What a great find. Lovely Italian restaurant. Very welcoming staff. Even the owner came to greet us. The food was served quickly and there was plenty of wonderful choices. The food was great - couldn’t fault it. I had cod beautifully cooked with spinach and cheese and plenty of it. Husband had marinated beef which he said was great. Definitely recommend and we are going back.

Just had a nice meal here with wife and are daughter and hir boyfriend the food was very good and the services was good to had a fab time and would recommend this for a good meal out would go back agen

Had a fabulous meal her on Saturday night. The service was exceptional starting from the moment we entered to when we left. Our first time here. The waitress had an encyclopedic memory and described all the chef's specials and asked if we had any dietary requirements, always a good thing today. The presentation of my starter lacked a bit of finesse and the tartare sauce was average but the main was excellent. My wife opted for a vegetarian main and said it was lovely and left a clean plate. Happy to return or recommend . Good value too.

'Little Italy', what can I say?My wife and I with our two children had a fabulous meal out at La Terraza. It was our first meal out post COVID and was excellent. We were early which was no trouble and looked after perfectly thereafter. The Service was lovely and a big shout out to the attentive waitress with the 'dickybow'! She made our night.The food was prompt, hot and fresh with the Pizza a blessing for our daughter. The desserts were really tasty and not overwhelming. It's always a lottery when you choose to eat somewhere when on holiday but there were no regrets for us.Thank you.

We visited on Friday 28th January in a group of 5. We were welcomed by Katherine who was very friendly. The restaurant was quiet and we liked the sound of so much on the menu and the delicious sounding daily specials. The Chef Paulo offered to create a sharing banquet after asking each of us what we really liked or didn't like. We were then given a feast of different starters and mains each of which was absolutely delicious. We felt very welcome by Paulo and the team and will definitely be back. #Pauloisback

Would not recommend. Service was appalling, very rude and abrupt. Waited two hours even though pre booked. Pizza come with a side of plastic, which when took to till the lady fished her hands in the pizza to remove it ( still charged for this ) tried overcharging us, then went round asking for a penny that we owed. Will not be returning unfortunately.

The old atmosphere has gone, the decor is cold and the plates too hot. The food was delicious as always.

Lovely staff, clearly interested in your dining experience. Food - garlic bread & pizza really good, think fluffy base, hot, fresh with plenty of toppings; chicken breast in tomato sauce okay, chicken moist but sauce was a bit like passatta, penne with chicken and pesto, penne delicious, al dente & tasted homemade, pesto a bit vinegary, possibly not homemade?? Scoops of ice cream are ENORMOUS lol! Lemoncello on the host at the end a nice touch.

I recently dined here and was blown away by how delicious everything was. From the garlic bread to the sea bass... delectable! I would highly recommend booking a table here if you're in the local area. Not to be missed.

Had dinner here last night, with my husband, daughter and son in law, we all thoroughly enjoyed the starters, the main meals were excellent and the tiramisu was to die for, in fact if I ever return to the area I shall not bother with starters or mains just order 3 courses of the delicious dessert.The service was excellent staff were friendly and courteous, a real gem of a restaurant, good food great atmosphere, superb value for money, thank you for a great evening.

Delicious homemade proper Italian food! We ate here as a family of 4. Was a little worried as it was quiet but fear not this place is really delicious! 4 starters, 4 mains, 1 dessert and 4 alcoholic drinks and 2 soft drinks for £102. Excellent value food but more importantly it tasted wonderful. So lovely to be served and cooked by Italian people too! Lovely friendly service, where nothing was too much. Would definitely visit again.

Really delicious authentic Italian food, and a lovely warm welcome to this small restaurant which deserves to do well. A little more TLC to the decor would improve the atmosphere, but the food and service certainly made up for it!

Had a lovely meal in this restaurant, the atmosphere was friendly and it was clearly family run, there were plenty of customers on a Thursday night. The food was good and there were some interesting specials - I had welsh lamb in a sauce, my wife is a vegetarian and found plenty of choice.In the evening I think this is the best place to eat in Newtown

We really enjoyed our visit to La Terazza. This authentic, independent restaurant was a real find. We really enjoyed the food. We had two-courses which were both delicious, with generously sized servings.The welcome and service from the owners was genuinely warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is unpretentious and has a relaxed and down-to-earth ambience.It is worth seeking out this little Italian gem in Newtown.

We had a delicious meal here last Wednesday evening whilst holidaying in a caravan nearby. The service was friendly and efficient, without being over-bearing. We had mixed breads and garlic bread with mozzarella to start - I really enjoyed my garlic bread and it was so fresh and hot. The mains followed promptly afterwards: I had the spaghetti carbonara and my partner had the lasagne; both were excellent and tasted very authentic. I had profiteroles for dessert and they were fantastic - served with meringue and whipped cream, and a lovely chocolate gelato. My partner had the tiramisu which she also really enjoyed. Both were well-presented. The complimentary limoncello was a lovely finishing touch. I’d recommend booking as although it seemed quite quiet on the Wednesday evening, I hadn’t managed to get a table at short notice the day before.

Delicious dinner, very friendly staff who made good recommendations and had excellent knowledge of the dishes. Great value for money too.

