Langland's Brasserie in Swansea

We had such a lovely visit to the Langland Brasserie today. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and felt really special. The roast beef was so tasty and tender, with enormous Yorkshire puddings and delicious sides which had been handled with care, no overcooked vegetables present! It was so good we barely spoke while we ate. For pudding we had pavlova and a delicious green apple sorbet. We will be back again soon!

The food and staff were lovely, our friends who we went also brought their dog who was allowed outside.

Superb in all aspects. As above 5 star on food , service and atmosphere put those with one of the best locations in the UK and it will mean another visit, you must book

Stopped for a bite to eat and ordered this tandoori chicken with chutney chips and it was the nicest meal iv had in a long time not something I would normally order but gave it a try and would defo recommend,for 2 courses it was a bit pricey at £32pp but worth it,and knickerbocker glory for desert it was coke cola and pear icecream not really my thing.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the cuisine. There was a live Jazz band that made our experience even better. For starters, we ordered Tempura courgette fingers and soup, followed by pan-fried chicken breast and salmon fillet. The reason we gave four stars instead of five was that when we were leaving, a waitress chased after us and asked if we had paid. We showed her the receipt and they apologized, but we were not happy with their behavior. It showed a lack of coordination among the staff in a professional workplace.

Excellent food, drop 2 stars for service. Arrived on Sat 13:00 and offered a table for 2 by the door, other tables of 4 were available, a waitress came handed over menus, and explained the specials of the day after 5 min we moved to a new away from the door. After a further 10 minutes called to a young waitress to take our order, she politely said she would get somebody to take our order. After another 10 min, a couple at the next table explained that you have to order at a counter, which would have been good had this been explained when we first were shown to our table. Our meal drinks & starters followed by our 2 mains arrived promptly, which we both enjoyed. Considering we paid just over £70 for our meal and drinks (Tonic Water and a Pint of beer) I've deducted 2 stars for the service we received.

Went in looking for a table and were ignored for 5 minutes. Another couple entered behind us and were immediately offered a table, shocking customer service they clearly have an idea of what sort of people they want in that restaurant

Arguably the best view from any UK cafe!

This is a special restaurant in a really beautiful spot in Mumbles. The restaurant has a really nice view overlooking Langland Bay. We came for a late dinner and the service and food was excellent all round. I quite liked the Aspall Cider that I got and the food was delicious from top to bottom. They had a great selection of foods that made it difficult to choose in the best way. I got the fishcake as my starter (chunky fishcake, Parmesan white wine, cream & spinach Florentine sauce, crispy capers and got the Duck Confit as my main (Confit of duck leg, sweet potato puree, sautéed tenderstem broccoli & mange tout, toasted almonds, thyme & red wine jus). The fish cake has a nice crisp crust and paired deliciously with the Parmesan and spinach sauce. The duck was also very tasty and was a good portion that left me with left overs. For dessert we got the raspberry & pistachio petit gateaux and the Knickerbocker Sundae (Knickerbocker glory, boozy muffin, toffee sauce, roasted hazelnuts poached pear and cola sorbet). The little cake was delicious with the perfect amount of tartness from the raspberry that paired nicely with the pistachio. I really wanted to like the sundae, but it just was not good. Didn’t quite realize how bizarre the combination of ingredients was. The food was great but was very expensive coming in at like 40 quid for 3 courses. The service was great and the servers were super friendly and welcoming. Everything (except for the Knickerbocker desert)was wonderful and the only downsides were that we felt a bit rushed (our reservation was for 8:30 shortly before the kitchen closed) and it was quite expensive.

Can't recommend this place enough amazing food fabulous setting and the most freindly members of staff, as a vegetarian it was lovely to see an excellent menu to choose from.

Another great meal at Langlands!

Stunning setting on the beach front, views were great. Food was lovely and staff friendly. We went for dinner, recommend booking but walk ins are available. Can see this getting extremity busy in the summer months. I thought it was all quite pricey, paying £6.60 plus for a pint is expensive but I suppose it’s what you pay for, for the setting. Also having to pay for parking on top, £5.50 for 3 hours I thought was poor. Should be an option to have this back off the bill. Overall though great experience.

