first mealout after restrictions lifted, have had take out from here which was like restaurant dining the food was that good, once again fantastic food, the whole setting reminds me of being in italy brilliant food + the staff couldn’t do more for you, the new garden is so lovely with overhead cover and heaters,i couldchoose anything on the menu + i am sure i wouldn’t be disappointed,king crab ravioli last night was excellent,hubby had meatballs because they are the best we have had, booked to go in june and can’t wait to goback, welldone everyone working so hard to feed us your lovely food!!!!

Its very rare to find a Italian restaurant in Northampton that rivals places I've been to in London and Italy but we finally have one! Amazing food and lovely staff who made sure we were looked after the whole evening. All of the food we had was sublime and we went with a usual fussy eater who said it was the best spaghetti carbonara he had ever had! Will definitely be back soon

Visited La Pazienza on a rainy Thursday night for my birthday. Despite the weather the outdoor garden area is lovely and undercover with heaters. Cosy and dry. Service was professional and friendly. Wine choice was excellent and food was, as expected, was 1st class. Highly recommended. Had a fab night. Will be back soon.

We stayed at Marriott, Northampton on business and decided to venture into Northampton for dinner. My colleague recommended this place as it had good reviews. We were certainly not disappointed as the outdoor area was absolutely fantastic! The welcome from the owner was refreshing and food we had was so good I took the time to write this review. The Seafood pasta was delicious and the prawns were the best I have experienced for quite some time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who enjoy’s quality food and a nice ambience from the outdoor area. We will return the next time I visit Northampton.

Delicious authentic Italian food, very enjoyable sitting outside in the courtyard, plenty of heaters and umbrellas. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, highly recommend!

First time visiting here based on recommendation of a friend. We booked 3 tables for my birthday. Beautiful sheltered outside courtyard with heaters. Food was delicious and we were all served hot food together without delay between tables. Great customer service to ensure we were happy with everything. We will definitely be going back. A great find.

First time here, but will definitely be going back. Delicious home made Italian food, and you can tell the difference. I am celiac, so I can't have gluten which usually means I don't get to try proper Italian food, but gluten free pasta meant I didn't miss out. The owner and his family are so welcoming and the cosy outdoor area with heaters made a great covid- friendly evening. Highly recommend!

Visited the restaurant with the current COVID restrictions meaning that it was outside dinning only. This is no problem at La Pazienza as they have a hidden garden at the rear of the restaurant. This is a beautiful space, tastefully decorated and importantly , given the weather it is well heated. I have eaten here a number of times and I always go with the Chef’s recommended dish , as he never lets you down. Given we were in a garden in April it felt like we were in Italy (although in jumpers) . The Risotto Fungi was beautiful and the Barbaresco wine that we had was stunning (not many restaurants serve this) . We both had the homemade Tiramisu to finish A fantastic first experience of dining out after another long lock down . The owners and staff are excellent and make you feel so welcome

This little restaurant had the nicest undercover garden area with super strong heaters so it was so toasty sitting outside. The waiters were so kind and attentive and the food was delicious! I will definitely be going back

Although the menu may be compact, every dish we've ever tried has been absolutely incredible! We've visited this restaurant on a few occasions and have always been impressed with the quality of the food. We decided to visit again this evening as our first restaurant visit post lockdown and we were not disappointed. Not only is the food exceptional, but the wine list perfectly complements the dishes and the service is personal and heartfelt. Would highly recommend La Pazienza to anyone looking for high quality Italian food cooked and served with love

Finally able to visit my favourite restaurant. Orlando & his team never disappoint- now with a lovely rear garden complete with plenty of heating to keep off the chills. A relaxed atmosphere with well spaced seating. Excellent food as always - a taste of Sicily on the doorstep. See you again soon my friends x

I went to the outdoor part of the restaurant and the ambiance was amazing. The owner really made it feel like you were eating in Italy. He treats his customers very well and all the staff are super friendly. As for the food, me and my boyfriend loved it so much! It was so flavoursome and I'm definitely going to eat here again!! The food is made with love and the owner's grandma's recipes went down a treat. Thank you for a lovely evening!! :)

