Lahori Kebabish is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Pakistani flavors. I recently dined here and was blown away by the delicious Nihari and Paya. Over there years have been many times even when they were few doors down in there smaller shop. There food not bad prity much what it has allways been but now over priced.

Been here twice now, the food is sub-standard to be honest. They charge £9-£12 for curries that they simply re-heat , not worth it all especially if it's not fresh. Tikka is that cheap slimy chicken thighs so a lot of corners are cut in this place. Service is fine so not too much to complain about there but you pay for what you get.

I've visited this place four times now, and today I had the pleasure of being served by Hashan, the floor manager. He's an absolute gem, providing service that goes beyond five stars. The food is already fantastic, but Hashan's exceptional service truly elevates the experience to something unforgettable.

I have Lahore saved into my sat nav, and have for many years. Whenever I'm working in the Cardiff area, a trip to Lahore Kebabish for food takes me to my happy place 🥰. I usually have the mixed roll with all the salad and sauces, but I've also tried their curries to take home as well. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant, I've been a Lahore Kebabish fan for many years, and the food is straight out of the top drawer. Absolutely delicious. 😋😋😋😋😋😋

I have been eating here whenever in Cardiff ( including when the shop was smaller and next door). Yummy food as always and friendly staff. My son's first visit. He loves it. Ate a full meal, and then ordered a takeaway, which he is now eating at 2:00 in the morning! I always go back. My son will too, every time we are in Cardiff.

Excellent foot at an amazing price

Since I first stumbled across this restaurant I’ve been back several times and told all my friends. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious I’ve had the mixed grill which was amazing I’ve had several curries all superb Sides of lamb shish- pakoras-garlic nan are all great Please note that they don’t serve alcohol Dine in or take away id highly recommended and the prices are so reasonable!!

I had been to visit Pakistan some years ago on a trip with my partner and this place really bought back some memories. It is really delicious:)

The clue was in the business name: Lahore, which means I got a Pakistani takeaway and not the Indian I was expecting. I ordered Chicken Biryani with plain madras sauce and 1 chapati. I received 1 bread which looked like a naan bread but I'm not sure - it didn't look like or pull apart like the chapati bread I usually enjoy from other takeaways. The biriyani rice was nice but the chicken WAS ON THE BONE! My first task was to debone the chicken, which left me with a paltry amount of meat and a couple of bones that had escaped my notice. Lastly, the 'plain madras sauce' was a small container of curry sauce and almost an equal amount of oil that I had to drain out in order to get to the sauce. Then I had to soak up the remaining oil with kitchen towel. I wanted to take the entire meal back and demand a refund but I couldn't be bothered. I knew I would never go back there again. I just wish they had had the decency to ask me about my preferences than to prepare a meal that was clearly NOT what I was expecting. Be warned. Pakistani food is NOT the same as Indian food.

We were served by Hassaan. Absolutely a wonderful guy; polite and friendly. Also, one of the only Pakistani food which I came across in Cardiff.

Good quality pakistani halal food

My first visit here. After googling reviews for the best Lamb Nihari in Cardiff. The food did not disappoint. I had the slow cooked lamb on bone desi style curry. A rich flavoured sauce. Pungent spiced with fragrance and depth. But without the chilli heat. Absolutely superb cooking by Numan the resident chef. My partner had the Tandoori Chicken. Which was tender, moist and delicately spiced. We also ordered lamb chop tikka. Again, tender, succulent and a real flavour bomb... We were welcomed by Hasan. Who was front of house. He was very friendly and attentive and gave us advice on the menu. Lahore Kebabish is a cafe style Bangladeshi eatery. Simple tables and chairs. All the food is cooked in front of you, on full display.... Highly recommended and will be going again.... 🌶

This restaurant/take away has actually moved from 160 Penarth Rd to 174 Penarth Rd * It’s situated on the same side of the road but a much bigger premises. What you’ll get here is authentic Pakistani cuisine which is incredibly delicious at very reasonable prices The waiting staff are knowledgeable about the food and eager to please We stopped off here on our walk home after the football on Wednesday night What we ordered was so good we actually ordered several more dishes to try There were three of us and we were all impressed They do not serve alcohol but that didn’t detract from the amazing cuisine on offer Look at the picture of the naan breads - I can’t remember what they were called but were unbelievable Three of us all left stuffed and the bill was a mere £50 I honestly can’t wait to return and it will probably be tomorrow for lunch I highly recommend!!!

