Had a wonderful dining experience! The fresh ingredients stood out, and despite not having a reservation, they managed to accommodate us. The main course was absolutely delicious, prompting plans to try starters next time. The service was attentive, showcasing a keen eye for detail. First visit since it recently changed ownership. Really impressed with the service and food. Adapted a meal size/chilli on request. Calzone, pizza & seafood pasta (photos) all delicious and calamari & the lobster ravioli were fab. Will definitely be back soon!

Simply superb! Made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in until we left. Garlic bread with tomato and mozzarella was piping hot and obviously straight from the oven. My wife opted for the fillet steak whilst I had the duck both served with roasted vegetables, all of which were first class. Would certainly recommend and should we be in Sheffield again wouldn't hesitate to revisit. Thanks

We visited for the first time on Saturday and were not disappointed. The restaurant is lovely inside and very welcoming. The staff and service were excellent. I had a special of goats cheese to start which was divine. I then had steak Diane which was amazingly tasty and cooked to perfection and came with delicious potatoes and vegetables. The tiramisu I had for dessert was also yummy. All the food we had was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. We will definitely be back again!

Visited here many times in the past and always delicious Italian food and great service. My husband had Carbonara and said it was really nice and I had a chicken pizza which was great! We were staying at the Doubletree by Hilton and not knowing the area we had to look through Tripadvisor to assist us in finding somewhere to eat. The reviews seemed very good so we made the decision to give it a go. We were not disappointed, very tasty Italian food and good attentive service.

Visted Ferdinandos last night with a table of 8 for my brothers birthday. Great food and great service Staff ensured we had drinks all the time and that we didnt need anything. Throughly enjoyed my visit. I will defiently vist again and recommend this restaurant to others.

Visited Ferdinandos tonight for the first time and it will not be the last. It’s more than a traditional Italian, not just selling pizza, pasta etc but having a wide range of meat and fish dishes both on the menu and specials board. My wife and I both had risotto paesano to start from the board, and for mains we had duck from the specials and a chicken dish from the menu, both tasted amazing. Unfortunately neither of us could manage a pudding. We had two drinks each and the bill came to just over £50, excellent food at a reasonable price. Perfect.

We had a lovely meal where the choice and quality of food was spot on. We waited a little for drinks but other than that the service was great and the team really attentive. The food was clearly freshly made. The place had a good atmosphere and we felt comfortable. The only reason it isn’t a five star is the lack of a real children’s menu. There were smaller versions of an adult one available but with very little cost reduction so worked out very expensive so couldn’t really justify taking he kids again as family but would certainly return as a couple.

Se trata de traer su propio vino (hacen cerveza de barril y refrescos), así que no olvide su bebida favorita para acompañar su elección del menú. Hacen un menú fijo, que es extremadamente asequible, pero también un extenso menú principal. Elegí las albóndigas picantes para comenzar, que eran muy sabrosas y muy grandes, pero afortunadamente pedimos, y conseguimos un retraso antes de que llegaran los platos principales. Tomé la sopa de pescado, basada en una rica salsa de tomate, bacalao y salmón, vestida con almejas y mejillones con cáscara y una gran cantidad de langostinos grandes. Estaba tan lleno de sabor que me quedé asombrado. Sin lugar a dudas, la mejor sopa de pescado que he probado, ¡y he tenido la suerte de viajar mucho y he disfrutado de la sopa de pescado en muchos países! Recomendaría de todo corazón este lugar a cualquiera.

Al hospedarse en el hotel local, tendrá muchas opciones que requieren solo una distancia a pie. Encontré este lugar en Trip Advisor y fue una gran sorpresa encontrar comida de calidad a un precio decente. Optamos por la comida de 3 platos a las 15. 90 y tomé vino propio del comerciante local al otro lado de la carretera, fácilmente la mejor comida que he tenido en la zona y, sin duda, el mejor servicio de Marcus y Charlie. El plato principal de hígado de pollo fue el plato destacado y también los alrededores eran muy auténticos, se sintieron perdidos durante 2 horas y podrían haber estado en una calle lateral de Milán por todo lo que había conocido, una gran noche. Bien hecho.