Had a perfect takeaway meal for our anniversary, having had many memorable meals in the restaurant prior to lockdown. The homemade pesto was amazing on the bruschetta- my husband is normally not a fan, but kept wanting to ‘try’ it from my plate! He loved the scallops starter he had- the sauce was delicious and well balanced.My mushroom pasta had an amazing depth of flavour and silky sauce and was a very generous size portion. The pork ribs were tender and succulent with a sweet and sticky sauce, again with generous portions and a side of baby potatoes.Orlando’s enthusiasm for his food, and desire to please his customers, was still evident even through socially distanced/covid/takeaway times! He makes you feel like an old friend or part of the family, and we look forward to returning to the restaurant garden in the near future to enjoy more amazing meals from this talented chef who’s Sicilian roots are evident in each dish we have tried.Couldn’t recommend higher.

I called the restaurant late last Saturday afternoon with an order for four, our friends had recommended the meatballs especially so my husband had them and really enjoyed them , they came in a tomato sauce with halved new potatoes his plate was cleared of every last piece. I had the smoked salmon pasta in a cream sauce it was absolutely delicious ( I could eat it again right now!) . One of my daughters had the carbonara, clean plate and my other daughter had the vegetarian pizza which she left half of because she was full up then the third daughter who didn't want anything earlier polished it off saying it was gorgeous and would definitely have something to eat next time we order which will be very soon. The food was very hot and on time when I collected it and the owner was lovely and showed me his new outside area for eating which looked amazing so cant wait to eat there with our friends in the very near future.

We ordered a take away for our family Easter dinner. We had a lovely meal consisting of starters, pastas and desserts. There was a good selection of pastas and they also made some dishes specially for the evening. We are looking forward to when they can open officially to be able enjoy the full menu on the establishment. Very happy customers.

Wow... had our first meal from La Pazienza ... definitely won’t be our last! Obvs it was a take away but cannot wait to enjoy the most delicious food actually sat in the restaurant. Great food great service 🤩

We had our first experience of La Pazienza tonight with a takeaway which was amazing! Everything freshly prepared (you can taste the difference) and we were transported back to our Italian and Sicilian trips before lockdown struck. Our Sicilian son-in-law gave it the seal of approval (it reminded him of his Nonna's cooking). We are so excited to find this place and can't wait to dine in the actual restaurant as soon as we're allowed out! Thankyou Orlando and team for great service also, we will definitely recommend.

Had a takeout from here as missing the restaurant experience, absolutely lovely food hubby had meatballs cus thats his fav i had prawn risotto sooo nice can’t wait until the restaurant is open but until then will do the takeout no problem

My family decided that as we could not all be together for my birthday, that we would order takeaway food from La Pazienza and then have a zoom meal. This turned out to be a really wonderful idea.Orlando could not have been more helpful, responding very quickly to my (numerous) emails, and the whole order was dealt with so well. We coordinated collecting our meals so did get to meet Orlando who is such a lovely man. The zoom feast was great,and everyone loved the food they ordered. We had a whole range taking in pizza, pasta, risotto, meatballs, pork ribs, and several different desserts too. The tiramisu was divine! From April 12th they hope to be able to serve meals in their new garden area. We can’t wait to be able to go and eat there as soon as we are allowed to do so. In the meantime the takeaway menu is very highly recommended.

I really cannot praise Orlando and his team highly enough. From initial communication to delivery of our meal last night, the whole customer experience was superb. Orlando went out of his way to deliver when he really didn't have to and the quality of the meal was absolutely fantastic. Our meal was booked to celebrate our daughter's 21st and it really ticked all the right boxes. So much so, that we shall be boooking a table to go and visit once restrictions are lifted. I can highly recommend this place (and already have done so). You will not be disappointed.

