Due to COVID19, we were unable to visit La Lambretta, however we ordered takeaway instead for our stay in Hyde. We’re pleased to say the food did not disappoint and brought back some fond memories of our time in Italy a few years ago, we ordered the melon and Parma ham starter to share, which we’d highly recommend! For our mains, we both ordered Pizza, because why not? The pizzas looked and tasted amazing, we ordered the Rudy pizza and my partner ordered the Butchers pizza. Delivery was prompt as well as the customer service over the phone, the food was reasonably priced for an authentic Italian experience.

Amazing pizza, such an authentic flavour, best pizza I have had outside Italy - takeaway ready bang on time - what more can you ask !

Moving from London to live in the countryside, was a worry for me as a foodie. My preconception was that I wouldn't get the same quality down here. Especially when it came to Pizza and Italian food which are my favourite. So I have been delighted to feast at La Lambretta's over the last couple of years and now via Takeaway. Italian food is only as good as the quality of ingredients. Which is why I appreciate the fact key ingredients are imported and generous in portion. And other ingredients are locally sourced - which I belive in. In particular the Mozzarella is from authentic Buffalo - which makes the pizzas taste even better. I recommend the strangely named 'Rudy' Pizza in particular! The food here is exceptionally good!

Spending New Year's Eve at home with our falmily,we choose La Lambretta restaurant take away service for our meal and the guys did not disappoint us.We ordered festive roast with mushrooms sauce,crab tartlet,lasagna,two pizza and pasta and the food was absolutely delicious.Well organised and great delivery service.

We ordered a number of items from their take away menu, among them, lasagna which appeared to contain hardly any beef at all, and two pizza's the main ingredient of which appeared to be grease. Not impressed at all.

Meal for 4 people two who thought their food was good, pizzas, two who felt their food was poor, chicken, lasagne and calzone all bland to taste. At £85 this was poor value. Couldn't recommend unfortunately unless you stick to the pizzas.

3 generations of the family booked in on a table for 6, for family celebration....... all cancelled due to Covid lockdown (2). But not to be defeated we took advantage of Marco’s brilliant delivery service. One order, two different delivery addresses, and a zoom meal.Had no fears that Marco would get it right. All the correct food delivered to the correct address, and at the same time. Brilliant service. Oh, and the food, it was hot, and of a high standard, and really tasty. Will I use the delivery service again.... yes, without fail. Will I use the the restaurant.... as soon as the regulations permit. Thanks Marco.

Lovely meal with my partner before Lockdown 2 began! The bread starter with a creamy garlic sauce was to die for (a must order!!). Both pizza & pasta were lovely and plenty of choice. Manager that served us was very accommodating and polite as were the rest of the staff. Dinner didn't take too long to arrive and also a complimentary fried cheese of sorts at the beginning, a nice touch. Would definitely return if visiting Dorset again.

We had a lovely mid-week meal here whilst taking a 5 day break in the New Forest, staying at nearby Sandy Balls. Both my Main (seabass) and dessert (choc mousse) were very good and they were able to cater for my Gluten allergy. Ambience nice, staff nice, all good.

Visited early on a week day evening. Warm welcome from the owner when we arrived. We had pizzas for main course - both very good and I really liked my spicy pizza. The side salad was very nice with excellent sweet tomatoes. There is a very good wine list and the Italian wine I chose was very nice. I had a couple of their ice creams for desert - good to be able to buy them by the scoop - I had salty caramel and also lemon .... They were good to come back and check how I wanted them - ie separate bowels as each one is a great flavour but not sure that they would mix well. Both were very good, particularly the lemon . We had limocello to accompany the lemon ice cream which went very well.The service was excellent and the owner was very friendly and helpful and managed to develop a real Italian feel to the restaurant that I have rarely experienced outside Italy. This is a great Italian restaurant.

Excellent Italian food and atmosphere and great value for money. So glad we booked here better than all the Gastro pubs we had dinned in on our week in the New Forrest. Family friendly.

Once again, our dining experience at La lambretta surpassed all expectations. Despite all current restrictions, Marco and his professional team have found ways to make your meal extremely comfortable and you forget the turmoil around us.The restaurant is welcoming and the ambiance is truly outstanding. This is no ordinary pizzeria...The food is unmistakably Italian and fantastic quality. Rudy the pizzaiolo creates a fabulous selection of real home-made pizzas to die for with a wide range of toppings. The pasta is carefully prepared to top Italian standards and is really outstanding. The produce is top quality, imported from top producers in italy and the fresh vegetables are provided by a local supplier. The wine list is fantastic and the coffee is second to none.The service is efficient, and super-friendly. Covid measures are adhered to without feeling restrictive. Take-away option available Gluten free customers are catered for.The app for bookings works very well.We are so lucky to have this fantastic establishment on our doorstep!

