Little Wing Pizzeria in North Down

Visited Monday evening. Had the 2 course special offer - great value at £16.50 for a starter, main & drink (soft, beer or wine). We had the minestrone soup and Caesar salad for starters, followed by our choice of pizzas, both vegetarian. We finished off with the small dessert cup & coffee at £4. Good service and atmosphere. Plenty of room.

My 2 friends and I visit on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time. The food, drinks and service were all fabulous. They had a special offer on 2 courses and a drink and our server went of their way to help us avail of the deal. We were also delighted that they cater for special diets (gluten free and vegan). Really looking forward to our next visit

It took my friends and i 30 minutes to be seated to a table, the wait for a table is always long. Although the food is delicious and the food service is quick. This place is tasty and nice for a bite to eat.

Took my grandson and son yesterday and enjoyed the meal. Some of the service was good but in the end we had to ask for my grandson’s hot chocolate. When I paid the bill which was £41.70 I gave her £45 and she never gave me my change. I was too embarrassed to ask for it. Definitely won’t be going back.

Arrived with a 30 min wait for table no problem Manager was great then she left. One hour later table ready. Starters arrived within 10 mins Two hours later from entering restaurant asked progress on mains. Told hadn’t been made yet. Was obvious that walk in orders for takeaway getting preference that evening. Had to ask for them to be boxed as we had two under 2’s kids with us and getting too tired. The staff not bothered and obvious lack of management or leadership. Girl behind with short white hair and tattoo starting arguing with us that we were told ul to 45 mins for a table and banged the boxes of food together and was obviously upset at our complaint. bill was £170 for starters drinks and three skinny pizzas to share between 6 adults and one baby pizza. Please note. Been a regular to little wing ballyhackamore since his opened and love it. New one Ormeau Rd fabulous. Not sure why Holywood is consistently poor. The kids play zone allows people to stay too long this backlog tables waiting. Set limit. Manage the orders on takeaway and priority the service. So disappointed in branch this as it lets the little wing brand down and doesn’t deserve local people’s money. Attitude change and proper management needed asap please.

Not a great experience, busy lunchtime restaurant but badly understaffed. Waited over 40 minutes for two small pizzas - unfortunately we had to leave before any food arrived. Little wing / long wait !!!!!

Second time dining at Little Wing. First time was for lunch. Both visits were very positive. Welcomed by friendly attentive staff and after a short wait were seated at our table. I had a pizza which was delicious! My husband chose the minestrone soup and bruschetta with goats cheese which were also scrumptious. The house wine was also great. Desserts of raspberry and almond tart with gelato ice cream and chocolate and strawberry ice cream cone were also delicious. Overall we had a lovely experience and can’t wait to return when we are next in Holywood!

Absolutely awful. Had to wait 25 minutes for a very small pizza and when it came, it hadn't been cooked properly and the toppings where sparse and poorly presented. A really awful expensive experience.

The topping was rather sparse. Came away feeling underwhelmed. It's difficult to rate the quality of the topping there just wasn't enough of it, the very thin base, though standard fayre, was in fact the dominating flavour. Never experienced that before.

Just been today for a small pizza and salad. We has to wait 50 mins for our order to arrive. When I went to find out the delay they told me they had a big order to get out. So before you order here I suggest you ask if there will be a delay. Had I known this I would have left immediately. Not acceptable to wait this length of time at a lunchtime.

We visited with my sister who has advanced dementia and can't fault a thing. The staff were attentive and patient. We had starters, mains and a few of us had desserts. The tuscan pizza and the nutella pizza were both amazing. Would highly recommend

