3 course tasting menu was lovely. Service was very good. Vivian was extra hospitable as were the staff in general. Also, not every day the chef comes out to ask how you found the food. I had the park belly... 🤤

Such a pleasant experience dining at Lanes of London. The food is excellent and the service is top notch. Eat here several times during my wife and I’s trip to London. Our waiter, Vivian has made the experience so pleasant with his friendly approach, and him remembering our favorites dish how we like it, as well as our favorite seat.

It was a really great afternoon tea experience during my trip to England with my mom. The food was delicious and the location was great, so I enjoyed walking around Hyde Park with my mom. And I was grateful to the Indian person who served me for his friendly response.

I went to the restaurant for dinner. High quality ingredients, excellent service. Not a huge menu, with vegetarian options. Excellent soups and desserts. You must try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Very good! Beautiful hotel (wonderful bathrooms).

My friend and I went for afternoon tea before Christmas. We were greeted and seated by friendly staff. The waiter fully explained the afternoon tea menu and we made our tea selections. The thing that I like about this afternoon tea is that you get two of everything so that both of you get to try everything on offer. I have had afternoon tea in other places where you only get one of everything and you have to cut them in half in order to be able to taste them all. The selection of sandwiches was interesting and some not to my taste but this is personal. Trying to pay the bill at the end was slightly problematic and it felt like we struggled to get anyone’s attention once we were ready to leave. This meant that we ended up approaching a member of staff to pay on the way out as we waited a long time after asking two members of staff for the bill. It was a pleasant experience but not the best or worst afternoon tea we have had, we would recommend and return.

Good food. Good ambiance. Overall good experience. Waiters were kind and trying their best but it was slightly slow and we had to call a couple of times for something. This is usually normal but for what they are trying to project which is high end afternoon tea experience; it’s not quite there yet. The food was aesthetically pleasing, the tea was lovely with free refill. Good amount and quality meeting the price we are paying for. The taste was mostly alright. Scones were alright. The fruit tart and chocolate bûche cake were great. We didn’t feel rushed and it was an intimate area we were sitting in. I would say it feels like an experience where there is nothing bad to say about it but that you won’t go for again. Acceptable price. Not 5 stars.

The host Vivian was quite wonderful and has given us above and beyond service to make sure we are well taken care of throughout our entire "wish upon a star" afternoon tea. He kindly suggested the portion and has excellent knowledge on the tea. The view was excellent too, in front of Hyde park. We were very fortunate to have stayed in London Marriott Hotel Park Lane during our stay we had breakfast here every day for a week, we fell in love with the warm amazing atmosphere, very friendly staff, the food very clean and delicious, we have a special message for our server Vivian Rato who took very good care of us during our stay thank you for your hospitality and professionalism.

Dined here for dinner celebrating a birthday and it was exceptional with the service being very attentive but not intrusive, and the food being incredible. Every dish was created with amazing care and precision, and everything tasted fantastic. There was not a single dish we ordered that I did not like. As it was a birthday celebration they brought out a beautifully decorated cake with a message on it. A lovely touch from the kitchen. This restaurant is highly recommended!

A very nice restaurant with extremely reasonably priced food. So very nice and quiet. The waiter was extremely attentive but not bothersome. We started with appetizers (pan seared scallops & a lobster and prawn croquette). Beautiful presentation (forgot to snap pictures) and very flavorful. Would definitely order them again! We both ordered the Fish & Chips and I have to say, they were some of the best I’ve ever had in London over the years. Huge chunks of white fish with a breading that was neither too thick nor too thin that had a fantastic CRUNCH! The mushy peas were flavored with an herb mixture. The chips (French Fries for us Americans) were very good. Perfectly fried. We were so full we had to skip deserts, but plan to come back to try their offerings which I have no doubt will also impress. Give this place a try…you won’t be disappointed.

Just a below average hotel restaurant and they will ignore you if you’re not a hotel guest.

We were here for afternoon tea. The food was beautifully presented and the staff was very kind. The scones and the savoury were very good. The pastries were just very sweet and didn’t taste like very much.

Typical overpriced hotel restaurant where you pay a lot of money for small amounts of extremely mediocre food. This was to be expected. What wasn't is that every single waiter and waitress walks around looking straight down to make 100% sure you don't have a chance of waving at them or catching their eye when you need something. In addition to this they make an active effort not to check on you so unless you literally go up to the bar and ask for things you can sit at a table unbothered for hours. Most fast food restaurants have better service than this sad old hotel bar.

