Very friendly welcome to us and our dog Norman. Very reasonable price for bar food. Nice simple decor and warm fire on. Lovely young lady looked after us. Would recommend.

We went today for a Sunday lunch, we both had the beef, I asked for just yourkshire pudding and roast, as I don't eat veg or boiled poatoes, the lunch had no flavour, our beef was chewy and rubbery, them they charged me extra 2 pounds for a extra Yorkshire pudding and roast, that i didn't ask for. I did say about it but they said I asked for it. Gravy was like water. The cup of tea was nice

Lovely place! Stayed for the weekend as we were at a wedding just a few minutes away. Excellent breakfasts the beds were super comfy. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend it!

We all had a meal there. My husband had a steak - couldn’t eat it - it was full of gristle- shocking for £20.00 When we went to pay they knocked £5 off which was atrocious The temper on the manager was absolutely shocking - will never call there again.

We stayed at the llanina for 2 nights and will 100% return. The bars got a lovely warm feel and the room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice for my 9year old daughter. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was all homemade and amazing. The staff are all brilliant and made us feel really welcome. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Arrived to a very warm Welsh welcome, which was lovely after a long trip down and a long day on a course. Stayed for 2 nights. Room was spacious, well decorated, and had a homely feel. Beds very comfortable. Complementary Tea, Coffee and Biscuits in the room. Plenty of soft fluffy towels and no shortage of hot water! Bathroom was clean and spacious. Despite being on a fairly busy road I slept like a log! Breakfast was lovely, day one I had the full breakfast, fresh eggs, sausage, and bacon along with hash browns, mushrooms and beans! Day two I had a sausage and hash brown sandwich which was equally as nice! Definitely recommend a stay here if you need somewhere comfortable, reasonably priced and welcoming!

Unfortunately our booking dropped from 7 to only 2 as most of our party were poorly. We decided to still go as we fancied a Roast. We are so glad we did. We (and our dog) were made so welcome. Our Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding was excellent. Plenty of meat, roast and mashed potatoes, loads of fresh vegetables and extra gravy, could not ask for more. We could not manage a dessert so cannot comment. But excellent value for money.

Lovely pub near Newquay. Food was excellent and good value as well. There was a great local atmosphere in the bar, and the landlord and staff are amazing.

The 'bar restaurant' was noisy and not relaxing at all. The ffood was hugely disappointing, especially given the price of £12.50 for chips and scampi. Nothing home made about any of the meal, it was Wetherspoons on a mediocre day at best. If the ingredients are 'locally sourced'they must have come from freezers at the local Cost Cutters. Shameful misrepresentation as portrayed on their web site.

We were staying in a caravan site just down the road, the heavens opened and our barbecue plans were rained off.The Llanina Arms were able to fit us in for dinner and I'm sooo glad it was raining as the meal was lovely.A warm welcome on arrival, lovely pleasant team on hand in the bar and restaurant.We both had the minted lamb burger which was excellent, hot, tasty, red cabbage coleslaw, onion rings and amazing chips.I thought i was full, but when ALL the desserts are home made, you can't say no. Arrived after a 6 hour drive to the most hospitable host! Friendly and welcoming, room is lovely and clean. Very spacious and comfy. They were fully booked for food but squeezer us in. We booked a table and we were seated promptly on time! Our order was taken and the food arrived swiftly! We both had Gammon and the whole meal was excellent. We enjoyed a dessert. The staff were mainly very good, friendly and helpful. When it was time to pay the young waitress struggled to operate the card machine. Overall we were very happy, good food, excellent value!

Unfortunately, contrary to the vast amount of reviews, we found the sunday lunch awful. The mash potato was rubbery and no option of having it without the leeks mixed in. The gravy was tastless and the Yorkshire puddings were a thick stoge like pudding. The peas and french beans were frozen not fresh. And carrots were roasted. Generally a dinner that was not child friendly. My son just wanted simple mash and carrots. We all had to plaster the food with salt to give it 'some' taste.My parents (elderly) have both been feeling quite sick all day since eating. We definitely would not return nor recommend On a plus the service and waiter/waitress were lovely.