Last visited LAST year post lockdown when it impressed. Warm and friendly welcome. Attentive service and good pizza with fresh ingredients, balanced flavours and from oven to table hot. What the hell has happened to this place in 2022 ?Somethings... In fact almost everything has gone badly wrong. It's under staffed and the male dominated twenty somethings staff did not conceal their collective wish to be anywhere but in LWP. Rather than a welcome they really would have preferred we did not wait for a table. The priority here is now Take-aways not tables.When we did wait we were lied to about the booths being too small for our party so could someone behind us get the booth... Sounded reasonable and we agreed until we were later seated in the very same booth. Not the Appetizer any self respecting waiter would want to serve. Service was crass and consumately inattentive. No damn was given by this motley crew of clueless staff. No food was put on a table for more than 35 minutes. Any table. We waited from 1820 until 1955 hrs before a single bite of food was put on our table. It was Luke warm The vegan pizza was like salty cardboard. Zero flavour. It takes a special genius to rob a pizza of flavour if the ingredients are Fresh but a rare talent to make stale ingredients infuse flavour. The lasagne was nuked, dry sticky, and a struggle to consume even when one was famished after a 90 minute wait. The children's hot chocolates were bizarrely served in espresso cups. Why? It was not an espresso. The garlic bread lacked any garlic flavour. The chefs clearly had no clue or self respect. The cheesy bread was black burnt. It should have been binned not plated. The atmosphere in the placed was muted and cold. No vibe no energy no charisma. Suddenly school dinners in the 1970s seemed appetising and fulfilling. There was nothing good about this experience. LWP is a stain on the restaurant Scene in Holywood. Avoid at all costs. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. DISGUSTING.

This is a great place for dinner and a few drinks that go with pizza. The pizza here was great and tasted really fresh. Once you add the oils, chilli flakes and other seasonings it even makes it better. The chocolate and caramel brownie would be the recommendation for dessert, but you should ask them to heat it up explicitly as it comes with an ice-cream. Great service as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant 👍🏻

Local joint with good pizza selection and friendly staff Touring Ireland and staying in Holywood while in the Belfast area. Wanted a quick and easy local family meal. Great selection of pizzas for one or a whole family. There are a couple of salad and anti pasta choices to get started and ice creams to finish off your meal. The standard pizzas have thin crispy crusts but the skinny pizza is even thinner and crispier - which surprised us how mu we enjoyed it. Staff was quick to serve us and regularly checked back on us. Clearly a good crowd of locals which was not surprising as nearly everyone we talked to recommended we eat here.

Visited for lunch today with my 6 year old..... Was very busy as St Patricks Day... Such a positive & enjoyable experience.. The blonde lady who meeting & greeting was very professional & efficient.... Very engaging with my 6 year old. Given colouring in to do while we wait & lots of interaction with him & myself. Service and food perfect.... Fab coffee to finish also! Couldn't fault it.... Staff all very helpful though have to give special mention to lady in charge.... Running a very smooth operation! Unfortunately due to rain didn't get to use outdoor play area but it looks amazing. Thanks for such a lovely lunch all round!

Little Wing in Holywood is a good venue to take the family nice staff very helpful, good choices and portions cooked to order not overly priced . I think it better than the Bangor Little Wing.

When searching for the best pizza in the Belfast region online, the little wing chain came up highly in search results. We needed a quick early dinner before a flight home from the city airport and this place was ideally located, only 5 minutes away....

When my three grandchildren aged 3,5,7 chose Little Wings for tea my heart fell as pizza in not my ‘go to’ food choice by a long way!!However from start to finish this was an experience to be recommended. Firstly the staff - they were excellent and were extremely good to offer choices and information on food for one child with dairy intolerance - including pizza with no cheese!!The food itself was served quickly and the pepperoni pizza my wife and I shared was very ‘more-ish’. We nibbled leftover children’s choices and these too were excellent. The outdoor secure play area allowed us the rare respite to have a coffee. Just faultless in every way!

If people think these pizzas are the best in N/ Ireland, then they musnt of tasted good pizza elsewhere! Pizzas are below average. Cold and Crust tasted stale. We left most of ours. Overpriced and service was dismal. Rude and unprofessional. I don't normally rave about chain restaurants, but pizza express is definitely better than this.

Back to one of my favourite restaurants Lil Wings. Love the ambiance, the building and the sunshine. Food wasnt half bad either. They now boast a vegan menu. Im a vegetarian myself but have got to say well impressed. As always great service. Though they need to change the background music 'the blues' playing.

