Lansdowne Hotel in Belfast

The restaurant manager came over placed a card on our table at 7.30pm informing us that the table was now booked and we had 20 mins to leave our table. I was then informed that every other table was booked for food, which it clearly wasn't. The manager made no attempt to accommodate us in any way, a night cut short. If the Ldowne is a restaurant, make it clear to avoid people like myself walking in for a drink to have their night ruined.

Great night at the bar until dinner was served, served out of date fish which was replaced with a new meal we went to our room and were accused of smoking in a non smoking room The bar services was next to none but the bouncers were a disgrace will not be back!!

AVOID. The food is quite basic , yet very expensive. My partner had a vegetarian option that was cold and small in portion, she was left hungry. The desserts were ok at best. Service was pleasant but very hard to find, we went on a Sunday and while busy wasn’t rammed. If it had been better value I wouldn’t be writing this review, but as it stands we will not be returning. We last came in March 2020, and it was diabolical, we had heard it had got better but not worth a third visit.

We ate in the bar rather than restaurant. I cab see the attraction given the all night entertainment but we were sat at a long table right in front of the stage. It was loud and hard to speak to each other during dinner though good after dinner was over. The table also feels like you're somewhat in the way of people moving around. We were a bit late being seated (booked for 7pm, seated by 7.10pm). We waited at least 20 min for our food order to be taken and food did not arrive until 8.40pm. I've never waited so long for food. They said sorry, we had a table of 40 to serve before you. We were a table of 13. I had fish and chips. The batter on the fish was lovely. The 10 chips we a stingy serving. O would rather have real mushy peas than a line of green liquid on my plate. And there was no lemon as stated. My husband's pepper sauce was lovely but the serving didn't look like very much and his steak was cold. All in all I find the food to be over priced. Particularly for steaks. A box of cutlery was set at one end of the table rather than at each seat so food got cold while all of that was passed around. No drinks were offered at all yet servers were going to other tables. The car parking is awful. They really need more. Overall I find the Landsdowne over rated for food but can see its a good spot for the music

If your thinking of having a Xmas work dinner here think again absolutely terrible from the start we got to our table at 7pm and eventually finished eating a 3 course meal at 10.30 not only was some of the food wrong but also cold aswel, we opted for drinks instead of an over night stay that didn't happen, drink was spilt on a dinner by accident and the manger wasn't going to change it even tho one of our party didn't turn up so technically there was a dinner spare for our table, entertainment was also shocking no Xmas music etc while dinner wad being served. Over all seems like staff didn't have a clue what they were doing, im not a fussy person but this was the worst Xmas Dinner set up I have been too AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Great place for a meal, staff friendly & attentive, well priced, we had the steak frite & smoked haddock, beautifully cooked, good atmosphere & ambience, would happily recommend

I’ll start with the good! Went for a catch up with friends, menu limited, but food was beautiful (sweet potato wedges are stunning), atmosphere cosy and pleasant, the guy serving the drinks to the table was so friendly and a good laugh! However, one member of staff let the whole place down which is so sad. From the moment she sat us at the table, it was as if we were one big giant inconvenience. As soon as we sat “any drinks?” to which we asked for a drinks menu “we don’t have one”, “ehh not even a cocktail menu?” She got us a cocktail menu and stood over the table while we tried to read it and decide - awkward. Every interaction with her after was just the same, awkward, miserable, unfriendly. yet the other staff were all funny, happy and pleasant (thank you!). The bill was then dumped on our table by the same staff member without even asking for it, we wanted another round of drinks and had to ask the friendly bar guy “are we ok to order another drink” confused as to why we felt we were being rushed out (still plenty of people in the restaurant). He let us know it was not a problem and happy to get us another round. As we chatted with our last drinks the miserable staff member came over with the card machine, with a not so subtle “pay your bill” again still plenty of people still in the restaurant. This just made all of us a little flustered and awkward and her general “why am I here attitude” unnecessary. If your going to work in hospitality be hospitable! For me this would really put me off going back to the restaurant, which is a shame as the food was decent and all the other staff pleasant and warm.

