La Latina Bustaurante in Cambridge

I've been coming here and bringing friends for a few years now and it's always been a enjoyable, reasonably priced meal. It also has vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Highly recommend.

Great colombian food! The service is quick and the arepas are delicious. This place deserves a lot of more positive reviews and a higher spot in best restaurants in Cambridge. Great for something different and to try a completely different type of delicious food

Delicious food, great hospitality, very authentic atmosphere. The downside was that we had some difficulty locating the ‘bus’. As we found out later, the double decker bus is under renovation and they opened a restaurant on the top floor of the shopping mall.

Comfort street food! Fresh well seasoned, amazing flavours coupled together and just wow! We popped in for a late lunch, a quick alternative to the typical chain options available and this certainly didn’t disappoint! We were greeted with smile, seated and talked through each dish. Great advice, great choices, cannot recommended enough!

I dropped my daughter off in town and had some time to kill so I decided to check out La Bustarante. This time in the Grafton Centre - it was located in an actual bus last time I visited The coffee was great as was the empanada too. Well worth a visit

We visited here for the first time today and ordered the la latina for two. Every part of the food was delicious. The service was great and we can't wait to come back again!

What an amazing experience and value for money. The tostones were beautiful and the empanadas were to die for. Not only that but Gluten free and they even had almond milk. We'll be back and if you haven't yet you need to go they have a location in the Grafton Centre next to the Vue entrance.

Unplanned lunch with two children. Very warm welcome and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend eating here. We’ll be back.

We came to Cambridge for our anniversary and found this place randomly online. All round fantastic experience! We had the arepa with pork and chicken and the pulled pork with rice- absolutely delicious. Really good friendly service and reasonably priced. Highly recommend for a fab taste of Colombia- trust me, I’m Colombian! See you guys again when we are next in Cambridge

Delicious Latin food! We did the deal for 2. Lots of great food for a very reasonable price. Arepas were amazing, particularly the chicken. Excellent, friendly service. We’re already discussing when our next visit will be.

The food from this little restaurant on a converted bus is always good. Freshly made to order, great service, plenty of parking, quirky atmosphere and quick! Veggie and Vegan options too.

A sit down for a coffee and an empanada after Xmas shopping. It was good to rest and take in the world. Good food, great coffee and freindly service - this is well worth a visit. Very good value too.

Encontramos este lindo lugar cuando salíamos de la rotonda del centro de la colmena. El autobús de dos pisos se veía tan genial que decidimos echarle un vistazo. Pedimos unas tostadas de pollo y ternera, déjame decirte que estaban sabrosas y deliciosas. También tomé café colombiano y fue divino. En general, fue un gran lugar + experiencia y sin duda volveremos, sin embargo, realmente no estaría de más si el personal fuera más acogedor. No obtuve una sola sonrisa de ellos ni nos sentimos bienvenidos en el primer encuentro. Pero no sé, cuando llegamos a última hora de la tarde, probablemente estaban cansados, así que les daremos el beneficio de la duda. :)

I've been back several times and tried most of the dishes. The Tostones with chicken or vegetable are a firm favourite. Such a lovely couple running the place too! And you can't visit and not try the homemade strawberry lemonade!

Great experience staying nearby had to try it as so different food amazing as was the service. Highly recommend

Mi esposo y yo probamos este lugar ayer y nos sorprendió gratamente la maravillosa comida. Tengo la verdura principal con plátano y mi esposo tenía la arepa de carne. Ambos venían con guacamole y crema agria y muchos ingredientes frescos. Ambos nos sentamos arriba también en el autobús, lo que hizo una experiencia gastronómica única. Muy recomendable.

Tuve que intentarlo después de leer las críticas y ya que nos estábamos quedando en el cercano Travelodge. La cocina está en la cubierta inferior y el área de comer arriba. Personal servicial y buena comida, especialmente los tostones. Buen valor y, en general, una experiencia interesante. Recomendado.

Zo leuk om in een dubbeldekker te eten! We waanden ons in Colombiaanse sferen. Muziek gezellig, personeel heel erg vriendelijk en het eten smaakt zo lekker. Aanrader!

We had lunch here and can safely say we loved it! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Such a refreshing change to the norm! A must try! We will be back.

