Experiencia horrible, el trato de los camareros fue bueno, el producto parece bueno pero la preparación era horrible con un uso masivo del microondas para todo. Pedimos pimientos de Padrón, pequeños y sabrosos pero los que eran un poco más grandes venían crudos, la tortilla parecía hecha con patatas cocinadas el día anterior, dura y sin sabor, las berenjenas (plato especial) no estaban mal pero al hacerlas en el microondas pierden sabor y se enfrían enseguida y lo peor las fabes con almejas (plato especial), las habas pequeñas y duras, mal cocinadas, y casi sin almejas. Le comenté lo malas que estaban las habas al camarero y me dijo que las iba a quitar de la factura pero no lo hizo. Totalmente desaconsejable.

We went to Laxeiro after a long time, it seems they doing a great job with the staff as there is new ,super professsional and very friendly. We had gambas al ajillo ,paella and some more tapas,every dish better than the previous, the spanish guy jaime was superb, the new manager aparently but super attentive. We defo coming back and recomend it.

We visit London several times per year, and this has to be our best find so far. Everything about the place is superb: most importantly, the food is top-level tasty; the service is both prompt and informative; and the atmosphere is just the right blend of buzz and relaxed. Roll on our next visit!

Couldn’t fault Laxeuro, the service was friendly and helpful throughout. The food was good quality and plentiful for the price, and the ambience was really nice too - busy, with a good local vibe without feeling cramped and noisy. We’ll be back!!

One of my favourite restaurants in London! Food is delicious, service is very fast and the staff is always so friendly. We’ve been going for years now and still love it!

Went on a Sunday morning as a stop after wandering around the flower market. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant itself is nice to be inside of. I personally had the Spanish breakfast which left a bit to be desired in terms of quantity and quality. It consisted of a chorizo sausage, a quite dry Spanish omelette and some tomato toast. My partner had eggs Benedict with cured ham which she loved and added a Spanish twist to a classic. We will probably be back at some point to try out dinner since the specials listed on the board looked delicious.

Super super super tasty! The loveliness starts as soon as you walk in. The staff are super friendly and keen to help. They also appreciate if you bring your dog! Food is extremely authentic and perfectly prepared. Highlights are the Gambas and Bravas. Highly recommend!

We ordered two flat white and omg terrible like the coffee pre barista time/era, this was a terribly made old school coffee with milk, with nothing in common with a "flat white" rename it for what you serve not a product you cannot deliver please.

We came here with a reservation for a birthday dinner for 4. We had a large selection of their dishes, including some of their brand new specials! We started with a Surtido de Embutidos cured meat platter, which was freshly cut and delicious with the Manchego cheese, could be better with honey or a jam with it. To drink we had a jug of refreshing sangria and a homemade lemonade (very acidic). We had a selection of tapas plates, from the menu, the padron peppers, the barbecue courgettes with rosemary manchego and honey, the seafood and chicken paella, cauliflower florets and the iberico pork shoulder (bbq’d and sliced, tasted wonderful and soft, well seasoned, great presentation). From the brand new specials board we had the iberico pork cheeks with sweet potato purée (delicious but could have had more seasoning on the pork and we thought the serving size was too small) and the roast pumpkin with parsnip purée (fabulous flavour). For dessert we had the churros con chocolate and the cheesecake. Awesome little restaurant with great atmosphere, especially with the fabric serviettes and good quality cutlery. Would recommend a reservation, just note we were limited to 1 hour 45 on a Friday night due to back to back bookings.

Even though we had a 9pm booking and arrived over an hour early, they managed to fit us in on a very busy Saturday. The food was outstanding. The vegetables were just as tasty as the fish and meat options (the barbequed courgette was a particular favourite) and the wine, although on the pricey side, was delicious. The service was spot on, neither too invasive but always there just when you wanted them. The food also came out in a quick fashion, so you never felt you were waiting too long for dishes.

All the dishes were delicious and the servers are all so friendly. It's a small restaurant but fills up quickly. My favorites are the bbq pork shoulder, pork belly, bbq octopus, and the serano croquettes.

