Mother's Day at Hell's Kitchen. Overcooked, tasteless food. Overpriced! Vegetarian option? What option?! Sexist, couldn't care less waiters. Old world! needs to disappear. Bewildered customers looking for the Lemonia lost some time ago. Disabled customers left waiting in the cold and rain. Nobody could be bothered to just slide the lock open! We're done with the place and it seemed the usual eclectic crowd has already.

Great service, atmosphere and interior. But food was very average I’m afraid. None of the things we ordered were very good.

Warm, family atmosphere. Arrived at 6pm, early solo dinners known by name gradually made way to larger groups and by 7:30pm it was bustling, on Monday in March! That tells you a lot of people love this place and it's easy to see why. Main dishes might be a couple pounds pricier than a cut & paste high street chain. But I'd far rather see local, community focused businesses kept alive and well. Will definitely visit again. Side note, a member of my party could only eat soft foods for medical reasons. They were very happy with the soup offering and the Crème Caramel.

A Greek restaurant that I was taken to 25 years ago. When I was traveling alone, I had takeaway lunch. The charcoal-grilled fish is exquisite! It was really delicious with a moderate amount of salt sprinkled with Sicilian lemon. I was impressed by the taste, which is the same as it was 25 years ago.

I went there on Valentine’s Day and booked 10 days in advance. It was absolutely amazing!!! Not the typical pitta dishes you may find everywhere. Authentic, tasty Greek cuisine. We loved it. The quality of food was on a different level, the taste genuine and delicious. The waiter was super nice and friendly and recommended some of the best dishes to try. We will definitely go back to try more of their options.

Not cheap, but utterly magnificent! This family run restaurant has been serving its clientele for many years. I recall coming here as a boy with my godfather. I’m now on my mid-fifties. Best Greek restaurant in London - hands down! I didn’t have it today but the octopus salad is well worth checking out.

This is a local gem and you can tell it’s authentic Greek food made with love. Everytime I go here I have a good meal. My only complaint is the price for what you get. I think it is a tad bit expensive but that’s also because of the area. Great place!

Really tasty food and friendly staff made our family dinner less stressful. The meat was wonderfully cooked and a super fresh salad made my evening. Although it was a bit too noisy for my liking, some greek music as background made the evening enjoyable. Lovely starters and some salad in the picture as the meat flew off into our mouth within minutes!! Too delicious!!

Not worth the price for the portions and quality they serve. Even if you are looking to splurge, I wouldn’t be too excited about this restaurant. Good ambience and staff but the food tasted average – there are much better Greek restaurants in Camden Town with a warm cozy family feel.

Great spot to bring picky eaters, people you don’t know very well, parents, friends, cousins, uncles, and people who feel like “whatever” for dinner! Really good value for money given the location, tasty food, personable service. Ambience can get a little noisy but the crowds are how you know this place is legit!

This restaurant has gone down hill. What's happened? Such a shame, cannot even cook what's on the menu, came back with a feeble excuse from the chef. Tasteless. Over priced. So very disappointed as travelled a long way to just eat here. It was like sitting in the wrong restaurant, certainly not the Lemonia I have known for the past 15 years. They had the nerve to charge service charge for a meal that they could not deliver. Plus a waiter serving, who looked liked a fed up night club bouncer. Not friendly or welcoming at all. Please bring back the fabulous food and fair pricing the smiles and the happiness that you once were. So sorry if ill health or staffing challenges have altered your once top class restaurant.

We love going to Greece and therefore frequently visit Lemonia when we can't get on a plane but need a hit. When there, our heartbeats slow a few bpm and we feel at ease with the world, plus the waiters are great at putting up with my parents as they practice the Greek they've learnt at the Hellenic centre in Marylebone.

The beautiful diamond in the Primrose Hill crown - the atmosphere and surroundings of this place make it so special. Tony and his great team are warm, fun efficient, and thoughtful. We had a really wholesome evening and cannot recommend enough! Thanks guys x

The food was nice but basic. It’s very over priced! A chicken kebab is around £24 and a small glass of wine £9. The restaurant itself is nice but basic. Prob would not visit again.

