A bit disappointed, ordered Chilli &Basil Rigatoni it was delicious but the portion which was a main course was really small . Last week I had Salt & Chilli which was also delcious however the chicken portion was large ..I asked for some of ot to be boxed as I couldn't finish it. Seems strange as it appeared to only be pasta ..the sausage may have dissolved onto the sauce but chicken must be more expensive to produce than pasta so why such a small portion ?? They were same price £16.00 I was definitely still hungry. The staff are lovely very attentive and very polite . Food it good quality just a pity about portion size on this occasion .

For the second week in a row we finished our working week with a delicious Friday night meal at Salt Kitchen. Even on a busy day the staff are always friendly, attentive & welcoming. The menu is varied, catering for a selection of tastes and offering many GF alternatives. Over the past couple of weeks we’ve enjoyed a delicious curry, lovely crispy battered fish and a couple of the House Specials. The food has been absolutely delicious on both occasions, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Special mention to Thomas and the front of house team for creating a warm welcoming environment and Chef Gary & Chef Ricky and their team for the first class food. The apple crumble and custard is a must! If you’re shopping at the Boulevard or just visiting Banbridge Area it’s definitely worth a visit.

Overpriced for average food. I got chicken tacos with fries. Tacos had very little dressing and salad/slaw. Far too dry and luke warm at best. Husband had the battered fish and chips. Very small portion for £18. Won't be back.

After a last minute reservation we have just enjoyed a great night at Salt Kitchen and an absolutely delicious Christmas dinner. Thankfully Thomas was able to accommodate us, and despite the restaurant being busy we didn’t have to wait on a table and the prompt attention of the friendly staff. The menu available was varied but we decided to try one of the ‘Christmas Specials’… a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The food arrived promptly, piping hot, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The Turkey & ham was moist and tasty, roasties were crispy, mash was nice & buttery, a great selection of vegetables was cooked to perfection… all topped with gravy and home made cranberry sauce. Christmas dinner can sometimes be a little bland but this was one of the best I’ve tasted in my 50+ years… would definitely recommend it and I’ll hopefully get to visit again before Christmas.

We visited The Salt Kitchen last week as a couple. We ordered the sharing seafood platter with a few side dishes. Well, it was yummy. Great quality, good variety and the wines on offer really complimented the dish. The service was also great. The only downside is the restaurant doesnt have a great atmosphere. Cold and very spacious.

We had a great experience here. One of our party was a coeliac and the staff were very accommodating. They clearly understood what was required to make food safe for a coeliac. They weren't able to do gf chips but there were other options such as sweet potato wedges. They also provided gluten free garlic bread with one of the meals to substitute for naan. The food was really tasty and the service was good.

Terrible service was seating on terrible chairs and tables, falling apart. Had to get up and change my chair with one from across the room. No help or explanation from any staff. Two sets of customers had then entered after us and had been seated served and got food before all while we were sat there feeling awkward and a sense of allocates ignorance aimed at our table on purpose. Absolutely fantastic. Very quick service. Decent prices. Good sized portions. The BEST chicken ceaser salad i think I've ever had!! The sun dried pesto just gave it that *chefs kiss*. Highly recommend.

I came here last week with my family for dinner. The service was amazing and the food was so good! As well as customer service. The young girl who served us our drinks was lovely I didn’t catch her name but she had long black hair in braids. Another young girl with red hair also served us and she was so friendly. We dined in Salt for a family lunch - we didn't make a reservation but they were very helpful and got us a table on the left side of the restaurant beside the window. The greeting was very friendly and drinks were offered straight away and bought in good time. The order was taken and when the food arrived it was presented well and tasted delicious. The serving staff were courteous and attentive. The restaurant is bright and there was a good vibe in it. A lovely meal and we will be back.

Went here for tea last night with 2 friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. One friend said it was the nicest fish she has had in a very long time. Have been here 3 times recently and always delicious with great service. Not exactly cheap but nowhere is nowadays. Please give this place a try you won't regret it.