I went here with my best friend for her 21st birthday, we did the botanical afternoon tea. Viviene our waiter was fantastic! Very attentive, welcoming and informative! The tea came with savoury treats, scones & a selection of beautifully crafted sweet treats! You are also served teas that are complimentary during the meal. Highly recommend!

Overall an average dinner / evening at Lanes of London. Food was ok, limited wine list and very little atmosphere, with few tables full, for what should be a busy Thursday night. My personal view is that there are so many better places to have dinner in the Mayfair area. The evening ended on a low point when I received the bill and saw that they had added a 12.5% service charge, which to be fair, I thought was fine and I was happy to pay. However, when the waiter came to our table with the card machine, he had added a further 10% service charge to the machine. When I asked why there was a further tip added, as the service charge was already included on the bill, he became a little flustered and just said “some of our guests like to give an extra tip …” in other words, those guests who hadn’t realised that service was already included on the bill, and thought they were only paying 10% - not 22.5%! Please be transparent with your service charges - that was not good form!

We had such a lovely time visiting lanes of London for a late lunch a couple of weeks ago. The lady who I believe is the manager of the restaurant is always so welcoming and friendly…she remembers us every time we visit. She helped us with menu choices and made us feel at home. Our lunch was made even more enjoyable with a complimentary drink to welcome us back. This was much appreciated and a very kind gesture. The food was delicious as always and the service fantastic. We look forward to visiting again.

Was shopping in Mayfair area and had strong eager to have afternoon tea so we called the lanes of London if there’s any seat available. Fortunately there is! We had afternoon tea with bubble. Came here for afternoon tea before our spa treatments. Had a great time in this wonderful hotel restaurant. The service was immaculate - the servers explained everything to us thoroughly and were accommodating to my allergies and teetotal lifestyle. We took the family, three grandchildren aged 5, 6 and 8 plus our children and partners to celebrate our Golden Wedding with afternoon tea for the adults while the children selected from the kids menu. The afternoon tea was delicious , the savouries (note not sandwiches) were imaginative looked and tasted wonderful. The tea stand had two well made and again delicious, warm scones with plenty of jam and cream. But by far the star of the show, as it should be were the "fancies". Beautifully presented on the bird cage stand. The children ate all their meals and were then more than happy to join the adults in vieng for a pastry! If this wasn't enough each "course" was accomopanied by a different tea. The flavours and the reason why they were being served explained by our attentive waiter Vivian, who truly looked after us during our meal. If you're looking for something different do give it a try, we were"bowled over"

Tea time at Lanes of London was spectacular. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting London. The teas were delicious and the pastries and sandwiches were so wonderfully curated and so pretty. The space is comfortable and airy and the service was impeccable. If you’re fortunate to have Vivian as your server it’ll be an experience you’ll never forget. He was EXCELLENT!

On a walkabout of London, we stopped into Lanes of London looking for lunch. The scallops with octopus and purple potatoes were so delicate and delicious. Mains of fish and chips and aubergine in a coconut curry sauce were so tasty. We were unable to fit in a dessert - that was until we were surprised with an Easter plate with a large pink macaroon, a chocolate basket and some mini eggs. We had such an enjoyable lunch and were so glad we stopped here. Next time we are in London we will be back!

One of my favourite hotels in London, I frequently pop in for meetings or if I want a quiet drink, Sunday dinner or with my laptop to do some work. I must say, I would come strictly for the sticky toffee pudding because this place had the best sticky toffee pudding but it's gone proper downhill. The shell used to be much crunchier and it was just different, now its soft and not the same. They've completely changed the ingredients of the shell. Wouldn't order it anymore. I've had dinner here several times, had salmon, roast dinners, burger & chips or I'll come and just grab some bar bites, i.e. mini burgers / arancini / chips etc, but I came for dinner a few months back and had the miso salmon which was not nice at all - gets a bit sickening after. All in all, my favourite spot in London, will return again and again and again and again. Only recommendation that I would recommend is some charging points near the seating areas as there is very limited seating with a plug point.

As a Chef from well know restaurant in Canada I highly not recommend to anyone. We ordered the food and waited for one hour and the sandwich is cold and salty by the time it came to my table. Bad service, not have been look after by server. Service fee charge is ridiculously expensive. The restaurant need professional chef. 4 sandwiches and sea food pasta took about one hour to make.