The worst experience I've ever had waited for aver an hour for the staff too take our order for drinks the food was the worst food I've ever had prawns were disgusting had the flank steak frites. Was absolutely disgusting tasted like I'd drank a bottle of vinegar they had marinated it in balsamic vinegar how any chef would think putting balsamic vinegar on steak would be palatable obviously doesn't have a clue what there doing .they really need to change there menu and get themselves a good restaurant manager . Needless to say I won't be going back for a meal and would not recommend to friends

The manager of this place violently threatened me, got in my face and spoke very rudely towards me… wrongfully accusing me of an incident with her staff, which when I asked where are the cameras as this never happened she got more aggressive toned towards me, this manager had shouted at me, while she was shouting she had spat on me and wouldn’t let me speak to express my side of what happened the previous time I was there ( which there was no altercation neither had I spoken with ‘her staff’). She singled me out the first time I was there and when I had went yesterday she done the same thing. Both times this woman who I do not know has targeted me simply because I am transgender. Hateful, bullying, aggressive staff at this hotel… may I add I have been getting stalking for 4 years by one of her members of staff who I was raped by (which I’ve never said about until now) and all she had to say is ‘he is not apart of this’. RAPISTS, BULLIES, HOMOPHOBIC AND TRANSPHOBIC PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN PUBLIC

What lovely surroundings and superb food. Exceptional value for money. Massive portions and to top it all friendly attentive staff. Would highly recommend 😊

Where do I start? My mum booked here for a meal Sunday 9th of October for a table of 14 for Sunday dinner We went here to check it out as my brother and his fiance wanted to get married here as it is local etc safe to say we ran a mile and would never return We arrived where seated by staff Gave our order after we asked the waiter to take it and the food arrived an hour later most meals were cold I went to the loo and the tap exploded all over my clothes resulting in being absolutely drenched I made a complaint about the tap and my clothes being drenched a girl waiter laughed and said what tap which I explained to her she replied on right and walked off! We asked for dessert menu and then decided we would leave My mum made a compliant on the way out and the recipients said to my mum there is no way you waited an hour! Their attitudes are stinking and we will never return Definitely do NOT recommend this hotel Shame really as we never complain but this hotel has rude staff with slow service and they clearly do not know how to handle a complaint! We will never be back!!

Brought a friend for a meal, had battered haddock which would've broken the windows if thrown. Friend had veg cauliflower with chips, bland. Staff were great, we complained but no outcome. Very disappointed

Booked a table for 4 for a Sunday before Christmas and when we got to the door were advised there was a limited menu as there was an issue in the kitchen. We had no where else to go so agreed to go ahead with the booking. An hour and 10 minutes later we got our dinner. 3 burgers and chips that were fine and chicken with mashed potatoes, onion rings and pepper sauce. This dish had obviously been sitting for a while as the edges of the chicken were dry and the sauce had dried around the edge of the bowl that the meal was served in. We decided not to complain as we had waited so long, however I then noticed there was bacon in the mash....as I don't eat red meat I definitely wouldn't have ordered this. I spoke to a staff member who brought me a new fresh meal minus the bacon. A few days later I emailed to say we should have been given the option to rebook earlier when they realised there was an issue and never got a reply. I remailed a few weeks later and am still waiting. Today we thought we would try again....won't be back. Front of house staff all lovely and very busy. My chicken burger was cold and the chips were overcooked. 2nd chance was given and there won't be a third.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at The Lansdowne Hotel. The breakfast was really good and plenty of it, great staff - really friendly, vibrant bar and good drink selection with live music in the evening, tasty evening meal. Room was comfortable with selection of toiletries- only slight negative was slightly dated room and cleaning not tip top.