Popped in for some brunch. Had the breakfast stack which consists of; Avocado, spinach, grilled bacon, poached egg, roasted red pepper, smoked sun-dried tomato pesto, cress for £10. What a mix of ingredients... what a mess. Very confused cacophony of flavors. I wouldn't recommend it. Cup of coffee was nice.

This place has been Salt Kitchen for quite a long time now but before this incarnation it was the Linenhill restaurant. Before it was Linenhill it was originally Deane’s started by the wonderful Michael Deane - a decent chap. So it was a sunny, but breezy, Sunday mid day arrival for us into an almost empty restaurant to be asked if we had a reservation, which we hadn’t as we are impulsive but it didn’t matter. We sat outside bathed in wind and warmish sunlight. My wife opted for a turkey roast dinner with all the trimmings and gravy on the side. She enjoyed her food. The gravy on the side was especially delicious. I was in one of those moods and spotted Mexican style chicken fajitas that I turned to vegetarian. I had thought about the veggie fajita tacos but I got black beans added to my first choice so sold. Mine came with a side and for 25p we upscaled to duck fat roasties with truffle, rosemary aioli and parmesan dust. These tasted great. All my food was ace. Really tasty so vegetarian can be delicious. We finished with cappuccinos and with a Diet Coke the total bill was about £40. The servers were on top form and nothing was too much trouble. They attended to all our needs. One nice touch was them checking that I intended to get duck fat roasties as I’d ordered a vegetarian main. Really worth supporting. Use it or lose it.

Went here wanting a quick morning snack. Sausage baps weren't on the menu but asked if this was possible. After some time we were told these could be provided. The food was ok but not outstanding. Filter coffee was nice but nothing special. Shocked when we were presented with a bill for £19. ( we visited the Safari Grill a few weeks later and had two cooked breakfast and coffees for £14. The quality was just as good, if not better) When we've been telling people about our experience, they can't quite believe their ears but as one person said, overpricing like that doesn't pay in the long run. We won't be returning and people we have told have said at least they know to avoid it

We popped in for a quick bite to eat after returning from the GoT studio tour. We ordered a few starters to share and they were all delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Got 2 fry’s and the potato and soda bread weren’t fryed, which is kind of the point of a fry. When the waitress came to take the plates away with the soda and potato still on the plate she asked if it was ok, she didn’t wait for a reply and said ‘lovely’ and took the plates away, this did make us laugh tbf but £9 for a fry that isn’t fryed isn’t good value.

On arrival the very professional and friendly staff make an instant impression. You are immediately informed of the long list of mouth watering daily specials of which there are many. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxed and throughout your visit the staff are always attentive. Then comes the most enjoyable part, the food arrives. There is a further wide selection to choose from on the menu and having sampled a few different options I can honestly say the food is scrumptious. There is not much room for too many courses as the plate is overflowing with delicious dishes. If going at a busy time it is worth thinking about booking a table. I have noticed an outdoor dining area which in warmer times will be worth trying out.

Much much better than the normal fare expected in such a setting. Set at one end of the Boulevard you could well miss it, but good selection of freshly prepared food, efficient service, with an “order at the counter” system.We had burgers + a superb steak sandwich, all with chips as a side. Expensive enough at £40 for 3 people, no drinks, no extras, but we’d go again.

My husband and I dropped into Linen Hill restaurant yesterday for lunch. I had the Smoked Chicken Risotto and my husband had the Pan Seared Duck Breast, they were Both fabulous! Neither one of us expected such a high standard restaurant quality food. The chicken melted in your mouth with the suitable smoked flavor which complemented the rest of the risotto dish. My husband's duck was cooked to perfection with the most beautiful reduction gravy and roasted vegetables, he was in heaven. This is only the 2nd review I have ever been moved to write but I felt I just had to, the chief really knew what he was doing and the cost was so very reasonable. If you are ever near this restaurant you must give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

Visited for dinner for the 1st time. Was looked after by Ricky who was great, we had a lot of questions about the dishes and he knew everything regarding the menu and helped us decide. Highly recommend the “hangover burger” been though we had no hangover! Food is all locally sourced and fresh. The food was just amazing, the best burger I have tasted to date and so tasty. Great value for money and highly recommended!