Beautiful family owned Spanish restaurant. The food was really nice and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Food came in and out very quickly. The pan tumaca and the sardines were soo good! Definitely recommend visiting

Fantastic atmosphere, very cosy and welcoming. Waiters (I think his name was Ismael and the girl… we couldn’t catch her name) both went above and beyond, and the owner Isabel also came to our table to have a chat with us; very nice people that make you feel like family. Top top quality good, everything is beyond delicious: croquettes are exquisite, so is the calamari and the octopus (cook to perfection) no to mention the pan tumaca, rosemary potatoes and Tarta de Santiago… simply delicious. Ah! don’t forget to order sangria… OMG, delicious . If you are looking for authentic Spanish food, this the place; you will feel transported to the north of Spain in the blink of an eye. We will definitely come back.

Pan Tumaca: Very good. Perhaps a touch less of olive oil, but very nice. Croquetas: Very good. The ones filled with jamon are better than the chicken ones though. Tortilla: Perfect. Not overcooked, with the centre still liquid, which is how every tortilla should be made. Albondigas: Nice and juicy, with a properly-made sauce. Could perhaps do with a tiny bit more salt, and maybe one more meatball would've been nice. Presa Ibérica: Very good. Nice char and good flavour. Churros con Chocolate: decent. It's hard to find proper churros in the UK - these definitely hit the mark. Personally I'd skip the cream and serve the churros separately as they got slightly soggy. Chocolate could be slightly thicker for my liking, but definitely a properly made hot chocolate, which cannot be said for most places in the UK. Overall: nice atmosphere in a quaint neighbourhood. Tap water was properly cold, which is a big plus for such a hot summer day. Service was great, and as a Spanish person, I'd say that the food is quite authentic, and is at a great price for the quality you're getting, especially in London. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes!

You can never go wrong. The best Spanish food in the east, as well as wonderful team of bright souls. Perfect spot for dates ;) We are and drank a lot (8plates and 6 drinks hahaha) and only spent £60 per person. WELL WORTH THE MONEY

Had another amazing lunch here yesterday - not local to us but we’ll worth the trip! Lovely Spanish tapas style food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

It is rare for such a busy restaurant to offer such great service and delicious food. Especially in a very touristy area. I loved my Avo on toast. Coffee was great. And the service and smile. Having my own food service business, I understand how everything needs to be so well orchestrated and for the front of house to be so welcoming and helpful was fantastic. I definitely recommend anyone who visits the Columbia St Flower Market to stop by and enjoy a meal here.

Very tasty and quality food, the atmosphere is super nice, the staff friendly. The only negative is that we have been kicked out after 2h as they needed our table for another booking, which is a pity especially with the amount of food we order.

Amazing food and service at a reasonable price

Lovely little family run Spanish restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, with a warm welcome and always a smile. The food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. My standout dishes were the Croquetas & Galician Pulpo a Feira. My least favourite item sadly was the Calamares a la Romana which were not crispy as I'd hoped. For dessert I'd recommend the Tarta de Queso - Cheesecake, which the waitress recommended as her favourite dessert. We did have to remind the staff for our cafe cafe bombón as they'd forgotten about it. I would recommend booking a table for the dinner service.

Found it by chance and were very glad we got a table. Service was brilliant from start to end. Bbq sardines were the best we've had in the UK and everything else we had was really well priced and well executed. Really made our Friday night and would definitely come back.

Soy española y a mi familia y a mi nos ha encantado este sitio. La comida estaba ríquisima y el personal muy agradable. Sin duda el mejor restaurante al que hemos estado de Londres. Si volvemos a Londres volvemos a este sitio claramente. Recomiendo la presa ibérica y las albóndigas.

