We went here for an early dinner and wow, the food was delicious and authentically Italian! We can highly recommend the calamari, the ear shaped pasta with meatballs and chilli, and the tiramisu (homemade by them). The service was very friendly and quick and the backing music and setting made us feel like we were abroad. A lovely meal.

We had a reservation for 8pm tonight. Arrived 15 mins early expecting to be able to get a pre drink. On arrival a couple were just in front of us, they didn’t have a reservation. They asked waiter if they could fit them in, yes of course come in they were told. They were welcomed in. We who had a reservation were then turned away! Such poor customer service. Wouldn’t recommend, especially on a freezing night in Inverness when only 15 mins early, not enough time to go find somewhere for a drink before our actual reservation time 15 mins later! We weren’t even offered to wait inside until our table was ready. Couple without reservation were invited straight in! Fuming & cancelled. Gutted as only here for tonight. V poor.

I went with my friend to little Italy for the first time the food was just amazing! Te texture representation I had a carbonara which was finger licking, it had a little kick to it that I absolutely loved. The staff was amazing I recommend it 100% I worked at Bella italia that served frozen foods which was blunt but visiting little Italy I felt like I was in Italy getting served fresh high standard food

Came across this place after shopping in Inverness and decided to try. It was a great choice. The stone baked pizza was just lovely - crispy, perfectly cooked base, rich, deeply flavoured tomato sauce, white anchovies, lovely deli olives and capers strewn generously and the gentlest, silkiest mozzarella. It’s a small but cozy restaurant. We visited Little Italy on the 23rd of Dec. We just arrived from Isle of Skye of an 11 hour trip and we were starving. We walked straight to Little Italy. Our tour guide recommended us. Pizza and Pasta that we ordered were delicious! Service was good (lady waitress, she was nice) but the as a whole, the atmosphere, I’m not sure about this, it’s not welcoming and friendly.

Food was delish. We had the fungi as a starter and then shared a veg fusilli dish and pizza with olives. Absolutely amazing. The olives, pizza dough and pasta sauce were all 10/10. Also loved the cosy atmosphere inside and lovely wine.

Staff very friendly. Food are amazing and delicious. Everthing we order are amazing and kids enjoyed their pizza.

One of us had the Tofe pasta (a chicken and veggie dish) and the other had Casarecce pasta (a sausage dish). Both meals tasted okay, but both melas were scant on the meat. In other words, way too much pasta and not enough protein. The atmosphere is great and our servers were very pleasant. The tiramisu was also very good. I wish I could rate the food a five star but cheating on the meat is not acceptable.

A beautiful, intimate restaurant where the food is just outstanding. The service was excellent too, I can’t wait to return again.

When I traveled here, I walked into a restaurant with candles on the table. The atmosphere was really suitable for chatting with friends. Ordered steak and a pasta dish. It was delicious and had a great night.

Authentic Italian taste. Fantastic service and tasty food!

I had the Hudson pizza which was very nice. Service friendly n quick. The only negative is its a tight squeeze cramming so many seats in such a small area, walking past the kitchen up a very steep stairs to the loo and you hear all the stress of what's going on as the food is prepared.

Found this little treasure online as we were delayed coming through Inverness airport so thought we'd venture into the city. Proprietor kindly squeezed us in for a booking that we made in the bus from the airport and so glad he did... lots of customers turned away as the place was full; and we could see why. Very friendly staff, amazing food, outstanding service and extremely keenly priced. On our list of places 'we will definitely go back to'

Overpriced compared to other restaurants with better food. We had cramped seating. I was in the way of the staircase to the upstairs kitchen which was unfortunately adjoining the mens toikets!!! I had chicken which was okay but a little dry despite the lovely sauce. House white was the highlight. Italian staff were brusque but the Scottish waitress was lovely (but we didn’t get her!) the revolver above my head was a wired decorating touch! Be aware the car park opposite closes at 7pm.

Great place to eat in Inverness. A little on the cosy side but massive in atmosphere and authenticity. One of the best pizzas I've had and at a price that was cheaper than the more well-known pizza parlours. Very friendly staff, more than willing to offer advice on dishes

Bellow average food. The atmosphere not so good. The decoration of the restaurant was nice if you are a fan of godfather... The kitchen a bit dirty.

