Loch Fyne Bluewater in Dartford

We always visit here when we are at Bluewater. We always have the fish and chips and its always wonderful. Great place. Great staff. Also very covid secure from what we saw. Well done.

Good value at 50per cent off mains. The seafood grill I had was very good except the squid which was practically impossible to cut let alone to eat, staff just apologised. Certainly would not have been happy if had to pay full price £26+ .

It was our first visit to Loch Fyne and we were extremely pleased. Great service by friendly and attentive waiters, especially Luviu. The food was fantastic and very fresh. We had oysters, king prawn linguine and fish pie. We will definitely be returning soon.

The staff ... what can I say if you want the weight era too run past you ignoring you throughout the whole meal then come here . It was like they were literally running past you heads down “dont talk to us”!!! The restaurant wasn’t even busy! I asked fir a second wine I was given a napkin I then asked another weighted who reiterated what I said then never came back but kept walking past our table . We couldn’t get anyone’s attention toon to pay the bill... in the eve asked the guy behind the fish counter who was happy to help. When approaching the manager to explain how poor the service was she took my email address and nothing more than I swift apology was given . As to why she took my email address I don’t know. It’s such a shame we spent over £130 on lunch to be treated so poorly. If the waiters cant understand a simple request for another glass of wine then they shouldn’t be working there. It’s embarrassing ... a napkin then to be ignored by the Other . Terrible.

Their lunchtime set menu is a very good deal...under £15 for a meal, including a glass of wine... excellent. If you were in a second rate pub, that'd be cheap! However, you're in a pleasant airy corner of The Village with tables well apart, both inside or in the courtyard. The service was particularly attentive and the food tasty. I had the sardines and they were certainly fresh. Good lunch with a small bill.

This was one of many visits to this restaurant. Good atmosphere and very good fish dishes. The staff is welcoming and helpful.

The Restaurant was very quiet when we arrived. The team member who served us was very informative, polite and friendly and smiled when she was talking to us. The food was well presented, served on a warm plate and it tasted very good. We all had a pudding which were delicious. I felt we waited longer than we should have to have our order taken, however, I did only see 2 team members when I arrived. All in all, we had a very enjoyable meal with friendly service

We both enjoyed our starter (recommend the haddock fish cakes starter) main meal and desserts at lochfyne in blue water. Food is always nice and hot. Service was v good .

We served by Jenny and she was great food was on the table 10-15 min after we ordered. All staff helped and had a very happy welcome when we came to the restaurant. Very Quick Service ❤️

I’ve eaten here before and both courses were lovely , but not the case this time I chose Queen Scallops , they were very gritty and not very good . I did tell the the waitress , but nothing was really said . the Goan curry was tasty , so hence the rating but it has put me off returning . And it’s not a cheap lunch to be fair .

Once again a great meal at bluewater. We have been going there for years. Originally with family and now it is our meeting place for friends to celebrate. It's got a great atmosphere and you can enjoy your meal at your pace. We always eat outside in the extended restuarent area. Luckily we have our regular waiter who always gives us a lovely welcome. There's lots of choice,with fresh fish cooked in a variety of ways. Plus the special menus such as burns night which we had this time. The haggis neeps and tatties was so tasty with the whiskey sauce.

If you like friendly staff, good atmosphere and fabulous fish then this is the place to be. Tonight live bag pipes so original for Kent.

We three friends ate at Loch Fyne on 14th January and were very pleased with everything. The food was all good, the wine was nicely chilled and our waiter, Pavlin, was attentive and helpful.

First a word of warning....if you see the latest offer from Loch Fyne be aware!!! The advert offers "50% off of Mains" for the period of January, sounds good. The advert goes on to brag that there are "no voucher" requirements. However in the small print T's & C's the very last sentence states " not valid before 6 pm" We went to an early showing of the new film 1917 and decided to have an early evening meal at Loch Fyne about 5 minutes past 5 pm. Needless to say I had not read the small print so was very annoyed when I asked for my discount and was told No! I had salt and pepper squid to start. Overcooked and tough to chew. Sole with new potatoes was my main course. The sole was dry and overcooked and the potatoes were underdone. Not a great experience. Followed by the bill with a "discretionary" service charge of 12.5% added. Not a happy bunny! . Hence the reason for the title of this review.