Love the amazing authentic Pakistani food served here. I eat here regularly and have never felt let down. The tandoori chicken tikka is one of the best chicken dish I have ever tasted.

This uncle at the counter is so unfriendly. Has zero respect. Handles food bare-handed - literally handled all my food with his bare, dirty hands. No hand washing prior. Handles cash etc with the same hands too. The other guys are so friendly especially the cook with the big beard. But this old mans so cranky. Someone needs to tell him to stop being so abrupt and rude.

Had a very bad stomach for 2 days after eating their naans, the dough was not fresh at all and the naan was not cooked properly.

Best kebab in Cardiff at the moment, very good chicken tikka too, very cheap too. They have moved a few doors down to a much bigger place, now has 10 big tables. Also you must try the tea

One of the Best Restaurants Around Wales, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Halal food is also their plus point. I Recommend them to everyone.

Got 8 Tandoori rotis takeaway , my experience was marred by the discovery of hair in my food , the order was picked up by my family member and when I went back with my concern the manager was so rude to me ,the lack of empathy and professionalism is disheartening , if you think so that without any reason I’m making reviews plz check ur record that I ordered 8 tandoori rotis for takeaway on Sunday lunch time , and plz check the recording who was being harsh first . The BBQ mix grill was amazing plenty of meat choices and grilled to perfection and alot of sauce and salad options they also do curries will try next time

Fantastic food at reasonable prices. I had the chicken jalfrezi, and it tasted amazing. My boys (9 & 14) had the kebab roll (lamb kofta on naan with salad and chips) and both absolutely loved it. The staff were welcoming, helpful and extremely pleasant and courteous. I felt very well looked after. I will definitely be going again.

Biggest SCAM in Cardif. Very dissapointing experience. The pre- prepared chicken karahi( read - shorba) was warmed ( still cold) in the microwave. They should atleast have the curtesy to re- heat on the stove- to give it a fresh hot vibe. But lo and behold the week old fried samosa was warmed in the micro - and it was stale...couldnt even bite it let alone that a samosa is supposed to be crispy. The only thing the Chef was doing was preparing fresh naans or rotis. Kudos to that effort since the food was so disappointing. On top of that when the chef was told that the samosas were stale and badly done he had the audacity to say ' its just your bad luck ' we fry them in the morning. Well I hope you close down for your SCAM

We collected a takeaway, but were a little early for it. We know the freshly cooked roti was freshly cooked, because we watched them cook it! The food was excellent. The slow cooked lamb was tender and the best we've had. Overall, the food was incredible. This is definitely somewhere worth a detour.

I've been working in the area for some time and had been meaning to venture into this culinary goldmine. Staff very friendly,welcoming and attentive,discussed options and different spice strengths. Opted for slow cooked chicken curry,boiled rice and side salad. Salad nice and fresh to cleanse the palate,rice light and fluffy,as for the chicken curry,soft enough to cut with a spoon and extremely tender. Had a chat with the chef and after complementing him on his undoubtable talent in the kitchen,promised to return and try his other creations 10/10. This place is faultless. David

Recently the restaurant has suffered big time… they did not have half the dishes we ordered and only had one bottle of coke (this is on Saturday evening, bearing in mind before the peak hrs around 6ish)… we got served in polystyrene cups! I’m sorry but this is no way to run a restaurant

Had a lovely meal here Ma’Sha’Allah, some of the best authentic Pakistani cuisine around. There was a wide selection of food to choose from. I bought a few different types of curries, which were fresh as can be and tasted amazing, and was made very quickly. It reminded me very much of the food I grew up on back in my home country, but on a higher end level and a great price. Servers and host were very friendly and polite and even gave me a complimentary chapati! The shop itself was very clean and tidy, as were the bathrooms. Perfect for a family outing or coming alone, highly recommend.