Extremely accomodating to our needs of dining early as we were passing through in our way back to Lancashire. Quick service, very good food, liked the parmesan bake waffer on top of the pasta don't see that usually. Very good carbonara and dessert of carrot and almond cake. Coffee was great quality too. Reasonably priced. Would definatley try again if ever passing through Newtown and would be tempted to try the specials next time...

We visited La Terrazza after struggling to find good vegan options elsewhere and we absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, with numerous options for us to choose from. My partner had the vegan Carbonara which he said was amazing!! The staff were also very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely return if we were in the area again.

We visited for a date night. Absolutely blown away with the whole experience. The starter (bruschetta), mains chicken and salmon, dessert and house wine were so delicious. The personal touch made all the difference. So nice not to be a chain!! Such gorgeous food, not rushed, perfect ambiance and temperature and the hosts were so friendly and approachable it made all the difference and completely added to the experience. Can't wait to come back again very soon.

The customer service was fantastic, and the staff were so helpful, especially because we hadn’t booked!We had a starter and a main. The gluten free options were great, as I was looking forward to having a pasta dish! I picked the special for the night!My husband just had to try the Calzone, as he’d heard great reviews about it, and was not disappointed! Superb meal. 3 courses. Arranchini and mushrooms for starters. Main course special wild boar ragu and lemon pork with seasonal veg and rosemary potatoes. Rounded off with tirimusu and cheeseboard. It was £10 but would easily serve 2. We will be back to enjoy traditional food. Great hosts too.

We popped by here for lunch randomly on way through Newtown. The staff (family run) were super welcoming and friendly - they gave us some appetisers whilst the oven heated up (not a long wait at all). The calzones were delicious!! Possibly the best I've ever had! Would definitely recommend this place!

The service and food were excellent, i had sea bass which I’ve got to say was the best i have ever tasted it was fabulous.They managed to fit seven of us in at short notice too.All the meals were delicious and everyone was happy.Will definitely go again,we would highly recommend it.

We dropped in for lunch after driving past and liking the look of the place. There wasn't a lunch menu available but we just ordered a starter each and a few sides. I had caprese salad and my husband had meatballs which came in what looked like little Yorkshire puddings and were tender and delicious. Generous portions, friendly service. Their fennel bread was especially nice. If I was being picky I'd say the balsamic vinegar could have been of better quality (was very thin) but we would definitely have returned for an evening meal if we weren't just passing through.

Run by a very friendly young couple who have recently taken over. The menu comprised honest Italian classics and some great specials. I had a Ragu al Cinghiale (wild bore) which was sensational. Fantastic value.

A very pleasant surprise! Last time I visited these premises (1960's), it was a pub typical of the period. Now it is an Italian restaurant operated by Italians and offers a warm welcome and tasty & authentic Italian food. We dined in the early evening and whole initially we were the sole customers, it soon filled up! Popularity is the best recommendation! Will definitely return..

Booked here last minute as I desperately wanted some Italian and I was not disappointed. My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our starters and mains, we shared a dessert as the plates were filling :) (a good thing). The food tasted great and the waitress was lovely. We were given a complimentary shot of sour lemonade at the end which was a nice touch. Overall really enjoyed this place and would recommend it for a pleasant dinner! 9/10

We had amazing food at this lovely Italian restaurant. It beats any chain restaurant. The menu was full of delicious choices, it was a struggle to choose one thing. The waitress who served us, Anita, was very lovely and welcoming. It was lovely to visit somewhere which served real authentic Italian food. Would definitely recommend visiting this place.

Friendly staff, excellent service & sumptuous food in a lovely setting. Booked over the phone earlier in the week & were warmly greeted on arrival. Excellent selection of alcoholic & soft drinks were on offer & promptly delivered whilst we viewed the menu. Staff were attentive & took a photo for a family occasion in a nearby alcove. Starters were tasty (I had the bruschetta) & reasonably priced & the pasta main course was excellent too. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Under £40 for 2 x starters, 2 x mains & drinks, excellent evening!

The most amazing food I have had in a very long time

Visited here with my wife. Authentic Italian restaurant. The waitress had just enough English to tell us about the specials. Good service. Excellent food and exceptionally well cooked.The waitress was rushed off her feet a bit but there were quite a few people in and she was on her own. She copied really well though.Would definitely return.

This is a gorgeous little Italian restaurant that serves the tastiest pizzas and a selection of beautifully prepared daily special. We were welcomed on our arrival by the chef who talked us through the menu and specials. We were here for a lunch and I chose one of the pizzas, while my wife went for the Ragu. All food is clearly freshly prepared but the wait was totally worth it. The pizza had the perfect base, not dry but with an excellent flavour and texture. Judy’s Ragu was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce and perfectly cooked spaghetti.The service was excellent and the atmosphere warm and friendly as the Italians do best. We will certainly return!

We had such a fun date night at La Tarrezza - delicious wine, great fishy starters, gorgeous pizzas, then affogato for dessert. It was cosy and relaxed, we felt completely unhurried and well cared for, the staff were so kind and friendly, as we were the last to leave we even got to have an Amaretto nightcap with the chef. Loved it.