Fantastic two night stay at the Lansdowne! Very friendly and professional staff from reception to bar/restaurant. Breakfast, evening meal and dessert was delicious. Even the live music gets a 5 star! The room was spotless and heating just right. Thanks for a lovely stay Edwina & Richie

Visited Landsdowne Hotel on Saturday 19/2/22 with family. Excellent food, great cocktails and entertainment first class! We all had a very enjoyable afternoon/night and will definitely be back for more. Very relaxed atmosphere and great staff!

So last Thursday evening after a local horse riding session with my 2 daughters we stopped here for some food. I have been a customer of the Lansdowne, old and new, for about 12 years. It's was 6:05 in the evening. My daughters are 9 and 10. We were excited as the small plates we had 2 weeks before were fab. On arrival to the bar we waited to be seated. A dark skinned waiter approached us. I said we wanted a table for the 3 of us for bar food. He then proceeded to go over and chat to a young blonde lady (I think she was a manager/supervisor). We stood a good 6/7 minutes while he faffed about talking to all the staff. I felt like we were 3 aliens or something standing there. He returned and refused us a table because of my daughter's. Stating that "because of them" (while pointing his finger) we would have to eat in the restaurant. I stated that we come at this time most Thursdays after horse riding. Also I might add that there was a boy no more than 10 EATING in the bar. Now I have been born and bred in Ireland and never in my life have I heard of someone been turned away at 6 o clock for food. I do not drink nor are my girls ever brought in the company of alcohol. The atmosphere was purely people eating at that time. We visited purely for our dinner. Do u have a no children policy at 6pm? We were so embarrassed and my daughter cried her eyes out in the car. It was shameful and uncalled for the way it was handled.

Primero llamó mi cuñado (acento inglés) y le colgaron el teléfono. Luego intentamos nuevamente con mi compañero llamando (nuevamente acento inglés), el teléfono colgó nuevamente.Luego llamé (acento irlandés del norte) y pude reservar una mesa con bastante facilidad.No es de extrañar que al final hayamos elegido ir al centro de la ciudad y haber tenido una gran noche, haber visto lo mejor de la gente de Belfast y haber tenido una comida mucho mejor de lo que sospecho que habríamos recibido en Lansdowne.Decepcionado por decir lo menos. ¡Lo sabré para la próxima!

£40 ahead for carvery today (don't mind paying that amount) but the starter soup i had was so bland and cold..got the turkey and ham and trimmings i can just say i could'nt say any of it was nice.. got cake and custard.. custard was cold the staff were attentive but looked very sombre..

I have eaten here a few times from the landsdown has reopened as it’s local. I must say last week I had to send my risotto back as it was cold. The menu reads a lot tastier than it actually is. The staff are great and on the ball. Pity as would love a great local restaurant

Have at least one veggie main that is customisable for vegans at night and a vegan option for dessert, fantastic for me and food is deserving of a very good rating. Unfortunately breakfast substandard was served putrid black avocado on toast one morning that was clearly well past it's serving date and so had to send it back.

I make no excuse the last time I reviewed this venue I was disappointed......well folks I can honestly say what an improvement.The food was lovely piping hot plates all table served together. Dairyfree not a problem. Choice wide and varied.Decorations were classy not tacky. Then came the entertainment a lovely group of men singing mo town. Had my filming skills been better I would have put up a clip.I am tee total so had my wits about me and can honestly say this is a great improvement and now will visit again

Called in off the cuff to what would be be local. Really impressed with the new layout of the bar and restaurant. Staff were really helpful and polite...great craic after a few free cocktails too. Would highly recommend for a quiet drink, some food or even a weekend out

My daughter and I stayed here as we were attending a show in the city which my niece was starring in so it was a nice treat to stay over. The surroundings are lovely in the hotel reception and bar, the hotel rooms are average for the price, however it is unfortunately the staff who give this place it’s poor reputation. Everything from our check-in experience when an extremely rude lady called us “awkward” and rolled her eyes when we asked if it was possible to request a room which wasn’t situated over the bar to the restaurant staff who did not crack as much as a smile. We felt so uncomfortable that we finished our starters and went into town for dinner before the show. I wish I had listened to my local friends who warned us not to expect the warm, family atmosphere that The Lansdowne was once known for.