My Husband and I have been coming to this restaurant now for a while and every time we have been the food has been excellent, my husband recently celebrated his 60th Birthday at Ferdinando's over 2 weeks with friends and family and they were all very impressed as well, so much that everyone has been back more than once since, with us and other friends and family etc, we find the staff very approachable and very keen to make sure that everything is ok, we both feel that its like going from home to home. I would like to personally thank Fernando's for making my Husbands birthday very special (especially on such a horrible snowy night in March) so much so that everyone who was there are still talking about it. Looking forward to the next time

Went for the first time to Ferdinandos this evening and what a delight! Having lived in the area for many years I am slightly annoyed with myself for not visiting sooner. Delicious, fresh and authentic Italian food. Excellent and attentive staff who gave us a warm welcome will definately visit again.

Visited with family (nephew and Girlfriend, their first visit), the meal was as usual superb. All had starters, 2x bottles of wine (corkage charge), 4x main courses, 4x coffees afterwards. Under £105 for the entire meal, not dis-similar to the usual chain restaurants but the meal was far better. Would recommend a visit. Lovely.

Visited with a couple of friends, owner had a go at my friend for sitting at the wrong side of the table.

My starter was spare ribs (£6.90). Burnt around the edges and I had to scrap the ribs to remove the thick of it. BBQ sauce drizzled all over the plate but not on the ribs and the ribs were dry and quite chewy.

Went last night Saturday the 24th February. Could not fault anything. The staff are great, friendly and excellent service. There were 6 in our party and all the food was superb, we all had different, fish, lamb, pasta & steaks etc the place was really lively with a great ambience, we will be back.......

Food is Good but the service was terrible. We were in there from 8.30pm and got our main course at 10.30om.. This is just not acceptable, especially when we asked for our order to be taken twice but still two other tables orders were taken before ours. They must have been regulars, or that's what we thought... We were on the smallest table near the entrance door, then got asked moved to the bigger table next to us. I think they realised I was not happy....

We have been to Ferdinando's many times and always enjoyed the food. However, having not dined there for a year or so, we recently booked for a Saturday night and really looked forward to it. We both had calamari for starters and it was the worst I've tasted in my life. The batter was thick, heavy and chewy and totally masked the calamari. My husband's see bass main was pleasant apart from lots of small bones in the fish but my seafood pancake was heavy and stodgy with very overcooked rubbery seafood. I'd like to think this was a one off bad experience and must say that the waiters were very attentive.

We had a family meal here at the weekend for my stepdaughter’s 21st Birthday celebration. There were 9 adults, one child and a toddler,( 3 generations to satisfy)so we had an early table. We were made to feel very welcome and the children were made a fuss of which was nice and put us at ease as we weren’t worried about them making a noise!

Stayed nearby for 1 night and couldn't decide whether to eat in the sizzler or in fernandinos, glad we chose the Italian.

Rude staff, confrontational and aggressive. Very cramped place and our party were rushed through our meals as they wanted our table. Before we had sat down we were told what time we had to leave by. I made the mistake of commenting on this at the time and the manager was confrontational that all I wanted to do was leave there and then. A dreadful and very uncomfortable experience. There were ten of us, none of them will ever return

My wife and I decided to dine here as we were passing by, and I am pleased to say that we were very happy we did.

Very nice and friendly. Mum, Dad and I plus three Canadian relatives went out for a meal, and really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly, and were constantly checking that the meals were OK. Generous portions, and plenty of room. it is best to book in advance, we asked for a table by the window when booking, and when we went in, the staff had put two tables together by the window, so there was room for six of us. Is accessible for walking frames and wheelchairs. We didn't need to use the toilets, as we live locally. and came by car.

Arrived at 6.30pm for a family gathering of 8 the restaurant was already busy. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were very quick serving us with our drinks. The Frascati wine was excellent probably the best Frascati I have drank. Food orders were taken efficiently and the starters arrived quickly. I had the smoked salmon cornetti (smoked salmon parcels, stuffed with white crab meat in a zesty horseradish sauce) it was lovely. followed by the sirloin steak strips it was cooked perfectly. I didn't notice it was seasoned with Cajun spices so it was a little Spicy for my pallet. Everyone in the group enjoyed all their food pasta and pizza dishes all excellent also the salmon. shared a delicious desert with my husband, a Tora Della Nonna, (Lemon Creme Patisserie) excellent lovely to share and finish off the meal with a little sweetness! When the Bill came we were surprised how reasonable it was, gave a good tip as it was well deserved. Well done Ferdinando's great food and service looking forward to going back.