We attempted to eat her on Tuesday night but because it was busy weren’t able to get a table because we hadn’t booked. I called in today to book a table but was told that you can’t book a table on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays but to ring up if we were intending to come in tonight. I rang at 5.15pm and was told they weren’t too busy and we probably would get a table. We arrived at the restaurant and it was reasonably quiet and asked if we could have one of the booths but were told it was company policy that only three people could sit in these. I pointed out that the place was quiet but was firmly told it was company policy so we were shown to a small table in the corner. The manageress came to take our order and I mentioned that this was our third attempt to eat at this place this week and there were empty booths and she reiterated Company Policy and in a less than customer friendly way said she had been there all day and didn’t remember me coming in to try to book! We had ordered a drink and decided we would have a quick pizza and leave. A couple who came in after us and sat at the next small table had some difficulty and inflexibility with what they wanted to order and quickly got up and left. When we finished our food and we’re leaving, the place was still less than busy and the three booths were still unoccupied. Disappointed that Company Policy trumps customer service and is more important than customer satisfaction. Won’t return

Just enjoyed yet another feast with some friends in Little Wing Holywood. The staff were absolutely brilliant as usual but on the back of some of their blouses I read for the first time “ you have a friend in cheeses.” This is a parody on a friend in Jesus and as such is offensive to Christians many of whom I know visit Little Wing. I would just say that the Lord Jesus is my Saviour and means everything to me and so many others and I would love you consider this in future. Otherwise keep up the good work and we will be back. As a family of 4 we really enjoy going to Little Wing in Holywood. The reason for coming back so often is that the food is always good, they have an excellent adult/ children meal deal and it is very child friendly with colouring in and the play area out the back.

Every year we get about 6 x 24” pizzas ordered from here for our very hungry Brownie Guides on pack holiday and we have never been disappointed! Always ready on time for us to pick up. The chef today was so nice, even down to cutting the slices smaller than usual for the kids.

5 of us called for lunch around 1pm..after taking our order and being given drinks we waited..and waited..

Been here three times. Each time it's about 30 minutes from order to pizza. Last time was the worst. They managed to drop the pizza and had to remake, so we had to wait almost 50 minutes for a tasteless pizza. They gave us some garlic doughballs to keep us going while we waited for our remade pizza. Service atrocious! 1 hour waiting on main. Watched as waitress who took order asked manager where it was - at least 3 times. Manager ignored her and us. The manager delivered a child’s pizza to the 3-year old with us and attempted to explain what had gone wrong. Slight delay my rear end. Till rolls my rear end.

Little Wing Holywood is going downhill badly. Firstly on arrival we were told there was going to be a 30 minute wait for a table which is understandable at 6pm on a Saturday. We were happy enough to wait.

Heavy perfumed odour as we arrived, not Italian, not Italian food....so why? Apart from that the restaurant was well decorated, furnishings appeared to be clean and were comfortable.

Order of pizza (11inch) and garlic bread No topping on thin pizza base other than the basic tomato sauce and a thin layer of cheese Ingredients probably cost 40pence but the pizza was underwelling in terms of taste and quantity. Side with pizza was a salad!! On a cold November evening, "they do not do french fries/ chips!" So total bill pizza, tasteless garlic bread and 2 coffees £12.95 So went home still looking for something to eat. Staff very nice and helpful

We went on a quiet Tuesday lunchtime. There was only one chef on who was working his socks off. It took at least 45minutes for our pizza to arrive. The manageress muttered a sour faced apology.

Went on a busy Friday, but it was UNBELIVABLY SLOW.. We sat in the waiting area, but no-one came and asked if we wanted a drink (better still they should think to start doing some chicchetti if it's this slow - and it's not the first time..).. Anyway sat there for about 15 mins., then got a table, but it took another 50 mins to get the ONE 24" pizza! Another family who actually sat down BEFORE us were still waiting after we had been served. And they only ordered small pizzas.. The kitchen seemed busy, but it doesn't take more than 10 mins to make ONE pizza, never mind that they are making multiple pizza simultaneously. So how it took over an hour is beyond me. I've gone off going now.. The Margherita wasn't good. Dry and lacking cheese. The other half of the pizza was good however.. (As a side note, the normal pizzas are like 10" or 11", and are far too small - best to order a 24" with 50/50 toppings).

Great for family or ur own fast service helpfull staff and fast plus a play park out the back for the kids.

We took two tables over lunch, one for adults/children and the other for teenagers, and again found Little Wing to be a winner.