What a lovely chap and food absolutely amazing me and the wife wanted a bit of a treat as it's been so long since out to a restaurant phoned these guys up an amazing experience from start to finish and I cannot stress enough how good the food was highly recommended,and when I turned up for collection they family in there all preparing our food was the icing on the cake excellent experience throw out, highly recommended will definitely be visiting again!best steak and scallops I've ever eaten

Well we couldn’t go out and celebrate my wife’s birthday so decided to get a takeaway from La Pazienza and we weren’t disappointed. The steak was superb😀

We were lucky enough to order a lockdown takeaway from La Pazienza. WOW - The quality of the food was stunning. Of the dishes we had the Marsala Prawns were cooked perfectly and the sauce was so tasty. The crab Girasoli was amazing - one of the best pasta dishes we have tasted. The crème brulée was devine. This is a place we will come back to time and time again. A friendly place, with fantastic customer service from Orlando. Thank you so much

Excellent food, tasty, fresh, absolutely beautiful. We ordered a takeaway on NYE and based on the food and service we received, as soon as the restaurant is back open we will be booking a table. The total of my review says it all. I was transported back to a beautiful trattoria in Firenze on New Years Eve thanks to La Pazienza.You thoroughly deserve 5 stars and more.

Amazing authentic Italian The best service, extremely attentive. Couldn’t fault the food ... if you closed your eyes you could have been in Italy! If you want a proper Italian go here! Will definitely be returning!

Amazing food. Orlando who runs the place is a great guy and the service was 1st class. We had the Bruschetta for starters. Highly recommend the Penne con salsiccia affumicata e funghi. The Limoncello was very nice too. COVID 2020 40th birthday well spent!

During lockdown part 2 me and my partner really wanted a nice Italian Friday night date night meal but we were struggling to find somewhere open and that delivered. We came across La Pazienza and I am so glad we did! I contacted the restaurant on the Thursday to place an order for the next day - really smooth process and friendly suggestions on what dessert to have! When it arrived (on time) it was simply delicious!!!! Honestly! The gamberi was Smokey yet sweet and the homemade bread was lovely and fresh! The penne was amazing, would choose that every time! The salmon pasta was really fresh and creamy! For desserts we had the tiramisu and the cannoli - both were traditional and so tasty! My partner actually lived in Italy for a while so this was a real treat for him! Can’t wait to visit the restaurant now lockdown has ended.

Facing a big birthday with no pubs and restaurants open, I called La Pazienza, one of our favourite restaurants in Northampton, and ordered a take away. Excellent food as always, and prepared on time for collection, with even a birthday present too. Thank you Orlando & team for helping to make my birthday a special day.

We came here before lockdown as a couple and both the service and food was amazing. The chef came and spoke to us separately to check we enjoyed the food which was a lovely touch that you rarely get when dining out! We had the takeout recently during lockdown which was equally as good as dining in the restaurant! Absolutely faultless, and will definitely recommend to friends and family

We had a family gathering at short notice and they provided amazing food for us all to pick up and take home. All of it was excellent, the owners could not have been helpful and gave us a lovely bottle of wine to go with the food. I would highly recommend.

Not being local to Northampton I relied on reviews when booking this restaurant. The food was lovely, the owner Orlando made my partner a birthday cake for his birthday which was delicious ( I need the recipe). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is the Prosseco was very over prized £30 for a bottle is insane. Other than that the food was amazing I would highly recommend.

Wow! The best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. We had scallops and mussels to start. Both delicious but the scallops were out of this world, served in a delicious sauce. Had the ravioli filled with crab and tagliatelle with mushrooms and veal for main, once again both delicious but the crab ravioli (girasoli) was mouthwatering and deliciously creamy. Finished with tiramisu which was also yummy. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. Service was outstanding and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere too.