This place is a gem! The setting on Langland Bay is beautiful and the restaurant has a classy, European vibe. The staff are , attentive and highly professional. Best of all, the food is very good. We used to visit here each year when we’d visit but, since COVID, we’d not been back. We were excited to see this place was just as good, if not better, than we remembered. We ate there 3 times in our 2 week visit. Every meal was good but the Seafood Platter was an amazing feast. We will be back again next visit…

I have been to this restaurant multiple times over the last 5 years. Mainly for drinks, but have also eaten there a few times. Like many people have stated, it is a bit pricey, but you are sat right on the beach and there is no other place in that area. I went there again last week for breakfast, which is a first. I ordered a full breakfast, but didn’t want toast or beans and asked if I could swap them for an avocado and pay whatever the difference would be. The head waitress said, “no, cannot be changed, we can take it off, but you cannot have anything in place”. Her manner was very unpleasant and I didn’t appreciate being spoken too in that way. The breakfast was warm and came very quickly, so it was not cooked fresh and not worth more than £6, never mind £12.95. It also states on there menu, that you can’t substitute any items, as if a cooked breakfast falls off a tree in that way. It’s not difficult to change an item and pay the difference, so it’s obvious that they are just trying to get more money from customers. They will probably write some nonsense reply to this about it taking the chef longer, if they have to substitute, but rather than thinking of an excuse, start appreciating the customers you do get and become more accommodating. This restaurant and every other one that these people own, will not get 10p off of me ever again.

Go! You will not be disappointed. The food is sublime, the waiter knows his wines and the service is impeccable. We’re returning in daylight to see the view

We had lunch on a Sunday. Very busy but the service was excellent. Food was well presented and of a high quality. My only criticism would be the starters lacking variety for some people.

The mussels were delicious. We both had mains off the specials board which we highly recommend and the service was excellent.

Great breakfast and coffee. We will be back.

Can recommend for breakfast, coffee and cake or evening meals. Every dish we had was delicious. Vanilla slice indulgent but an absolute must!! Such a stunning place with great atmosphere and amazing staff. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

A lovely evening spent with friends & family, delicious food as usual, great fish & chips & mussels with excellent and friendly service! I asked for a table with a view of the sea for our friends and we got just that! Can’t beat it’s location ❤️

There isnt 1 bad thing i can say, food was so balanced, that for the 1st time ever i never had to balance it with any seasoning, cooked to.perfection. Service with genuine friendly smile. Worth every penny, for sure will go there again.

Called in for lunch today, we had pre-booked online and arrived a little early buy it was no problem and taken to our seats. Set lunch menu was varied and reasonably priced, I had mussels as a starter which were a huge portion and really tasty. I had steak with chips for main course again really cooked well and nicely presented. We had a nice bottle of wine which was reasonably priced for a restaurant. Staff very friendly and professional. Lovely views from restaurant.

What a beautiful place, the tide was in and the waves were crashing onto the rocks in the distance. We were met by friendly staff who were very polite and attentive. The breakfasts were delicious and wonderfully presented .the coffee was very good also. I had the paoched eggs on sourdough which was so good . There was nothing negative about our experience, they even brought out a huge chocolate brownie with a candle in to sing happy birthday to a member of our group which was a lovely surprise and very kind gesture. We will definitely be visiting again

This is a great place to eat. We love coming here. It has a lovely ambiance, and attentive staff. The view is perfect and an extra bonus. Our food was amazing. A mix of beautifully cooked traditional Sunday roasts and delicious contemporary dishes. We loved it.