One of the best Greek reastaurants in London. The staff are attentive and caring. The food is fresh and delicious. The venue is atmospheric and steeped in history. Tony told us a wonderful story of how they renovated the building and we were made to feel so welcome. We started our dinner at 7.15pm and left when it closed. A wonderful night was had by us all.

Celebrated New Year's Eve at this traditional Greek restaurant. We had not been for well over 10 years but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the excellent service. There was ten of us in total and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the team for making our evening so enjoyable

Tried a variety of dishes, and each one was a hit. The menu offers a diverse range of flavors that cater to different tastes.

This is the real deal as far as Greek Cypriot cuisine in London is concerned. The service, food, and atmosphere are always among the best you will find anywhere serving Mediterranean food. The starter dishes like hummus and taramasalata are perfect. Main dishes like Kleftiko, moussaka, kounouli, and stifado all reminded me of my own mothers cooking, which is the highest praise I can deliver to any restaurant. Great night out and the hype surrounding this restaurant is richly deserved. Highly recommended.

Comparable with the best Greek I have had in Australia and made my Greek wife so happy.

Fantastic restaurant!! Comprehensive menu with lots of vegetarian options. We had stuffed vine leaves (best we've ever tasted) and halloumi souvlaki to start, then artichokes with broad beans, lentils, and a spinach and pine-nut side. We finished with baklava. The food is delicious, the service is efficient and friendly and it is well priced.

I wish I could give zero star. The worst Greek food that you can eat in your life. FOOD HAVE NO TASTE AT ALL. Aubergine salad has the taste of water. Rice has the taste of water. TERRIBLE. Small portions. So damn EXPENSIVE. As noisy and irritating as a fish market. Long long waiting time to be served with most bland food.

I've enjoyed an evening meal at Lemonia a few times now, following recommendation by a Greek friend, and it's always hit the spot. The starter meze dishes are all fine (it's hard to get them wrong) but the main's are excellent in that they're fresh, tasty and filling. The atmosphere is also great as the restaurant is usually pretty full and everyone is having a good time. Worth checking out.

Lemonia used to be so much better. Basic, fairly bland Greek food that won't upset anyone but doesn't inspire either. Expensive for what it was. The best thing we ordered was the tsatsiki which was properly tangy with garlic. Staff are pleasant and the atmosphere is nice and roomy.

La atención de los camareros es rápida. Dispone de abundante personal amable, pero son poco "delicados" con el manejo de la cubertería.

Unpretentious restaurant serving really good food since ages. Over the many years they’ve been here, they maintained good quality overall, never failed to deliver to my expectations. Fast and kind service. If in doubt on where to go in Primrose Hill, come here, you won’t be disappointed. Good for an informal dinner out with friends. Can get loud.

Anyone reading the reviews please do not take them to heart, I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The lunch menu is amazing at £18.50, the selection is great and the quality of food is amazing. The staff are always on point and are all Greek, they serve Retsina wine as well. All in all this one of my favourite restaurants, the complaints on here are doing this amazing restaurant a disservice. 10/10

Lemonia have exceptional food, but with one problem. I've been here a few times and every time the prices just increase, I normally order the salmon, which is very good. In my experience, the food took 30 minutes to arrive.

Really overpriced. The starters were all from a container without even some olive oil on the top. It's so easy to make a tzatziki and a houmous. Especially when you charge £7 for a tiny portion when in all the other restaurants the price is between £5-£6 and the quality is better. The seafood was oily and it didn't have any salad or anything on the side. I don't mind paying more for something that worths it but it's ridiculous spending over £100 for 2 people for this quality of food.

Update 2023: popped in to ask to use the bathroom after many meals here. Sadly couldn’t accommodate a bathroom break for a 6 months pregnant woman…. I won’t be back. The service in this place is amazing. Excellent waiting staff, the sort that have been doing the job for years and make you feel comfortable and looked after. The food was okay, but things like the halloumi was not cooked fresh and just cooked and placed on a plate when ordered. Also pretty pricey mains for what isn’t the most innovative meals. Vegetarian options available.

