Called in for a quick coffee on a very wet, miserable morning. The staff were brilliant, very welcoming, coffees were delicious and the chat was great. Lovely place to stop...breakfast looked great but we’d already eaten. We’ll be back 👍

Was not very happy with our visit to lillys. Before I had even reached the till the older woman asked me what I was ordering as they did not have much food left. she seemed very stressed and not very friendly. She told me there was no more seats but I said my partner was already seated upstairs. I ended up asking for chicken and chips and 1 scone as it would have definately been more stress to order more food. not sure food is made there as we overheard the order being made over phone. food was alright came out quickly. customer service definately put me off as i felt more of a burden. would not return.

Saturday for lunch as a friend had recommended Lilly's. A warm welcome and they were happy to adjust the contents of the fry to meet my request. We went up stairs where there was plenty of extra space. The meals were brought quickly to our table and were piping hot. The fry was great and the bacon and brie wrap average. I would recommend it for the fry.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to have breakfast when some plates caught our eyes. At first, what we saw was somewhat strange (a waffle with an egg on top), but the more we saw the better they looked. We decided to have breakfast there and not long afterwards we decided we wanted to go there again the next day. Overall, I´d say the food at Lilly´s is good, its location convenient and the staff very friendly and accessible.

Stopped here January 2019 for brunch. To be fair I initially thought it was a home bakery / café with fresh food. It was a café. Quality of food and premises was dismal. Toilets dreadful and wished I had gone to them when I entered as I would have left immediately!! Met the manager returning as we were leaving with a hot food carryout from elsewhere for their lunch. Speaks for itself. Would prefer to go hungry than eat here again. Horrible food in a equally horrible small building.

The panini was freshly made with a salad on the side and was the best coffee we had had in nearly 3 weeks of travel. It came just as asked for - sttong and hot, plus it was a very nice tasting coffee. All the staff were friendly and very pleasant and even gave us chocolates before we left. Unfortunately very disappointing visit yesterday. I know they were busy so made allowances for that. Ordered 2 cappuccinos and asked for takeaway mugs (we were sitting outside plus to save on dishes!) After a long wait they brought out 1 cappuccino and 1 americano, both in cups. They eventually returned with the 2nd cappuccino which was in a small cup, only half full, lukewarm and too strong. Had already waited long enough for what we got.

Then we found the chibatta's came as an open style with just one half of the bread. Might've run out of them due to the time of day but not a thing was mentioned to us. Poor welcome for visitors. Couldn't believe how rude the staff were here.It was a little over an hour before the cafe was supposed to be closed when myself and two friends arrived. We were greeted with eye rolls and pure attitude. I ordered the meal deal of a mini quiche, side salad and chips. My friends ordered a baked potato with coleslaw and a club sandwich. All three orders were to come with chips but none were given, nor was any coleslaw on the potato and the salad was a joke. The quiche wasnt even cooked through. A substitute for just the coleslaw was offered but at that point we just wanted to leave. If someone is giving you eye contact and knows how to say please and thank you, then have the common courtesy to treat them like a human being. I hate to have to go here, but I really hope our southern accents weren't to blame.

It's all about attitude and training. I took a group of six (including myself) here for lunch last week. There were four staff working behind the counter but no one seemed to be designated to handle the till, so we waited a long time to pay; and when the queue built up at the counter, they all got a little flustered. Mind you, the spot is small and there's not much room to move about in, so perhaps management should look at this? And the reason for going there in the first instance? The food was good and the staff were generally nice, although even by 13.30 many of their lunch dishes had sold out (no smoked salmon, although it proudly lit up their 'lunchtime specials menu').But service with a smile would be appreciated. The Six Counties is full of nice places with good food, but staff attitudes (to the customer) need to improve as they are light years behind the service on offer further south, in similar tourist areas. One thing about visiting towns like Bushmills in the summer is the abundance of Union Jacks and kerbing painted red, white and blue. All of my party found it aggressive and off putting, and I personally would think twice about visiting the town again in July or August. They really wear their politics on the sidewalks. (And I think this is the elephant in the room when it comes to customer service.)Would I go back again? Probably not in a rush.

We have been to Lilly's before and found it OK. Have to say our experience this time was severely lacking. On arrival, the staff didn't make eye contact for a few minutes. Yes, they were clearly busy sorting orders but even a quick "Will be with you in a moment," would have helped. Then as we waited a guy walked in after us, right up to the counter and they took his order first. Unacceptable. We placed our order, were given a number and headed upstairs to a seat to wait. And wait. And wait. After 20 minutes (for two Americanos - not a complex order!) and after two groups in after us received our order, we headed downstairs and asked for a refund. The look we were given could have curdled milk.Extremely poor.Let us save you the hassle - go next door to Ground Espresso, or across the square to The Copper Kettle.Give this place a miss.

When you've spent a few hours browsing through stalls at an autumn fair the smell of freshly ground coffee proves an irresistible lure for a relaxing break.Lilly's in the centre of Bushmills proved a worthwhile stop for me and my male pal during a Salmon and Whisky festival in the village. The first thing we noticed was the smiling, friendly and very helpful staff who enjoyed a bit of craic while making sure we were made aware of what was on offer.A small snack and drinks sufficed, eaten in comfortable surroundings and leaving us ready for the next stage of our afternoon's visit. The abiding memory is the way the staff welcomed us and the efficiency of service.Civility costs nothing but goes a long way to enhancing a restaurant's reputation. Lilly's has a limited menu compared to other cafe's in the town. So toasties, panini's, sandwiches, that sort of thing are available rather than a quick dinner/snack. The food was nice but our panini was a warmed baguette rather than toasted panini and the salad was shredded iceberg and not that interesting. They did accommodate the kids very well and offered choices of smaller dishes not on the menu. Seating is limited downstairs but we liked sitting upstairs looking out across the square. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the seating upstairs was very comfortable.

Found this little place by accident. We were looking for a little lunch bite in Bushmills. The coffee is great, I rarely say that, and the food portions are generous, we shared a toasted wrap - which was massive, for one person it would be too big.