On our first night in the New Forest, the 4th Sep., we had a Takeaway delivered to us in Stuckton. The majority chose Pizzas and the were excellent. Four nights later, on the 8th, we went for a meal in the Restaurant. What a find!! 5-Star Service, Food and a fantastic Atmosphere. Marco and his Team did a great job, given the current circumstances. The food could not be faulted. I chose my 'Tester', the Traditional Carbonara. I was not disappointed, it was faultless and the fresh pasta was superb. So may restaurants have failed to produce anything close. I have to say, I'm glad I do not live in Fordingbridge, otherwise I'd eat there every week.

Brilliant hospitality - we booked a table in advance, on reviewing others advise - glad that we did, it was busy but safe (in this current environment!). It is a charming, well loved restaurant and you are made to feel welcome, the ambiance was great. The Calamari starter was fresh, light with beautiful texture - followed by Tuna salad which was equally delightful. We also ordered the special Pizza, this was a popular choice with fresh ingredients and very nice. We were a ‘little caught out’ as we were unable to get a taxi back to where we were staying, this is not uncommon; so plan ahead - this was resolved by the owner Marco, who offered to take us home. This was unexpected but very much welcome, this act of kindness sums up the restaurant - they care for their restaurant, their customers and go ‘over and above’ to make sure you have a fantastic time - book here, you will not be disappointed.

We went early evening on a Friday night without booking and were lucky enough to get the last table, otherwise fully booked! Lovely natural brickwork and wood decor and welcoming staff - well organised too. We had starters (bruschetta and meat platter) and mains - special of sea bass with mussel and prawn panzanella and a pasta arrabbiata. All of it perfectly cooked and delicious! Great service, great food, but book ahead!!

We contacted Marco about the possibility of holding our wedding reception in his restaurant, from the moment we asked, Marco was nothing short of amazing, he was incredibly accommodating and helpful. When it came round to the big day, we were absolutely delighted that he opened up early for us, sat us outside in the garden area (which needs to be advertised more because it is stunning) and sorted us drinks until the kitchen opened. Our meal was amazing, everyone commented on how fantastic the food was, we all left incredibly happy, very full and ready to go back soon for another meal. We can't thank Marco and his team enough for all their help, their wonderful service and great food. I couldn't recommend La Lambretta enough, for takeaway, small meal or to celebrate a special event.

We had a takeaway for 8 of us. The food was great! All the pizza’s went down a storm and the children loved the pasta 👌🏼we’ll be back!

We visited as a group of 8, being seated next to each other in 2 seperate tables of 4. Service very prompt and efficient and the food was absolutely delicious. The shelled tiger prawns in cherry tomato sauce is a must. So delicious we ordered an extra one! The food was fresh, and the flavours were spot on. We live over 2 hours away and visited here based on tripadvisor reviews. Please visit if you are looking for an authentic Italian cuisine. The only down side is the cannoli where I felt it was a little dry, (personal preference) however the tiramisu was superb. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We had our meal delivered to Tom’s field campsite and oh my goodness it was fantastic. From the friendly people on the end of the phone to the man who delivered to the incredible food, it was just perfect. We won’t hesitate to order again. Thank so so very much for a perfect meal.

We got a takeaway one night when staying in the area - the pizzas are absolutely amazing (I'm sure the pasta is too - we didn't try it!). So good we had them twice during our week long stay! Highly recommended.

Marco is an enthusiastic host and he clearly loves good food. His chefs are Italian and make amazingly tasty food. They went out of their way to get us a table out of the way as we hadn't booked and the main restaurant was full. We watched fresh pasta being made in advance of the next days service and we had fantastic service from the lovely waitress. The pizzas and starters we had were amazingly tasty and prices very reasonable. Thanks.

Two visits so far since restaurant service resumed; well spaced tables & excellent service.Food has all been great, bit of a break from pizzas (which are outstanding BTW to eat in, take away & delivery) - ravioli excellent and I’m told by the other half the fish special was awesome. My partner and I went for our first post covid lockdown 'date night' and I'm so pleased we chose to have our meal at La Lambretta. Everything was perfect - the food, the atmosphere, the service! I really couldn't fault it. Thank you Marco and your team - we will definitely come back again!!

