Amazing location, in the hub of the marina!! With a lovely atmosphere and gift shop with plants and beautiful gifts! The brownie and chai latte was delicious!! Will definitely be coming again! X

It's an amazing place to hang out and have food or work. I have been there many times and even had business meetings, and it is always pleasant; the food is fresh and delicious.

A cosy spot with a great selection of savoury and sweet foods (loads of vegan options!) which are delicious. Definitely coming here again!

Visited a couple of times for their coffee and sandwiches/cakes. All very tasty. A nice surprise given most of the places to eat at the marina are chain restaurants. This one is independent and really nice quality and atmosphere. Recommended!

Perfect coffee and loose leaf tea. My partner had avocado on toast and I had a breakfast bagel. Both were excellent, well cooked and tasty. The other dishes, we saw, and the menu looked very good as well.

One of our favourite places to pop in for coffee and something something light to eat or a breakfast. Great range of food, cakes, drinks or ice cream! Lovely crafty Arty gift shop to browse around. Although we don't have a dog, it's nice to see a dog friendly place in this area! Overall atmosphere is very relaxed and peaceful and the staff are always friendly and accommodating, prices are average for Brighton and of course the coffee is always perfect!

We visited the marina to try the globalls golf. Having played we were looking for some where to shelter from the bitterly cold wind. Coming from an area where chains are common place we were looking for somewhere a little different. This café met the bill. There was a good choice on the menu and we quickly found something which appealed to us. I had the vegan sandwich toasted which was absolutely delicious. My father in law chose poached eggs with smoked salmon which he devoured very quickly! All staff were very friendly and the food came fairly quickly even though it was busy. The café is very dog friendly, even providing treats for the dogs. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We love this cafe, having been a few times in the past. We popped down to the cafe for a coffee, while staying at the Marina over Christmas. I only had a coffee - I do think for the cost it should be a larger cup, but it is lovely. Both hubby & son opted for the lemon cake, good size slice and was delicious (son couldn't manage it all & it would've been rude to leave it!). Still great staff.

Although the atmosphere is lovely, the food was inadequate, asked for poached eggs on toast with avocado, avocado was not on there, when I got it, it was rock hard, couldn’t smash it even if I wanted to, shame really. Another had a big dog breakfast, tomatoes weren’t nice, halloumi not grilled properly, beans were overcooked, and bacon tasted funny. It’s a shame really.

It was a wet Sunday so we decided we'd mooch round the marina. And we'd heard good things about this place. Plus we had the dog and the whole place is dog friendly. In fact it might be better described as human friendly as the dogs seem to be a star attraction. Service was friendly, though a bit chaotic at times. That said, there were none of the delays some people have spoken of. Coffee arrived quickly and was very strong, as we like it. Sandwiches, whilst not the cheapest in town, were excellent and very filling. The ham and cheese was very good and with some options to pimp it up. The cakes looked excellent but we didn't have room after the sandwiches. There's also a very nice gallery attached. The marina has never quite managed to be the destination it could be, unless it's for chains, the cinema, the undercliff or the Sunday market. But it was good to find an independent that made the visit worthwhile.

We rarely visit Brighton Marina but were looking for a coffee on a wet Monday morning. The cafe looked quietly busy and welcoming. We had a lovely coffee and enjoyed our visit with a look around the gifts & gallery. The food choices looked good and from a distance looked great (when delivered to our neighbours!). Thinking about how we can visit again.

As in the title. Having been out by boat to the Wind Farm we were in need of a late afternoon snack. Had the Brighton Breezy and the Ham&Cheese.; Both toasted. Absolutely scrumptious. And a nice cup of Joe as well. Recommended.

We came for a family lunch (with our dog, of course!). The food was wholesome, excellent variety and the ice-creams (jam doughnut, white chocolate & honeycomb) were to die for. Thoroughly recommend this place. Chilled out, free Wi-fi and gift shop included. Of course, the dog enjoyed the free biscuit too!

Lovely restaurant in Brighton Marina. Named after a lovely golden retriever dog, who happened to be sitting outside the fishing tackle shop adjacent to the restaurant...I'm informed he wanders around the small area near to the restaurant, paying visits to the other shops in the area. Although, I believe he's getting on in years!