This restaurant is brilliant for a family meal, the outside play area is a blessing as parents can sit and chat to each other while the kids go and play when waiting for food. If you book the table at the rear of the restaurant by the window, you can sit and watch the monsters at play. The food is fantastic but for us the kids menu was superb and the children loved the mini hot chocolate drinks at the end.

As a sunday night, me and my fiancé went for a ride in rainy Holywood and made a stop in Little wings. This was the first time visit for us and I have to say it was nice to come around. we shared pepperoni pizza with salad + coke for 12.95£ , reasonable prices. 24" pizza is for 20£ also looked tasty and huge for sharing with friends/ family. would recommend and also would come back anytime

Restaurant way too hot and waited quite a while for a seat when it wasn't full. Service was fine and food was great.

Holywood is a great location for people flying out of BHD, as my family were doing on Sunday. It's a good place to take children very relaxed. The weather was good so they could play outside whilst the adults enjoyed coffees and beers. We ordered pizza and salads (one of our crew was Italian) and the feedback on the pizza was good.Relaxed easy going place - no fuss.

I visited Little Wing in Holywood for the first time yesterday, despite having walked passed it many times. My wife and I ordered the lunch deal -six inch pizza, Caesar salad, plus some soup. We were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant decor was very good, toilets were clean and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The meal took a little while to come, but it was pleasant just to sit and talk while we waited. When the meal did come it was excellent- lots of colours on the plate and the taste of the food was superb- despite not really being a pizza fan. I recommend highly and will certainly visit again.

Little Wing Pizzeria is a gorgeous family friendly option in downtown Bangor! Our group of ten was seated immediately, and the service was fast and friendly. Kids menu was exceptional and was the food, wine, and espresso. Well worth the drive from Belfast for some pizza and to see Bangor.

Poor service. Left on own somewhat.They advise 20-30 minutes for the large pizza but they were double that and the restaurant was not busy. Not great

Went for a family dinner with 3 kids and had really tasty pizza, with thin crusts. The big pizzas are Really big (for 4 people) and great to try. The lasagne was not up to the standard of the pizzas, but not bad. And service was friendly and there was a small play area at the back for kids.

We went for an early lunch on a Saturday. Not very busy and kids loved the outdoor play area but service was very very slow. We felt like an inconvenience to the staff. Very difficult to get their attention (in an empty restaurant!). We had to ask for the bill several times which was eventually slapped down by a member of staff who was on the phone. Gave up waiting for them to take our card so had to queue while we all waited for the same member of staff to finish a very long phone call. It's a great little restaurant in belfast - the service is first rate. Shame they haven't been able to replicate it in holywood.

Arrived 645 pm Saturday. Busy but no surprise there. Massive demand for takeaway pizzas. We were advised there would be a long wait. Staff seemed under pressure. While waiting for 25 minutes, no offer made for drinks. Eventually got a table, and starter arrived ok. Huge wait for main course. One of the managers did promise us a discount, as she was embarrassed by the wait. Dessert order didn't appear, so had to prompt a disinterested waitress. Food quality was good, but delays and service turned it into a below average evening. I'm not sure the "no reservation" model is attractive to customers especially at peak times, when the takeaway demand clearly affects the dine-in experience.

A disappointing first visit to the Holywood restaurant, although it didn't seem overly busy, there was an air of stress and pressure amongst the staff. Although the staff were amiable, we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for pizza by which time we were sitting with empty glasses. The pizzas were as good as any other Little Wing pizza I've had, however the long wait and air of staff under pressure meant that it wasn't a particularly pleasant evening, which put us under time pressure to eat quickly and get away.

Had an appointment in Hollywood, and needed something lite to eat, when we came accross this place on the Main Street.My wife and I ordered a pizza each, which proved to be very good, and cooked just the way I like a pizza to be--thin and crispy.Friendly attentive staff.

Lovely pizza and the kids can play out in the garden when the weather is good. On the downside service can be really slow, even when they're not that busy. Still worth it though.

