Top notch food and service as always, excellent beer choice and even better quality served by The Landlord, who knows a thing or two about quality Ales. We did however struggle to get a taxi, no problem at all as The Landlord drove us back to Denbigh himself gratis..Beautiful setting highly recommended..

Fab place to go and enjoy a few drinks with friends and family or even alone. Lovely country setting with lots to offer. Great food and drinks. They are dog and horse FRIENDLY too. Huge bonus for some. Tom and Annie are very welcoming and its lovely that they take time out to acknowledge their customers on each visit. Having been recently I can say that they are doing the very best that they can within the governments guidelines. There are lots of seating areas with clear instructions marked on each table for customers to be able to place your order. Very straight forward. Well done to all at the Llindir! Hopefully soon we can all get back to some normality. It’s been a tough year for us all. Best wishes.

My wife and I stayed in the area several years ago and loved this place but it’s changed hands and now has terrible customer service. We ordered a gin and tonic and pint of IPA the land lord came out saying how he taken the Liberty to give us a double gin , and then charged us for it, making a gin and beer nearly £14! I asked for another pint of the same beer and got something completely different. Place looks shabby and it’s a shame but it was a great place several years ago.

I’ve watched the llindir slowly go downhill for the last couple of years. My last visit was the final straw for us, they are making no effort to prevent covid. We were there for an afternoon and tables weren’t wiped once. Glasses were left outside for hours, new customers had to pick up old customers glasses as every empty table was full with empties. There was one young lady behind the bar who constantly had a queue the scruffy landlord seemed to pop in for 5 minutes and out every hour or so, i heard him advise the barmaid to tell customers to bring their own glasses in as they don’t have chance to get them (then the landlord returned back upstairs ). Don’t get me wrong, yes, it is polite for people to bring their own glasses back, but for £4-£5 a pint it is certainly included in the price! The beer and cider choice was limited. Food has just started up, last time we were there it was burger, vegetarian burger or fish and chips, i know a limit menu can help it to be cooked well, but thats too limited! And things that can’t really go wrong. The llindir has so much potential and used to be a great place! Something needs to change fast otherwise its going to end up as another failed pub.

The restaurant in this thatched pub has recently re-opened. They have started off with a simple menu but I understand the quality of the food is first class.I ordered the noodles with pheasant in Hoison sin sauce. My goodness, the flavours were fantastic. A big healthy portion too. The chilli heat of the dish was just right for me but I am sure customers could ask the chef to tone it down if they don't like their food spicy hot.I will definitely be eating at the Llindir again.

Just had a superb Partridge for Sunday lunch at the Llindir Inn, Henllan. With 10 different vegetables on the plate, all cooked to perfection, and a delicious Partridge this has to be one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We were staying in the village about 150 yards away from this pub, so it was a no brainer to visit for dinner. The beer was good, some brewed on the premises, but the food didn't match up to it. It came after a long wait and was much underseasoned. Yes I know you can always add, but it was tasteless unfortunately.

Decided to have lunch here after visiting people nearby. Our sat nav stopped giving directions shortly after we passed the Inn, so turned around and asked a helpful local who came out of the Inn to point us in the right direction. Very friendly. I called the previous evening to ask if we needed to book, and was told there was no need. By the time we got back to the Inn after our short visit it was packed with diners so a good idea to book for Sunday lunch. They found us a table so big sigh of relief. I ordered the beef, a very generous portion cooked to perfection and on the rare side. The huge Yorkshire pudding was delicious, as were the potatoes and vegetables that were just as I like them and not overcooked. My partner had the chicken, again a generous serving of meat. The service was quick and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Would certainly return if we are in that area again.

Yorkshire puddings were soggy abc not cooked, gravy watery. Then the sweet menu was even worse choice no menu just a choice of ice cream or sticky toffee pudding which would have been lovely if it had been served with the stated toffee source but it had a weird brandy source with it when we were told it would be toffee, all in all dreadful meal which we won’t repeat turned out to be an exsoebsice ad hoc meal out! Looking at the other favourable reviews, I think we must have gone on a day that the chef was ill or off! Went with 20 friends on a Saturday afternoon, pre-ordered, no-one else on the place eating. Food came out over the course of 3/4 hour with the first ones served having finished by the time the last ones were served (this doesn't include one person's whose meal hadn't even been made due to a mix up). Chips were inedible, obviously been reheated and reheated, hard as nails. I had chicken burger which I sent back as stone cold. Came back warm but so dry and the bacon so hard, I couldn't eat it. Our long awaited third visit, and was not disappointed. A stunning Sunday roast, but what made the meal was the selection of vegetables. (At least 7/8 if not more) Most of which I’ve never heard of. Romenescu, cavel Nero, roasted kohlrabi! Spoke to the young waiter and he said all veg was organic and locally grown, also local meats, all farmed within a few miles, well done and Fantsatic. Love the craft ale. A real gem of a country pub. Keep up the good work

However we were kept waiting for several minutes to be told yes they could so again I asked for the menu to which we were kept waiting for several minutes again. The young man then returned with two female members of staff and they all completely ignored us when finally one of the girls told us "we've only got eight menus and they're all with customers". This is our local so we're a bit biased, but the food is so good since the new chef arrived. The "small" plate starters are really generous, the best creamy garlic mushrooms I've had in a very long time. Delicious proper scampi and chips and tasty salt and pepper squid (with a spicy dressing!). It's traditional wholesome pub food with a twist, served with generous well prepared salads and vegetables in one of the most picturesque pubs in Wales. (However, I still miss a good old fashioned half a roast chicken and chips, and perhaps Chef could keep some local Henllan Bakery products in the freezer for those of us who don't go for trendy Brioche buns with their burgers..far too sweet!).Thank you..till next time.