This shop needs more attention. Literally the food was fresh made you can taste it and the lamb fell right off the bone The naan was surprisingly Really good even though i don't really like naan and the best part it's actually owned by Pakistanis. My order was Lamb curry Haleem Tandori naan Roti I would recommend you try But overall I would give it 9.7/10

Best food in Cardiff by far pure homemade pakistani I’m a student everytime I eat here I miss my mom’s cooking The negative review at bottom is very wrong as I was there because they didn’t get a discount the whole family left a bad review disgrace to these guys

Staff attitude needs to change asap… poor service

Poor service, the food choices were limited, only half the advertised dishes… for £8.50 you can get 1/2kg karhai @ Khayber!! Recently service has gone down… staff must do more to address their attitude otherwise it will sink which is a shame since their food is really nice

I went there today. I was looking for Pakistani food in the area and this place showed up my search results. I was really impressed by the quality and taste of food, serving and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Normally I don't give 5 stars to a restaurant unless all those things are really good. In this case everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food.

Overall a good experience. However lahori tastebuds will struggle to relate the food with traditional lahori taste but it’s a good place for desi food and a must try!

Really disappointed 😞 Ordered daal,which guy warmed in microwave,so was tastless,was dry aswell,small portion was £6.50 on it's own which is way over priced. Ordered tea,requested twice to make it strong but get tea which was taste liked boiled milk,I spil it away. Guys sort your curries & tea ,rest of the food I don't know. My £8.75 being wastes.

Wow, what a meal. Great food, amazing hospitality and ridiculous value for money. Everything we had was perfect, probably the best chicken Pakora I've ever had. Great lamb chops and Keema naan. The Haleem was probably my favourite dish, incredible texture and flavour. We were given some free sweet rice with our bill and even offered some complimentary tea. Should also mention how good the sweet lassi was! Update: tried the Masala fish tonight, so good we ordered a second portion straight away

Today I’ve visited and ordered Half Keema and 3 Roti for takeaway. The taste was delicious 😋😋 all ingredients were perfectly cooked. The only I don’t like is Oil, it’s has too much oil in it. If you can take care of this oily thing will be good for us and will be visiting again soon.

I'm a International student in Cardiff so when I came here I was looking on Google which is the best Pakistani cuisine in Cardiff & Guess what I came to know @ Lahore Kebabshish . I straight away went to have dinner and trust me it was all amazing after I entered that restaurant. They have very good sitting arrange ments . Love the Garlic naan made by Mr.Farman and love the Chicken Karachi if you're fan of spicy and gravy give a try. Special thanks To Mr Haider for giving students discounts . And thanks to all the staff . If you love Indian & Pakistani Cuisine I would highly recommend give it a try.

Yesterday I buy 60 pound food for my family. Worst food I have eat. Very salty Paya, too much red color too added on food.

Good food at great value. Masala fish was flavoursome and non greasy. Keema Nan is a must have. Samosas were a bit soggy. Some items weren't available on this visit but will be back to try some of their curries especially Haleem. Very friendly service too.

Takeaway curry/rice and keema naan, both of which were excellent, curry was packed with chicken, great value for money and staff really friendly. Will definitely be back to eat in.

Food was absolutely delicious and mouth watering 🤤 Do try Haleem and chicken biryani.

The restaurant has moved to a bigger site with a lot more seating. We went for the main curries in particular chicken and lamb karahis as well as dal and choley with lots of naan and roti. There was also a biriyani as well. All of the food was very tasty and the fresh naan was amazing. The only negative were the smaller portion sizes. If you are hungry, order an extra portion and take the left overs home. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Budget place with fairly decent dine-in options. Taste and presentation were ok. Customer service was more than acceptable. There was a funky smell on the restaurant and cleanliness wise not so great. Parking is available easily in the surroundings. All halal and Pakistani cusine.

This place catered for a party for us. The food was exceptional, all the guests really really enjoyed it. The price that we paid was also brilliant and was lower than 2 other quotes we had. The service we received was faultless, great communication, and so flexible with our requests too. Would recommend and would definitely use for catering parties again in the future.
