Nice Very decent cuisine for this “island” 😜 Attentive service, even too much (in fast mode even though we are not in a hurry)

Excellent Sunday lunch. Good choice of starters. The Thai fish cake was spicy and filling. The roast dinner was lovely and plentiful and we were brought extra vegetables and gravy. We unfortunately couldn’t find room for a dessert! The staff were friendly and attentive. Our first visit but won’t be our last!

Superb stay at the hotel….the room was very comfortable, with some lovely added extras, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was superb! Possibly the nicest breakfast we have had in a hotel, with plenty of choice on offer. We particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. We will most definitely be back!

A group of us booked the Pink Afternoon Tea in aid of Giving in Pink and it was fantastic, great service from the Restaurant manager, George and the team in the bar - so friendly and attentive. The tea was lovely and we had little boxes to take some home as there was so much food - great to have a little savoury as well.

Went for a late Sunday lunch. Really enjoyed the food and great service from Chris at the bar. Can recommend.

Arrived and had a drink at the bar which was very nice, really pleasing to have subtle background music playing at a good level. Service was okay, relatively efficient, but never seemed to go above. Food: Starters: Had the scotch egg and was very nice, believe everyone else was happy with starters. Mains: This was a real let down 3 had the monkfish, 3 had steak. Having been one who had the monkfish it's got to be up there with one of the worst main meals I've had (both tasteless and overcooked), additionally 2 out the 3 of those who had the monkfish had it repeat on them. The only saving grace on my meal choice was that those who had steak also voiced there disappointment. Dessert: Fortunately there was some redemption and the chocolate parfait was delicious. Overall it was a real mixed bag, but given it wasn't a cheap meal I was left pretty disappointed. Finally if there was one major thing that should change I would definitely take the monkfish of the menu immediately.

The crab tagliatelle on the other hand was the opposite- it was too sweat and too hot( too many chilliest in the dish) Tart tartin was average- a different method with the top not being crispy but inducing the same effect by sprinkling broken biscuits over the top. Service was mostly attentive but distracted by the large party. Thank you for your response dated 20/9- we did feedback to the Waitering staff at the end of the meal and she was going inform the chef of our unhappiness with the meal and suggestions.

Staff were polite helpful, excellent service, we had a gentleman's Tea, if there something that you don't like they will change for you for something else that they have available on that day, would highly recommend this, great venue

Great Sunday 3 course lunch menu, tasty food and good value for money.

On checking out places for a pre-theatre dinner we chose the Laguna as it was close by and the menu looked very varied. We were not disappointed as the food was excellent and well priced as were the puddings. Great to see excellent service too which is rare these days. The maitre d' was excellent as were the rest of his staff and great to see someone who knows how to provide great service and look after his guests. Would definitely eat here again. Only one criticism is that, whilst I understand 'mood' lighting which works well in the restaurant, the rest of the hotel was very dark and gave a bit of a gloomy feel to what should be a welcoming hotel.

Sorry, I can't comment on food as I didn't have any, but what I saw going by looked good.

Great food and exceptional service.

A wonderful dining experience for our 10th anniversary. The staff were friendly, funny and very professional. How nice it was that our waiter opened the wine early allowing it to breath while we finished our other drinks, a very nice touch indeed. Our starters were so nice, I had the pate and it was a very generous portion, if anything there was probably slightly too much pate to toast, but it was so delicious it really didn't matter! Chicken with spinach and mozzarella for main and the mash was the best I'd ever had. Everything about the meal was great, the service was superb and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something that little bit more upmarket and special. Thanks to everyone who made the experience so great.

I had a late Fathers day meal with my 10 year old girl. The service was impeccable and the bar staff made us feel very welcome and made my 10 year old very special drink for her on request. Food was excellent as always, great conversation with the server, she was super cool with my little one. 100% going again very soon!!

We had afternoon tea to celebrate my sisters birthday. Everything went off perfectly. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. Everyone had a great time. Would highly recommend for lunch and dinner as well.

The restaurant has very good food. It also has an interesting wine list with some diversity. The service from the staff was excellent. Prompt service and they seemed to love what they are doing. It is a restaurant we would return to.

We had the afternoon tea as part of the Relax Spa Experience package. The staff were fantastic - we all had different dietary requirements (regular, dairy free and vegan) and they were very helpful and considerate in preparing the food. The little hot food selection and sandwiches were fantastic, and both the dairy free and vegan substitutes were delicious. The freshly baked scone was everybody's favourite. The dairy free and vegan dessert plates were disappointing though, we didn't end up eating any of them. Lovely choice of teas to choose from and the dining room is very well presented. Decently priced and a fun experience.

Had a meal here on 22nd December 2022. Firstly it was comfortable and clean. The bar staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating. Excellent service. The food was absolutely fantastic. We bought a package of spa treatment and meal. The £5 olive bowl only has 10 olives, they charge extra £10 for the sirloin to have a tomato, mushroom and fries, which is included in the price with the chicken and the fish. They forgot to bring the bread for the soup. I definitely wouldn't go back.

Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, good massage and lunch was very nice (the afternoon tea looked good too!) All in all relaxing and pretty good value. Only oddity was being told it wasn't possible to have a glass of prosecco because glasses weren't allowed, yet there were water glasses and glass bottles of water and juice in the relaxation room, fine to have a no alcohol policy but don't pretend it's something else. We had a lovely time regardless