Never been to this restaurant before as we have a fave Italian in Bournemouth but with us all on lockdown now we found out they were doing takeaway during the virus crisisWe were not disappointed it was a very efficient order, payment & free home delivery process and the food was really good. Thank you we will order again and definitely visit the restaurant when things get back to normal.

My view of most Italian restaurants is that you could do pretty much the same food at home! However this view completely changed after a visit to La Lambretta. Convivial host, excellent service, great choice, well presented, great tastes, wonderful wine. Couldn't fault it. We will be going again with a completely different outlook !!!

We miss being able to visit La Lambretta but in the current virus crisis Marco is offering a free delivery service. We had super Calzone pizza delivered to our door in Downton, with all the care required in regard social distancing etc plus receiving a great supperBrilliant service delivery thank you Marco; if this drama continues for the predicted time we will certainly be ordering from La Lambretta more often; but look forward to your being able to open in the not too distant future when we have defeated the virus to enjoy the best Italian restaurant we know.

Really one of the best Italian restaurants I have visited in UK .The place is sparkling clean , with a warm and cozy decoration, very very friendly staff..But the best part is the food , really authentic Italian recipes, fresh ingredients, top quality and high skill chef....Good wine card , with nice Italian wines , that you can match with your food ....Prices are reasonable, and maybe cheap according to the quality of the ingredients.Top restaurant, definitely recommend

We would not normally go so far for Italian food, but a family member told us this was exceptional, and they were right. It’s located in the town centre, with a huge free (after 6pm) car park just a step away (behind the pub opposite), The bright whitewashed exterior suggests that it is being well looked after, and so it is. For example, the spotless toilets could have been in a 5-star hotel! The bar area is comfortably located at one side of the dining area, partly separated by a wall. The tables are well spaced and the floor, though solid, is absorbent, so one is not aware of the conversations of the other diners. The décor is plain but attractive and restful, and the lighting complements this. White linen tablecloths add a touch of class and, unlike many similar establishments, the tables do not rock! The kitchen, which is dominated by a warm friendly giant white pizza oven, is partly open to the seating area, but does not intrude. The extensive menu is somewhat different to a typical Italian restaurant and features a wide selection of Italian tapas, pizza, pasta and meat/fish/vegetarian specialities. Proprietor Marco has chosen examples from all over Italy and Sicily and the selection is more interesting and less repetitive than usual. Members of the Clan McDonald please note that La Lambretta is an entirely chip-free zone: a distinctive touch. Potatoes are of course available in other forms, as are an interesting choice of Mediterranean style vegetables. Portions are large, and beautifully presented, and there is also a wide choice of wines. The table service is polite, unhurried and absolutely flawless. Pricewise, it’s maybe a little above the current norm for Italian restaurants, but the quality and quantity of the food, the impeccable surroundings and the friendly atmosphere easily justify this. And we had the bonus of live music, which is featured twice a month: not the most appropriate choice of songs for our age group, perhaps, but a pleasant change from recordings. On the Thursday we visited, it was almost full, and Marco told us that the next two nights were already booked solid. Considering that Fordingbridge is only a small town, that says a lot for the appeal of this place. We are usually good at finding fault, but our only minor gripes here were an absence of enough places to easily hang coats and the fact that our bread sticks arrived with the first course, rather than before it. Locally, we were told by a neighbour, their New Years Eve party is always exceptional. Last year it was advertised in September and full booked in just two days! How’s that for a recommendation?

The owner and is staff were welcoming and attentive like usually,without being intrusive.My wife and i and different friends have eaten at la Lambretta on numerous occasions and we always enjoyed the choice of food and pizza but maybe the chef had a pay rise because this time the food was absolutely amazing ! really cooked beautifully .My steak tagliata was so tender and delicious ,my wife had the "saltimbocc" which was superb and the tiramisù is the best i've enjoyed anywhere.We had a fantastic meal and evening and would visit again and again and again.

My girlfriend stumbled upon this restaurant whilst researching for our weekend away, we booked ahead for Saturday lunch time. Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from Marco & his team, we were given the option to choose from any of the empty tables, the whole place was clean & looked fantastic a mix of the authentic Italian and modern decor.

We enjoyed an excellent night with family and friends here on NYE. The food was superb and beautifully presented. Marco and his team looked after us brilliantly all night. Then the live music made the night a fantastic experience.

We visited for my husband's birthday and emailed in advance to ask if lasagne could be made as a number of family members requested this - they did not disappoint - a fantastic tasty home-made lasagne was produced. The other dishes were also excellent.