Really friendly and flexible staff, so one of our party swapped the brioche on the burger for bloomer loaf instead. Can't fault anything at all - delicious food, really lovely staff, friendly atmosphere in the pub and great drinks. Fantastic to see this place get a new lease of life. Definitely one for a revisit...quite fancy Sunday lunch!

I am lucky enough that this is my local!! Popped in on Sunday for a roast. It was either beef of lamb. The meat was melt in your mouth and both meats were cooked to perfection. With yummy homemade Yorkshire puddings, plenty of gravy and tasty veg. It is run by a very efficient team. I have also had another meal here which was also fantastic. That was lamb shank!! To have a restaurant on your own door step that does such lovely locally produced food is a real treat.

Thatched Inn in a picturesque village. Stumbled on it on way back from mountain biking courtesy of satnav lottery. 2 course roast was £14 per person. It turned out to be one of the best roasts I've had. Meat cooked to perfection, potatoes great and veg was divine. Gravy was pretty good too. I'll be making a detour to stumble on it again!

I've been twice to this pub for an excellent meal and as I'm Gluten- free it can sometimes be difficult finding something suitable, but nothing is too much trouble for the chef and friendly hard-working staff, resulting in a delicious 3 course meal of the highest standard at a very affordable price. Great atmosphere and its wonderful to see young people bringing back the village pub to life - I wish you every success lads

Due to my mum moving into Henllan, we needed somewhere local to eat, the Llindir Inn was so good we ended up eating several times during the week whilst we got her settled in to her new home. What a great find, very friendly staff, excellent and friendly locals too. It's a true Welsh inn with various rooms to eat in and a nice open fire to keep you warm in the winter. The food is very very good from a small but comprehensive menu. Ales on tap are from a local brewery, reasonably priced and again are excellent. The inn also has a large off road car park.

We have been trying to get to this place for the past 18mths. Every time we arrived it was either shut or not serving food. New management now turned up expecting the worst how wrong. It's had a face lift very cosy and welcoming clean and smart. Fantastic first impression, couldn't do enough, nice when you have 23 mth old twins and a Jack Russel. The menu looks ace and the food we decided on was fantastic. All in all a great place and a great service. Will be going again and again and again!!!

I have written a review before....not very encouraging for prospective diners, but that was when the inn had a food hygiene rating of only 1....imagine that!!!Well things have changed considerably so if you are looking at reviews older than December 2016 then ignore them, they are totally not relevant to the situation today.Give this inn a visit and try the menu. You will be given a warm welcome and I am sure that you will enjoy the food and ambiance.Oh and by the way order one of the local beers!!!!!

I was looking for a new place to try for a decent Sunday lunch and was totally amazed at the standard of food for the price at the Llindir. Fabulously warm welcome upon arrival from the staff. A roaring wood burner stove fire in the bar and a delightful selection of quality wines. The restaurant is lovely and quaint with a mixed clientele of families, couples and friends, all clearly enjoying their meals and the atmosphere. The food was beautifully served and I could hardly believe the quality for the price. All the food was freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients, presented to an exceptionally standard. I'm still amazed to have found an absolute gem tucked away in Henllan village that leaves the other places standing. Well worth a visit. Booking is recommended. Well done the Llindir. Superb

Having had generally great reviews from diners, the Llindir Inn went through "changes and problems", and though open, no longer served food, which was a great shame. However, in early December 2016 "food was back on the menu", and word slowly got out about this. Upon seeing very good reviews recently of the food, service and ambience we decided to have lunch there as a family on a cold Thursday dinnertime. The recent high praise given to the Lllindir Inn by a number of tripadvisor reviewers, was we found, well deserved. It was quiet there when we dined, but once people get to know that food is being served there again, and food of a high standard, then it will I am sure flourish. Owen the manager is an asset to the place, and the chef provided all four of us adults with fine food. We could not fault anything, and for those who like their various "speciality ales" there are plenty to choose from. In the bottom bar area a nice fire was burning in the hearth. The whole place was warm and welcoming. We look forward in the coming weeks, months and hopefully years to dining on a regular basis at the Llindir Inn, which is now back on the map for great food in a fine old village inn/pub.

It has been years since we visited the Llindir inn. What a transformation, we arrived expecting to grab a quick scampi and chips to be welcomed by Owen behind the bar. The food menu was small but covered all angles, ended up with the homemade parfait to start..... lovely. Then a nice local cooked steak and homemade burger for Main course. All the food was locally sourced and homemade also at a very reasonable price. Great to have another lovely place for dinner in the Vale of Clwyd. Well done to the new owner and chef, a major turn around for Henllan.

I had already heard other customers raving about the food and good quality service so my wife and I chose to eat there last night. Fabulous. Owen was great and always ensured that our glasses were full and checked a few times that we were enjoying the food. We were! The starter of squid was sublime. I had a tasty steak and my pudding (apple crumble) hit the top spot. Together with good local brewed beer and excellent wine for my wife it was a great evening. We will definitely eat there on a regular basis.