My wife and I walked to this one from the B&B we were staying at just up the street. We didn't have a reservation but luckily they had a small table available and seated us right away. (Tip, call ahead for a table). We got our drink orders in rather quickly but it took a while for the waiter to come back and get our dinner order. After quite a wait my salad and all of my wife's dinner arrived but not my pizza. After I got the waiter's attention he went and checked. I don't think he ever placed that part of the order. So about 10 minutes later I had a nice hot pizza. It was the volcano pizza and it was good and spicy. They apologized for the mix up several times. We did order tiaramasu and that was probably the best part of the meal. Over all pretty good.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and took advantage of the Tapa special. No complaints and the prices were reasonable. I enjoyed my cappuccino. Easy going ambiance . It is situated only a block from the main part of town.

I must say that Little Italy never disappoints. This is my second visit and will definitely not be my last. The pizza and pasta cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef.. The staff are trained well to handle customer requests. Well done!!!!

Just back from a lovely weekend in Inverness. Went to Little Italy on Saturday night and back again on Monday. Fantastic food and staff. I would highly recommend a visit.

My wife and I had an excellent meal on Good Friday in this small but friendly, authentically Italian restaurant (not a chain restaurant). Food was great, service was prompt and atmosphere was also fine.

Pedimos 4 tapas para compartir, la primera fue antipasto mezclado se reúne a 7.95 libras tuvimos un pequeño finos cada una de varias carnes en unos pocos hojas y la mitad de un tomate cherry. Por el precio no debería haber sido el doble de la cantidad de carne y una ensalada.

Fuimos a cenar temprano por la noche un sábado por la noche en la recomendación de un amigo de Inverness. Restaurante estaba muy lleno, lo que es normalmente una buena señal, afortunadamente, me las arreglé para poder acomodarnos. El servicio era excelente, la comida muy sabrosa y la Prosecco fuimos muy bien así! Buen ambiente ajetreado si quieres que si no hay una arriba más tranquila más tradicional del restaurante. Pruébalo, no te disapponted.

Wandered in off the street without a booking on a Friday evening with my wife and daughter and were quickly found a table in an already busy restaurant. Very pleasant speedy service and the quality of the dishes was superb. We shared a garlic bread starter and enjoyed the sea food spaghetti , penne past with broccoli and gorgonzola cheese main courses and my teenage daughter had a pizza. Quick service and very reasonable price - we will be back !!

I enjoyed every morsel I ate in this cosy restaurant on a long weekend in Inverness. Some of the tastiest food I have ever had. Hot smoked salmon pasta was just a joy! The staff were very welcoming and efficient. A busy little place full to the rafters and not a glum face to be seen. Worth a return visit.

Had been last year and booked again while on holiday. Didn't feel welcome due to all the staff drinking at the bar and again like last time felt in the way.Food was average. Very strange combinations of Italian foods. Cannelloni with blue cheese and jalapeños???? We had 3 tapas each and some garlic bread and I was still hungry when I left.Would not come back. Overpriced at around £8 for a small tapas portion.

My boyfriend and I visited here for his birthday last year and we were pleasantly surprised! We were taken upstairs which is already cramped, but there was a table of about 15/20 women who were obviously on a hen night, they were so loud that it kind of ruined our evening. But the food definitely made up for it! We both had about 4 tapas dishes each and we tried a bit of everything. I remember the pork with a mustard sauce - AMAZING. Also the squid (or octopus?) little pasta things and they were delicious too. For dessert we both had gelato which was moreish! Overall we had a really good meal which made up for the cramped/noisiness. Maaaybe a little overpriced for what you get, but I guess it's because it's tapas.

Whenever I and my family are in Inverness, we always head to this place. Fab for lunch, nice and quiet, Staff are un intrusive, and the food is tasty.

Decided to dine at Little Italy Prosecco and Tapas Bar for my birthday as loved their tapas, however on arrival we were given the "new" menu which no longer offered tapas dishes. This was a massive disappointment. The "new" menu offered the usual selection of Italian dishes and what we had (calzone & pizza) was fine but offered nothing different to the chain restaurants. I should've gone to Pizza Express and taken advantage of the free bottle of Prosecco voucher they sent for my birthday! Probably won't be back.

Me, my Managing Director and boss went out for a meal last night. Excellent food, fast service and a lovely atmosphere. Will definateley be going back.The meatballs were beautiful and for mains I had chicken/steak with mozzarella which was brilliant.Price wasn't too bad either.

