Popped in as we were passing... Great kids menu , atmosphere & decor. Callum served us and singlehandedly kept the kids entertained the whole time, top guy. Definitely be returning

Unfortunately not a great day guys! Arrived 1pm, drinks and food order taken half an hour later. No drinks came and had to ask for them again about 20 minutes later as the staff forgot about them. Starters came and were nice! Kids one was supposed to be with hummus for dipping but the new chef has apparently decided that this isn't suitable now but hasn't removed it from the menu, or so we were told. Sunday dinners came and weren't too bad, not amazing though. Unfortunately the vegetarian of the group was given sausage meat stuffing with their nut roast 🤦‍♂️ Got the bill wrong at the end to top it off. Not much in the way of apologies. Won't be back in a hurry I'm afraid.

Horrible service, do NOT recommend. Table booked for 5pm with pre-ordered meals, and we were sat still waiting for starters over 1 and a half hours later at 6.30. Ended up walking out and got fed elsewhere. Will never return and will tell people to AVOID.

Booked as a part of a group of 27 including 10 children. We pre-ordered the food a month before arrival. Our table was booked for 17:30, food did not starts arriving until 18:47. Despite watching everyone getting their food on other tables. When I went up to ask, I got a rude ‘what do you expect for a large party’. I expected to start having food arrive at our table after arrival as it was pre-ordered as requested. Myself and my daughter didn’t get our order, as a result ended up eating pizza from others, as we needed to leave for the England match. We had to cancel dessert and leave as it was 19:15 by the time mains were served up for the most and had to be rushed. Nobody came at any point to check on the party and ask if anything was needed. We were constantly having to get up and ask. The rude service was something else. As a result we missed 20 minutes of the first half of the football match. What was meant to be an enjoyable and relaxed evening out for my daughter’s football team, ended up stressful and buying snacks to fill the kids.

took 25 minutes to get served a drink. An hour after arriving a food came. We were told that this was because they were very busy upstairs and downstairs. There were 2 tables of 4 people when we arrived and when we left there was only one table of 4 occupied downstairs. Very poor service.

I think this is a venue that may have been impacted by hybrid working, as it is located on a business park. Even though we had a table booked, we thought it was closed when we arrived. Don't make your choices based on the online menu as it was a different menu when we arrived and had to reselect. The food was good as was the service.

Spoilt my retirement party ordered meals everyone came except mine waited ages then I cancelled it this is not the first time it's happened my friends went to alot of effort to arrange this night out for it to be Spoilt never again

Took mum here for a birthday lunch, before an Event at the Stadium of Light. The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were super helpful however there could have been more staff on at the restaurant bar. It took a while for the first drinks to arrive,m which were nearly finished by the time the food arrived so requested another. We waited 30 mins for that cocktail and had finished eating so we cancelled & got the bill instead … downstairs looked lively & fun but we decided to head to the event earlier than initially planned as we waited too long for drinks within the restaurant.

Came on the night of Beyonce at the stadium of light, was very busy but we booked so got our table quickly. The staff seemed extremely overwhelmed, way too many tables for the level of staff they had. Luckily, for us, we didn't wait very long for our food. The poor lad who looked after us was a bit frantic and didn't fill me with much confidence that he'd put our order through correctly. Unsurprisingly, he forgot the dirty fries on my flatbread upgrade and he put through the BBQ chicken burger instead of the BBQ chicken pizza. However, everything was delicious and everyone we encountered were friendly and handled what was a difficult shift for them, including the young lad that took our order, he was lovely, he just needs more training/experience. Will definitely return, had a great time and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Was for good but service is really slow. All we had was 2 mains and were there 2 hours. The restaurant was not busy

Decided to visit purely because of the excellent menu they had on for restaurant week. Nice & easy to book a table online. We were seated In a booth. Great choice on the menu. The place was busy but a good atmosphere. I opted for the salad as a starter, my mam & youngest daughter had potato skins. 3 of us orders pasta, 2chicken & chorizo penne pasta & 1 penne carbonara, my mam had the Katsu chicken, it’s a favourite of hers ☺️ For desert my oldest daughter opted for the white choc & baileys cheesecake, she said it was lovely but the bases was solid, couldn’t cut into it, my youngest got the brownie & she enjoyed. It’s the price of the drinks that made the bill rocket in price. Overall would go back again especially while there is a set menu on

Great food, service was slow as there was only 2 barmaids on. Had the fillet steak and apparently it was 8oz but clearly was about a 5oz at best.