Used to come here a lot before, however new management have ruined its great reputation. I’ve been in it once since it has been taken over and the staff all look miserable which shows with the poor service we received. We were welcomed with a complete lacklustre attitude by waiting staff when taking our order, we nearly felt like we were an inconvenience! Our drinks were slammed in front of us, the pint spilling and not even as much as an apology. When we had finished, plates were lifted and we weren’t offered the dessert menu, nor tea or coffee. After ten minutes of waiting I had to go up to the bar to ask for the bill and was ignored then given a nod. Such a shame that this has happened to such a fabulous establishment. I’m afraid we won’t be back.

Tried The Lansdowne for Sunday lunch as it’s local. Heard mixed reviews from family, friends and local people. Arrived about 1.30pm found a table in the bar at the window. Waitress came over promptly and took drinks order. As we sat waiting I read trip advisor reviews which were not all good.

Called here with family too have a look round and on first impression was amazed a the turn around in decor alone.

We are local to North Belfast and had heard such awful things about things about this place from former staff who have made a lucky escape and disappointed customers, decided to give it a go and see what the hype was about. Welllllll.... what a fiasco of a visit, after ditching the kids at nanny & grandads because no kids after 4!!! We were standing around for 35 minutes waiting for a table, asked a waitress who later identified herself as the manager if she could find us a booth, she laughed in our faces and said “do you realise how busy we are? You’ll have to grab what u can see and you’ll be lucky to get anything” and ran off smirking.. bizarre interaction. Finally got a small table with awkward stools and crammed 4 of us around when the table is basically big enough for 1. Ordered cocktails. Expensive & nothing fancy. Took near 20 mins to come! Still hadn’t been given menus! Asked twice! Ordered 12 of the tapas. Dry reheated and flavourless. Congealed dried out minuscule cuts of meat and flimsy skinny wings. Nobody checked to see were we enjoying our raw chips. Didn’t bother staying for dessert as the music was so loud we couldn’t even have a conversation. Paid a fortune for utter garbage and fled. Staff seem rushed off their feet and absolutely miserable which matches the word going around Belfast and Facebook anyway. Beautiful layout is the only compliment we have, but what a chaotic and poorly organised business. Won’t be back. Ever. Don’t waste your money. Much nicer places and food for less money and your kids can actually go elsewhere with you. Banging music and staff on verge of tears. Boycott until they sort the place. A well known landmark and long standing business being run into the ground for a quick buck by a has-been movie star.

Had lunch yesterday. Got the chicken burger with chips. Burger was fantastic although our chips undercooked and had to be returned but server dealt with this efficiently. I decided on the Eton tidy for dessert, what can I say, bad decision! This consisted of 2 strawberries cut in half with approximately 4 blackberries and 8 blueberries neatly arranged on sauce and 2 squirts of cream with about 7 mini meringues in centre of plate. Looked nice however for £6, yes you read right, I would be giving this dessert a miss in future.

We ate here on a Sunday lunch time, main bar. Very poor quality of food. Mixed plate selection, reheated terrible quality food. Roast turkey, had to ask for it to be heated. Turkey (before being reheated) was shocking. Slices were curling up with dryness. No cranberry sauce. No gravy. Had to ask for both. Nobody checked the table to see if everything was ok.

Ordered a variation of the small plates on 2 occasions and the options for vegetarian is Simply Bland Boring Unimaginative and poor value for money

Visited last weekend for the Sunday carvery. Service was very good and we were given drinks quickly. The buffet itself is large and varied with everything being good quality. The meat selection was excellent and sooooo delicious. The beef was cooked to perfect and all the sides were warm and tasty. Lastly the desserts were AMAZING! Everything seemed freshly made and was very good. We left stuffed to the gills! Will be back soon for some more of that beautiful roast beef!

