Plenty choice on the menu but we went on a Thursday so we got a fish deal. Great menues to choose from. Lovely food and the fish is cooked in various ways. Would recommend as they also hold tribute nights, weddings ans funerals or funeral teas when requeated. Plenty of parking and wheelchair access. There is a bowling ally next door to the Centre.

Been coming to the leisure centre for food for a number of years coming at least once a month. But the last few times I have gone it’s been disappointing. I went last night for the mate date night and ordered a burger and chips while my girlfriend ordered scampi and chips both were ok but the chips we encountered a number of chips which were still solid. This will make me think twice about coming back to the leisure centre for food. It has certainly gone down hill in the past few years.

I was here for a family meal on a Sunday teatime. The menu was limited due to Sunday carvery. I had chicken strips for a starter. These were very crispy, borderline burnt! I had carver for the main which was of average quality. The meat from the carver was very good though. We waited approx 15 minutes to have our order taken for pudding, and after 25 mins of waiting for tea or coffee, I had to request a staff member to provide the refreshments. Staff in the meantime were standing chatting to each other in an alcove near the kitchen. It's most likely that I will not visit here again.

Booked a table of 2 at 430 on a Friday evening and was surprised to get a table available at 5. Arrived to a queue of people already and we were one of four other tables. Drink order taken quickly and arrived then food order taken. I ordered the apple and black pudding starter and omgosh amazing! So so good and sweet. Good size too and my wife had the Brie wedges. Cranberry sauce was good. I ordered the haddock craigewan and wife ordered the jack Daniels chicken. Wife said the sauce was really good and the cheese. Chicken was also lovely and soft. I enjoyed mine but there was way too many prawns. I ordered the Eton mess and strawberry ice cream for dessert. It was tasty but the cream was far too thick and the meringue was crushed into teeny pieces so I couldn't taste it which was a real shame. Overall I'd visit again even just for that Apple starter! The decor reminded me of a care home though but still foods good and service is great

A good place if you like fish and chips, or want to take the kids for a burger. The food is reasonable with good sized portions, and the staff are very polite and friendly. While the menu is quite extensive for meat-eaters, vegetarians are limited to baked potatoes or sandwiches. There is one main meal vegetarian option, which always seem to be veggie korma. It is good value for a lot of people, but vegetarians might want to try somewhere that has a little more imagination in it's menu.

To start with it took about 5mins for us to get seated. When we did get served, we weren't informed of the specials for the day, we only noticed the board as we walked in by accident. The waitress did not seem to interested in us. When we got our drinks, there was no ice in them. When my food arrived, I had the lasagne, my friend ordered chips and a sandwich. My lasagne was burnt, clearly had been in a microwave, tasted bland, so I did not eat it. My friends chips did not arrive until after we had eaten our meal. Not at any point was I asked if my meal was fine until the end. When I did finally get to comment on it, the waitress tried to convince me to order something else. When we came to pay for our food, the waitress then (another one) just pointed to the cash register, rather than say what my bill was. I would not recommend people to go here for lunch, staff seem uninterested, and the food most clearly comes from a microwave.

Wasn't at all sure what to expect as any time I've eaten where tenpin bowling is the main feature, chicken nuggets and burgers have been the fare. On entering, the staff were immediately helpful and pleasant. They showed us to our seats which were arranged in long rows a bit like the cookhouse in my army days but I'm not saying it was an issue because it wasn't. Everything was clean and tidy. We ordered a bottle of Merlot, which for £10 was decent enough. None of us had starters but all had mains. My wife and I had seafood platters. The portions were large, the food was basic but tasty and no issues at all. Our two hosts had the lemon sole and chicken ecosse respectively. The lemon sole was actually 2 fish and decent ones at that! I'm not too sure about the chicken ecosse, it didn't do it for me but there were no complaints. We all had alcohol based coffees. The waitress wasn't sure how to make them but because she was honest about it and gave it a good go, it was fine. A nice calypso coffee for me and Tia Maria's for the others. We all went tenpin bowling under the same roof afterwards. No problems with the lanes, decent enough bar and music going all the time. I'd go back.

I have been to the Leisure centre on many occasions, visiting family in Fraserburgh 2 or 3 time a year. It's a favourit of my elderly mum, who likes the half portions of traditional grub.Las time there was on my birthday in August and my mum was keen to treat me.I ordered a surf n turf ... the most exensive dish on the menu!this is Aberdeenshire so the beef is the best in the country and this is Fraserburgh, the top fishing fleet in the country....I looked forward to my birthday treatHowever...Really scrawny sirloin ...very poor quality, worse than you get in any HarvesterAnd as for the "tail-on prawns"....they didnt have any so provided a separate dish of deep-fried "scampi".....nothing fresh about this...straight from the freezer and not the quality end!So, despite the potential of the best beef and the best seafood combined ...the result was VERY disappointing. Please don't ask us 4 times before we ordered if we wanted a drink from the bar! Fish as you could expect is always excellent, and I had gammon which also was of a high standard. This place is used by the locals and we always go when we are in the town. We visit occasionally from home 40 miles away. We went for a meal on bank holiday Monday expecting the centre to be chock a block to our suprise it was fairly quiet, we were shown to our seats by a very courteous youn man who took our drinks order, wer wer a few minutes when he returned and asked if we were ready to order, this we did and he returned with our food in less than 5 minutes, I had lemon sole which I have to say was a generous portion and cooked to perfection, my wife had the chicken salad which again was a generous portion, we followed with a cheescake sweet along with our drinks the bill came to £23 superb

Had evening meal with friends this week (12/03/13) and every1s plate was clean when finished. We all had a steak which was cooked to our liking. Plate was full and nicely presented. All had a dessert as well which was yummy.Have been going to the leisure centre for a few year and have always enjoyed the food.In my opinion it's nothing fancy, just plain, typical standard British fare.

Was there last Saturday (6th Jan) for a family get together at the bowling alley. Decided not to eat in Strikers, but to have a high tea instead. Service was excellent, didn't have to wait long for anything and really enjoyed our meal.Very reasonable, toast, main courser, tea/coffee and cakes for about 10 pounds each for me and the wife.

Excellent! Going out for dinner in these times is certainly something to look forward to and having arrived at MacLeod House, with its impressive facade, we were already anticipating a lovely evening. Our welcome was very friendly and we sat by the fire to have a drink and browse the menu before going through to our table for two in the restaurant. There is plenty of space between diners, so no concerns here. Our food was delicious, with a tasty amuse-bouche to whet the appetite before our starter, and impressive mains. Much as we would have loved a desert, we were a bit too full, but that meant I did have space for the After Eight Espresso Martini - well that was a superb way to finish a lovely dinner! We will be back and highly recommend making a weekend dinner date at MacLeod House.

Peasholm Grill Houselocation-icon33 Victoria Park Avenue Near peasholm park, Scarborough YO12 7TR EnglandAmerican

We visited on a Thursday evening for a meal and drinks. We found the service excellent and were impressed when they accommodated two customers who turned up after the grill had been switched off for the evening. I had home baked half a steak pie - excellent value at £9.95. I’m glad I didn’t order the large version as mine was a hearty meal. Plenty of meat in the pie and lovely pastry. The chunky chips were crispy and tasty and even the peas (which are usually nondescript) were great. My wife had grilled chicken - she loved the grilled taste but was glad she asked for gravy on top - just gave it that extra tenderness. My wife had a generous portion of hot chocolate fudge cake to follow. Total bill including a bottle of wine, pint of lager and a G&T was £57. All the staff were really friendly.
