Ok so we were in Glasgow for a few days & only had a b&b we were told about the Lee palace by the receptionist but she had never eaten there. From the outside it could of done with a total make over & not somewhere you would look at twice. On entering the Chinese everyone was real friendly & attentive, we were shown to a table in the middle of the restaurant & not shaved in a corner, there were already two couples in there eating & it was only 6.30 pmWe saw they had a 3 course pre theatre meal ( whatever that was ) and it was only £9.95 for 3 courses We were apprehensive but went for it I had the 5 spring roll starter which was hot & tasty with the chicken curry to follow thinking it was gonna be full of onions I was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't & had loads of chicken, however I did find it was a little bit to hot for me but struggled through it. The pudding was fritters which were sweet & hot a bit to much syrup for me but still very tasty..The whole meal was so nice AND affordable we contemplated going back Would totally recommend this place for Chinese meal

Myself and my sisters visited lee palace for lunch on monday 22 aug 2016 with my 15 month old niece. My niece had just fallen asleep so was in her pram. When we approached the entrance a very rude staff member told us very abruptly no prams allowed leave outside and walked away. We stood for 7 minutes or so discussing wheather or not to go else where or wake up my niece. During this time no staff approached us leaving us standing in the door way with diners staring at us making us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed which gave us an easy decision to leave. The service is very very poor, extreamly rude people working there with very bad english! I use lee palace regularly but will be using a different chinese from here on. Very disappointing.

well this place is in Rutherglen my misses and myself like coming as it is nice and prices are good, for my starter had the chix and sweetcorn soup nice and thick can't fault it then had chix satay with fried rice, again lovely except came on skewers not a fan but it was still good whilst the servers do come and check if everything is OK they do tend to stay out of the way. Now this place has been taken over and this is evident by the desserts as they have a menu for them and a lot of choice, when I was younger I had an amazing banana split seeing this on the menu I had to try it, it came it was nice but disappointing don't serve banana split with grapes with fresh cream and whipped cream, you do it with banana ice cream whipped cream and choc sauce that was really only disappointing fact about the meal that's why I give it 4 out of 5

I went with my son for dinner last night. The décor is a bit old fashioned and the signage outside could be doing with a revamp, but the food itself was nice. There are not many Chinese restaurants in the area and if the owners spent a bit of money on decoration I am sure it would be busier. All in all, I would recommend it for a quick visit and the food is decent.

Three of us dined here after a show at the Town Hall. The soup starters were piping hot and delicious. Then it went downhill. The cold chicken curry (almost congealed) which had been sent back, was returned still only lukewarm! Yuk! Although I did not have the nerve to return it a second time, I expected the staff to ask if everything was ok. That didn't happen although it was obvious that it was not being touched. The other two mains (lemon chicken and beef with ginger) were hot and tasty. The pineapple fritters were also ok. I overheard a diner at the next table ordering chicken curry after we had finished and noticed that she did not eat much of hers either although all other mains seemed fine. The rating for this restaurant is based purely on customer satisfaction as I would not go back. However, it would only have taken a sincere apology and either a hot meal being produced second time around or deducting the main from the bill. Neither happened. I did not leave a proper tip.

Found this wonderful restaurant after being unceremoniously ejected from the Wotherspoons across the road. It is a bit of throwback decor wise, but it lived up to my experience of chinese / cantonese restaurants that the more dated the decor the better the food. I reckon this is because they can trade successfully on word of mouth about how good the food is so why spend money on decor? We, me, 11 year old son and 2 year old baby were well seated and served quickly, friendly and warmly with three gorgeous main courses, Duck Sow Lo (no we didn't know what it was either but if you like duck and king prawns it will be a treat), Cantonese fillet steak and crispy shredded chicken. All wonderful and portions so big we had to ask for a doggy bag! - and for all that with two fried rice, a glass of wine for me and soft drink for him was only £30! Would have been even cheaper if we hadn't gone for two of the most expensive dishes on the menu.Only two criticisms, glass of wine was a bit titchy (but not over charged for), and that the "no prams" sign in the window suggests they are not family friendly - I found this to be the opposite. On the Thursday night we visited it was quiet and we got a table no problem. Previous reviewer suggests it can get busy. This doesn't surprise me given our very positive experience and that their takeaway area seemed to be going like a fair. After being asked to leave the Wotherspoons across the road where they waited nearly 10 minutes to tell us we were 10 minutes past last orders for children having initially invited us to sit anywhere, I can't exaggerate highly enough how comfortable we were made to feel at the Lee Palace. Thank you.