Although a family visit, it was 4 adults who all enjoy their food, and La Pazienza did not disappoint. From the warm welcome and excellent service, to the varied menu and delicious food, we couldn’t fault. We had 2 sharing starters between the 4 of us and we all opted for different mains, all of which were consumed with great relish! Crab ravioli off the specials menu was just superb, the chicken smelt so good it would make anyone’s mouth water, meatballs made a great hearty meal, and the steak was great make no mistake. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

We love Italian food and as we were staying for a couple of nights In Northampton, we decided to do a bit of research and look for a good Italian restaurant. We chose La Pazienza after reading the reviews and all we can say is we had a wonderful evening. The restaurant’s ambience is peaceful and unhurried and the decor makes it very cosy. The menu was really good, lots of good Italian dishes to choose from and something to suit everyone’s taste. It was lovely for us to be able to smell the aroma from the kitchen as dishes were being prepared and cooked. Everything we ate last night was delicious. Thank you Orlando for wonderful service, making us feel welcome and being lucky enough to have experienced your lovely restaurant. We wish you and your family well for today and the future.

An incredible gem of a restaurant hidden in-between a dozen others. From the first step in you are warmly welcomed by the owner Orlando, who then continues to serve and entertain you with just his presence throughout the meal. The food was delicious and entirely homemade, I would encourage you to try 'the lemon soup' and their daily specials. Service was excellent and the atmosphere truly Italian. Great place to go out on a date or anniversary, you can't go wrong with La Pazienza!

We booked La Pazienza wanting to try somewhere new to eat out for our anniversary, and we were not disappointed!!Orlando was really personable from the moment we walked in, the food was incredible with a wide range on offer (it was hard making the decision of what to have!) and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed, it almost felt like we were on holiday.A great independent restaurant that we’d encourage anyone who hasn’t been to give it a try. We’ll definitely be returning!

A small comfortable family run restaurant where the food was fantastic with excellent service all evening. We were spoilt for choice with a range of appealing dishes on the menu, all made to authentic Italian recipes. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out. Food is amazing, cooked to perfection and so tasty. Service spot on and friendly. Absolutely would recommend this place....just don’t, for purely selfish reasons, want it getting too busy and then not be able to get a table in the future as we will definitely be back.

I am not one for reviews, too lazy for that :) but this place deserves some effort! First of all, the service is brilliant, very bespoke and you feel really special. Wines: a shortlist from the finest Italian wines! The food is awesome... from starters to dessert! I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this lovely restaurant. My anual visit to Italy can wait a little bit longer now!

First meal here since lockdown, felt safe and sanitising well managed by staff for everyones safety. Our meals were delicious as usual. I cannot fault this restaurant. Everything is freshly cooked, so expect to wait a short while, but well worth the wait as you will find out when you visit. We will be back again shortly. Many thanks to all at La Pazienza.

Fabulous food and great service which was all done following strict COVID protocols. A lovely Italian restaurant which totally deserves its rating as the best place to eat in Northampton.

We had a table for 6 booked last night. Upon our arrival the restaurant was busy and had good atmosphere. We noted the good level of hygiene and there were adequate procedures in place to protect customers and staff, which made us feel safe. We were quickly seated at our table and menus were handed out. We were waiting for one other guest to arrive for a further 15 minutes which I think was the reason for a delay in taking our drinks order. Once our drinks arrived we ordered our mains promptly, they were very accommodating as we ordered multiple starters to share as a table. The food was well presented and tasted fantastic, we were all very impressed as a group as we enjoyed our meals with some equally lovely bottles of wine. We would highly recommend La Pazienza and will definitely be back soon. Thanks!

We had a meal here (was our first since lockdown) and the restaurant was really well set up for social distancing and felt safe. Staff really friendly, decent menu and really good food. Would highly recommend.

The bruschetta is absolutely to die for. We're local to the restaurant and have been to eat here multiple times and for many special occasions. The food is delicious and the prices are very fair. My husband and I love eating at La Pazienza and bring all our friends to eat here too.Please ignore the reviewer who got the rules of the government's eat out to help out scheme wrong. They were very much mistaken and this is not representative. I love eating here and will shout it from the rooftops. It's a lovely local, family owned restaurant who cook beautiful authentic food.