Love. Love. Love this place. There are hospitality business' where the sum of all its parts go further than each individual aspect if you took these at their own value. The brasserie at Langland is one of those places, the view, its outside balcony seating area and its location are the main stars in this constellation. On the balcony sometimes when it's busy you can feel the tables are a bit too close to each other, while inside I could wish for a better interior design theme and more attention paid to the washrooms. I have also to especially praise the staff, their attention to service is fantastic and their work rate is top notch, the owner is clearly proud of his team and for good reason. The last two occasions we visited I had a hot chocolate and a custard slice, then the crab gratin with baguette. The hot chocolate was excellent, sooooo many places bring the hot drinks to you slightly not as hot as it could be or something else ever so slightly lacking. Not here. The custard slice however ... I think I understand why it's there, it's the price point, offering a cake choice that doesn't break the bank in this age of constrained household budgets. But honestly, I think it's let's them down. The custard has a gelatine firming agent in it and it spoils the taste and the experience. I also have a slight worry about the crab gratin, I'd have been a lot better informed if on the menu it specified brown crab meat, either that or mix more white crab meat into it. For some people the more fishy brown crab meat is perfect, for others, like me, I much prefer white crab meat and am not much of a fan of brown meat only. It sounds like I'm complaining and really I'm not, we stop here fairly often and we will continue to do so. First because it is absolutely fantastic and second because excellent hospitality businesses like this need the support. Imagine if places like this went bust and we no longer had them. Life would become that much more shallow.

Very rarely leave reviews but Langland's was excellent. Excellent service from all the staff. The food was superb and very reasonable. Visited in the evening and now want to come back in the summer when we'll be able to see the sea.

Always a fabulous welcome /superb food :good atmosphere and even on a grey wet February day it lifts the spirits. Loved going here for years and years . Don’t leave without trying or taking away one of their awesome custard slices.

Food was all delicious and staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Quiet evening mid week in Feb but they managed to make the place feel warm and welcoming. Would love to come back in the summer and see the views.

The setting is perfect, super sea views. Welcoming staff and very good service. Varied menu and good sized portions. All our meals were attractively presented and very tasty. A place to recommend and revisit.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch as a party of 4 adults, 2 with additional needs. The staff were very welcoming & the venue spacious. We loved the feel of the restaurant, relaxed & very stylish. Our drinks arrived swiftly as did the meals. The burgers with applewood cheese were tasty as were the steak (cooked to perfection) & belly pork. Puddings were delightful & delicious, velvety cheesecakes & panna cotta (see photo). We are already planning a return visit!

Great food with friendly and attentive service.

We had the Seafood Platter. It was outstanding and plenty of food. Staff were always on hand and helpful (particularly with cracking the crab claws etc.). It was topped off by my propasal being accepted just on the steps outside, perfect evening!

Lovely deco and atmosphere. Staff were attentive. Most of the food was okay but do not bother with the Escargot, dreadful! Chewy and almost grisly, no garlic butter. Really bad. The calamari were fine, the crab gratin over powering and made with mainly dark meat. The duck was good as we’re the fish and chips. Bourguignon was good. The Hake fillet was a disaster. Totally unbalanced plate of food unless of course you like tomato soup with under cooked aubergine and over cooked courgette. The Hake was tiny and pin bones not removed. Buttered new potatoes were dark brown and obviously roasted. To charge £27 for my 2 courses was shocking. Front of house was keen not to catch my eye for feed back- she knew it was not good and certainly not value for money. Never before have I come home from an expensive meal and made toast!

Really welcoming - we always look forward to our breakfasts there. It was the best way to start off the New Year!

We were turned away. “No dogs allowed” But no signage, and reviews suggested they do. We went to the cafe instead who were very welcoming.

Excellent meal with service from lovely people. We eat here just before Christmas every year and will continue to do so. Well worth a visit.

Nice meal, and the staff are very good. I am not keen on the set menu I would prefer slightly more choice and the option of having just a main course. You pay for the location and it is a beautiful spot. The food was tasty and well presented but just wish it was a more traditional A La Carte.

Wanted a special lunch but so disappointing my wife ordered roast Turkey, I ordered the salmon. The Turkey was tasteless, she had 1 slice of parsnip, and carrot both roasted. A lump of stuffing, the Brussel sprouts were like bullets if one hit the window it might have shattered. She was not asked if she had a nut allergy as there were chestnuts with the sprouts . My salmon came it was okay but came with soft yolk eggs ( my fault I should have said no eggs) which were cold . We had two courses but should have one. As the sweets were okay but . Will be a while before we go back.