Only fault was the music was unsuitable for the age group and also too loud.

We called in recently and the hotel and bar look amazing. The waiter and waitress who brought our drinks to us were very friendly and quick to bring the drinks . There were three of us and we decided to order the small plates. So in total there were 11 small plates ordered. The steak was like steak pieces so tough, the bruschetta with tomatoes was like something from Iceland as was the bruschetta with duck, the buffalo wings looked anaemic we asked for a portion of onion rings and asked the waitress are they definitely freshly made and not frozen and she assured us they were! They weren’t they definitely were frozen. Freshly made onion rings come in different shapes and uneven these were perfectly formed circles. Again we asked about the French fries were they handmade and were assured again they were. These were like McDonalds chips. We called the waitress over and told her and she was lovely and took all of the food away one bite was taken from some plates. We were not charged for food at all which was excellent so we had our drinks and left never to return.

5star cocktails from a lil ginger dude behind the bar.. toilets squeaky clean function room above 5star and if staying,pay the extra buck book the bridal suite as I've never seen or been in anyroom as nice from the MGM grand to Harvey's point. #thisistheplace

First time going to a carvery in years and have to say The Landsdowne didnt disappoint

Called in last week for some breakfast and how awful it was and so extremely disappointing. 2 Poached eggs 1 slice of sourdough, smashed avocado which said it had chilli and lime which we couldn't see nor taste either and a few vine/cherry tomatoes. No garnish on plate 7.50 for that!!! More plate than food.. That seemed to be a bother to the chef as the eggs came out hard boiled after waiting 25mins, other dishes weren't great either the beans on the fry were cold and sausages too. Hubby was on way to work so ate and left and we had to wait a further 20mins until the chef redone ours. Wasn't checked on when the second dish came back. Eggs were raw. It was just so disappointing. Pancakes were ok. The 2 girls that we dealt with were nice but they did seem to be run off their feet. Won't be back for breakfast anytime soon which is a pity as we are walking distance. Staff got a Manager to take 2 dishes off but not 1 manager came near us to apologise. We both work in hospitality and thought this was a little bad form.

I have eaten here on 7 occasions since it reopened. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Myself and other half decided to book a table for dinner as soon as the resturant opened on a Saturday evening as that was the only time available and the service from the staff was almost perfect.

Delighted to see the Landsdowne open again and the owners have done a great job on the renovations with a high end finish. Unfortunately this has not followed through with the food.

An amazing little gem of a hotel from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Staff were so friendly and from bar staff to reception staff and cleaners.

booked in for 1 night stay 21/9/19 chose to eat in the bar great food live entertainment at 6:20pm the place was full great atmosphere staff friendly service excellent portions of food great . returned later at 11:00pm still live music the place was packed love this place next time up in belfast i shall come here had breakfast here in the morning Ulster fry prepared fresh superb no hot plates with food piled up good quality produce maple bacon/herb sausages great breakfast

We ate in the restaurant on five consecutive evenings. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was consistently tasty, well cooked and well served. They had a good selection of beer. We had fun doing the quiz night and enjoyed the singers.

AVOID!!! Do not step foot in here , 2nd time I’ve been in the Lansdowne now and both times were very very shocking! Rude staff and Very poor food

Having recently moved to the North of the city, my other half and I decided to check out the Lansdowne Hotel for a mid week evening meal treat and we were not disappointed!!

Recently renovated, the Lansdowne looks fantastic. The owners have clearly invested to make the Lansdowne a Premier bar/restaurant and hotel in North Belfast. We've been here quite a few times since it's reopening for tea/coffee and lunch and love the ambience and atmosphere.

