Just been there,absolutely fabulous food Service was 1st rate,cannot rate it highly enough Had to take a doggy bag home as portions were really good

We had the lobster, which is the most expensive protein on the menu and was overcooked. Very chewy. You would hope that your premium items would be cooked perfectly and given the name of the restaurant. I would have loved for it to melt in my mouth, Unfortunately, it did not, and we all had stomach cramps. Maybe we went on the wrong day and had the leftovers from the day before. We were sad as we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant after they won Come Dine with me in 2022. Very disappointed. We will not be going back.

I’ve wanted to go here for a really long time and we finally went tonight. It didn’t disappoint. I had the Thai green salmon curry and it was lovely, my sister had the Thai duck and that was fantastic, such a big portion! I would definitely come back, it’s good even if you don’t want seafood. Really cute inside, especially the cool chair with the dragon armrests. The waitress was very nice too, no wonder they’ve been there such a long time.

The best place to eat by far in nottingham. Myself and husband absolutely love love love this place! The staff are amazing! The food is out of this world! You MUST Check it out !

Oh my goodness, what a lovely place. Do not be put off by the fact it is near a shopping centre. It is like a tardis from the outside. The people are so gorgeous, and the food is to die for. Mussels , Pad Thai, and lobster what's not to like . Indoor decor is imaginative and authentic

Went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a great evening. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It was a Friday evening and every table was occupied which contributed to the great atmosphere. We had a mixture of food from the main menu , very large choice and also the specials board - garlic prawns to die for . All of the food was well presented and cooked perfectly , quite large portions . Only 1 negative comment would be we had to wait 20 minutes between courses, however this didn’t spoil the evening. We will definitely return 😀

Fantastic little find. Great service and lovely food and well priced for the quality. Oysters with that spicy Thai dressing was amazing, followed by a whole lobster to share. Only feedback I'd say is the drinks menu could be far better, but we'll definitely go back again soon to maybe trey some of the Thai dishes.

Delightful dining experience trying the shellfish platter, pad thai, and fresh oysters. The shellfish platter was a true seafood delight cooked to perfection. The pad thai was authentically Thai, perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. As for the oysters, they were really fresh. Services and staffs were great as they checked in from time to time to ensure that everything was alright. I throughly enjoyed the experience at Lobster Pot.

Came here for a celebratory dinner with my boyfriend. We had the Haddock Chowder and the Calamari to start followed by the Seafood platter. The food was incredible everything was cooked perfectly and piping hot. It was our 1st time here and won't be our last. My 1st time eating both Oysters and Lobster and they were amazing. The service was excellent and the food was reasonably priced. I have seen reviews on here saying it's overpriced but Seafood isn't cheap, and factor in the costs of prepping and cooking the dishes as well as overheads for the restaurant i didn't think think the 130 that we paid for our meal was unreasonable. I would definitely recommend coming here for the platter alone but all the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic and everyone dining there was happy. If you like seafood or thai style cooking then i couldn't recommend anywhere better.

I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and the food and service are always good. I ordered takeaway via Uber Eats today and the food was just as lovely. We had the Thai green chicken curry and Pad Thai with vegetables. It took less than 20 minutes including delivery, and both meals were delicious with very good portion size. I accidentally put my order through before my promo code had been applied, but spoke to the restaurant on the phone and they very kindly left me cancel and re-order! Chanced upon The Lobster Pot on Trip Adviser looking for a seafood restaurant. Service was a little slow at first- I would say they were short 1 person front of house- and very much a work in progress, feeling their way towards efficiency but charming, attentive and friendly. The menu was an impressive mix of seafood, Thai and mix of both. Our meals were hot, looked attractive and tasted wonderful. At £25 per head for mains plus drinks, it was good VFM too. Will definitely go back, probably quite soon. Recommended.

Had a takeaway from here last week. Never again. The lobster was well overcooked, very expensive mistake! Also the squid rings were like rubber, again overcooked. The only edible thing we ordered was the mussels. Won't be ordering again.

My wife and I visited on NYE lunchtime. This was our 1st visit. The menu is a mixture of Sea Food and Thai food. I went for the Tom Yum Spicy Thai soup,which was lovely. My wife opted for crab bites which she enjoyed . For main my wife fancied mussels, but unfortunately they didn’t have any, which is the only reason for not giving a 5. For my main I went for Prawn Special fried rice. This was lovely with several freshly cooked prawns and lovely soft Rice. My wife had 2 x pots of tea.I had a coffee, liquor coffee, and a bottle of bishops finger and it came to a little over £60i thought was very reasonable .The staff were very friendly and efficient. I went for a meal with family on my Birthday and the we were so impressed with how big and fresh the Oysters were for such a small place the quality was better than the likes of Loch Fyne in the city centre. The manager made us aware that the Lobster Pot on Mansfield road doesn't offer the option of any Asian dishes so we were so glad we chose the Beeston one as it gave us more choice.AMAZING GOOD AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ALL THE STAFF WAS OVERWHELMINGLY GOOD, REALLY MADE ME FEEL SPECIAL ON MY BIRTHDAY!