We were staying in Fordingbridge dog sitting for our nephew who recommended this restaurant. We enjoyed it so much we visited two nights running. Home made pasta on the first night was simply delicious. Second nights freshly cooked pizza was equally as good. Just a small sized place so was busy Saturday and Sunday night so best to book in advance. Tried to persuade Marco to open a restaurant in Southampton so we could be regular customers!! Pay it a visit I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

We finally got round to visiting this local Italian and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was brilliant, great menu and excellent dishes. The food was well presented and tasty, very reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning.

It so good to see a new business growing and it’s down to the consistent high quality food and friendly service. This is the second time they made a dish that was not featured on the main menu and had been a special 6months ago! The best salad and the home made pasta is just full of flavour .

Authentic Italian restaurant, the staff, chef, manager are Italian, the ingredients are either sourced locally of from Italy, the menu is interesting and the food is delicious. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and informed service from the lovely waiting staff. Helped us to order the perfect selection of lunch tapas and pasta for our family- including a vegetarian and a gluten free, so there really are options for everyone! An absolute must visit in Salisbury/Fordingbridge!

Fantastic and friendly staff, excellent food and service. We visited at 8pm on Saturday night after a trip to the cinema. The restaurant was busy however we had not pre booked and they were keen to accommodate us. We were extremely well looked after and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We visited La Lambretta twice this week once on a work outing and once as a family and had the pleasure of dinning in the newly refurbished and atmospheric garden. The garden is beautiful and a wonderful addition to the restaurant. It was fantastic to be able to enjoy the warm summers evenings amongst the soft sound of running water from the water feature and the ambient soft lighting of the garden. Ive loved watching this restaurant evolve over the last 19 months with the excellent service remaining consistent. If you want a warm welcome and great food in a beautiful setting Marco and his team will guarantee this. It is 100% authentic Italian with Italian hosts and Chefs.

Excellent. Superb food. Friendly, efficient and welcoming staff. We have eaten at La Lambretta on several occasions and the quality has been consistently good.The staff were particularly accommodating when we descended upon them with young grandchildren in tow.

I had a Margarita and my husband a Quattro Staggioni pizza and we both agreed that they were the best that we've ever eaten.

My husband and I take a yearly trip to Rockborne and never miss an opportunity to have a meal (or three) here. The staff are warm, inviting and attentive with always time for a smile and a laugh. We've brought our whole family in for a dinner, and were not disappointed in the least--by 'family', we come along with a eight year old and he's always treated like a king with tailored pizzas, cut up and easy to manage. We even make a special trip out from Southampton on my husband's and mine's anniversary, driving 40-ish minutes just to enjoy this fantastic find.

We were invited to a family birthday lunch at La Lambretta . This Italian restaurant is very open and airy and nicely laid out with spotlessly white table cloths and soft music. Children are catered for with the Bambino menu. The Pizzas are the best I have ever tasted, light and very tasty and huge. Lovely atmosphere and polite staff. We had a very enjoyable lunch. 10/10

My friend suggested this fantastic restaurant as he had dined at The Lambretta twice before and he is Italian so my wife and I joined Gio on this occasion. Well I thought I was back in Venice again ,the food is wonderful and the service is top class. This small restaurant will have to find bigger premises before long as the quiality of the food is second to none and the staff and owner are brilliant. You will have to book well in advance to secure a table this little Italian restaurant is going places all the way to the top in many ways .Great value for money and top notch service.

Exposed brickwork for the walls and fresh clean white table cloths create just the right atmosphere for a pleasant dinner. There's an excellent range of food and plenty of choice of pizza (which is what we really wanted) even for vegetarians. We were served by a very pleasant Italian waiter whose aim was to please.

We enjoyed our Saturday evening meal at La Lambretta. It was our first visit, on recommendation from friends. Attentive service, large choice on the menu and the bruschetta was especially delicious. We will visit again soon.

Having visited here on various occasions with my family we've never been disappointed. You're always welcomed by Marco and his friendly staff. The pasta is freshly made on the premises by Marco which was great to see especially as my son's got to watch their dinner being made. The pizzas are fantastic and cooked in a real brick pizza oven which you are welcome to view in their open kitchen. From start to finish our experience in this lovely little restaurant was amazing to say the least.

We visited La Lambretta this evening having moved to the local area recently. We had the most fantastic time, from the first sip of cold Birra Moretti to the delicious pasta dish and calzone, finishing off with tasty deserts! All washed down with a carafe of pinot blush. Amazing meal, friendly and attentive service. We are excited to return already! Thank you La Lambretta!

