Lebanese House in West Berkshire

The food was incredible! We had the set menu for 2. Everything that came out got explained to us. It was all so fresh. The staff couldn't have done enough for you and we're really welcoming. The only problem we had was the tables and chairs all felt very close to others where we were having to move and shift around a bit which was frustrating. It felt like they were trying to get as many people in as possible. Waiters hitting the back of your chair as they walked by but other than this we had a fantastic experience and the decor was lovely too. Would highly recommend.

These guys are brilliant! I had lunch yesterday as there isn't any good places in newbury for Sunday lunch that is consistent, So i went here it was very busy which is nice to see as they are indepentant service bang on and food is 6 star in my eyes best pete 🙏

We go here when we can, mainly because all the food is made from fresh, nothing is bought in processed food and the foods flavour really shows. The service is always customer focused, the staff are always ensuring you have what you need even when they are full, thank you

Good and tasty food... and outside in the town centre we met the Town Crier announcing a special celebration! It's always a pleasure to eat here.

We stopped here on our way from the cotswolds back to the airport. The food was so delicious and the service was friendly and wonderful!

Amazing food as always. Lovely, efficient staff, no delays even though restaurant was full. Bit shocked at new decor and found it a bit bright and seemed smaller, preferred it the way it was but no boggy. We had mixed kebabs for main and breaded halloumi as starter, so delish and the flavours immense. Thank you for your hospitality, wonderful 😊

Absolutely amazing food and service on Christmas Day

8 of us had our annual meet up (we're not local anymore), never been here before but probably going to come again next Christmas. The food was really good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We all had the set menu to get a varied meal and everything was cooked and presented really well. I have recommended Lebanese House to all of my family that are still in the area.

What an amazing place. We visited on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation and they were very accommodating. The food is up there with the best I've had anywhere, cooked to perfection and healthy portions. Staff were amazing, really friendly and attentive. Will definitely return if in the area

We attended a family gathering yesterday afternoon to celebrate and dine, and the owners and staff were amazing: courteous, accommodating, with a warm welcome. This restaurant is an absolute gem, with delicately precise flavours and an authentic feel. From starters to mains - each dish served was to be relished and savoured, and stood its own, making an impression on us all. From the medley of the mixed grill to share (which included delicious lamb ribs) to the best falafel I probably have ever had, I will surely drop in, next time. Highly recommended. Well worth the drive to savour something really special here.

Brilliant flavors for our first time with Lebanese food, can't recommend highly enough. So nice to have a change from bar food and this does it with large meat portions and great service.

I came here with my baby last minute. We ordered takeaway for collection. Food was perfect. We had the kouzi. Only thing was we asked for disposable cutlery and they didn't have any.

By far the best Lebanese restaurant in the area! I've visited here multiple times and never had a bad thing to say. From the starters to the main course it all tastes great, with many choices to cover you on the repeat visits. If you can visit when it isn't busy its a chilled atmosphere, otherwise while it does get busy and you do see the staff hopping from table to table, they are still friendly/courteous. For anyone in the area who wants to try some authentic / tasty food I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Second visit. The food is excellent and they’d updated the decor since we last went. Service was good, but we really wish we’d have had more in the set meal. No one came away satisfied with the portion.

Probably one of the best Lebanese meals I've had! Succulent and well spiced mixed grill, the kibbeh were wonderful. Great service and location. We're not local but will definitely make it back, what a pleasant find!

Been here many time and always been fabulous (both food and service) this time we took our friend and were very disappointed with the quality of the felafel (dense, soggy and tepid). Somewhat embarrassed as I had ‘hyped up’ the quality of the food to him… I mentioned this to our waitress… within a minute a charming gentleman from the kitchen appeared and explained that the fryer obviously hadn’t been hot enough (hence the soggy dense felafel) and quickly presented me with a COMPLETE take away dinner… checked out a felafel on return journey ‘PERFECT’! WELL DONE THE LEBANESE HOUSE 💯 for customer service…

Being half Lebanese, I can safely say this is one of the best Lebanese restaurants I have been to in England, having tried many. I went with my family and we ordered baba ghanoush and hummus for starters. They both tasted very nice, however the portion was slightly small. For mains we ordered traditional Lebanese dishes: Kouzi, Lamb Dawood Bash, Moussaka stew with chicken and the falafel dish. These had lots of flavour and the portions were generous. Service was very good. Would go again!