So I had such high hopes to try some lovely sea food. We got bread with oil and balsamic (this turned out to be a very good idea!) As a grazer, I chose the haloumi for a starter and the garlic prawns (another starter) as a main. DO NOT choose this dish. It was lukewarm, unseasoned and swimming in oil. Horrible and tasteless and greasy! They did ask why I was not eating it and I gave my review in person. They offered to exchange it but I was a bit worried by what would come out as even the haloumi and sauce was not great. Very disappointed and will not be eating there ever again. On the plus side the bread was amazing!!!..... So I did at least manager to get something in my stomach.

Had a quick bite to eat here on the last weekend of the Christmas holidays, not overly busy at 5.30 ish, had some bread and dip, which was nice, followed by salmon and sea bass as mains, each of which came with two sides. The fish was well cooked and tasty, but the boiled potatoes were slightly hard, which was disappointing. Other dishes we saw being served looked good and the service was just right.

Throughly enjoyable meal, which we all enjoyed. Good food, great service and excellent value for money.

Enjoyed a relaxed late lunch .. delicious food...haggis scotch egg amazing...Goan fish curry gorgeous! Mussels excellent . However..fries not fried for very long,side plates a little stained.. Waiters a tad tired and crumpled in appearance..but friendly and courteous nevertheless

Loch Fyne in Bluewater always formed part of our annual U.K. Christmas pilgrimage. Unfortunately this was likely the last time for such a visit. Food was mediocre at best (my young son’s salmon filet was the best of our three meals). Carrots were hard (hard, not just al dente) other sides were a bit “meh” and an oyster that was non-existent was served. The chef had shucked the oyster and one gentleman justified serving it as “its nature, some are malformed, and we’d be doing a disservice not to serve as is”. Er, no, you’d decide you had a dud and not get the customer to tell you that but shuck another for then instead . Picture provided to give an indication of the oyster in question - as a chef would you have served it?

Christmas Eve dinner - amazing food - fish was outstanding. Together we had sea bass, salmon, haddock and oysters.

Poor service, they were behaving as we’re eating for free. Very spicy dish from kids menu. I’ll never go there again!

I have been here  on 2 other occasions only. Different  areas. Today i decided to head to this location.

My family and I were having quite a pleasant meal and time until we had to pay. Waiter saw cash on the table and went to take it. When I said I was going to pay by card he snatched the receipt from a pregnant family members hand puff put the card in the machine turn away as I entered my pin then took my card out and walked away. No thank you, merry christmas or good bye just damn right rude. Absolutly disgusted. Told manager who said he couldn't do anything now, apologised and walked me to the door. Felt very angry!!

Cold food, poor service really very bad value for money. Only ended up in here as Cote was full. My advice would be to totally swerve this place.

Went to our favourite restaurant before going to the cinema. Never disappoints! Had the chilli and garlic prawns to start and then, at Thomas’s recommendation, the smoked haddock with mash and mustard sauce (can’t remember what it was called on the menu!) it was beautiful, so much so I could literally have licked the plate! Really appreciated Thomas’s knowledge of the menu and his well-balanced/ timed attentiveness! We’ll be back soon!

Excellent eating experience …from walikng in the door and being greeted by Anna,seated and drink order taken,was maybe 5 minutes.

Popped in for early lunch. Relatively quiet Bluewater day but still busy here. Seated efficiently. My wife had a glass of white to complement her mussels and chips. I stuck with water for my smoked haddock. Both dishes tasty. Enjoyed lunch and the service.

Very good breakfast here.the haggis was particularly good.the service by Anna was great.the lunch and dinner menu looked good for the fish lovers out there.

We went to Loch Fyne Bluewater yesterday as our son had given us a voucher for our wedding anniversary. The meal was very nice and my fish was beautifully cooked. At the end of the meal I handed over our voucher. The waiter took it away to process, on his return he told me there was a service charge of £6.13 to pay. On reflection I should have refused to pay it as I thought it was a darn cheek and spoilt the meal for both of us. Should I want to leave a tip I would but to come over to ones table with the card machine in hand is an absolute disgrace! We will not be eating there again on principal.

