Best italian i have ever been to. The main staff have been there years. Food and service is great. Been coming here 10+ years. Amazing.

I came in to order a pizza. I was pointed to where to go without looking me in the eyes or speaking to me. The rudest old man I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Clearly thinks he is better than customers. So after that charade I did order a 12” pizza to takeaway. The pizza was terrible. It was overloaded with toppings and therefore had a wet soggy base. It was not cooked properly. I would love to teach this place how to actually make pizza but I get the impression they could be too arrogant to listen.

Foccacia Piccante and Pollo Capello were good.

Little disappointed with the Halloumi starter as it had gone soggy and a little cold, but that can’t be helped in transport. Everything else was absolutely delicious! Thank you very much! Looking forward to our next visit.

Seafood on pizza was off and smelled terrible. The rest of the meal was good but serving off seafood is unacceptable.

I don’t know how they think it’s acceptable to deliver such inedible veal. I wouldn’t even think there would be an animal alive that could stomach such veal unless it was starving to death.If you value food that can be eaten then you should really avoid. The spaghetti was at least edible, but not tasty. Overall quite shocked how the standards of this once upon a time nice restaurant has crashed. Please somebody have a word with the chef before somebody is poisoned by such ‘food’!

Found what looked like a steal bristle in my food. Just glad I seen it before I tried any. Chucked the full lot away no idea what this was or how it ended up in my food but it looked sharp so glad I didn't digest it or my children. Absolutely disgusted

The food was so delicious. Ambiance was also good. The prices are little bit high.

Sometime the pasta has big chunks of onion or tomato throughout which it usually doesn’t. Can really put me off. Otherwise it was delicious

Tremendous food and different but very very good lemonade. The pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza is spicy but we liked it that way. Also a very wide range of Italian food etc. (Penne, pasta and pizza.) The restaurant is very busy (a little) cold but other wise the restaurant atmosphere is good. The staff are very friendly, there are a range of staff coming from different countries so easy to communicate to if you speak another language. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well deserved 5 star 👍👍👍

Excellent service, very attentive, without being overbearing. Food very tasty, and good sized portions. Very relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and re-visit.

The food was basic and nothing special

Top notch. I went Pescatarian this time around and everything was fresh and delicious. Regardless of the menu, you can ask for whatever you fancy and the boss man owner will make sure you get it. Full portion too much? Easy, ask for a half portion. Wine selection etc is excellent and whilst I want a glass and an aperitif and a liqueur, I tend to drive so am happy with the non alcoholic Peroni and red wine. Even the tablet with the large cup of coffee is great and the boss man usually slips in extra. He oversees a number of La Vitas but always appears and has a chat. It's not expensive for what you get. It is noisy but which Italian is not? Dine in is excellent. Take away is the same food (tip: order and collect yourself) and superb value. Delivery is available but personally have not tried it. There is a car park behind the shops. Parking at the restaurant may be restricted. But not far to walk. Space is a little restricted but the Staff will move tables when possible. Disabled toilet.

Roast beef lunch was tender and tasty. Not so the Yorkshire pudding which was neither. Funghi a bit too fritti.

We've been eating here for over ten years now and have never been disappointed. Keep up the great work. 👍

Arrived earlier than expected but sadly did not come close to living up to previous experiences with this restaurant. The garlic bread was ‘damp’, can’t think of a better word as wasn’t toasted that much and was in a foil bag so it had just steamed itself crazy, but sadly the garlic bread was one of the better items. The pizza was awful, and it was incredibly salty with a strange herby taste that neither of us could put our fingers on, but suffice to say it wasn’t pleasant. The arrabbiatta pasta didn’t look or taste anything like the arrabbiatta pasta which we have had in the restaurant a number of times before. It was also incredibly salty. All in all a really disappointing experience as we ended up throwing almost everything out. Have to say, just for balance; that we’ve had home deliveries from here before and they’ve always been good. We’ve also ate in the restaurant many times and had always been very good so I guess we chalk this up to an off night and move on.

Pizzas took over 25 min from when it said they had been collected - chips stone cold - both pizzas barley warm - One pizza was burnt underneath beyond usual pizza oven marks - the pizza tasted very burnt. So disappointing - salad nice otherwise a waste of money unfortunately - usually like the food from here but won’t order delivery again

Like restaurant dinner at home! A nice variety of high quality starters and lovely pasta - not mean with the scallops either, which makes a massive difference to feeling you are getting a good quality meal. Delighted 😊

Slow delivery (over an hour) and food was delivered was completely the wrong order. Took another 45 minutes to deliver the correct order. Food was okay.

Garlic bread tasted rotten and acidic, lasagne portion was very small compared to normal and food arrived cold. Huge dip from previous times eating from here

We got the family meal deal and there was plenty for a family of 3 adults. The food was delicious and piping hot when it arrived. The flavours were amazing! Definitely will order from here again.

