Called in for dinner this afternoon excellent service and a great little cafe atmosphere. Chicken, rice and veg was excellent. Took me back to my childhood. My friend had the lasagne, which was excellent. Definitely recommend.

The customer that came after me was served before me, and both the barista and customer couldn’t stopped flirting with each other. What’s worse is that the barista literally saw me being pushed in the queue.

Great full English at a reasonable price. Will be back

I’m not sugarcoating that this place may not look so appealing at first glance, but I eventually ended up loving it! We were looking for a place to chat with my friend after 7. Most places in Farringdon close down by 7, or are very busy. We decided to give it a go as it was literally the only option around the area. We only had coffee, but it was reasonably priced ( in fact, it is a pound cheaper than average prices in chain cafes ) and was tasty. The owner of the shop was a very friendly and lovely person, loved his jokes 😁 I really appreciate such places, with nice service and local vibes.

Maybe not super-cheap, but this place is 100% reliable. I bought a vegetarian ciabatta for £8 and it was incredibly delicious and nourishing — well worth the price. Given this was after midnight, that was more than fair. This is not the first time they’ve bailed me out at a strange hour. La Forchetta is the kind of place that reassures you about life, knowing it exists and does what it does so incredibly well

My No.1 spot to eat guiltlessly and work late night. Very sweet staff very delicious food and beverage. It’s pretty warm indoor so wear a T-shirt if you’re staying long.

"Very Tired old place" This place needs a good boot up the. It's "just ok" but the toasted sandwiches are overpriced - £8.50 - that's 2 quid more expensive than Gail's across the road who are pricey enough!! It's the same dour sandwiches all the time, the same boring ciabatta - not a focaccia in sight, same old, same old. The staff seem to have lost interest - particularly the tall guy who seems that he is going through the motions each day, if doesn't enjoy his job, go somewhere else? The older Italian guy though is lovely and happy, an asset. Stepping into Forchetta's is like a trip back to the mid 1990's same old decor, same tired service, same tired sandwiches - yes i bet they will be doing the same ciabattas a decade from now. If Mary Portas was doing up a shop, this would be the kind of establishment she would look to improve. It's a sigh for me, it's ok, it's boring, it won't blow your socks away for the next 5 years, same old, same old. zzzzzzzzzz They won't even see this review as they are probably asleep, sigh.

My friend and I popped here for a quick snack lunch before a theatre show. The service was friendly and prompt. They have a mixture of options from panini, pastas, cooked breakfast etc. Perfect place for a quick pit stop.

First time in here, though I pass by regularly on my way to my appointments at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Fortunately today I managed to find a table in the fresh air in the sitting area outside. I used to go there every time after going to fabric a few years ago. The food was delicious!

Open early and very late, both the gentlemen in the morning and the ladies in the evening were very pleasant. I got the salami, chicken, and cheese both times. Once as is and another with tomato and pesto. Equally great quality each time and a delicious cappuccino. Thank you for a great meal!

Popped in with colleagues for lunch. The ciabatta's were terrible, dry and tasteless the escalope was like cardboard, its a shabby place so you expect the food to make up for it, it didnt. £9.50 for a sandwich, feel terrible after lunch

Cafe in heart of Faringdon serving honest, tasty full English. Way better than many of the swanky hotels in the surrounding area! Lunch sandwiches are also to die for!

Genuinely the worst sandwich shop I've even been to. Both items I ordered were revolting. Almost as if they'd made an effort to make it as disgusting as possible.

I really love coming here to La Forchetta. The atmosphere is really friendly and lovely. Calm to my mind every morning before I start work as I can relax 🔥 and have an amazing cup of coffee and a chocolate muffin. Food is epic and delicious "chef's kiss"💯. The staff is friendly and always welcoming towards me and everyone. I surely would recommend to come here and relax and enjoy your day. Its really the best place. 💫

FANTASTIC. Started our Saturday with a hearty breakfast at La Forchetta. You know you're onto a winner when the workies walk straight in, they will know. A big cup of coffee and generous servings, were brought to us by freindly, welcoming staff. Proper English breakfast, loads of toast and my brother-in-law got the breakfast with chips, and why not. Would definitely recommend it and hopefully will get to come back. Thank you La Forchetta 👏👏👏👏

We were staying across the street at the Rookery, and wandered over for breakfast. We loved it! The atmosphere was energetic, the guys behind the counter were friendly (and loud, but it was great), and the food was fast and solid. Great lattes, good croissants, comfy. It's always a treat to find small cafes like this that make you feel welcome. I read below about bad service and overpricing, but that was not our experience at all. We liked it so much we went back the next morning and enjoyed it all over again. (And the first day, they almost *undercharged* us). Love these guys.