We are regularly at the restaurant but decided on a takeaway as time was tight. These people cook the most fantastic pizza and it's a huge benefit to fordingbridge in my opinion. We enjoyed a drink while we waited 15 minutes , cheerful staff and engaging. Thank you

Have eaten her 3 or 4 times now and every single time we have been blown away. The service is always flawless and the food is Italian perfection.

We have been to La Lambretta a number of times recently and have never been disappointed. Marco's welcome is refreshing compared with other eating houses we have been to over the past years. All the staff have been most efficient whilst very friendly, always ready to chat if possible. The dining area is spotlessly clean and attractively laid out, with fresh linen on the tables. The food, oh the food is so Italian that you cannot believe that it was cooked in Fordingbridge. Do not expect English pub food, it is not on the menu. Be excited by the real Italian food, cooked by an Italian chef. The pastas and pizzas are hand made in the kitchen, not bought in from the Co-op. Ignore the one and two star Tripadvisor comments, they do not give a realistic picture. This is a special place serving special food prepared and served by special people. Marco is planning to open an out door eating area soon.

We visited with friends on a busy Saturday evening. Greeted very warmly and the ambience is very clean and relaxing. The food was very pricey for the amount of food you received. We found the salmon very salty and the king prawn pasta very miniscule. The pizzas were sloppy and didn't feel very fulfilled. Very disappointing.

La Lambretta is definitely becoming one of our favourites. Love the decor and the service is always brilliant. Superb, authentic food in a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner, as a couple or a family. Keep up the good work Lambretta, so great to have this in Fordingbridge.

Second time getting a takeaway Pizza from here. Nothing special first time. Wanted something quick to eat tonight so ordered Pizza! Was told to collect in 20min, but decided to collect in 15min, when I arrived to pick it up, it were sitting at the bar waiting (I wondered how long it had been there). Needless to say, when I opened my food the Pizza was cold and i don't mean luke warm, it was really cold. Must have been sitting on the bar counter a good 10/12min before I arrived. Bearing in mind I only live one min walk away. Pity,as the atmosphere in the restaurant feels good,staff are friendly and I'm sure the Pizza would have been okay if it was warm. I understand food is not going to be pipeing hot if one gets a takeaway, however if I'm paying full price I expect it to be somewhat hot or even warm especially as I live practically next door.

My boyfriend and I have bought a new house in Fordingbridge and wanted to visit the town/restaurants/shops. We heard about this restaurant and we not disappointed! We had a very warm welcome from Simoné, our waiter and then we were even greeted when seated by Marco the wonderful owner. We were given an unlimited variety of complimentary bread and chose the 2 course lunch menu. Both our dishes were incredible and we're very pleased that the stunning cosy restaurant will be right on our doorstep. We look forward to enjoying the evening menu and wine and dine our socks off!

Our first visit, won’t be our last. Lovely decor, interesting menu and very good house wine. Very welcoming staff can’t believe this restaurant has been open for about 18 months and we haven’t tried it before, our loss.

We spotted this restaurant while we were shopping in the village. It's a Tuesday night so the restaurant is not packed, just about half full. It was nice to see to see family's having dinner together. The menu covers all the Italian main stays along with a few different dishes. The cooking was done with a delicate hand, the scallops were perfectly cooked and my wife's meatballs were fantastic. My main of calves liver was so tender and flavoursome while my wife's chicken with gorgonzola was terrific. I read on here about their tiramisu and the earlier writer was correct, it was lovely. The wife had affogatto which was lovely. Three courses each, a couple of rounds of drinks all for £80. Very good value for money, I wish we lived nearer!

Having driven past many, many times, and unable to find a really good Italian restaurant in ages, we thought we’d book in. And it’s very good! The food is generous, especially the Mozarella (not enough Basil though) and the pizzas are beautifully made as is the fresh pasta. The staff are very Italian, which is what you need! And the host is superb. Just one thing; it’s too bright. With overhead lighting (LED) it has to be dimmed down by half, to add some warmth to match the food.

My husband, son and I visited for lunch in February and we had a wonderful lunch. The pizza was was really tasty and the service was amazing! My little one left his hat at the restaurant and Marco, the manager promptly posted it back to us. Would definitely recommend and if we’re in the area again we will stop here again for lunch!

Restaurant fresh and inviting, staff very friendly and helpful. The white linen tablecloths are excellent and look great.

We live in Brighton and have some very good Italian restaurants in town, but we don't have anything as good as La Lambretta. The reception was first class, as was the food and service, but the real bonus was our waitress, whose warmth and charm made our evening.