This restaurant is so clever, nice open layout, you can watch the pizzas being made, there is an enclosed outdoor play area for the kids so you can supervise from inside and there are numerous booths so that you can have a bit of privacy if you need it. We have started a regular Thursday club in here where a few of us bring our children after school, grab the fab kids meal deal, let them run themselves to bits outside whilst we sit and have coffee and catchup inside - perfect. The kids love it and the mummies love it too, just great. We always leave here with full tummy's and happy children, tick VG.

We recently visited Little Wing in Holywood for lunch with our two children. The staff were very friendly and we couldn't fault the service we received. The food was excellent! Great kid's menu, authentic pizzas, lovely salads and yummy desserts! A great dining experience all round.

My wife and I recently visited Little Wing and had a lovely time. Very friendly staff as usual and great atmosphere! We opted for the "Little Wing, Little Bill" option which I highly recommend as not only is it delicious, it's great value for money.This restaurant caters for all and is great for a "date night" but also perfect for families and kids. We visit often with our family and everyone loves it! Will definitely be returning again soon.

I recently visited Little Wing with my husband and family and we had a fantastic experience, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the whole atmosphere was lovely. I love the kids play area and it came across as a very family friendly restaurant. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be returning soon. My new favourite place to eat!

The restaurant is situated in the centre of town and has a pleasant welcoming decor with a good family atmosphere, the pizzas are the best in town and the staff provide a great service. A good place to eat for families of all ages (especially kids who also have a great play area). Because it's so popular it can get very busy at times but the food is worth waiting for.

We have eaten in all the Little Wing restaurants but especially love the Holywood branch as my son loves the outdoor play area and the book corner in the indoor section. The food is always of fantastic quality and the staff are so lovely. We always look forward to going back time and time again.

My family & I absolutely LOVE Little Wing - they always provide fresh & tasty food, in unique surroundings with fab music & excellent staff. The Holywood LW has the added attraction of a fantastic play area at the rear which my 7yr old daughter & her friends really enjoy using. They also get great pleasure out of the "hunt for items" sheet - it's a very clever idea for keeping little ones occupied, one I know that all parents will appreciate! We even had some fun joining in as well! The dough sticks are a huge favourite with kids, as is the after-meal hot chocolate. It is served in a small kid-sized coffee cup which makes them feel like a grown up. The pizzas are amazing, especially with the chilli or garlic oil drizzled over the top. All in all, a fantastic family friendly restaurant with great service! We are all looking forward to our return already!

Not just unbelievably poor service but almost cruel treatment of some children by the manager and staff in Holywood today. My son and his friends belong to an afterschool writing group and they were told this week that as Little Wing in Holywood were sponsors of the group that they would be invited down to the restaurant in Holywood on Saturday morning. My son loves Little Wing so he had been looking forward to this all week, especially as he'd never been to the Holywood branch before. Upon arrival the children went through the paces of posing for various publicity photographs, which no doubt Little Wing will be using to show themselves in a good light. Kids, pizza, giving something to the community. It all looks very nice, doesn't it? Except that after the hot lovely smelling pizza had been set in front of the kids for photographs it was... no, not eaten with great enthusiasm. Instead, unbelievably, the pizza was then snatched away from the children and they were told that was it. They didn't even get so much as one single slice for the trouble of coming down from Belfast to Holywood on a Saturday morning. Perhaps the manager thought that the parents and group helpers who had come down would then buy pizza for the children in a bit of moral blackmail. I wonder what happened to the pizzas which were made to photograph alongside the kids? Were they thrown in the bin afterwards? Were they saved for distribution to the manager and the staff? What I would most like to know though is what sort of person sets warm pizza in front of a group of children who had been looking forward all week long to this treat and then takes it away from them with no explanation? You'd really have to be a special kind of person to do this. No explanation of it being a "misunderstanding" will be sufficient in this case. If that term is used I would like to reply with "What exactly is it that you didn't understand?" Needless to say, It will be the last time my son will be visiting the Holywood branch and I'll be mulling over taking our business away from the entire chain. What happened in the Holywood branch is so off the scale in appalling manners and customer service that I'm almost disbelieving that I'm having to write this. I look forward to whatever explanation the manager can dredge up for this woeful behaviour and if he can nip this story in the bud before it spreads any further on Facebook, Twitter and other media.