This is a regular haunt for my family so I looked forward to trying it out.

I have been to this restaurant twice over the last few weeks and am pretty impressed. My partner and I are very much into our food and do like a nice meal which has a homemade style to it. On my first visit I had sizzling steak which was served with a side salad and some tasty cubed potatoes - simple but delicious. On my second visit I had the slow cooked lamb with a red wine jus and side vegetables and had the Spare Ribs in Chilli as a started - So tasty!

Friendly staff, superb food, a real taste of Italy and at a standard hard to find elsewhere, certainly puts the chain restaurants into touch.

Nice food but nothing special. Owner was too busy looking after friends, family and regulars, staff seemed only interested in tables with 4 or more persons sat at them. Yes the restaurant has moved to the opposite side of the road, but standards are similar. It is a well laid out, clean restaurant but perhaps a meal for two doesn't generate the profit the owners are looking for.

Decided to try this restaurant for a family meal. The place was smaller than I expected and I didn't feel overly welcome. The service wasn't great, we were left quite a while before our orders were taken and once we finished our drinks we had to call the waiter over to ask for more. i had a little bit of wine left in my glass but the waiter left the table quickly without even asking if I'd like a top up.

Al no haber sido nunca antes nos desconocen la política. y. y que sólo o en efectivo o cheque, pero esto no estropeó nuestra noche. La comida era muy buena y sabrosa y entre nosotros nos comimos lasaña, pizza y pollo en salsa de vino blanco. Para el postre, tuvimos tiramusu, tortitas y tarta de manzana. Realmente disfrutamos de la comida, y ahora probablemente volveremos en el futuro.

La última noche fuimos para una celebración familiar. Había 13 de nosotros y no uno de nosotros tenía una mala comida. Muy por el contrario,. . . La comida era increíble. Mi carne y mi marido era genial pasta Fantasia fue el mejor plato de pasta que he probado en mucho tiempo. Mi sobrina tenía el pollo que ella creía que era precioso y mi otra sobrina espaguetis de marisco que tenía muchos mejillones en que el camarero tenía que sustituir la placa que usó para las conchas vacías. Mi hermana dijo que era la mejor lasaña ella había tenido en cualquier restaurante. Creo que entre nosotros nos muestra una amplia variedad de platos y saben sus cosas en cada frente!

Como llegamos en 1800 había casi cualquier ambiente, así que estaba bastante vacío, pero en el momento en que la izquierda en unos 1930 cosas había empezado a recoger. La decoración no es nada especial pero no es hortera o en mal estado. Mi esposa tenía la lasaña boloñesa, que a ella le gustó. Yo personalmente pensé que había una selección limitada de las comidas principales. Pollo no tiene guau, bistec mi elección predeterminada y no soy un fan de pescado. Fui para el cordero a fuego lento, que era muy bueno. La comida venía con algunos granos tostados, miel zanahorias y patatas guisantes/verdaderos asnos; bonita pero nada fantástico. Creo que el cordero estaba sentada sobre una cama de puré, pero por el momento hasta que se evapora, casi en la salsa. Un buen abundante comida que llena un agujero de tamaño decente. El proyecto Menabrea pero no lager en casi 5 libras una pinta bastante cara. Es el 'kipped tener entrantes opté para disfrutar de 2 postres. Soy arreglé para tiramisú, así que elegí esa tarta de pera y pastelería. Tanto agradable pero no pregunto si habían comprado que hecha. . . Una comida agradable y agradable a un precio razonable con entrantes y postres de alrededor de £5 y £10 - 20 principales +. Si me dieran a elegir, prefiero gastar un poco más y viajar a Dronfield y comer en Little Italy, pero me gustaría comer aquí.

Had many a great night here, but went last night and was absolutely gobsmacked, I think new owners have taken over the business. I went as a couple and we ordered our food, a starter and a main, the starter was nice but the main was tasteless and very bland. We had one small glass of wine each out of a full bottle,. Then as we finished our main the owner brought our bill which we did not ask for and thought it was strange. We paid the bill and was enjoying the rest of the bottle of wine when the owner asked us very bluntly to get up from the table and finish as we have other customers waiting, we thought he was joking and carried on talking and enjoying our wine.
