Food is really good and staff very friendly and quick service

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was busy, the staff were friendly, the service was swift and the food was excellent - clearly freshly cooked and good quality. A popular place, and its popularity is well-deserved.

awful arrogant management and staff. treated awful and with great disrespect, never will i ever step foot in that place again! certainly not suitable considering i had a child with me!

The manager has a very poor attitude and does not care about this customers. never again will i ever step foot in that place again. word of warning i would not bother or waste your money. arrogant, rude and highly disrespectful even considering i had a child with me!

My first time in Wrexham, came here for my lunch with my friend and had the best meal of my entire life. Everything was amazing and great staff. 10/10 would recommend the chinese curry sauce. Love it here. Going to come back to Wrexham just for this chippy.

Fish cooked to perfection, very nice staff, reasonably priced.

We had fish and chips lunch time on 3/08/23; It was truly excellent in terms of flavour, quantity; the accompaniments also came with the meal, were an option of tea, cold drink, cans etc and bread and butter, plus ketchup, rartare sauce and mushy peas. This was my last meal of the day as the portions were so generous, simply wonderful value, wexcellence all round.

Can be busy, however, that's a good sign. Good traditional food on offer at very good prices. Good sized portions and the staff take your order at the table and are helpful if you require anything whilst you are eating (more bread and butter, sauce, etc) Will definitely go back.... Why! Because I found the choice,s on the menu and seeing the portions other people had looked tempting. I have eaten in a few places in the town and this has to be the best at the moment.

Beautiful little sit in chip shop chips were perfect and the fish was to die for perfectly cooked cod with crispy batter and the mushy peas were a little runny but tasted divine and prive was good too

We always have our fish & chips here great food but the staff can be abrupt & rude really need to smile more & learn to be polite but we keep going because of the fish & chips

I was recommended this place by a colleague from work - I am new to Wrexham and was craving a decent fish & chips meal. So, feeling that the day had finally arrived, I approached the restaurant around 1 pm. The place was relatively quiet - I took it because it was a Monday. The coffee arrived first and it was decent. I would like to clarify that the service was good & prompt. However, when the fish & chips arrived, the batter around the fish was so crispy that I couldn't even use a knife to cut into it. The fish itself was dry, tasteless & bland!! I believe the problem is that the fish is fried in big batches beforehand and simply allowed to sit for hours. Don't get me started on the chips...they were soggy, oily & tasted awful!! I would generally not be so harsh with my reviews but this was just disgusting and might I add, the fish & chips were not particularly cheap!! Never again....save your appetite for a much more decent place!!

Clean restaurant and friendly service. However due to the fish not cooked to order which is vital for any quality fish restaurant, the fish isn’t hot and was rather tired. Ketchup isn’t Heinz although disguised as Heinz so a tad disingenuous Not as good as it used to be unfortunately

Had a lovely fish lunch, very COVID19 safe with track and Trace in place.

Excellent service. We had the special Fish chips mushy peas tea and bread and butter crispy batter lovely chips served straight away by pleasant staff. Everywhere was so fresh and clean. Only thing is you need a good appetite as it is too nice to waste. Thank you to all the staff.

The staff are super friendly and always so polite. The atmosphere there is great it lively but comfortable. The manager she never hesitate to go above and beyond to make sure your stay was fantastic. The food that is cooked there is to die for and you can tell it’s like one big family in there 🥰

Gone right down hill lately, had a fish chips n peas last week and it was awful honestly, always rated this place since it opened but won’t be going back any time soon, I think there’s new owners....

Good size fish for a reasonable price

We have used this eatery for many years, and up to now, have always been pleased. Unfortunately, today has been very disappointing. The fish was very overcooked and extremely chewy. Never had chewy fish before! Not a bit appetising. The chips were not the best, had lots of bits mixed in, not what you would call chips. I think it has changed owners. They will have to do a lot better than this. Sadly it will be a while before we return. I might add that due to 'sit in' not being available, we had take outs, though that should not have made any difference. We only discovered how bad they were when we got home and couldn't take them back. I phoned up to complain and he was grudgingly apologetic, almost claiming it was my fault for asking the fish to be lightly battered! Again, that shouldn't have made any difference.