Please please ignore the ridiculous reviews that have been added here regarding the help out to eat out policy, they clearly have no idea how the scheme works. This place is amazing, wonderful service, real homemade, home style Italian cooking. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. In fact I’ll be back many times in the future this is my new favourite place. Well done La Pazienza!!

Really missed this place during lockdown as the food is amazing. Really welcoming environment and people. Very reasonable prices for the high quality.

Pleasant evening spent at this family run local restaurant last night. Orlando and his staff served delicious authentic Sicilian cuisine with excellently paired wines and beer. Our party had the meat antipasti, garlic ciabatta and Marsala prawns to start followed by pizza, and salmon/porcinimushroom/‘Nonna’s pasta’ for main. We will definitely return soon, but next time, will ensure to leave room for cannoli!

Came for a family meal this evening and have been a few times before so have tried many dishes. Never disappoints. The owner is so lovely and accommodating as was his staff member. The restaurant is authentically beautiful, you almost forget you are on the welly road. Mussels are devine!!! As is all the food. Highly recommend. A wonderful family run Italian that everyone must try!!

The best Sicilian and Italian food I have tasted in a long, long time. And that includes in Italy!Truly delicious food in intimate surroundings, in a small restaurant. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. House red delicious. I can’t recommend this enough, and will return again and again. Authentic in every way. We both ordered seafood starters which both came with lovely crusty bruschetta drizzled with olive oil. We then ordered pasta which was cooked to perfection. They even accommodated my need to add mushrooms to my dish. Staff very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you.

We went as a family celebration last night and the owner made a whole cake just for us to celebrate! All the food was amazing, full of flavour and beautiful presentation.We felt so welcome by the waiter and owner/chef - their love of food and desire to share this with everyone was very evident. This was the first restaurant we visited post-lockdown, and it was a great experience. The restaurant was well prepared, with disposable menus, hand sanitising stations etc.The food was fantastic. We had both starters and mains and would give both courses 10 out of 10. The best food we have eaten for a while.The service was great and we felt really well looked after. It's important to support businesses like this during this challenging time.

Be prepared, La Pazienza is no impostor. It is a a real Italian restaurant, cooking from scratch, using fresh ingredients and serving good quality wines. For our meal, between us, we tried the mussels in white wine and the king prawns in a Marsala wine sauce, followed by the crab ravioli and fillet steak, finished with Tiramisu, coffees and Limoncello. We also had the Gavi white wine.The quality and flavour of everything we were served was second to none and we will most certainly return.The restaurant also has a lovely ambience and the proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We visited La Pazienza on Saturday 1 August 2020 which was our first meal out since lock down restrictions eased. We were not disappointed. The food was as good as ever as was the atmosphere and Orlando has sorted out the social distancing so that we felt really comfortable being there.Cant wait for the garden terrace to be open so that we can dine outside.Would thoroughly recommend you visit. Hopefully the crab stuffed ravioli will be on the specials - its to die for.Enjoy.

First Meal night out since COVID started and what a great little restaurant. Food fantastic. Ambiance fantastic. Social distancing and sanitizer staying within government guidelines, so felt safe.

The warm welcome , the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere- we may be going through a strange time at the moment but I forgot all about this. I am classed as 'at risk'and felt totally safe with all the safeguards put in place.The food was amazing, the chicken and bed of roasted vegetables were cooked to absolute perfection. All the flavours just exploded in my mouth, thyme, oranges, the sweetness of the tomatoes every mouthful was savored and as for the tiramisu, it was totally to die for. I now have discovered Frangelico with cream ( what's not to love ! ) and the limoncello shot was a wonderful way to end the evening. I'm so impressed , I really would reccomend La Pazienza for a dining experience you will never forget. Thank you Orlando and team if I could give you more than 5 *'s I would xx

The place has lovely atmosphere and was very clean. The pizza is beautiful traditional Italian style and was hot and fresh. I had the chicken which was so tender and the the veg was cooked perfectly and very sweet/buttery. My fiancé had carbonara which was very rich and flavoursome. I would definitely recommend going there for authentic Italian food made be Italians. Five stars.