We have been 8 days in London, and these restaurant is clearly the best. A good presa iberica, a good pisto manchego, a good tortilla de patata, a good sangria and a good albondigas,...we are tired eating burgers, pizzas, etc...and the personal with a incredible deal....is normal they get a 4,5 in google

Recientemente tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar de una cena en Laxerio, un restaurante gallego ubicado en Columbia road. Si bien mi experiencia fue en general satisfactoria, hubo algunos aspectos que considero importantes mencionar. Laxerio ofrece un menú simple pero variado que destaca por sus platos espanoles tradicionales. La comida en general estaba buena, pero debo admitir que me pareció un poco caro en relación a la calidad y porciones ofrecidas. Además, como amante del pulpo gallego, esperaba una preparación excepcional; sin embargo, encontré que el pulpo estaba ligeramente blando y faltaba ese punto de textura y sabor característico que esperaba encontrar en un auténtico restaurante gallego. A pesar de estos pequeños inconvenientes, recomendaría Laxerio a aquellos que deseen probar auténtica cocina gallega en el área. Aunque el pulpo no estuvo a la altura de mis expectativas, otros platos en el menú mostraron un potencial prometedor. La atención del personal fue amable y el ambiente del restaurante era acogedor. En resumen, Laxerio es un lugar con potencial para ofrecer una experiencia culinaria gallega más auténtica y satisfactoria. Si bien algunos aspectos, como el precio y la calidad del pulpo, pueden mejorar, recomendaría darle una oportunidad y explorar el resto de su variado menú gallego.

The jamon was not the usually delicious jamon you get in Spanish restaurants. We felt rushed off our table so didn’t really enjoy our evening :(

Delicious and authentic Spanish food, the croquetas were spectacular - warm, creamy and with an intense flavour. They had Estrella Galicia, one of my favourite beers from back home! The staff were friendly and attentive. It's a great place to just sit and enjoy some tapas and a drink on Columbia road.

Went in early June 2023 in the evening and was one of my favorite restaurant experiences. The Staff was some of the nicest people I've met, funny and extremely friendly. We had a table on the sidewalk, very calm evening car-wise (saw maybe three cars maximum). We drank amazing Sangria, I definitely recommend it. Ate octopus, iberico prok and paella, all were delicious. We had crème brulée for dessert which was perfect again. All in all a great evening!

Very good food, great location. We were served by three lovely friendly waiters. AND unfortunately: one extremely rude, obnoxious waiter who spent the whole night barking and snipping at people. Had a strong feeling he was the owner's son or nephew otherwise he would never get away with speaking to people like that. Kind of spoiled the atmosphere and the service.

We had a brilliant evening at Laxeiro. Everything was wonderful, staff couldn’t have done more for us and were genuinely really friendly, the food was TO DIE FOR and the vibes were all round great. After my second visit, I can say with confidence that this is my new favorite neighbourhood restaurant in East London! Wonderful atmosphere at this family-run local business, excellent service and authentic Spanish food make you want to come back on a regular basis! Great options for vegetarians and vegans too. Went there for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious, and the service perfect. I wish I would have given it a five start but was slightly irritated that service charge was added automatically to the bill. I would not have given less tips because the service was great but to me automatically charging is in contradiction with the principle of tipping.

Lovely little restaurant with super friendly service. It would have been 4 or 5 stars but all our food was over salted. Tasted as if the chef had sprinkled a load of sea salt over the top of everything. Such a shame as the food was great in every other way.

So much of our visit was great. It's a cute little restaurant, lovely quiet background music (unlike so many other places) and super friendly, helpful service. On top of that the prices were reasonable. We ordered a mix of dishes to share and a bottle of delicious white wine. The waitress didn't try to upsell us on anything - things were going great. And then the food arrived and it looked delicious...except that after a few minutes we realised every single dish was over salted. It tasted as if the chef had sprinkled a big dollop of sea salt in all of them. So what do you do? One dish an issue and you'd send it back, but all of them? We chickened out, ate what we could, paid and left. Such a shame, we wanted to love this place. Home we went to sit sadly and drink a load of water to combat the salt.

Dog friendly Spanish restaurant. Restaurante español en Londres desde 1982. Excelente la comida. Trato exquisito por parte de Eduardo como de Doña Isabel. He probado muchos restaurantes españoles en Londres puesto que vivo aquí y se echa de menos la comida de la tierra :) Para mí sin lugar a dudas este es el mejor, los cocineros son espanoles, super majos, y buenísimos en los fogones. Algunos ejemplos, el pisto casero con huevo súper bueno, las alcachofas, las croquetas, las bravas (con auténtica salsa brava, lo dice uno de Madrid jeje), la carne cocinada perfectamente... Y por si esto no fuera poco, dog-friendly. Acostumbramos a ir con nuestro perro y no le falta su cuenco con agua. En cuanto al precio, teniendo en cuenta lo que cuesta comer (bien) en Londres, creo que es más que aceptable. Repetiré!