Today was the first time I’ve ever had food from here. Me and my partner both absolutely loved it. The Chinese curry was amazing and the fish was the nicest I’ve ever had from a chippy! And the woman who served me was lovely. Will definitely be going back for more!

Visited here a few times and the food has always been ok- nothing special but nothing to complain about either. Visisted the other day and ordered a cheese burger and chips. I noticed that every table had salt and Heinz tomato Ketchup on. Great I thought as cheap Ketchups are just awful. I proceeded to put ketchup on my burger and also a generous amount on my chips- completely ruined the whole meal as I noticed later on that they wear filling the Heinz bottles up with ;Chefs Larder' cheap, nasty ketchup! May I point out that this is mis leading and more importantly illegal as a consumer should be able to check allergen advice on the back of the bottle. Also the current track and trace system was wrongly implemented. This cafe just gave me a pad and a pen and asked me to put my name and number on a long list- this contravenes data protection! YOU need to ask the customer for this information NOT give every customer access to everyone elses personal information- Pretty basic stuff really!! Very disappointing

Went in today for the first time since it has been taken over my new management. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. They have to put up with a lot at the moment and are a real credit to the shop. The waitresses were so lovely to everyone and I thoroughly enjoyed my hot meal 😋

Staff and management have a real bad attitude there and talk to customers like s***. Will advise to avoid this place at all cost

Customer service here is awful spoken to like S#$T By Staff Members attitude towards customers is the worst very unprofessional behaviour I would avoid at all costs.

Was greeted very rudely and then when asked to speak to manager about it was then spoken rudely by him.. used to go there alot but will never go there again.

The food here is so yummy which is why I head here every Saturday! Only problem is that the portions are pretty small for the price. It can also be a little pricey in there depending on what you order. I wouldn't be without my chicken nuggets and chips from there though!

Visit here regularly when in Wrexham. Always a friendly greeting but the staff. Good service and a reasonably priced menu. Food choice is of normal chippy fare, but could not want better freshly prepared food. Love the fish strip dinner. Just enough for a lunch time filler. Thanks team.

Called in with a friend for chippy dinner. Two dinners ordered...one with pie and one with large sausage.Tried to order large chips with the meal but was told if you want extra chips you have to buy an extra portion...Unusual for a chippy not to have the option for large portion.Also peas were not impressive and a bit tasteless and washy.I will say the chips were nice and hot.Bread was £1.70 for 2 slices.Service was good and tables always cleaned.

After smelling the chip shop a couple of streets away we were tempted and NOT disappointed. Good value and good value. Thanks

People seemed to be enjoying their meals when I passed earlier so I made a point of returning. My fish and chips were perfectly cooked - see photo.The restaurant was spotless and light, the waitresses friendly and helpful.They didn't have decaff coffee but other beverages were available.

Had a fish special dinner & my wife had scampi & chips at 12.20 earlier this week & it was excellent. The place looked newly refurbished & was spotlessly clean (as indeed were the toilets). The food was cooked perfectly & there was no grease. The portions were generous & the staa polite & efficient. I could not fault any part of the meal & will definitely be going back. First class

I usually pop here most Saturday afternoons if I’m in Wrexham town centre. My daughter loves the fish strips and chips. The young girls waitressing are lovely and friendly and serve you very quickly. Nice to see young ladies who are working hard and always smiling. I love the fish strips, chips and mushy peas but their jacket potatoes are second to none too. Highlight of our Saturday going here and Our tummy’s are full for rest of the day

We had Fish chip mushy peas ,bread and a drink.It was beautiful the fish was outstanding.If I was going to moan it would be the bread it was a little stale so when I go again I wouldn't have the bread.