Absolutely superb food and service. Beautiful location on the beach front and very welcoming on a cold evening with the open fire lit. We ordered from the evening menu and we're not disappointed. The mussel starter was delicious and easily big enough to share or as a main course. The crispy cockle appertiser was easily as big and absolutely mourish. For mains the sirloins steaks were served perfectly cooked with a massive amount of chips on the side. We couldn't manage dessert there but there is a wonderful fresh cake counter which we picked 2 to go from. Absolute gem of a restaurant with a solid 10/10 for food, service and location.

I really think this is a wonderful addition to Langland Bay. Not a basic cafe, but a classy place to eat and drink with a sea view. I've been here many times over the years, and really enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the beach, but yesterday it was cold, so sat inside. It was a wee bit cramped, and the service felt a bit random, but once we'd settled and placed our order at the till, perfectly chilled glasses of Muscadet wine arrived very quickly, and shortly after, the best fish and chips I've ever had. Delicious!

staff are tremendous, especially Tom, always friendly and has a joke about. Food is always great and can't recommend the fish and chips enough! best around I would say. I do wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options just to try out but I do understand this is a seafood kind of restaurant mainly so is only understandable. Highly recommend! Great atmosphere, music not too loud, staff great, food top notch and have a different selection of desserts usually every time I come and all fresh.

We visited Tuesday evening, Lovely meal, first time we have visited. All the staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The setting is beautiful, designed perfectly! We also visited previously in the day, the fire was lit whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine and watched the sea. Perfect place for anyone who enjoyes excellent food!! Will most definitely return.

Our favourite restaurant in Swansea, the location is stunning. Visited here on many occasions over the years, always have a lovely meal. Even though we don’t live locally the staff always remember and welcome us with a smile. The leek & potato soup & Fish Risotto I can highly recommend.

We didn't have food here but what we saw being served looked very good and we plan to return for food. Service was very good restaurant was very clean tables were cleaned as soon as people moved from them. You may need to book table as it appears very popular.

Really great place went for the menu staples, burger, fish and chips, bacon butty. Really well done. Great service. Outside because of the dog, sunny day though. So lovely.

Really lovely food, lots of selection. Had starters to share and main courses. Cakes looked fabulous if you're just after coffee and cake. Nice restaurant inside but sat outside - patio heaters in place but not on. Solid 9/10 experience! 👍 Great staff.

The food was variable. Why is it that starters are always the best? This was no exception. I had pigeon which was absolutely delicious. It didn't pair too well with black pudding the overall effects was a bit dark and heavy...would have been better with fresh figs perhaps. The main, a rich, fatty pork belly did not need serving with sausages which were in something shredded like white cabbage possibly but any essence of cabbage had been well and truly boiled and salted out and I've no idea how many times the lump of mash potato had been heated up. Overall, it was heavy, rich and salty. The pork belly was coated in something crumbly and salty. The pork was tender and tasty. The coffee mousse was a dollop of thick, dense, barely coffee flavored, gelatine -two spoonfuls and I was done. The Americano coffee was as dense and dark as the mousse and no amount of milk made it drinkable I'm afraid - I'm honestly not quite sure what it was and I still have tachycardia.

Very good food and service. We look forward to returning very soon.

One of our favourite places to eat or to get a drink! Our self catering guests staying in our cottages love it here too. A very popular spot, with stunning views over Langland Bay. Seating both inside in their restaurant, or bar area, or outside on the terrace with a dog-friendly section. They offer a great 3-course meal on their set course menu. We always order the crispy cockles to snack on while we decide what to order. Being right on the coast path you can go for a lovely coastal path walk either to work up an appetite, or to walk off the meal! Recommend booking in advance as they can get busy.

One of our party of four is 96. She has a small appetite but the staff were very understanding and helpful, making sure she had a meal tailored to her needs. The rest of us ate two courses each. The quality was excellent and we couldn’t have eaten any more.