Booked last minute for a family of 14 for Sunday lunch to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. The team a the Llanina Arms could not have been more accommodating, they asked us to pre order the main meals which was understandable, we were all sat together, and the staff could not have been more attentive. The food was amazing, hot tasty and beautifully presented, and even accommodated the ‘fussy’ eaters as well as 3 very young children, home cooked and plenty of it, very reasonably priced , will definitely go again, if your in the area I would highly recommend it

Excellent meal last evening. We were accommodated at short notice so had to eat in bar but this didn’t detract from a lovely meal with excellent service. Menu is traditional pub food but very well cooked, fresh and well presented. Excellent value with steak at £15. Will definitely return.

This place, a hidden gem. Let down by a local pub we booked here. We know hospitality is having it rough but fantastic service especially from a very tall gentleman. Wick friendly service. Phenomenal food. Huge portions but excellent quality. The lamb burger, the most delicious I have had. All of us enjoyed and they accommodated my 14 year old who is really fussy. Booked to stay here for 3 nights. From the off we had to prompt someone to attend to us. They were all sat behind the bar. They noticed us but ignored us. Not a great start. We were handed a key and told “number **” I asked how we got there and she pointed to the stairs. The room was spacious as was the en suite. It smelled heavily of bleach. On closer inspection it was quite dusty. The lamps at the bedside had exposed vintage bulbs and these heavy with dust. The cups had dust in them too. Our room had the worlds most disappointing view of the Texaco petrol station and the main road. Luckily the window was double glazed and the curtains were blackout. The corridors, stairs to dining room and the outdoor stair area all need cleaning up. Maybe add some plug ins to get rid of the ‘ house’ smell. Our ‘super king’ bed was two singles pushed together, which meant no cuddling without one of us laying on the ‘joined part’. Breakfast was simple, having all been cooked in bulk. A small pot of beans, 1 sausage, 2 bacons, 1 large black mushroom. A couple of cherry on the vine tomatoes and a fried egg. Toast, cereal and yogurts also available as well as juice, tea and very weak coffee. 2 mornings in my husband asked for 2 glasses, explaining today is our 30th wedding Anniversary and we had a small bottle of champagne. “I’ll get you some glasses” was her reply! That was it. There was not an ounce of warmth or welcome from anyone. We did see them ask the next table where they were going today, so it would be nice to extend that to ALL paying customers. We only ate 1 evening meal in the pub. The food was basic. We didn’t even get offered dessert menus and the waitress was young and moody and clearly hated her job. I know it’s to be expected is a little noise, but my god it was LOUD. From 9pm until midnight banging doors, shouting, banging up the stairs. Voices and babies crying and kids running about were amplified and that was with a tv on! We wouldn’t stay here again. It should be advertised as a family only accommodation as that’s who it is really aimed at. If you want a quiet evening you cannot stay here. If you want a cheerful welcome or small talk and a “have a good day” don’t stay here. Very disappointed.

Food was fantastic and huge portions, one of us had the lamb burger and it was so juicy. The home made puds are a must to if you have room but I do recommend you make room lol. The staff were really welcoming even though they were busy.

Called in en-route to Pembrokeshire and so pleased we did, host’s were so polite and friendly and genuinely accommodating, food was lovely and honestly tasty, only shame is we live nearly 200 miles away and without doubt this would be our local. Fantastic place.