I dinned at the Prosecco bar with friends when it first opened, and thought to return. Worst decision ever. We were greeted with a grunt and shown to our window table, we then watched our server walk out the door and have a cigarette right outside the window and chat to fellow colleagues, no offer of drinks or menus given. We waited 15 minuets for a server to come over to see us. While we waited for our food, a server took starters to our table, but it wasn't our food, it was for the table next to us, she rushed back and picked them up, then gave them to the correct table with out even apologising! We then watched our starter courses go to the table next to us!! What a mess, very poorly trained staff especially for a quiet night with 5 tables on the go! The same thing happened with our mains, we received to many dishes and the server cam back to take them away to another table. Imagine if we had touched the dishes! Still, once again no apology. We quickly left after that! The restaurant was overall dirty with dead flies covering the window sills and tonnes of food debris in-between the table joins - Very off-putting, we wont be back!

This was an outstanding experience. Some 20 of us gathered to celebrate an 18th birthday and the ambience, service, food etc was just superb. Everyone came away raving about it. We selected widely from the menu and the quality of the food was appreciated by all. The service was first class too with our 18 year old birthday girl being treated in a very special way. High accolades for all the staff - chefs, waiters - are well deserved.

25 of us girls came here on Saturday night 30th August for a great night out. Food was delicious, service was excellent and entertainment was even better. We were able to dance the night away. Carlos the owner and his staff really made our night special. Thank you. This is the third time I have been here and never been disappointed with the food or service.

We arrived one quiet evening and were taken to a seat upstairs. I love the decor but its very feminine and cramped so won't be everyone's cup of tea.There was only another table occupied with two young girls who'd obviously been in for quite some time trying every cocktail they make. We actually felt like we were intruding and interrupting the flirting between the 2 girls and 2 members of staff. A manager from downstairs came up at one point and was witness to this so was very disappointed that it was left to continue. At one point I actually heard myself say 'sorry to interrupt you' as the waiter was sitting at the girls table.However.....The good was great. Loved the tapas dishes. Lots of great seafood and I loved the chips with garlic mayo, could happily sit in there eating them all night long. We had a couple of cocktails to start with then moved onto prosecco, I'm not a fan of wine but advised the waiter of this and he brought a lovely sweet one.I would go back if in the area as the food was great.

We've lived and dined in Inverness for over 25 years and the choice and quality available across the area has improved year on year for all that time and has never been better. But there are a lot of touristy-oriented places and a lot of places still heating up frozen meals supplied by big catering suppliers.We've been back to Little Italy four times in the past two months. They've all been good visits - last night's was extra fun. Being locals its refreshing to be taken away to Italy, with Italian owners and staff serving excellent Italian food - we just share 4 - 6 dishes each time and it seems great value to be stuffed full of good food for 30-40 quid - you'd end up spending more than that at one of the chain restaurants for stuff you could just buy in Tesco's frozen food department. The dishes do indeed come as they're prepared so may be a few minutes apart but you just tuck in to the first few and it feels like Christmas as more arrive and then you realise you're ordered too much and start to feel over full and know it';s time to stop.It's quite a cramped, busy restaurant with excellent friendly staff which again adds to the atmosphere. Last night we ordered a bottle of prosecco and ended up on the Grappa dancing in the bar (at the invitation of the owner! - well, I think that's who he was) and outside with a few other diners who had stayed for a night cap and we felt like we were on a holiday in the Med, not in Inverness and back to work next morning. That's quite an achievement.

I went here with business colleagues recently for a quick taps lunch. Service was prompt and very friendly with the staff attentive yet discrete. Food came quickly and was beautifully served. We all had a mixture of tapas dishes, all of which had great flavours.I would recommend the small upstairs dining area as it is quieter and has a bit more space.Looking forward to my next visit.

We had a table for 7 and, although a little cramped, we had a fantastic night out. The food was varied and extremely tasty, portion sizes generous, and the staff were efficient and courteous. Will definitely go again, it's much better than the Spanish tapas restaurant nearby.

We happened to wander in one Saturday night and after a few hours forgot we were actually in Inverness! busy, vibrant and fun we promised ourselves we'd visit again and we did. The next day! we have since visited regularly and must have worked our way through the whole menu. Everything served is fresh and made from the finest ingredients. The Prosecco is rather too good (and I assure you we have tried quite a few types) and we have on occasion found ourselves having to remortgage the house because we've got carried away but always worth it! Staff always friendly and interested in what you are up to. Having written this I've now decided we're going back......tonight.