My mum, brother and I decided to have dinner here, after seeing the already amazing reviews - and they were not wrong!Despite the restrictions, the owner was extremely attentive and hospitable, and fully conformed with the social distancing guidelines. The food was absolutely incredible, we had scallops and prawns for a starter, and all had pasta dishes for a main. Whilst the food took a while to be served, this was purely because the chef had put so much care into every dish and we had plenty of wine and attention to see us through. The portions were huge and the quality was second to non. I would recommend La Pazienza to anyone in this area, and make sure you order a pasta dish!!

I'm not one to write reviews, but i fully consider this to be deserving. The owner and his wife are doing an excellent job of adhering to social distancing rules, and managed to still keep the atmosphere of an authentic Italian restaurant. The standard of food was exceptional, with such great care being put into every dish. I could not fault this place, would go again if i were in the area!

Had a takeaway tonight, food delivered by owner and chef. Thoroughly recommend to anyone, will most certainly visit once Covid restrictions are over. This is the first time I have used this restaurant food and will do so in future. I had spaghetti carbonara, it was lovely and creamy. Thank you for making a lovely evening.

Well what can I say? Was looking for a nice Italian Restaurant for a takeaway and stumbled across La Pazienza on Facebook, a local business that had branched out into delivery during lockdown, and thank goodness they have! Really varied menu, great communication and reasonably priced. I like that you have to order a day in advance to ensure you get freshly cooked meals and boy were we not disappointed. The food arrived on time, was a really generous portion size and was piping hot. Delicious, authentic, Italian food delivered to your door- yum! Will definitely be making a visit to the restaurant as soon as it reopens, until then, I encourage everyone to give it a go!

This week's takeaway was from La Pazienza on Wellingborough Road, a small intimate Italian restaurant that we love going to. The farfalle al salmon affumicato e panna is to die for. We're looking forward to going back as customers when this is all over. In the meantime, please support your local businesses and restaurants. Xx

Our first time at this little family-run gem, and a wow experience. The chef/owner Orlando cooks everything from fresh including the bread. It was a truly authentic Sicilian taste with lovely sauces throughout. The portions are huge, and although the menu is not that extensive there is enough variety. The pizzas looked great but we had pasta and fish, both excellent. Our starters of mussels and scallops came with lovely presentation and taste. A super place with personal service, Orlando even lowered the lighting for us as we felt it a bit bright! If you love Italian go there and enjoy!

My favourite food is Italien, this surpassed expectation. Everything is homemade and you can absolutely taste it, even the pesto is homemade. We did have to wait but to be honest if it is this fresh and homemade I would rather wait and it was absolutely worth the wait! The service was very friendly and the chef and owner came to talk to us. Cannoli homemade and delicious need I say more. Having given Sofias only 1 star, it is lovely to have a local Italien I can really rate and this is somewhere I will return to again and again. Authentic Italien In Northampton is alive and kicking and fabulous!!!!

Lovely place, great food, excellent service. A top drawer place all round. Loved it. Spent a wonderful evening here with friends, vibrant atmosphere without being to noisy, a simply great time had by all.

Again, last week we were treated to a tastebud delight. The food is always so fresh, the quality exceptional and the menu choice hard to choose from as you know each dish is going to be fabulous. Portions are generous, in particular the pasta dishes..The family are welcoming and very friendly. At this visit I had the meatballs in tomato sauce with roast potatoes - one of those meals you don’t want to end - delicious.Thank you for your hospitality - we will be back very soon

Visited this little gem last night for my wife's birthday.We received a warm welcome. Was asked to sit a short while, while our table was being prepared. When sat, our order was taken swiftly, drinks brought promptly.For starters we had the mussels which were delicious and very tasty.For mains, the wife had Carbonara and I had the mushroom risotto. Both meals were presented well and tasted divine.The chef made regular visits to the diner's tables checking everyone was happy with their meals.All staff were very helpful and informative. Great restaurant with excellent service and quality of food. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.We look forward to returning in the near future.