What we didn't like:This business could really improve on the following, and sadly this is why I don't recommend it. No attention to detail when serving in the restaurant and in the rooms:If we are a family of three, cutlery, toiletries and toilet rolls for three people would be expected to be provided. Making the beds and replenising coffee and tea facilities would have been nice too. When the owners/staff was approached regarding replenishing of shower gels and shampoos they said that they only give one on arrival (small tubes for one use, for one person) as most guests bring their own toiletries with them! Lack of good customer service to ALL their customers: we experienced an issue with the shower not having water on the day we were checking out and when we raised the issue we did not get an apology but saw the owners/staff apologising to another family who had the same issue and were staying for longer. Whilst I was already in the shower struggling to get the shampoo and soap off my body, my husband went downstairs to explain the problem and moving to another room for the shower was offered. This solution was unpractical and by the time my husband returned to the bedroom Ivve already sorted myself out as better as I could. In any case, I believe the issue was in all rooms in the hotel and walking in robes full of soap to the end of the corridor to another bathroom wasn't my idea of a having a normal shower.We left with a bad taste on our mouths and felt this business did not appreciated all their customers' custom, definitely not ours! Going the extra mile is always a plus for any business. If there is a technical issue, or any inconvenience caused by the hotel and the guests are asking if anything can be done (like a small discount off the bill which is what we asked for, for not being able to shower properly as water stopped running from the shower whilst shampoo and gel was already on my body, in the morning on the day of check out). The owners were not apologetic to us, argued about the things I could have done (I explained I had to wash my hair with cold water from the hand washing sink and they said that I could have used the hot water from the basin too! I explained that as there are two taps one for hot one for cold, it was not possible and they said I should have mixed it together on the sink and wash my hair there! They even asked me what a big hotel would have done for me (I don't know what that has anything to do with anything), they were adamant to listen to my views and my complaint and in the end they totally REFUSED a discount.I rather give my custom to a good business/ good owners that would appreciate custom and truly care for all their guests.What we liked:My husband got an Amazon small parcel delivered and they collected it for him. Large spacious rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of storage (wardrobe and drawers) in the rooms. The location for exploring the area was fantastic.Tasty food (but portions sizes vary from day to day!)

Credit to staff for keeping smiling despite being completely overwhelmed by demand from the eat-out-help out scheme. Gave up on food order after 3/4 hour wait and barman rudely didn’t return after a polite request for a timescale. Food here looked great but we just couldn’t wait the 1-2 hour waiting time. Also some significant concerns re overcrowding and little acknowledgement to social distancing. Shame!

just back from a 3 night stay and it was very good there were 4 of us and booked the flat it was massive bedroom 1 was big with huge walk in wardrobes and big bed, bedroom 2 had 2 nice single beds,living room 2 sofas table and chairs tv cooker and kitchen facilities, views to front back and side, bathroom a bit compact with a shower toilet and hand basin the owners and staff couldnt do enough for you, the breakfast was really good with a lot of choice, bar and menu prices were probably the cheapest around and both food and drinks were very good, huge car park huge slide for the kids beer garden huge gazebo with table and chairs central to cardigan and aberystwyth both under 20mls. newquay less than 5 mins drive aberaeron 7 mins drive. lots of places to walk and coves to discover. this is a little gem and reasonable prices (ps raving555674 reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt) go on the majority of reviews i will come back defo

Waited 45 minutes for 2 starters which included mushrooms in cream sauce which were raw. Medium steaks were raw in the middle and at that point we left, a shame because we've eaten here before a few years ago and liked it. Maybe an off day, maybe not.

We had lunch here today. Service was outstanding and staff were very pleasant. Dinner was lovely although we’re not really a fan of the ‘garlic’ roast potatoes with a Sunday roast. The gravy was the worse I’ve ever tasted, in fact is was almost like a thick water, completely tasteless and I had to flood my dinner with condiments to compensate. I overheard that the chef had recently left so will definitely return as I’m hoping the replacement chef will make tasty gravy I would recommend this place as it would be crazy to think one minor fault would stop me visiting this beautiful place.

My husband and I visited Llanina Arms yesterday whilst we were visiting New Quay for the weekend with our dog, Annie. The bar area is dog friendly so we were able to take Annie with us. The menu choice was great, something to please everyone and reasonably priced too. We could not get over the size of the portions when the food arrived... huge! And it tasted amazing! Really enjoyed our meals! Definitely value for money!! If we visit New Quay again we will be back! Thank you guys!

Booked the Llanina for a 30th party, ordered a basic buffet which was much better than the average that you would expect. The hospitality was second to none, great welcome and service.

We stayed Mon 16th for 2 nights B&B, all the staff were so friendly and lovely to talk to, they couldn't do enough for us!The room we had was lovely, clean and spacious.Check in is at 4pm which is quite late, but we knew and wanted to go and explore anyway. It's so close to New quay and other places, we had a wonderful time driving round stopping off. The weather was so kind to us as well, never eaten so much over a few days.The food was really good, breakfast was a good choice and cooked well. We decided to have dinner on our second night and it was amazing, just mentioning the mains.. Steak was cooked to perfection, the Turkey, Ham and Leek pie was so tasty with the chunkiest meat. They both were big portions and wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. Saying that we really want to come again even if the weather is terrible because it's such a nice place to be and close to everything. Hopefully see you again soon :)

My partner, two children and I decided to have a spontaneous weekend away to visit family in the area and came across the Llanina Arms. We stayed in the family adjoining rooms which were completely spotless, super comfortable beds and linens in lovely, large rooms. Breakfast was filling, good, honest food - perfect for a day of exploring. Really enjoyed our stay at a very reasonable price!