Had a great gluten free pizza here - the base tasted freshly made and was an excellent flavour and texture (both sadly missing in many GF pizza restaurants!). The waitress was able to reassure me that all the toppings were GF - which was great and I had a full range of choices of toppings.We ate quite early and as we were finishing the place got really busy so booking is probably advisable. I haven't given this a 5 star rating as my only criticism was that the noise levels were really high!

I am a massive fan of Little Wing and usually visit the Ballyhackamore store but was in Holywood and thought we would try it out. The pizza was pretty much burnt and broke into pieces when I tried to cut it, wasn't warm either. This was after we waiting a very long time to get it! I won't be returning to this store but thankfully Ballyhackamore Little Wing has been much better!

Had a lovely family (4 adults, 2 kids) meal here on a Sunday evening in November. Lovely atmosphere, lots of birthday parties. Very child friendly. The service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The pizzas and desert were lovely. Highly recommended.

Had a birthday lunch for 6. Having experienced a truly excellent Italian restaurant in Portstewart called Amici at the weekend today's experience was awful.

Called in on a Sunday evening for dinner and was told it would be about 15 minutes for a table but we could order beforehand to save some time as we had plans after. That was fine we got ordered and tried to keep our one year old entertained. After waiting over half an hour we queried how long it would be and were told our table was nearly ready. 50 minutes later we decided we didn't have time to stay as we had somewhere else to be. My husband spoke to the same member of staff who greeted us who was very unapologetic. We ate our starters in the waiting area and pizzas were boxed up. When was ate them 10 minutes later they weren't even worth the wait! Suggestion to staff, maybe more realistic with customers about wait times and if you don't know a time, don't make one up! 10% was taken off the bill but it won't be encouraging me to return.

This was my second visit after an initial bad 1st experience shortly after it opened. The restaurant was previously an old bank and has been overhauled in a New York apartment style with white wallls and exposed ceilings & pipes which make it funky and interesting but noisy. There is a massive traditional style pizza oven centred in the dining room around which the prep areas are based and dough making adds to the entertainment value. Staff were courteous and polite but a little hard to catch their eye at times. They do a 24" pizza which is great fun and a talking point for a group and can be tailored into quadrants to suit individual selections. Pizzas are very good. Mixed crowd but given its casual theme, more suited to a mid-week experience versus weekend. Note for families, there is a children's play are in the back garden which can be viewed from the dining room.

The play area out the back is great, the food is good and service quick. We go here all the time and would recommend it highly. Some more starters on the menu would be good, but that's not a criticism

Had a quick lunch with a pal at Little Wing... Very friendly staff, delicious pizza and very good value.

As I currently work away from home each week, staying in a local B&B, I have been to Little Wing in Holywood at least once a week for the past 2 months. So far I am yet to encounter the unbearable noise or terrible service as mentioned in some of the previous reviews. The staff have been very quick to allocate me a seat and even take my drinks order before I have sat down. With regards to the price of the food, if you go for the Little Wing Little Bill deal you can get a starter, main & a large beer for less than £15. Bargain! If you were to go for the larger pizza's then yes it is a little pricey, but no more so than an equivalent pizza from some of the large branded pizza restaurants and the quality of food is much higher.

Food very good and excellent kidscplay area out back but service was very slow. Dont go if you're in a hurry!

My friend and we have taken kids for a pizza. It was clean all around and nice inside. And that's it. They "don't do ketchup", posing to be a "true Italian pizza guys". Yet the pizza is far from Italian. Waitres has pushed to make an order when we were not ready. I did not feel like families were welcome. We'll not be coming back again.

The last few times I've been In the staff take forever to take even your drinks order so I wouldn't recommend it if you where wanting to be quick. The food is alright and the prices are quite expensive.

Reasonably priced lunch offer with small pizza. This was OK but not amazing given that this is its specialism. Beer was expensive. Salad minimal. Service a bit slow but pleasant.

Went there for lunch, have to say really really good. No complaints. I would recommend this place no questions. Will visit again.

Staff need to take a course in customer service they appear to be there under duress especially senior staff they give the appearance you should consider yourself lucky to be allowed to dine there. As for the food overpriced and boring.

Been here twice and both times spoilt by kids screaming. Food was just okay but noise was unbearable.