Sterile setting in the Marina but worth not being put off. Laid back atmosphere. Order at the counter and someone brings you your food. Canteen style layout, long tables and benches, with some comfy seats.

My boyfriend and I visited the Laughing Dog while in Brighton after being recommended to it by our air B and B host. We were not disappointed! We had to wait a while for the food but were informed of a wait and we could see they were busy so this was no issue. The food was beautiful and nicely presented and they altered my order for my fussy needs which was nice. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely return when in the area again! I sat here at lunchtime with friends, outside in the sun. We had a nice snacky lunch - I had a good egg and bacon bagel. A range of teas are available. The service was good and friendly. As has been pointed out in other reviews, you have to watch out for the seagull, and if it's windy, your crisps will get blown away.

Nice food , great coffee and pleasant staff , You will find this cafe in a very nice square with a water fountain in the Marina Village , there is outside seating but beware of the greedy seagull that sits on the roof nearby , it will try and grab your food and as been known to steel childrens ice cream , there is a labrador that wonders around lovely dog and frendly , the toilets and inside area is clean , well worth a visit.

Decent coffee and 'smashed avocado' available. The Laughing Dog is a great venue for brunch. Last time we went I had a 'siracha' a toasted halloumi and avocado sandwich.

Based in a courtyard just outside the Marina it’s worth a visit. Lots of tables, we sat outside as it was a good weather. Cakes and a drink. There is also an art shop inside selling prints and other bits, some is not bad.

The cafe was okay, but not sure I would bother to go there again. The large coffee was only the same size as Nero or Costa standard and not particularly hot. The staff were not particularly friendly.

Lovely venue, menu and Bandit (the owners white Golden Retriever). Beautifully stocked with art and gifts to purchase. Menu is filled with healthy options, great ingredients and preparation that even the fussiest of diners should be satisfied by. Highly recommended

Chalk and cheese from The Cherry Tree around the corner, this place served me a perfect flat white and an amazing “Hangover Bagel” - sesame seed bagel packed with crispy streaky bacon, balsamic tomatoes and a poached egg. Seriously delicious..

I’m currently staying in Brighton as my Mother is undergoing Heart Surgery and haven’t been to Brighton in over 45yrs. So having a wander around I came across this inviting cafe and felt drawn to visit. Well I certainly wasn’t disappointed it was just the ticket. Was greeted with a lovely young lady ( sorry I didn’t get to ask your name ) brown hair and slim. I had smashed avocado and poached eggs along with a pot of tea. The food is freshly prepared and presented beautifully.

We took our dog here again for lunch, telling him he was going to the doggy cafe, he was very excited and when we went in there were four other dogs already there! He was in heaven and we went round saying hello to them all.

A very good gift shop with different gifts and cards situated in half of the cafe building. Look out for the lovely Golden retriever in the morning if you are there. A nice shop to browse in.

Well as I’m now having to watch what I eat (fat boy), I heard of the restaurant/shop/ bar and although the cosiest artisan restaurant I’ve been too the breakfast was very different from what I would normally eat it was very nice

A lot of cafes and restaurants at Brighton Marina so plenty of competition. This one stands out because of its combination of cafe, shop and art gallery. Service and choice of light meals excellent and prices are reasonable (for Brighton!).

What a fabulous gem of a place. Very friendly and helpful staff. They even were prepared to cook some eggs for my doggy. Dogs welcome inside and out with plenty of water around for our pooches. The food was outstanding. I had the veggie dog breakfast one day and the hangover bagel the next (so far!). Very tasty indeed. Will be calling each day of our holiday here.

What a lovely surprise...there is a shop selling ‘made in Brighton’ products, including pieces of beautifully crafted and unique gifts. I arrived early to meet two friends for a coffee and had a wander round. The staff in the shop and café were smiling and welcoming. Nobody was pressuring to sell either in the shop or café. We ordered once we were all there and went to sit outside in the sunshine. The coffee was good and arrived in hot. A lovely hour or so spent chatting. We are very likely to go again!