Myself and my husband have visited here a few times now and can honestly say we do not have a bad word to say about the place! The staff are so friendly and attentive, Natalie and Elisha always make us feel so welcome! I also regularly eat from there pop up food store on Wednesdays and have got a few work colleges eating there too!! A must visit!

I'd personally never been to this restaurant before. My two friends who accompanied me had done a few times previously and of course they could not wait to show me the hype. The staff were super friendly and welcoming which was only just the start of our experience. The food itself was mind blowing and no matter how full I may have been I could not resit to keep going on! Needless to say a good coma followed quickly after leaving. But overall I will definitely be going back and in the mean time recommending to all!

Came across this great place when shopping at sainsburys in beeston, food was very good, lovely fresh fish dishes(meat dishes available too) It was a nice surprise to find thai dishes also available that complemented the fish dishes perfectly at very reasonable prices, definitely will return again soon

Friendly staff buy probably the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. The starters of prawn toast and calamari were clearly deep fried from frozen - the prawn toast was tasteless with slop in the middle. The oil needed changing. The fish similarly was rubbery, frozen chips and microwaved rice.

4 of us went on a Saturday night. Quite a few empty tables when we arrived about 7 pm but only 2 empty by the time we left. Fresh bread was brought out while we decided on the menu. I had the large pad thai with prawns (8) which was quite a big portion but I managed to eat it all and one of the best I have had. My husband had the tamarind prawns which he also enjoyed. He did want beef instead of prawns though for his iron fix but they had run out. Son & Daughter-in-Law shared the full lobster which was quite small for 2. Dishes don't come with extras which you have to order separately. So ordered rice to go with the tamarind prawns and the lobster and also a mixed vegs. Didn't have any entrees or dessert but the menu is quite good for all with vegetarian and meat options. Staff were friendly enough but a bit distant. Food came out in a timely manner. Would recommend the food here.

Nice restaurant, with a variety of fish and seafood dishes. I was disappointed by the scallops in cheese the first time I went, good but very small portion, and the curry seemed quite small plus you have to order the rice as an additional side. However the 2nd time I went I had the pad thai noodles that were very nice and a normal portion size too.

Tried tonight after all the hype you see on Facebook and Instagram and it was utterly rubbish- gritty scallops you get 4 for £13 and no sides, pad Thai noodles were basically supper noodles with a few veggies - honestly don’t know if we we went on a bad night but £20 on a local Chinese had more flavour than the £100 spent in there! Really underwhelming disappointing food.

Another person had Bream which was overcooked. The lobster was supposed to be cooked with garlic but all it was a greenish sauce on top of lobster and definitely no taste of garlic. The fact that you get no side orders with your food, you have to order them separately is shocking considering the prices of each meal. I complained about the Calamari Rings but was still charged for them! I thought everything was overrated, outrageously expensive and the food was not up to scratch. One person ordered egg rice, there was no egg to be seen!!!! The service was also very slow and not good at all. First visit but most definitely the LAST. I would not recommend the restaurant at all

I had seen the beautiful food being posted on Facebook so we decided to give it a try for my Birthday.

A lovely restaurant, good and varied menu (if you like fish) good service and fantastic food, i highly recommend the Lobster Pot to all fish lovers.

The menu here is basically Thai with a twist. Most of the food is seafood and is delicious, although some of the combinations are a bit odd. I love scallops, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, but I’m not sure they work together. However, my companions were delighted with their orders of lobster and mussels. The Tom Yum soup was a highlight; very spicy but tasty. The staff were fabulous and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Perhaps the fact there was space on a Friday night without booking might have warned us! Food was average, mussels over cooked as were scallops. Waitress didn’t ask if everything was ok or we would have said then rather than reviewing here.

We needed a venue to hold our 100 day celebration (a Chinese tradition) somewhere where we could gather and have good food. We was delighted that the Lobster Pot could cater for us, they booked out the whole venue for us, created a personalised menu for Chinese, English and vegetarian guests. Having been before we was pleased that the food, service and whole event was excellent. Everyone commented on how good the food was and had a great time.

The only decent dish was the lobster. The waitress gave us the dessert menus and if you don’t like ice cream then you won’t get a dessert. I had the fudge cake again nothing special for the price. We ordered three liquor coffees all were like warm did mention they were Luke warm to which the waitress said oh!

I visited Lobster Pot on my birthday on August 4th with my young adult son .I reserved a table through the restaurant online system which is simple and very clear to use. We chose the seafood cold shared platter which included a full lobster, oysters, langoustines, clams and prawns, fried rice and chunky chips as sides. All washed down with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc.The seafood was amazing.Raw oysters were fresh and the rest well cooked and tasty and very abundant. The waitress was very polite and helpful. Iwould strongly recommend to double check ,before eating, not to be allergic or intolerant to any type seafood..Unfortunately I have discovered,at my expenses, to be intolerant to oysters and ended up in the hospital. This happened solely because I am intolerant, as my son eat them as well and he was just fine. I Cannot wait to go back to Lobster Pot for another excellent meal. No oysters for me this time

First impression of the restaurant was that it was dated. The tables had an antique look and the hanging plants made it looked like a garden centre.
