We dined in the bar/ restaurant January 2024. After a long hike up Goatfell mountain we were in desperate need of a hearty meal and some local hospitality and Lamlash Bay Hotel was the perfect choice. The bar where we decided to eat as opposed to in the restaurant was extremely welcoming, both in terms of the locals and staff as well as the cosy ambience. There was an array of regional drinks and the menu offered home cooking from local produce. We both had the seabass main which was one of the best seafood dishes we have ever eaten, and throughly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding for desert. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and warm. Due to the quality of the food as well as the service we feel the restaurant is excellent value for money. We highly recommend the Lamlash Bay Hotel for a relaxing drink or meal. We haven’t reviewed the hotel itself as we did not stay there.

Genuinely can't fault anything here. Stayed here for work and can't believe how lucky we got. Spotless and decent rooms, amazing food (easily one of, if not the best pizza I've had), beyond friendly and helpful staff, they make every part of the stay so much more enjoyable (locals too actually, everyone is insanely friendly). We also had to unexpectedly extend our stay and everyone has been so welcoming, feels like both a home from home, and a holiday.

Such a lovely hotel, with excellent food and really helpful and friendly staff. The hotel maintains its historic charm, but has all the mod cons and is incredibly clean. We had a great room with a view of the sea and, considering it was bonfire night right outside, the room was really quiet! Would definitely come and stay again :)

We absolutely loved this place, chosen on a whim. Small cosy room I'm the attic part but with an amazing view of Holy Isle. Bed was a tad small for us as we usually share a king size, and this was a double, but being married nearly 30 years, it didn't matter. Staff were ultra friendly in the bar and restaurant, and Isla, the lady who greeted us, was very nice. The bar area was really well appointed with pictured cushions and tasteful artwork and sculptures, including a Cockerell that I nearly took out with a careless swipe of my hand on our last night. The food was superb, I had pork and seaweed sausages one night and pulled barbecue pork pizza the next. My wife had Seabass and prawns on the first night, and Blade of Beef the next both great. All in all, a nice establishment, and we will be back.

Can't comment on the rooms. We came here for dinner and had a very enjoyable evening. The food is good with a good variety of, mostly, pub grub with a slight twist and pizzas. Our food was excellent and the pizzas, which we didn't have, looked good and substantial. If you're in Lamlash it's definitely worth a visit.

Booked in for an evening meal. Nice cosy bar for a pre dinner drink with a mixture of locals and visitors. Menu has a good selection of dishes to suit most tastes. Had a starter of Haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by fish and chips ( sounds a bit traditional I know but more adventurous options are available). Portion size was impressive and of good quality, couldn't face a sweet! Service was prompt and friendly. Nice place to visit

At the very last minute and because of circumstances beyond our control we were unable to take up our booking at the Lamlash Bay Hotel. This proved to be at a time when the Arran ferry had been cancelled and the hotel was obviously under extreme pressure. We were met with the utmost courtesy and received a call from the hotel to say our booked room had been taken by someone else and they would refund us the cost. These sort of honest business practices are commendable and as regular visitors to Arran we look forward to a visit to the Lamlash Bay Hotel next year.

We stayed in room 10 (unfortunately, it was last room available to book) and the hotel noticed we had a toddler after we have booked. They have emailed us to check if we require a cot. I stayed here in September with my husband and our dog. We were in the Family Suite with two bedrooms and a small kitchen area. The accommodation was perfect for our needs as it has it's own entrance meaning we didn't need to take our wet dog through the hotel. The hotel sits right opposite the beach and has fabulous views. There was no housekeeping during our stay due to Covid restrictions but on arrival the accommodation was spotlessly clean and had all the towels we needed with a fantastic shower and lovely Arran Aromatics products. The staff are friendly and helpful but like all of the island at the moment they're suffering staff shortages. The food was well cooked and the service excellent but the menu is rather unexciting.

The room was spotless when we arrived, and was ready for us at 14:00hrs as promised. The Housekeeping girl was really friendly, cheerful and helpful too. Bar and restaurant staff couldn't have been more helpful, cheerful or professional. Every member of staff was Scottish, which really made a difference as they clearly enjoyed looking after us. Food, well. We are at three different locations in Lamlash and Lamlash Bay was easily the best experience. Food was excellent, we really made pigs of ourselves 😁 We'll use it again, next time we're on the Isle.