I had a special mixed grill, it was quality and the kebabs melt in your mouth. They added 10% arrive charge to the bill which I don’t like but I paid it as service was great

Visitor to the area and just wandering around the town for inspiration. The smell of the cooking was an instant draw! Not to be disappointed by the food. Excellent!

We always ask each other at every place, out of 10? Mrs didn't hesitate to say 10 straight away. Very friendly staff that just didn't stop! Nicely decorated place, chilled music, busy with a good buzz of people. Loads of great menu options food and drink. The food was really good, well grilled meat, beautiful hummus, the okra stew was special. Thank you team - we had a great time!

Following contacting the restaurant prior to attending for a colleagues leaving do about my Gluten Free requirements I was informed to check their online menu. Nothing on the on line menu mentions Gluten Free options so I contacted again and was told nearly every meal could be made Gluten Free. I selected my meal and on the day it came with a side of NON Gluten Free pita bread. When it was placed down with my GF meal I asked and was told sorry it wasn't and there wasn't a GF option so not sure why it was brought and and if I hadn't of asked would have made me I'll if I had eaten it. I never received my drinks order even though I asked for it 3 times (a simple pineapple juice). The food was good but the service really let the place down and could have made me really ill.

Tucked away down a side alley in Newbury along with other restaurants and stores. There is an option to eat in or out, both equally well catered for. The team were professional, attentive and responsive to us from seating us at a table, offering food suggestions, serve and clearing the table and requests throughout our meal. The menu has good variety of starters, mains and desserts. The food was served promptly. The food was presented well and had good flavour and taste. Well worth a visit if you are in Newbury.

We arrived at a busy time of the evening. Suzanna quickly organized us a table outside. Our waitress was attentive but we did not feel rushed. Then order time arrived & so many options sounded amazing, thankfully our waitress assisted us with our choices, which was a huge help. We weren’t steered wrong, the food was amazing, great portion sizes, well prepared and delicious& the wine perfect. So thank you to Suzanna and the team. Perfect night out with friends

had some time to kill in newbury before catching a train. after a long day of driving i am so glad we stopped here. we shared the mezze and mixed grill for two which was absolutely lovely. mezze was plentiful and flavourful. mixed grill was succulent, well seasoned and varied. would happily recommend to anyone looking for a terrific dinner. lots of outside seating available. THE BAKLAVA IS SPECTACULAR-the best i’ve ever had

Had been recommended by many people and finally went yesterday and cannot wait to go back! Even without a booking, we were able to get a seat due to being early in the evening. The food was absolutely divine and the staff are amazing as well! The decor adds to the atmosphere perfectly and we cannot wait to go back with friends and also cannot recommend the Lebanese house enough!!!

Great fresh halal food. The tabouleh is lovely and get the skewer that is the size of a sultans sword!! Truly, the quality is impeccable.:)

On a stopoff for Friday dinner in Newbury, we found the Lebanese House tucked away, and got a table without booking. The food was great. staff were knowledgeable and attentive, reasonably priced. The overhead lighting is a bit bright, and just the wallights would make it a better experience., but otherwise a lovely meal an would recommend.

On a visit to Newbury we stumbled across this great little restaurant. My husband and son chose lamb meatballs, which they said were delicious, and my son's girlfriend and I had the house falafel. There were 6 falafel, houmous and salad. It was a generous portion and so fresh and tasty. The food was incredible. So tasty and authentic. The staff were friendly and super polite and the restaurant was busy, buzzy and had a lovely vibe. There is seating outside. So if you're after a quiet bite to eat, it might be worth choosing to sit in the courtyard.

Fantastic food and service. Can not wait to come back to Newbury and visit this restaurant again.