Visited after a friend recommended it, and we were not disappointed. Had lunch on the hottest day of the year, 2 of us and our dog. The dog was welcomed in the bar area, which nice and cool compared to outside. We both had burgers from the lunch menu, and they were presented really well, good size portions, and the chips were seasoned well. The bar staff were really helpful about the local area. The hotel doesn't look great outside, but you are missing a treat if you don't go in

Whilst on holiday in a lodge literally down the road from here we had evening meals here 4 nights . The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Food is excellent and the portions are generous we could only manage a mains each. We had the steak and ale pie and the turkey ham and leek both of which are delicious and full of meat . Homemade lasagne is the best I've had and the Llanina burger is out of this world. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning when we are on holiday here again.

Just returned from a superb evening meal. The welcome on coming through the door from the pleasant staff was really engaging. They guys worked hard and really looked after us. We skipped starters and went straight to mains. A selection from burgers to curry and kids pizza were selected. The member of staff who took our order really sold the menu. The service was quick and the quality of all the meals was spot on. The portion size was enough for the hungriest diner. Skipping starter meant room for dessert.. just. Limited but excellent selection all wolfed down with enthusiasm. The kids chocolate challenge was a great idea and made a change to standard icecream on a kids menu.

Called in on our way back from a weekend in Pembrokeshire. Lovely welcome from the barmaid and the young waitresses were polite and eager to look after us. Food was delicious good portions excellent selection of vegetables nicely presented. The pudding was beautiful I had a lemon cheesecake and hubby a triple chocolate brownie. Big portions and homemade. Good choice on the menu of meats and puddings. Will be back soon thank you.

Went here twice during our stay at a nearby cottage and both times the food and service was all rather nice. Pleasant staff, nice interior (which looks better than the photos) and although we had to wait a bit for our food, it was worth it, as all was cooked fresh and very tasty indeed.

Sunday lunch here is excellent. Good choice and good portions. Everything cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Well done!!

We stayed in a b&b; down the road and came here for a meal a few times in the evening. Lovely, home cooked food and plenty of it, reasonably priced too. Great value kids meals. Not too long to wait and staff really friendly and helpful.

There is only one word for the lady who I asume owns this pub....RUDE. My patner and I visited hoping for a lovely meal. We were told it would be about an hour wait to which we replied no problem. My partner then went to sit down and I waited to order some drinks. After the owner finished serving the gentleman in front of me, she then decided to talk to the lady that had come up behind me about a baby (in welsh thinking I couldnt understand her), totally ignoring me. I waited for a few more minutes but with no sign of her taking the slightest interest in me, my parnter and I left and went to a pub who actually wanted our custom.

We had friends staying at a nearby caravan park we stayed here for the weekend. It was everything that we wanted. The room was great, very comfortable and well equipped and with keys to the room and a separate front door we could come and go as we wanted.

A great place to go for a meal great food and a great pint the staff are very friendly and the landlord is very helpful will definitely go back 👍🏻

We called on our way back from the beach for an early dinner, we had garlic mushrooms starter and beer battered fish and home made chips. It was all very tasty. We sat outside in the sun with our dog and watched the red kytes above. We were made very welcome by the staff. Thank you.

was directed to the Llanina arms by our landlord of the b&b; we were staying and wasn't disappointed Was welcomed by lovely staff and the landlord was very pleasant. enjoyed a great pint of Butty Bach (or 2)

Attended an event here and can not fault the food we had dinner option of beef or turkey I personally had the turkey and could not fault it. The meal was hot and a good choice of veg to go with the meal. Bar staff or really use to large groups so was a little slow at times. That said all staff polite. I would recommend, smaller groups of 50 may work well 100+ may be a struggle.