Prawn and salmon risotto and it did not disappoint! It was cooked to perfection. My husband had the cod wrapped in pancetta which he enjoyed but in his opinion was just a little overdone but he still enjoyed it. Pudding my husband had the rhubarb and ginger crumble with custard and I had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream both were fab. Would absolutely recommend! Fantastic restaurant. We ordered a takeaway, a fairly simple order of 3 Burgers, Chips and Salad. We were told there would be a 35 minute wait and then they would call / WhatsApp us when ready. We went to the local pub to kill a bit of time, no call after 40 minutes, no call after 50 minutes, so we waited until an hour was up and took a walk back. Funnily enough the order was there waiting for us and by the time we got it back (5 min walk), it was cold.. On getting back we realised there was no chips or salad. So I went back to the restaurant and mentioned this, not long after they came back out with a bag of the forgotten items. On getting back again, I looked and there was no salad.! So I went back…again and asked if they had also forgot the salad. The lady said with a bit of an attitude “salads on the burger”. Apparently the singular spinach leaf and thin slice of tomato on the burger is the ‘salad’! Even though the menu listing was, ‘Chicken burger, chips + salad’. The onion rings were anemic and extremely greasy, the chips looked like oven chips. The burger itself was actually ok but doesn’t make up for the rest of the ordeal! No apologies or refund offered.

We can't praise this gem of a hotel highly enough. The staff, particularly Mag, are brilliant in what they do. New staff were taken on whilst we stayed, and it's clear that their training is going well. All staff were pleasantly happy and efficient. We stayed in the room with sea views and balcony. Worth every penny! Comfortable and spacious, Mag greeted us on arrival, to show us the best features, and provided advice on local attractions. We were reassured about Covid safety, a room cleaning checklist was present. The hotel menu is good, reasonably priced, and the food was amongst the best in Arran. We're planning a return trip.

The family run Lamlash Bay hotel is apply named as it is located in the heart of lamlash overlooking the bay of lamlash towards holy isle. The lamlash bay offers an excellent menu that isn't over complicated and focuses on quality and freshness every dish a delight. A great selection of dishes are available catering to all food requirements and choices and they have introduced a delightful vegan burger which I haven't tried my self but I am told is absolutely a must-try. A stay at the lamlash bay is equily a must. Most rooms offer a delightful view of the bay, are very spacious and are decorated in a contemporary and modern style with we'll thought out soft furnishings making a very warm and comfortable stay. A stay wouldn't be the same without a hearty breakfast and the lamlash bay offers just that. With a selection of fresh fruits and cereals and also includes a hot breakfast to your liking. Not to mention your never out of coffee or tea. If you happen to be missing to catch an early breakfast a packed lunch can be prepared and supplied. The hotel has a delightful bar and newly added outdoor area to the front of the hotel which has over headcover. All covid guidelines are followed by all of the staff and plenty of hand sanitizer is available. If your looking for a central location to set off from and stay in style with a view then a stay at the Lamlash Bay Hotel is for you. You get a hell of a lot for your money at this hotel as well as first-class service.

Firstly the restaurant is lovely and bright and well laid out. They menu has plenty on it and the lunch menu is a good deal. However that is where the good stops. We waited at the sign to be seated, staff were talking at the bar and after 10 minutes we just had to go up and ask to be seated. The menu is pricey and the bread that came with the prawn cocktail was stale. The buttermilk chicken that came with the salad was rock hard and not that warm. We ordered 2 sets of drinks and both times had to ask where they were. Finally, it's February and the doors were wide open so the place was freezing. There seemed to be plenty of staff but they are just lacking attentiveness and given the price I would expect better.

However that is where the good stops. We waited at the sign to be seated, staff were talking at the bar and after 10 minutes we just had to go up and ask to be seated. We visited Stevenson about a year ago and happened upon this little gem of a place. Excellent food and service in a quiant setting. We often speak of how much we loved stopping there. Thanks again.

Greeted with a warm smile and seated at your table with great sea views. The set menu offers great value and for that little extra on ordering steak it’s only a £5 supplement. There is ample car parking at rear of property and it’s a restaurant my family and I visit frequently.Would highly recommend.