Promptly shown to our table and order taken quickly and efficiently by Tom our polite and friendly waiter. Food delivered quickly and was very good quality. We opted for Tom's recommendation of smoked Haddock - which was great - the Creme Brûlée was also an excellent recommendation.

We had to visit Bluewater and decided to have breakfast before we went into the Mall proper. We enjoyed a fine breakfast which was presented beautifully and delivered to us by our waitress, Anna, in a warm and friendly manner.

Enjoyed an excellent meal to celebrate family member's birthday. Very attentive waiter who made some excellent recommendations in respect of the menu. Disappointed at the automatic 12.5% service charge applied to the bill without being asked though!

We stopped here before going home. The service to be seated was delayed with no apology despite not being busy.

We visited Loch Fyne on a packed Sunday for Bluewater. We were two friends wanting to have a quiet lunch & celebration. Lock Fyne didn’t have endless kids filling the tables & we were tempted by the lobster Thermidor on the menu.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, great service. What more can I say! Best steak I've had in a long time!

Turbot is no worth the money at all. They use frozen chips (even the chunky chips). Poor quality food

Lovely ambience. Food was good and served on time, friendly staff. Enjoyed the 2-4-1 on cocktails and 25% discount on dine. Toilet definitely not accessible wheelchair users as upstairs and no lifts however, there is a toilet outside loch. Value for money

As usual the steaks were of a high standard but we were VERY disappointed that the only sauces we were offered to go with the steak was either tomato ketchup or mustard !

Ordered sole off the specials board which was £24 was very unimpressed with the presentation just a small piece of fish and 6 small potatoes and that was it had something to eat when I got home as was starving wouldn't order again my ordered the sea bass which was lovely came with potatoes and vegetables and looked amazing

Went for family get-together. Overall the food was really very good. The only let-down on the food was a starter of butternut squash and ricotta tart. It was very bland and I could not detect any butternut squash in it.

Staff are very attentive and food delicious. Well presented. The lunch set menus are perfect for a midday appetite.

Pleasant for fish and chips and usually reliable. Good wine choice and easy accessible as on ground floor close to car park.

Really tasty lunch today at Loch Fyne. The table area just outside the restaurant is bright and we still felt part of it. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Will definitely return!

Good old fish and chips is always a good test so we chose to put the kitchen under scrutiny.

Although the restaurant was not full because of the lay out you did not feel out of place. the food was well presented and was full of taste.

Table for 2. Waiter seemed that he couldn't be bothered to serve us. After seating us he wandered of mumbling something. Between us we decided he was pointing out the specials board. Bread and balsamic ordered before starters didn't turn up. Taken off of bill by a very polite manager who came over to apologise.Side order of Samphire didn't turn up with main course. Had to ask for it. However.. the food could not be faulted. Probably the best fish cakes starter ever tasted. Yellow fin Tuna was perfect. Just a shame about the can't be arsed service.

Recently visited on a work do. Whilst the food was good the service was not. Our waiter was miserable and gave the impression he would rather be anywhere but Loch Fyne! Maybe he was having a bad day but as it was my first visit he did not give a good impression or reason to return.

6 of us enjoyed the lunch here. Dressed crab was excellent as were the fish cakes, sea bass and linguine. The chocolate tart was a particular favourite for dessert although there were certainly no complaints about the Eton mess, brownie or cheesecake. The staff were lovely and service prompt despite it being a busy Saturday. It’s not flashy but the food is good. Would return.

Popped in for a glass of champagne and was treated dreadfully. We were sat at a dirty table with ripped seats, took 10 minutes to take our order and ten minutes to get the bill after finishing the drinks while all the staff lent on the counter chatting to each other

Excellent food, service and atmosphere in this restaurant! We hadn’t been to Bluewater in a while so decided on a last minute trip up and had a family dinner at Loch Fyne. Special shout out to Jenny-Rose who served us. She was exceptional and very attentive. Will definitely be returning back again!