It is the first time I have been in there the food was nice I got katsu chicken curry just could have done with been a little hotter

Lunch treat today for 6 of us - we all had buttermilk chicken burgers and one spicy chicken flatbread! All served quickly and piping hot! Only suggestion would be maybe some sandwich/wrap options for lunch Really nice staff and great food!

My partner took me for your birthday and it was beautiful with amazing service. Definitely will return. Starters and mains all came out quick, well presented and tasted amazing. After meal cocktails were of the same high standard.

Went at lunch time, food was lovely with good portions and service was great, it also has a lovely atmosphere, will definitely be going back to try out the cocktail menu!

They are currently offering ‘up to 50% off’ all food for January (of course, the words ‘up to’ are far smaller than the rest, so that the deal appears to be half-price food, when it isn’t). In fact, the only items that have 50% off are potato skins and a side salad. Everything else is discounted by much, much less. It’s also a different menu to the one advertised online. Regardless of this, the food was inedible. Everything was coated in salt, to the point that we had to order pints of water because our throats were sore. We couldn’t eat the starter, but hoped it was an error in the kitchen. The mains came with the exact same issue - the only thing you could taste was salt. I have never eaten such salty food in my life - I actually left feeling unwell. I’ve done a quick search on here and people have complained of the exact same issue for years, even back to 2016 and about kids’ meals being far too salty to eat! Take note that the prices on the menu do not correlate to the prices that they will charge you on the bill - be sure to check that you are not being overcharged. The whole thing felt like a bit of a con to get people in, only to serve them poor-quality food.

Good basic menu, quite expensive but quick service and a good location to get parked. The shopping area next door is a short walk with a few good shops.

We came for Sunday lunch, 2 adults & 2 children under 6. Lovely atmosphere, great music and the staff are lovely! Especially with the kids. Sunday lunch is delicious, best dinner in Sunderland! Kids menu is brilliant too! Always love coming here.

The Sunday lunch is amazing, one of the best I've had. Happily accommodated a dairy allergy. Friendly staff. Only slight negative is the dark decor, not enough to deduct a star.

Drinks downstairs to start with my wife, good atmosphere and good music, excellent selection of cocktails which are works of art, I personally do not drink and they had a choice of AF beer which was great, however the DJ then chose to turn the music up exponentially which was surprising considering there was approximately 15 people present. It was that loud my wife and I couldn't even converse, other couples were trying to move out of the ear shot of the music but to the venues credit the sound system is too good and too well placed. We then moved upstairs to eat, placed on a table which was smack in the middle of the restaurant with everyone sitting around the outside, felt like a bull ring, the table was unstable as well as the chairs, the menu looked amazing but we decided to leave as we were uncomfortable. Great decor inside and great concept.

Always enjoy liberty browns but was slightly mediocre today. Service was really slow and our main meals were pretty cold. Even though it was the cheaper menu it didn’t really call for the cheaper service.

Visited Saturday 11th June for my birthday, staff was lovely and very helpful. Food was beautiful, nothing was a bother and the range of cocktails was brilliant. We enjoyed it that much we returned the next day for our Sunday lunch. Again staff was great, food beautiful. Only thing was tipping - you can't tip on a card payment as it doesn't get given to the staff. Unfortunately we had no cash on us so when the lady is on next time we're in we'll make a point of taking some cash.

Had an amazing time and highly recommend. The venue is stunning. Loved the sort of jungle/woodland theme, both in and outdoors. We had a meal upstairs where again, the decor is great. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife said its the best katsu chicken she's ever had. My Jamaican kebab was delicious. I'll definitely be going back if I'm in that area again. My wife and I love cocktails and were blown away by the creativity of all the different drinks. Staff were all very friendly and attentive Can't wait to go back.

Food amazing, staff so friendly. My friend was vegan and they were very attentive to his needs. Never had any vegan deserts left but given a drink as an apology. Atmosphere was great and prices was very reasonable. Will most definitely come back again.
