Lalezar BBQ Meze Bar Restaurant in Doncaster

We booked a table for a large group but this was not known about when we arrived. Most peoples dishes which they ordered were not as described on the menu. Much more expensive than online menu indicated. Supposed to be a special birth meal but disappointed was the verdict by all diners.

Food was very tasty and plentiful, large portions. Dishes were a bit pricey but in hindsight could have probably shared a starter and a main which with the accompaniments would have been ample. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The one thing that bothered me was the service charge. I don’t like being forced into rewarding someone’s good service. If I receive good service I will tip but it doesn’t sit well with me being automatically included.

Been coming to Lalezar for years. In my eyes it is the best restaurant in Doncaster. The food is amazing, staff friendly, top quality service. I had not visited for a few months due to being busy but decided to call in to buy one to take home. Just as amazing as in the restaurant. Thankyou

Very disappointed came here years ago when it was a small place taking Groupon and the food was fabulous. It seems expansion has reduced the quantity. Don't go on a race day.

I had recently visited the Lalezar with friends for an evening meal and the atmosphere was happy , joyous , many birthday parties and excellent menu too. We were served by Ercan , absolutely fantastic person and he made sure that our evening will always remain a memorable one. Thanks Ercan

Food was amazing and very tasty and the staff were very good. My only gripe was the prices £12-50 for Garlic mushrooms with cheese and most of the main courses over £20 and a 10% service charge is included too it’s not a cheap night out. No complaints about the food it was delicious and good portion size too

We came Christmas Eve for a family meal party of 11 We were seated straight away upstairs and drinks order taken The food was amazing we all tried a variety of different dishes The food portions are very generous sizes Our main waiter Sultan was great made sure we were never short of drinks and attentive when we needed anything All the other staff were friendly and great as well we will definitely be coming back

Came here on Monday February 12 with some friends and family for a birthday celebration. From entering the restaurant it was a very positive experience with a very friendly welcome from Sultan and impeccable and professional service from all the staff ,and the food was excellent with great attention to detail. A lovely surprise at the end of the meal was me being presented with a lovely piece of chocolate cake with a candle and a rendition of Happy Birthday from Sultan and the other staff members. Would highly recommend Lalazar for a warm welcome, professional service, and fantastic food. Thankyou to Sultan for all his service and attention to detail.

Great food and efficient service. Very busy place with a nice selection of dishes. Sea Bream is very good. Some of the starters are expensive and a bit too big. A couple of good pilsners. Fun to be able to see the chefs cooking. Recommended

Been looking forward to visiting this place for years so ordered the most expensive special kebab on the menu and wow what a let down. Measly small portion of doner, average shish and the chops were pure bone…what a let down. Complete rip off for 30 quid

5* all round. Just had dinner. We stopped here after travelling for 3 hours and needed a pit stop! This was a lovely place, the staff were friendly, place was buzzing and the food was superb. The tastiest lamb sis I've had (and we get from our local Turkish place almost weekly!!). Portion sizes were big and almost every table we saw took a doggy bag home. Including us and we aren't going home!! Well Done. Keep it up!

Fantastic isn't a good enough word. All staff, the food, the drink, the atmosphere. Sultan our waiter was polite and very funny. We loved him. First time customer definitely not our last time. Only thing I could pick on is portions are huge but they give you take out boxes and the tip was already added on. We were going to tip anyway with high class it was. Just feels a bit cheeky. Xx

Food and atmosphere were amazing ...however, when booking we weren't advised that we would only have table for 1 hour. Felt rushed to order and finish meal...waiter was trying clear table before we had even finished. I understand its a busy time of year, but if we had known we had limited time we would have booked elsewhere. Only had time for main course.

Wonderful evening! Food was awesome. Service was awesome. Company was brill (the,wife!) We wanted to try a few different things, so had the kefir type drinks, we asked about the turnip juice, and he turned his nose up and said, no no no lol. Brill!

Amazing food & service. Sultan who looked after us was great & recommended a couple of dishes. I had the Lamb beyti which was really tasty & filling. This place is definitely one of the best places to eat in Doncaster.

Came for a birthday meal and was good service, amazing food, they were friendly and nothing was too much for them, would recommend to anyone to come here for the full package.

Food was great but we got charged £10.40 for 3 X small cordial and tap waters so unfortunately will not return as it's daylight robbery

Very good food, outstanding service, as a note, the owner gave to every single kid on the restaurant a 10£ note, regardless of the consumption as he loves child. Besides that, food was very good, clean, full of car parks very close and very good service.

We had the special meze for 4-5 people which was absolutely amazing. Plenty of very tasty food washed down with decent house wine. Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere made it a perfect family dinner. Highly recommended!

I had to try the Turkish breakfast! I've heard so much about it. And I wasn't disappointed. Everything was amazing. Me and my son had breakfast for one and finished it all. Was unbelievably good.

We visited as a group of 11 today and also as a group of 9 about a month ago. The food is always absolutely delicious and the service top notch. The staff are friendly and fun.