We really enjoyed our lunch at Loch Fyne today. Our waiter Tom was excellent, friendly and efficient. We had limited time but this was not a problem as the service was so good. We will be back.

When this chain first opened I visited often and really enjoyed. It seemed to go down hill and I've not been for ages, after today I probably won't be back.

Always friendly nothing too much trouble and very efficient. Our waitress Emma was brilliant and extremley helpful. The manager Steve apologised that the banquets were all taken but gave us a pick of anywhere else we would like to sit. Again very attentive. It is lovely to see the same staff each time. The staff make everything run really smoothly and regardless of the temperature outside which was unreal the cooking area surpassed themselves with the great food we were served.

Was disappointed again. Didn't want to dine in loch fyne after the first time but since my daughter birthday was coming up decided to give it a second change and oh boy was I dissatisfied. I don't usually write reviews either but I feel a duty to warn others. I am surprised how on earth loch fyne managed to stay open all these years. Anyway, the fish and chips were over cooked. The batter was almost burnt, the fish goes without saying a bit dry. The portion of cod on mash potatoes was so small and I don't think the cod was even fresh. I just don't know how loch fyne justify charging me £16 for it. It just taste mediocre. We have 2 other dishes but again the portion was small but pricey. Again portion and taste doesn't reflect the price. Avoid this restaurant. Not worth what was being charged.

We have eaten here as a family a few times and have enjoyed the meal, however I was disappointed when they stopped some favourite from the menu. Also be careful with promotions as they are normally Off Peak in the small print.

Front of house greeter was rude, off-hand and patronising. This was a shame because we do like Loch Fyne menu, and once seated the waitress was helpful and friendly.

Delicious breakfast, amazing value- excellent service! What more could you ask for ...? We had the eggs royale with the toast, tea and juice option - best breakfast away from home.

We stopped for lunch yesterday and ate outside. Firstly both the starters was amazing, scallops and smoked salmon, then for main I had grilled sea bass with salsa verde! Delicious , we waited on by the amazing Emma & Steve all afternoon, nothing was too much for them and they was so friendly, not often enough do you get friendly staff like this . Well done , definitely be eating here again ! Pat & Lisa x

We had two very nice meals here. The lobster was delicious and also the plateful of shellfish. The service was excellent and we will definitely return. It was my first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Had great evening out cannot fault the food and a great help and service from a waiter called Marc ....very good rapport with customers. .

Visited for lunch with my daughter and baby grandson. From waiting to be seated to leaving, we were treated so well. The greeting girl spent a few minutes finding the best place for us to sit with a bulky pushchair. The waitress brought the menus over immediately but left us to sort out getting seated with the baby. We chose from the 2 course menu, prawns and fish goujons to start and burger for main. What was lovely my daughter had to sort out the baby and they waited till she was back before cooking our burgers which were lovely but a bit too much after eating the delicious dark bread with the prawns. We also had 2 glasses of very nice cold white wine. All the staff were very friendly especially the lovely girl from Bulgaria. At less that £26.00 it was excellent value. This was my second visit and I we will be back.

Went to a menu preview night. It's a set menu 2 or 3 courses and it's what is due on the new menu. We ordered starter of chill squid & haddock fish cakes. The squid was not chewy & the chilli jam was tasty & not to spicy. The fishcakes came on a mash which was very tasty with mustard seeds in.

Looking for somewhere to eat in Blue water but didn't want anything too heavy so Loch Fyne seemed a good choice. I had the seafood curry which was very nice. If you love your seafood you won't be disappointed, excellent menu, plenty of choice.