Visited recently for lunch, refurbishment is a super job and the service was faultless. Food was a little disappointing, £13:00 for Scampi at lunch needs to be good. Chunky chips were tasty but not warm enough, mushy peas were garden peas blitzed into a watery mush. Scampi was delicious although served in breadcrumbs and not batter as described on menu, although probably better in breadcrumbs. Tartare sauce tasted like mayo

Dinner with the hubby on a rare night out... opted for the small plates with a garlic bread and a dessert and it was absolutely gorgeous food, with amazing service and great atmosphere! Our servers Danielle and Chloe were amazing... and apparently it was Chloe's 1st night.. Ud never know she was great! Definitely recommend!

My mum and I went for lunch for her birthday. I ordered the chicken in pepper sauce and garlic mash and my mum ordered the fish and chips. The service was good and the food was lovely, I would highly recommend this venue. The décor is lovely now it has been renovated.

I’m a local so was very excited about the renovation going on and the hopeful arrival of a desirable venue in North Belfast. The renovation is great.. looks fabulous! I have eaten there 3 times now and am doubtful that I’ll ever eat there again. Each meal I’ve had has been pretty poor to be honest.. I thought perhaps it was teething issues as the place is just open, but the slap I was served yesterday took the biscuit.. I ordered the vegetable tagine. I was served a tomato sauce with a tin of mixed beans stirred into it.. not a hint of another vegetable or dried fruit, no trace of Moroccan herbs and spices.. the chef should be ashamed of himself! The place doesn’t seem to be well organised yet.. we came in and took a table, after sitting for 15 minutes we had to approach the bar for menus, the service after this wasn’t too much better. A bit better organisation, such as a host to greet people arriving to work out if they’re in for food or drinks would be simple and effective.. perhaps allocating the side booths and the ones behind the bar for dining would be good?

Really pleased with our stay! Beautiful rooms etc. Lady and man at reception very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Will be back

We are currently enjoying a two night stay at The Lansdowne Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The bar is modern with ample seating, great cocktails, breakfast was tasty and great selection on the barfood menu. Lovely outside area for relaxing. Thank you to management and staff for a wonderful stay. As we work in hospitality ourselves, it was a welcomed break. The Lansdowne have a winning team here and they really made our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again.

Not family friendly at all!! Booked into the hotel for overnight stay with my husband and two children age 8& 7, went down to the bar at 18.00 hrs for something to eat to be told that children were not allowed in the bar after 16.00hrs!!! I’d see threw it if it was after 9pm.Total disgrace and will not be back! The blonde haired girl on the reception desk was also very arrogant.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. We tried to get in for an extra night although, it was booked solid (and we were disappointed). The rooms were beautiful, restaurant and food was amazing, the complimentary breakfast the next morning was outstanding, service was impeccable (the owner even helped us to order a pizza late at night after our arrival and delivered it himself). Can’t say enough. We will definitely recommend to our Canadian friends travelling Ireland. Thank you!

Ate here with some friends as local to us all and really hoped it would be our go to place for a night out. Food was really poorly presented with not as much as a token vegetable on the plate. The duck at £17 came with wet tasteless mash and all the food was not even lukewarm. The waitress was very pleasant but service was poor with two members of the party having finished their dessert before the other two arrived. It is definitely overpriced for the small, poorly presented food we received. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend it unless the standard of food improves!

Made a point visiting after the recent refurbishment and have been blown away! Top selection of beer and the bar food menu was excellent. Can't wait to go back

Service was good, lunch menu not exciting, we were regulars before closure due to hygene issues, I went to the disabled loo and it was in need of a toilet brush, my friend had used it some 10/15 mins before me and it was ok. I went to the receptionist and quietly said " your disabled toilet bowl is in need of attention" I added it didn't upset me but thought after the hotel closed for hygene that it may cause concern to someone else, she thanked me for my comment, after our meal and a few drinks I visited the loo again some 2+ hours later, to my surprise it had not been attended to. Not a great advert for customers. Won't be back.Always loved the place. If something in public view is not put right, I WOULD HATE TO SEE HOW THE KITCHEN AREA ETC., IS KEPT. SORRY

Great food ,excellent service Cocktails amazing The ambience was great ,the decor and very comfortable with booth providing both privacy and a view at the same time Staff very helpful but not intrusive

So me being dairyfree asked what could I have and to be fair there was a good choice but I chose steak sandwich I did say well done but I think theres a line between well done and completely inedible. I informed the waitress and all good I didn't want another.