Have eaten here on several occasions and food is always good quality, reasonably priced & tasty. This time I tried the pork & apple burger which was delicious, sweeter than your usual burger and a little lighter than the beef options. They offer decent meal deal offers including a cinema deal & burger deal. It is a bit annoying that they don’t take orders at the tables, especially as they seem to have plenty of staff to do this and this small thing could make a big difference. Linen hill is easily the best place for food at the boulevard offering a more varied menu with lighter options than others. Would recommend & will be back!

Stopped in here today for lunch with my daughter as the menu looked like it would suit both our tastes. I had the Super salad with portobello mushrooms and my daughter had the chicken burger which we asked for with no sauce or salad, just chicken, cheese and bacon. When the food arrived, very quickly, my daughter’s burger had a large slice of tomato in it but no bacon! I took it back and explained the problem and they said they would change it. Bearing in mind when I ordered, the server repeated the order to me and it was correct, the error must have been made in the kitchen. When the burger returned it was obvious that the tomato had just been lifted out and a slice of bacon put in. This was obvious as there were still seeds from the tomato and red dye from it on the burger bun. That part of the bun wasn’t eaten and feel it’s wrong for a restaurant to do that rather than changing the bun itself. Also the cheese was very tough and stuck to the inside of the top of the bun so not even covering the chicken. Chicken looked nice but was tough and she found 2 hairs in her fries. Not very successful lunch for her. My salad though was lovely, though very over priced. It was £11 for the salad plus £2.50 for the 3 very small portobello mushrooms which were added. Note, it’s £2.50 to add chicken or the mushrooms to this salad but there is a big difference in the price of chicken and mushrooms so this extra was definitely over priced. So my salad cost £13.50!! All in all the lunch cost £31.50, this included two soft drinks. Whilst the restaurant is very clean, lovely setting and atmosphere and the staff are friendly, It is not good value. Might try it again in the future but won’t be rushing back!

Found this place by chance whilst on a visit to the boulevard. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. There wasa good selection on the menu along with the daily specials. The system of food ordering was clearly explainedWe plumped for the fish and chips and we were not disappointed. The food was cooked fresh to order and the fish was cooked to perfection with light batter and the chips were equally cooked wellThe additions of mushy peas and tartare sauce were greatIt is definitely the best eatery at the boulevard. Lovely staff who greeted us. Ordered food and paid for at bar. Simple efficient way of ordering food. The food we received was well presented and very good. This place is a little gem after a day shopping. Very nice atmosphere, lovely servers and great food.

We eat here most times we visit the Boulevard - so it must be doing something right. Menu is pretty good and has vegan and veggie options, which is important to me. Service is usually pretty fast. What I find annoying is having to do the ordering yourself. A meal turns into an initial memory test of what the rest of the party wants as you stand at the counter trying to remember what someone told you a few minutes before. It’s stress I don’t need in my life. I usually end up giving my wife my card and letting her do it - and then she comes back with bonus booze (for her). They should really provide note pads and pens for the patrons to assist with this. And maybe someone dressed as a waiter/waitress to operate them. Just a thought. Good food though.

Very pleasant lunch was had here recently. Good variety of food for many different tastes. We had the ham hock croquettes which were delicious. Mains were the super salad with chicken and the burger which were also delicious.

While it is the only food outlet in the boulevard . aside from snacks , they are good at their fare. Their monopoly has not gone to their head!

I wanted the kiddie menu, have a VERY small appetite, wasn't allowed...considering the muck that we were served I am glad that I didn't. 2 manins, 1 soft drink and 1 beer, £30. He had a burger that a trampoline would have been proud to call a sister, vile. I had the 'fajithas' over seasoned chicken with half filled portions of 'salsa'..defo from a commercial tub as was the sour cream. The guacamole was palatable. I didn't eat the rice or S.P. wedges...too much food for me. Keep driving of go to Macca's or B.K. where you also have to walk to the counter and per-pay..