Visited for a birtday meal a week ago, and have to say I was rather disappointed by everything. On arrival, the place looked pretty empty (it was quite late on a Saturday but we had booked), but was still made to wait for quite some time before we were seated. The waitress then informed me (rather curtly) that the evening meal deal menu wasn't available on a Saurday (even though this is not specified on the menu itself!). We then had to order from the ((rather overpriced) a la carte menu - I never understand why a restaurant in the middle of a waste tip (which is what Bluewater basically is) feel they have to charge exorbitant London prices. There is just no VFM in this sort of establishment, and if the good people of Kent feel ok about paying over the odds for basic fare, good luck to them. Being a rather poorly paid Council worker, I just will not be encouraged to pay these prices. After all that, a few of the menu items weren't available anyway (such as crab which we fancied, and samphire with our fish dish, replaced by a miniscule amount of spinach!). The main fish dishes ordered were ok, but nothing more. Won't be visiting again any time soon.

My husband and I had lunch here. The fish and chips were delicious light crispy batter. The smoked haddock was dry and reheated. I have ordered this many times no problem. So we will give them another chance

I love this place after a long day of shopping!:-D literally the best lobster you will ever taste and I have just heard that they are adding loads more delicious things onto thier new menu so I will be excited to try some of the new mouthwatering dishes (including lots of vegan choices)

Last minute decision to have lunch rewarded with poor quality food (tasteless prawn tagliatelle, chargrilled burger lacking any depth in taste), and a very average service. First bad meal at Loch Fyne in many a year. Will delay any return to Loch Fyne.

The staff here are something else and not in a good way!

Booked this restaurant for lunch with our family. Food was lovely and the service very good. The staff were very attentive and allowed us to take our time over the menu, they were not in a rush to get us out of the door unlike some of the restaurants in Bluewater. Their wine selection was very good.

Our meal was gorgeous if you love fish go there there was meat dishes to choose from and deserts were lovely

We went to this restaurant hoping for a lovely meal. The food was just OK. I had 'standard' fish and chips, this fish wasn't anything amazing, a little dry actually. Chips were OK and the very small portion of mushy peas was OK. All in all very average apart from the price £17!!

Excellent Fish fried British style. Great chips and Mushy peas. Loved the tarter source. Ice cream needs improvement. Family visit May 2019.

We visit this restaurant quite often and have always been impressed both with the service and the food. This latest visit was no exception. It was the last day of a discount offer and was busier than usual. Our waiter was Tom and he coped exceptionally well. Our food was very well cooked and as we like it. As was the dessert. All in all a very enjoyable visit.

Having not been to the restaurant for over a year we decided to book for a Saturday night. On arrival we were greeted at the door and shown to our table by a very pleasant member of staff, in fact all the staff we interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. Having just joined the Loch Fyne club I took the opportunity to have our free glasses of champagne which was a reasonable quality one. The food we ordered was spot on, good sized portions, well cooked and tasty, two of us had fish and chips (cod), one had the fish pie and the fourth had Goan Seafood curry. With starters and shared deserts we had a very tasty meal and would certainly recommend.

We eat at Loch Fyne fairly often and take advantage of the discounts offered. We visited last evening Saturday knowing that we would pay the full cost and were happy to do so.

Cutlery were dirty and had food on them. Wine glass had lipstick on it all very disgusting.Had the mussles and tasted of just to much garlic the fish my partner had was still a bit raw so sent back and it came back to us stone cold. Waitress couldnt have cared and had an attitude because had told her the cutlery should have been checked before placing on the table same as the wine glass.The fish was left as now served cold and hence we asked for the bill and left. Not the way to run a place..

Visited with my family recently and had a lovely experience, our waiter Marc was very polite helpful and nothing was too much trouble , the food was fantastic and will definitely be back soon

Stopped here on our way home from Dover castle. It was my partners birthday so wanted somewhere nice. Service was outstanding by a lady with dark hair.

Meet my friend for lunch at lunch fund, was meet by the smiley manager who took us to a table outside the restaurant. Our waiter was really helpful when I have him my membership card which gave us a free glass of champagne. There was 2 menus, a set menu which was very cheap & a a la carte menu. We chose the set menu, I had sprats & my friend had pate. Both starters where fresh, hot & presented well. The waiter was very attentive & helpful. We both had mussels, they were very fresh & the sauce tasty. There was fresh bread with the mussels. The waiter gave us lots of time to talk & decide about desserts which we declined. The bill was reasonable & made a great lunch.