Hmm…so we ate here as I know someone who lives locally and they recommended it. I would some dishes were good such as the pimientos and the croqueta de jamón. If you are a fan of desserts then the churros dish certainly looks the part. I can’t say for the taste as I’m gluten free. However given we ended up with a bill for £73 including a 12.5% service charge and that’s with no alcohol you would expect excellent and I mean excellent top quality tapas here and this was not the case. In particular the tortilla española was not light and fluffy and in parts dry and chewy. It makes you wonder whether this was just re-heated in a microwave. The asparagus was nice enough but at £10 for x4 asparagus you feel somewhat hard done by. The staff were friendly and they did frequently check in on us. However, be even before we sat down they informed us we could only have the table for 1.5 hours and before we even asked for it, we were presented us with a bill immediately following our dessert. It was made quite clear they wanted us out. I do get it; post pandemic getting in as many covers as you can and again that wouldn’t even be noticed if all dishes were huge crowd pleasers. Overall I’d say the experience was fine but for the price tag and the quality of food I’m not sure fine cuts it. I think you would just consider going elsewhere in future which is sadly what I’ll do.

Solid lunch. The chicken was good, great sauce and nut topping. The saffron lamb stew and bacon+cheese toast were solid too. Everything was just a tiny bit over-olive-oily and heavy tho!

Just had a very nice lunch in here. Service genuine, relaxed and attentive. Generous serving of bread and oil and the BBQ courgettes with manchego was light and tasty. Homemade lemonade was sharp and fresh. Would come back for sure.

The food was exceptional; fluffiest and moistest big Chickpeas I've ever had! The vegetarian options were all tempting, I went with the vegan option. Very good churros. Staff were lovely and seated us even though we didn't have a reservation (book ahead!). A sign on the door declared they are welcoming to LGBTQIA people which was lovely to see. Not a budget option but it's great quality Spanish cuisine with a good atmosphere and friendly staff, well worth a try.

Stumbled across when visiting the flower market. I thought the food was exceptional, my friend and I are vegetarian and the choice was excellent. Staff were friendly and happy and was a lovely atmosphere inside. I asked the owner if he had just opened - he said been there for 41 years! Def gojng back loved it !

My friends and I have not had such a memorable evening as we had here last Thursday. The dishes were perfectly sized and priced and totally delicious, the room itself was cozy and charming. But it was the wonderful ladies who attended to our needs who pushed the evening into the spectacular zone. Nicer, more pleasant and more helpful people you will never find.

What a great time I had in Laxeiro, all the staff members did a super great job, lovely atmosphere and ambiance!! I had the chance to try amazing wines, great great food and the chance to be served by Solange, Natalia and Daisy! I’ll be returning and for sure recommend it to friends! Fantastic Spanish food at an east London institution. Highly recommend for locals and visitors to the area!

I was meeting with a friend who lives in east London and they suggested this restaurant, which turned out to be an excellent suggestion. Although we both spotted pretty early that both the serving staff on the evening we visited were Portuguese. They did assure us that the chefs were from northern Spain. We met early and had the restaurant to ourselves for a while but by the time we left the place had filled up and was buzzing. I started with a Rebujito and my pal had Orujo which was not on the menu but they spotted the bottle on the counter. We also had some wonderful Padron Peppers while we were deciding what to eat. I found out later that this is one of the best Spanish restaurants in London for paella but we stuck to small plates. Eventually we settled on some croquetas, gambas al ajillo, tortilla, and artichokes with smoked idiazabal cheese. All the food was delicious and portions generous so we did not finish everything. We were able to sit and eat and drink for a good couple of hours while we were catching up on each others’ news, we did not feel hurried at all although the service was very attentive. I really enjoyed the food so it is definitely worth the trip out to this part of east London.