Stingy portions for a casual Greek Taverna. Flavours were fine albeit some bizarre choices like serving dolmadakia in a tomato sauce (I am fully born and raised in Athens btw) but the tiny portions for the prices are inexcusable. £80 per person and we left hungry.

We have been here so many times, I've lost count over a 20 year period. However, I have never written a review! Lemonia do what they do...very, very well. The food is consistently very good, with excellent service and a fantastically busy, but pleasant vibe. No matter what you have on the menu, it's always tasty, well prepared and freshly cooked. No wonder, like us, people keep on going back month after month, year after year. For me, the number one Primrose Hill restaurant.

Lemonia has fallen into the trap of doing the bare minimum to satisfy the well healed of Primrose Hill. I am Greek and it was disappointing to see this poor quality fare dished up. Poor presentation, sulky staff going through the motions and mediocre food , The Red Mullet , an expensive fish , miserably served on a naked plate with no garnish . Tinned artichokes, microwaved Yaladoboureko . Make a trip to Bounds or Palmers Green , they do it so much better

The best overall Greek-Cypriot restaurant in London. I had the pleasure of tasting the best Red Mallet in the UK. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Superbly decorated inside with a lovely floral back area and nice seating area at the front. You will find a lot more than the typical touristy Greek dishes, let the staff help you with your choices. Placed on Primrose Hill, not far from Chalk Farm underground, it is a must Culinary and enjoy full visit.

My girlfriend and I came across this place on our way back from Primrose Hill. The place was lively and drew us in. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and Floriano who served us was so amazing. Very friendly and made our night that much more special.

12 of us enjoyed a convivial lunch today. We chose the set lunch menu which had a wide variety of choice over three courses. The grilled sea bass was well-cooked and a generous portion, with accompanying rice, potatoes or salad. My salad was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. The vegetarian option (stuffed green peppers) was criticised as somewhat bland but quite acceptable. Ohers had spare ribs or lamb casserole. First course included toasted brioche with avocado and smoked salmon, grilled portobello mushrooms and much else. Puddings were limited to rice pudding, Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts (which was the universal choice) and crème caramel or tea/coffee. Complementary Turkish (?Greek) delight came with the coffee. We drank house red and white wine and had bottled still water which was chilled. All in all a lovely lunch, a nice atmosphere and very good value for money.

Bĺand Bland Bland...that's the only description for the the food served at this greek eaterie, ordered lamb which was very bland,with rice which was very bland and greek greens which where unseasoned and also bland also roast potatoes which were the most unappetizing tragedy to meet the eye, no seasoning not even a dusting of parsley...just pale oily almost white three halves ......we replaced the rice with "bulgar wheat"...well that was soggy and guess what.....bland....we complained ( which I never do) and they removed the greens and the potatoes from the bill but I was suprised that no-one from the management came over for a chat....oh dear ...

We had high hopes as the restaurant looked lovely on Primrose Hill. The service was very attentive from waitress but concerns ignored from management. … unfortunately I fear the chef may have had the evening off this Monday evening.? A 2 course meal ordered for 2 coming in at £84.00 on a Monday evening gave us certain expectations. Starters served were below parr, no flavour in the meatball sauce & meatballs themselves were pale. Main meals arrived and fish a little overcooked as dry but forgiven… as I hate complaining, until the sides arrived as extras & inedible. Roast potato soggy & oily with no flavour resembling boiled! Rice not even competitive with ready-made supermarket packet rice. How can a restaurant get it so wrong when it’s their business & supposedly speciality? Very disappointed.

Service, atmosphere excellent. Food was disappointing. Even if it were cheap but it’s expensive. But the space is great. But the food is bad. That’s all you need to know. We had 7 dishes they all sucked. Staff was nice. They have a cute grandpa tho.