This is nothing more than an upgraded cafe. Ordered various items which did not arrive at same time including so called "posh chips", they were anything but posh. Also ordered a sweet to share but only had one spoon. It was just dumped on table with no attention to any cutlery we might need. Service very, very poor. Bottle of Prosecco was also overpriced for what it was. Will not be rushing back!!!! We have tried this place before because we like to support local restaurants etc. but sorry, this place lets itself down!!!!!

Me and Herself made a spur-of-the-moment decision to do the Ladies Who Lunch thing and opted for the Italian tapas. We've had dinner there before so knew we'd be satisfied. This was even better! Three tapas dishes each for £13.99 per person. Really tasty and imaginative menu. Try the filet steak with mozzarella. Wow! The chicken dish was really tasty too and the mussels and sardines were perfectly flavoured and presented. The staff were warm and cheery without being in your face and the atmosphere was relaxed but efficient. We didn't hanker after Prosecco because there was draught Peroni on offer but I'm sure if we'd wanted some, it would have been supplied. Thank goodness Inverness is attracting some competitive and interesting food experiences. And, at last, some convincing tapas.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was reasonably quiet. Service and food were both excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Thought we would give this place a try after hearing it had a prosecco bar. What a joke as for a prosecco bar it had a bar with five seats and no sign of prosecco. On arrival we were not made to feel welcome and the waiter had very little English. There was no atmosphere whatsoever. Food was look warm and pretty tasteless. Would never visit here again.

We've eaten at the sister restaurant a few times so thought we'd give this on a try. Well worth it and would now probably eat here rather than Little Italy! Good and varied tapas menu and reasonably priced.Pleasant and quick service and the food was great.Definitely worth a repeat visit

Visited this place with my girlfriends on Friday 2-5-14 and it was brilliant. Was unsure of what to expect as never had tapas before but was not dissapointed. We all had a very good meal with no complaints.The mojitos were the best I have tasted since I was on a cruise 4 years ago and I have certainly tried a few in my time, but definitely will be going back for some more. Only downside we were upstairs...............nothing bad really just didn't get to see the good looking waiters behind the bar!!

An excellent restaurant, lovely atmosphere, delicious fresh food, lots of options to choose from and the tapas dishes were a generous size. We ordered 3 dishes each and it was plenty. The dessert menu was just too tempting to resist, between 6 of us, we tried 4 if the desserts and all were reportedly lovely. A lovely restaurant, I've already started to arrange my next meal there!

I have eaten here 3 or 4 times since it's opened and I can honestly say it's the best food I have ever eaten. The waiting staff are friendly and polite there is also a great atmosphere.The restaurant had a lot to live up to after being such big fans of the original one next door but they have hit the nail on the head. Just what Inverness needed.

Have visited numerous times and are working our way through the menu and loving every minute of it. We order 4 tapas and a bread to scoop up the delicious sauces between the two of us for lunch and its perfect! Always busy and great atmosphere. The proseccos are delicious too. Sort of place to sit in for hours and nibble and enjoy friends and family! We love this place.

I started visiting Little Italy in January. Since then me and my friend have visited this quirky restaurant at least once a week to enjoy their fabulous food and relaxed atmosphere. The staff in Little Italy have definitely made the tapas and prosecco bar blossom as they are efficient, friendly, and extremely welcoming. I have tried most of the dishes on the menu and I don't have a bad word to say about any of them, and of course the prosecco goes down a treat too. Well done guys !

Linked to the Little Italy Restaurant on the same road this bar serves tapas size Italian dishes & makes a marvellous lunch stop. The pizette (small pizza) were great, really thin crispy crust and lovely toppings, the beef olive style tapas was excellent & the prosecco was good too! We are regular visitors to their first restaurant and have always been very happy with the cuisine there, A visit to the tapas and prosecco bar for the first time was excellent. Having had a visit to Barcelona last year we knew what we liked to order and the quality was first class. The staff very attentive and all in all one of the best meals for a while. We will be back, good luck and well worth a visit, remember it is a Tapas bar!!!!!

This is our second visit to the prosecco bar ! Fabulous food and prosecco, great choice of tapas and good sized portions. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the service quick and efficient, allowing you time to enjoy your food. The only complaint we had was our table which was situated at the door ! We went on a Friday night, our table had been booked for a few days, the restruant was extremely busy, we lost count of the number of people who came in and out each time the door opened and closed there was a draught!!! It may be nice to sit there in the warmer months but certainly not in cooler months. It will not put us off going again but I would request another table.

