La Mancha in Rochdale

This is our New place to go.... OMG. Never had Tapas before. The food was excellent along with the service. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was dreading the bill coming we had so much food and that was a pleasant surprise also. Very reasonable for four people. Would definitely recommend a meal here.

Despite the problems they had during the day... a leak, electrical faults then 1 of the ovens blowing up resulting in some dishes not being available , it did not dampen the atmosphere...there was even a brass band! The food was excellent as was the service, hats off to them all!

Good food, wasn't asked if we wanted desert or coffee and we had to leave as someone else wanted the table, which spoiled the end of the night.

Would give it no stars if could. The waitress was asked if they had cider she said I don't know look at the menu . I asked for a house wine and she said err no idea. WHAT?? The garlic bread was 99p savers frozen baguette the patatas bravas in some weird ketchup the onion rings no taste whatsoever again frozen AVOID. Not cheap and the staff literally no idea

Whatever you do, don't order on an empty stomach, you'll end up with way too much! We ordered 10 dishes between the 2 of us and couldn't eat everything, 6-7 would be plenty as portions are good. Cocktails were great, and the staff were friendly. Only downside is that it was ridiculously hot in there and noisy because it was so busy, but apart from that, a great little venue and good food

Wow what can I say! I was told by this place by a friend from work and I can say I’m really impressed, fantastic range of tapas for everyone with great value, very friendly staff with excellent food, will be coming again!

I love this place and it's been far too long since my last visit. I actually got my booking wrong and turned up on Friday rather than Saturday, the member of staff I spoke to seemed genuinely upset for us and tried to fit us in somewhere, but the place was already full. We returned on the correct day and had a wonderful meal, with great service as there is always a member of staff close by. I'm already planning my next visit.

We go to many Tapas restaurants both home and away in Spain… this was another level.. most definitely the best in England’s northwest and this place would give any place in Spain a very good run for their money. Sensational flavours, good portions and ambience to die for Big shout out to the staff and most definitely the chefs Top Drawer

Have been here a few times, love the food and prices are reasonable. Only problem is, they don't cater for wheelchair users. Even asked if we could order a meal to collect, was told they're too busy to do that.

Waited for ages to receive our order. Think some of the food was ok but not special. A couple of dishes were flavourless. The drinks were a bit expensive. On.the whole not worth the money we spent. Might be a while before we return. Sorry not impressed 😕

Excellent food and service. One of my favourite restaurants in the Rochdale area. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment as it's a popular, busy restaurant.

Always very busy, so best to book. Food is delicious. We always get too much but you can take away with you. I love it here.

Visited here Friday for the first time we had a table of 8 and all ordered between 4-5 dishes each and all the food came out at the same time all of it was hot and absolutely delicious! Those garlic potatoes oh my god! It’s a very cozy place but you don’t feel rushed the staff were lovely and attentive! Drinks are a bar service which is better if you are splitting a bill then it’s only food to do that with! Parking isn’t amazing not the fault of the restaurant I think that is just the town centre itself! I will definitely be coming back!

Down a small street just of the Butt's in Rochdale Town centre you'll find a hidden jem of a place. Small and cozy they serve fantastic Tappas. The food is wunderful & tasty. Not expensive. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Lovely Tapas place that's been there for years. Portion size per dish is just right. You'll need about three per person. The staff are friendly and attentive. Charlotte waited on our table and she was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Came here on an early Saturday evening, place was absolutely packed and you can see why, the food was absolutely outstanding, great service and excellent value for money.

Great little place. Great its been open so long. Had a lovely tapas last week and nicely priced.

Sunday afternoon/eve, arrived for our 6:45 reservation. Place is nice, quite smart....but staff needed to be prompted to take our food order....and then waited a good 45 mins for the food to arrive. No comms from staff re waiting time. A brief explanation would have been nice! Got the impression that they had limited kitchen staff, as only seemed able to serve orders one table at a time. Once food arrived it was great, couldn't fault it. Just need to sort out customer service and communication with people and it would be a better rating. In response - Yes I was part of a table of 5. As I say, I cannot fault the food.....but if you are limiting bookings and experiencing delays in food prep/delivery, then I think your customers should be made aware of this and kept updated by staff. Thanks for your reply.

Love la mancha food was soooooo good it has a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff! We went on a Saturday and it was quite busy but still got everything we asked for

Best tapas I've had. The quality of the food was excellent, service was great and it is really good value for money. We had 9 dishes between the two of us and enjoyed every one. Good portion sizes too. Will definitely be back here, looking forward to it.

The food was mediocre at best. Previous review mentioned Aldi baguette for garlic bread, I thought exactly the same last night. The prawn dishes were all from frozen prawns, swimming in water, the rest of the food were microwaved. Convinced they were no better than a ready meal. The service was truly shocking. The minute we got there, we were putting the waitress out by having a table booked and her having to show us to it. At the end of the evening, another waitress slammed a takeaway box on the table for us to scoop our left overs in, then walked off muttering something under her breath when I questioned why they were not able to do this for us. She then made her way over to bar to join a harem of other waitresses where they proceeded to stare at our table, whispering and laughing about us. Not sure why the reviews are good for this place, I can only assume that with a lack of decent places to eat in Rochdale, it’s just one of the least worst.

Food was nice, building is lovely, but service poor - asked for drinks order but offered no drinks menu, so no idea of cost or range available. Food nice , but nothing special. Staff seemed like couldn’t be bothered- no checking for refills, no asking if everything ok and no thank you on payment.

My husband and I had our Anniversary meal there on friday night and the evening was perfect. Been going to la mancha's for years. Fantastic food , fantastic service as always. Would highly recommend 5⭐

Nice eatery often visited in it's early years. Nicely tucked away. Food is ok but now a tad expensive. Very small facilities. In desperate need of updating. Same decor for last 30yrs, tired surroundings!! Looks very dated and tired. Lots of choice on the menu.

Quite expensive for what you get and the quality is not all that . Service is a bit hit and miss . We went at dinner time and it felt like we were in the way .

Sorry, I’ve no idea what all the hype is about. The food is ok, the place is nice little hideaway type, staff are ok. To be honest it’s not Spain, and the food is not Spanish! I would say it’s actually the other customers who in my humble opinion are pretentious.