We visited Linenhill @ the boulevard for a lunch. I got the soup special and my fiancé got the spinach tortellini. The soup was tasty but a bit watery. I was really disappointed by the lack of bread selection (white or brown). Given that they utilise local produce I was looking forward to maybe a nice wheaten or sourdough. My fiancé thought the pasta was lovely but for the price he received 8 pieces of tortellini and no sides included in the price. Service was very good and this was on a busy day. Overall it was good but I think there are better more reasonable cafes/ restaurant s in Banbridge town.

Absolutely fantastic!! A young dark haired girl was my server last week and she was a lovey girl. Really made us feel welcome and catered to our needs brilliantly, 5 stars for her!!! . Food was delicious, will definitely be back.

Just called in before 8.30pm tonight for a bite to eat or so we thought. We were turned away as the kitchen closes at 8pm despite the advertised opening hours stating they were open until 9pm.

Just had thee most amazing lunch with my mummy today. The food was outstanding very quick service very pleasant and attentive staff nothing was to much trouble. Have been here a few times and never been disappointed would highly recommend and will definitely be back .

If you are in Banbridge Outlet and planning to go to the cinema there is a great 20 quid cinema deal - main plus glass of wine or beer plus cinema ticket. Food is good and staff are polite and helpful.

We have visited here several times in the past and I have recommended this restaurant to many friends, however that will no longer be the case. The food I received was not as described on the menu with items missing and the quality of the food was poor. The member of staff who dealt with it was offhand and unapologetic. I won’t bother returning here ; the customer service is very poor.

It’s been a long time since we dined here for various reasons. For us to dine here it’s a 30 mile round trip, and with them increasing food prices we found alternative places nearer home that offered much better value for similar quality, particularly at breakfast and we didn’t have to self order.

Dropped in recently one cold Friday night for a bite to eat. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff were pleaseant and efficent. We all went for the burgers, starting at £12.50 each and £13.50 for the venison burger - but they do a burger deal for two at £25 which includes a drink. It was enjoyable though I thought for the price the burgers should have been homemade but to us they seemed too processed to be freshly made but tasty anyhow. Would try visit again and try something different of the menu.

Use this restaurant on a regular basis for both social and business lunches. Very well located just a minute of the A1 so idea to meet someone for a great variety of food.

Called here for the first time and ordered the fresh seafood chowder, one main (£12) and one starter (£6.50) along with one tea - total cost - £20.40. I thought that it was a little dear, but my wife disagreed, as we had a good sample of fish although her (starter) small portion was --- small. Not sure if I would call here again as I still believe it is a little costly when you see what is on offer when you look at the menu that is available.

We went to linenhill for a meal out, we were quite a large group and everything from the initial booking, the greeting, the customer service and the food was brilliant. Everything was taken care of so therefore we all could just relax, enjoy our meal and have a lovely evening. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Every single one of our group enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be back, Thank you!

Called into the Linen Hill for a quick starter before having a main course of popcorn & pick’n’mix at the movies!!! Her chicken starter was tasty and they did a decent bowl of soup with home baked bread. Would be keen to try the mains in future

Called in today for dinner and couldn’t recommend this place enough. Menu offered a great variety with many enticing options. I opted for the Philly steak sandwich that came with chips, salad and pepper sauce. The meat was tender and meal was delicious! Food was served relatively quickly and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

This is a handy place to stop on the way to or from Belfast. The chicken fajitas for two was very tasty and a substantial meal which came with sweet potato fries.

Called in for a bit of lunch but was quickly regretting it when I had to take a dirty manky cup back and ask for a clean one !! Bad start but the food was ok, nothing special but £14 for a so called Steak Sandwich is way over priced and it was very chewy and full of fatty bits.Sweet potato fries were very tasty. Expected more but left a bit disappointed.

We drop in here quite regularly to "stock up " on supplies in The Boulevard and Tesco. Shopping here in the North still is far more reasonable than down home!

Linen Hill is conveniently located for a pit stop between Dublin and the North coast. We stopped here after a long day and had a nice if not spectacular meal. To be fair there was a vast difference between our two meals. I ordered chicken Madras with a side of chips. The curry was bland to the point that I could not get any curry taste off it at all. The rice was overcooked to the point of breaking down into a sort of mush. Even the chips weren't great, I got a bowl of mostly chip bits and very few proper chips.