Came with friends, very quaint little restaurant, drinks order taken quickly...we ordered a lot of tapas but asked for suggestions from the waiter on each option..recommendations he gave were delicious. It shows that the waiter knew his menu! We did have a chicken and pesto pizza missing, but we got that rectified very quickly, it was kind of saving the best to last! No doubt everyones favourite so we ordered another!! It was a busy Saturday night, we were seated downstairs, on going to the bathroom upstairs I noticed it was pretty packed and noisy. Quite glad we got downstairs, a lot quieter and we got to mingle with the staff more which made it a bit more personal, so maybe a tip if you are booking to try and get seated downstair.

The place is small and incredibly noisy, the staff struggle at english and not much cross over. They have lost the personal touch with the orders (as they use a till to place orders with the kitchen) and don't cater for personal diets.

A great addition to the city's culinary establishments. A friendly welcome and attentive service was experienced throughout our fantastic lunch.The tapas is extraordinarily tasty and the portion size very good too. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced for what is served. I am very confident it would not matter what you chose to have here it would all be prepared fresh and would send your taste buds into a frenzy of delight!

Went to the restaurant for the first time last night. Never tried Tapas before. The food was totally and utterly amazing. Loved each and everyone of the dishes presented to us. Can't fault it!

Don't bother trying to book by phone. Spanish staff who speak poor English. Rude and unhelpful. There are other restaurants in town.

Dropped in without a reservation earlier today after trying the other Little Italy a week or so ago. The restaurant is small but cosy, with a fairly authentic Italian feel. The menu is somewhat limited but I felt fairly capable of ordering from the Meat/Seafood/Vegetable options. Ordered the salmon tapas and the meatball tapas. Both arrived very quickly and an empty plate was offered. The tomato sauce with the meatballs was excellent and the mixture of nuts and gorgonzola wrapped in salmon was fantastic. Special mention must be made of the chorizo in red wine sauce my friend had- easily the best chorizo I have ever eaten.Well recommended, 4 tapas plates and two beers for just over £20. Excellent value.

Beautifully presented restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent wine list. We ordered a large selection of tapas and all the dishes were amazing. I would recommend this restaurant and will be back very soon.

We popped in here on a miserable Sunday afternoon after some shopping with some friends. We've already visited Little Italy so this new venture has a lot to live up to. What a great place! Downstairs was full (at 2.30pm) so we were put upstairs in a lovely lounge. It is a small restaurant but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character. Gorgeous decoration - I love the multi coloured chairs - and extremely friendly staff. Our waitress was always nearby to help but never overwhelming. We had about 3 tapas each and shared them between all 4 of us, which was perfect. A great selection of veggie, meat and fish - you can't really go wrong! I was delighted to see the Little Italy speciality meatballs there too.. you have to try them :-) It came to just over £60 for all of us, including a couple of glasses of wine. We never tried the desserts as by then we were already full but there seems to be a decent selection. All in all, a great addition to the Little Italy family. The original restaurant (just 2 doors away) is great for a romantic meal but the tapas and prosecco bar is a different experience but equally deserving of the same amount of praise. Beautiful food, lovely surroundings, staff who know their stuff (our Italian waitress was delighted to offer her advice on which bread to choose to match our meal) and all for a great price. Invite your friends and make an evening of it! Just don't tell too many people or getting a table will be a nightmare!

We have visited a number of times and cannot fault the food or service. The food is delicious and perfect for sharing (or not!) and has options for all sorts of tastes. We are working our way through the menu. The meatballs are moreish and the garlic prawns are some of the best i have tasted. My favourite is the fish carpaccio with truffle oil and parmesan, yum! Have sampled a few of the prosecco options and have been really impressed. The service is always very friendly, and we always feel very welcome. We have enjoyed nights here as a couple and with groups of friends. Always leave with a smile and a full stomach. We'll be regulars!

I've been fortunate to live and work in italy for a few years and i can't believe on a recent trip to Inverness i found this little gem. Forget delphine605 review, this place is up there with some of the best restaurants i've dined in. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly, smiling and attentive. The tapas for myself and my wife (vegetarian) were first class as was the prosecco. I understand they've only recently opened but the service was seamless and there was a nice buzz around the place. Intimate but not claustraphobic with the decor quirky but traditional. All in all highly recommended and i can't wait to return to inverness.

We had a lovely evening at little Italy tapas bar, the surroundings are lovely, the staff are very attentive and the food divine, my husband and myself are lovers of Italy and to find a gem like this is lovely, we will definitely return when next on holiday to inverness.