Ate in the Newton Mearns restaurant for lunch today. No mention that the Daily menu was not available and when speaking to the waiter about it he just walked away. The waiter serving us was very rude which was a shame as the other staff were lovely and the food was delicious. I don't think I will return for that very reason.

My partner and niece spotted the restaurant. This was our first time there. The food was spot on and I cannot fault the food at all. It was very busy the evening we went. So that speaks volumes itself. People obviously have been before and returned. Big menu so be prepared for some pondering. Ask the waiting for advice if you need any. Despite so many people (almost full) the service was fast. This will be on our list of restaurants to return to 👌 Second visit just as good 👌

Not as good this time round I am afraid. By the time we got the order it was freezing and cheese on pizza was congealed - clearly very busy but making food sub standard. Suggest more staff to keep up with the normal high quality (sorry)

Hello our French fries haven’t been delivered

Hot, delicious and well prepared dish.

The brisket and latke dinner is a TRIUMPH! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Wait time is often long (because the food is great!) But worth the wait. Treat yourself!

Ordered nice and early with a delivery time of 8:30 as got kids. Arrived at 8pm when putting kids to bed. Garlic bread was soggy and pizza was too doughy.

Usually really good food, but takeaway pizza was undercooked and tasted / looked quite bad. Also always seem to be served by the same guy with the most stinking attitude when sitting in.

Disappointed to hear a member of staff getting into trouble in front of customers. Not the right place to do that on restaurant floor!!

No food here after ordering 2 hours ago , la vita claims they only got order 20 mins ago although they had accepted order 2 hours ago , not the first time I’ve heard this from them so if your hungry I would probs go somewhere else .

Order never showed up even although I got confirmation notification that it had left the restaurant and was on route to me. Restaurant claimed to have not received order despite the notification food was on way to me and did not offer to get me any food. Just a short “call just eat”. Pretty awful service from somewhere we use regularly. Very disappointed to be honest.

Very delightful authentic Italian restaurant, the chicken is also halal, food is delicious.

The early evening menu is fabulous value! Eat 2 courses & a drink for under £15. Where can you get better quality food at better value?! Lovely staff as always. Great atmosphere. A real gem in Newton Mearns.

Family meal, service was great. I had the lasagne which was beautiful a few I was with weren't so keen on what they had. All in all a lovely place and will definitely return.

What’s happened to the portion sizes of pasta? Was Absolutely tiny last night! They used to fill up the container to the top.

What's the big deal? Food was strictly average. I had seafood pasta with a tomato sauce which was not very distinguished. Unattractive eye appeal and not very tasty. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Good place to meet friends.

The risotto was far too salty, could not even eat.

DISGUSTING; Service was awful, 5 staff members having a chat amongst themselves leaving us to stand at the front door. When we were eventually greeted as if we were interrupting a funeral. Sat down and when the food came out it had the additive of a giant curly black hair. Worst part about it was an apology for the horrible plate of food never came, it was as if this was the norm and they would just quickly rectify things (which was even more suspicious). This place comes across as if it was a nice place back in the day but lazy uninterested owners who prefer to just sit down have allowed the standards to plummet. Absolutely would not recommend!!!

My family and I got a takeout for 6 people. This is the only time I have ever received a takeaway where I’ve had to reheat the pasta, re-fry the chips, add our own tomato sauce to the pasta as it was dry. We even had to call and ask for our order to be completed as the restaurant did not complete it correctly. The staff apologised sincerely and sent out or order (eventually). However, this is not the first time we’ve had this issue with this restaurant.

Great food and excellent service

The base of both pizzas were burnt and over baked. They went out to the seagulls and I used frozen pizzas instead. Before leaving this review I contacted the restaurant and provided pictures for their comment. I had to follow up before I was left a voice message to confirm that they should not have left their kitchen like that. No offer of refund or any other goodwill gesture.

Highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious whether eating in or takeaway. Food freshly made, delicious and piping hot on delivery.

I have had carry outs from here for years. Recently the food isn’t a patch on what it used to be. Last weeks was so spicy it was inedible and tonight’s was tasteless. 2 different dishes.

Extremely well looked after from start to finish.

Delivery driver said the order was paid. I said no no it’s cash payment. He said no it’s definitely been paid. It says it on the slip. I said okay I must have selected card payment instead of cash. Next day someone from the restaurant banging on my door. So loud when when husband works nightshirt so sleeps daytime. Lucky I was getting out my car and my husband didn’t need to answer the door. Shouldn’t bang on people’s door in such a manner. A phone call would have been more appropriate and would have rectified your drivers mistake.

Nice Italian restaurant. It has a good selection of menus to pick from depending on the time of day you are eating. The pizza's are hand made and are excellent.

Phoned me once it rang three times as I answered the phone I was hung up on I waited the allotted delivery time. I then phoned the restaurant to ask where my delivery was I was told to send again they wanted another £4. When I told them about the phone call the manager took the phone started shouting saying he phoned read the restaurants number out which hadn’t phoned and wouldn’t let me speak when I told him the number that phoned once and hung up. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful before saying he won’t argue even though he had been shouting down the phone.