Beautiful place made special by Angela. I ordered a tuna melt panini which was delicious nice toasty bread and melted cheese served with a smile. In the 15 minutes I was there eating I saw her personally great all her regular customers, remember how they like their coffee and orders. She really cares for her customers, has an upbeat positive attitude and it's beautiful to see her take such care in her job. She makes the everyday small meals and drinks a joy for her customers. Highly recommended!

My regular sandwich shop, good selection of food.

I ordered sandwich tea and donut but was charged prices not even listed. When I asked where were the prices I was told I was charged an after 4.00 pm rate but none of these prices were published on the board or a menu. I was told to come back and speak with the boss. The server was extremely loud waved me away and during time in cafe spent the whole time loudly talking on phone and picking dirt off her shoe outside and did not wash her hands. AVOID.

Went here with my two sons. On entering I looked at the food displayed in the window. As I was doing this i was told to sit down as it was all on the menu. I explained that you've got food displayed for a reason so ppl can check it out. Anyway, that was laughed off. We ordered after been asked 3 times, we'd been there 2 mins and my sons are 9 and 12. I got carbonara, boys got jacket potato and another got cheese on toast with chips, 2 cans and a water. As the waitress came over she plucked a figure out of the air and said £30!! I said that’s too much. I wasn’t clear how much cheese on toast so I asked. £5, another figure plucked from the air. I sadly had to add it up myself and with overpriced cheese on toast, “which was literally minimal cheese on 2 slices of soggy bread” it came to £27.40. So the made up figure of £30 was made up. She gave me £2 back, not £2.60!?, lol. I was told by the same lady to eat at home as it’s cheaper. We had a few words. Staff were all pretty rude, talk about you in there own language, overcharge for food that was average and overpriced. I wouldn't recommend, and I Would never return.

It's the best place to get late night snack and coffee, or breakfast, or late evening snack. 24 X 7.

I went to this place to get an average breakfast (4 eggs and a toast) for which i was charged £5. I was surprised about the price so i asked why it was that much for a very simple breakfast. The women serving me was very rude in her response and said it because of the area breakfast is so expensive. Yet a veg full breakfast is £6.50 hmmm. I did not say anything and left it. She then was talking to the kitchen stuff in her language and making funny body gestures and i found that to be rude so i confronted her and said next time if you want to say something say in english. Very rude and unpolite. This is my first experience and my last

I’ve been to La Forchetta on two occasions during lunch time. The first time, they tried to charge me £15 for a £6.50 lasagna. Luckily I asked for a receipt and saw the over payment. They gave me a cash refund for the difference. The second time, a colleague convinced me to go back (months later). Having learnt from my past experience, I looked at the total on the contactless payment machine before paying and saw that they tried to charge me £7 for the £6.50 lasagna. On both occasions, they weren’t ashamed nor apologetic but simply laughed and gave me silly excuses on why I was overcharged!!

had a day up in the big smoke and after a walk around Smithfield Market we dropped in here for a quick lunch. I chose a sausage and past dish and the wife a lasagna. I would sum them up as 'quantity rather than quality'. Both tasted goo but could have been warmer to be honest. Service was quick and pleasant and it did the job. Reasonably priced.

When the staff has to ask you what you had in order to settle your tab, you know they lack the systems to properly run a business. Also, we ordered 2 flat white coffees and I’m not sure what we got but, it certainly was not flat white plus, the coffee tasted like it was made using reground coffee. We had to purchase our coffee from a different coffee shop just to remove the awful taste we just experienced