I recently stayed at The Lansdowne Hotel which was booked at short notice for me and my colleague. What a surprise we had, staff were absolutely first class, food was exceptional, rooms and decor were top draw and we were spoiled for choice with drinks. We had 4 nights there and they looked after us like royalty, couldn’t do enough for us. The owner was such a great guy and made sure everything was right for us, even moving from his parking space to allow our big van to be parked safely over night. Live quality bands on the evenings was a lovely touch too. Will definitely be going back hopefully for pleasure next time. Could genuinely keep writing anoint how good this place was. Definitely try the Tapas....

Me nd a friend visited the landsdowne on a Monday night and sat outside having a geg and Sarah kept our table clean all night she really looked after us, such a lovely girl honestly this wee girl deserves a promotion 💖💖

We have just stayed at the Landsdowne hotel as part of a wedding for 2 nights the hotel is first class staff could not be more helpful rooms r beautiful beds so comfortable so if u r thinking of checking into this hotel I would highly recomend it. Xx

Have known "the lansdowne" for manys a year, but now under New Management and a complete revamp, it has been a saviour to the upper antrim road.. Visited on friday nite past just to see what all the fuss was about and was gobsmacked at the difference in the place, absolutely fantastic, great decor, full of people, full of life, was great to see spirit back in the place as it has been missing many a year. Great job to those involved...We had "pub grub" plain and simple,in the bar with a bottle of wine, it was good food, maybe slightly on the expensive side but not complaining, will def be back, great to have somewhere close to home back again

As i live within 300 metres of the Lansdowne I have visited it twice since it reopened with my wife. On the first occasion i had a pasta dish which was pretty bland but was prepared to accept that maybe i just chose a wrong dish. Tonight i revsited and we both ordered the chicken burger with fries. The fries were lovely but both burgers were very disappointing and extremely bland. Quite frankly they were tasteless. We left immediately after them as we were so disappointed. I would still be prepared to go back again and hope the hotel does well as this part of the Antrim Road needs somewhere nice to eat but both visits were disappointing. Hopefully they can rectify the shortcomings and the tasteless food.

I was here for lunch yesterday with a group of friends! First of all we were standing waiting on a table for about 10 minutes before anyone even noticed us , once we were sat at a table we had to wait another 10 minutes on our drinks , a women in normal clothes and short blonde hair took our order and to be honest she was just plain rude and I took it she was a manger! The food order was took wrong and we were also missing chips we were not checked on at all and I heard so many good things about the Lansdowne! Defo won’t be back

Went for lunch, ordered sandwiches with soup and small plates. Squid burnt and totally inedible, meatballs burnt and dried out, chicken wings edible, sandwiches and soup were OK but nothing more. Had a glass of house red, this was the highlight. I wanted this to be good as it local but it missed by a long way. The Lansdowne has had a checkered past and this is not a great new start. Security guy was back and forward and rather than being reassuring seemed menacing. I will give it a while before trying again.

An absolutely wonderful hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are so lovely and comfortable. The live music in the evening was particularly good.

The refurbishment is brilliant! The hotel lobby, bar area and outside space have been really well done and could compete with any of the bars in Cathedral Quarter in terms of style and quality. Three friends and a baby attended the bar area of the hotel for lunch. While it is a little pricer than people expected the food was of good quality, the drinks were lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. All ages of diners were present and everyone appeared to be enjoying their time. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly towards our baby! Would be encouraged to return when the restaurant opens.

Went for drinks and a meal, unfortunately we arrived at 4pm so were unable to get a main course but were offered the plates (which are hot snacks) we ordered chicken wings, beef and French fries and were not disappointed, food was fabulous. Service was outstanding. Will recommend to friends and family and will definitely be back.