A family friend recommended we go here a while ago. Sadly they we doing some maintenance the first time we tried a few weeks ago. When we arrived I was initially confused by how many other people were eating. After eating the food I was even more confused. Excellent value and definitely some of the tastiest food available near Cambridge. The menu is somewhat limited as you might expect for a restaurant located in a bus. However from what we tasted they have hit high points across the board. Excellently cooked, tasty, food. I've had a mixed history with plantain. I've always felt that it could be better than the restaurant has managed to deliver. And I've never really succeeded with my own cooking. I could eat the plantain crisps here all day, not get bored, and then come back again the next day for more. We were told to be a little more cautious than we needed with the chillis sauces. I'm not a chilli burn fan so was grateful for the warning. However the warning was not needed as the green sauce was tasty and mild and the red sauce had a warm taste afterburn that was enjoyable. I forget the name of the dessert. However it was an interpretation of Dulce de Leche that was less sweet but all the better for it. And for once a cappuccino served by a restaurant that I would choose to come back for. Service was super friendly and with a level of engagement that would shame most restuarants. Prices represent amazing value. Only the strawberry lemonade seems somewhat expensive on the menu, but was certainly worth the cost once tasted. So I return to my initial observation about the small number of other customers. This place is easily once of the most interesting, tasty, and affordable places to eat in Cambridge and deserves a lot more business.

The food here is very good. the staff are very helpful and service is excellent. I highly recommend it and will be visiting again soon myself.

The Latina Bustaurante is different to what we have in Cambridge and makes it very interesting.

They don't do many things--you've got two or three entrees and a couple of desserts to choose from--but what they do, they do well. Plenty of parking in the car park where you find this bus, and of course it's convenient to all of those errands you already have to run right there in the beehive. The veggie empanada has an outstanding blend of beans and peppers, and I don't even like peppers! Oh, and be sure to get the strawberry lemonade, their signature drink. Looking forward to going back.

Fabulous latina food on a a double decker bus close to the Beehive centre. Great family team running this place. Highly recommended. Handy for the Museum of Computing 5 mins walk away.

It's a converted double decker bus with kitchen downstairs and tables up. Fantastic freshly ground coffee, an awesome chicken area, the daily special was prawns, huge and succulent, as good as any I've had. It's tasty and it's fun. Take a look.

Definitely a great idea, an old double decker turned into a restaurant! This place is not exactly central if you are walking, but having said that, it's only 20 mins walk from the train station (more from town center).

We decided to try the food as we had been recommended this restaurant by other friends. The menu is simple and we ordered everything: empanada, arepa and tostones. Everything was delicious, the food is simple but really good .

Seriously good food in a cool setting with friendly staff. Tried the Bustaurante for the first time today after shopping nearby - food came quickly and was excellent. Staff were really friendly and helpful - will definitely return!

Behind the brainchild of La Latina is a husband and wife super team. They are friendly, they are creative and the food is filled with love. Just look at their bustaurante!

The title says it all, great service, amazing food, clean "bustaurante", we found this place by accident but keep going back it's great!

I came here with my wife for lunch, she had the plantain and I had the cornbread with beef and chicken. Wow, the flavours just came together really well. Everything with our meals had a purpose, resulting in a robust and tasty dish.

This is a fantastic little restaurant on a double decker bus parked just off Coldhams Lane in Cambridge. It has a simple but delicious menu at very good prices. Seating upstairs and a few tables outside. Highly recommended

What a lovely place, a fun idea to eat on a bus, really friendly owners and the food is out of this world, they make a mean coffee as well. Tucked away on the retail park and a very welcome alternative to the usual chains.

I visited the Bustaurante with some work colleagues as part of the Eat Cambridge food festival. As there were 8 of us we got to sit at the back of the bus which was great fun. The couple that own the restaurant are lovely and talked us through the dishes. They were so accommodating and as soon as the heard I was offering out my prawns to my firends as I don’t like sea food they offered to cook me up a perfect alternative.

Passed by when shopping in Cambridge. The smells draw you in. Highly recommend a visit. We sat outside as it was warm and sunny. It was a fantastic lunch, reasonably priced. Very fresh as cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful and explained the menu. So much nicer than a chain restaurant that serves the same old stuff.

Attended the supper club done as part of Eat Cambridge - it was amazing!!! Great food, all cooked fresh and perfect portion sizes for 4-courses which is a great way of being able to try more of the menu :).

In a mood for street food? OMG, this was so amazing, one of my two favourite places in Cambridge, this is definitely budget friendly place but the flavours and experience you get is priceless. Love the chicken empanadas and beef with tostones. Never had plantains before coming here and now I am addicted.

This was a pleasant surprise. The seats were comfortable and the services was good. Colombian coffee was served. The only slight issue was there was no toilet on the bus. I have never seen any old doubledecker bus with a toilet anyway. I was happy to nip into Homebase.

Been there on a Sunday lunch with family. Very simple menu of three specialties with filling of beef, chicken and vegetables. We tried the meat and veggies empanadas and the veggie arepa. Dulce de leche cheesecake for dessert. Price very reasonable and obviously the place is very suggestive. The owners are very nice people and will take their time to explain their dishes and cultural heritage. Highly recommended!

A kid's dream come true! We love sitting upstairs on a really cool bus and eating fresh, homemade, delicious food. Fantastic place and equally fantastic people. Highly recommended.
