Wow, Wow, Wow! 16 of us celebrated the New Year in last night and what an amazing night we all had. For a family run restaurant it was the quality of a five star restaurant. Gordon Ramsey take note, no swearing either!! First class excellent food and friendly staff. We will definitely go back, there was a tribute list up and that's got to be a must from me! I came here with friends for the ABBA night and we had an excellent time, as always. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was spot on. The set menu had some great dishes. I started with cod croquettes followed by steak (cooked perfectly) and finished with berries. The ABBA girls were great fun and really got the party started. Although it did confirm that I can’t dance. Or jive. But I had the time of my life.

Nothing Spanish about it, perhaps because nobody I saw was Spanish. Their pulpo and chorizo were good, boquerones fritos and muchrooms poor, patatas bravas horrible. The service reminded of Brazlsil Fawlty and Fawlty Towers, NONE said welcome, they were so short-handed and self-occupied (perhaps Manuel's night off!) , I had to get up several times to go order at the bar. No welcoming attitude, no customer service mind, no good food, absolutely no value for money!

Our favourite restaurant for any family occasion...and our ever growing clan has been coming here for years and is always a great meal in a place that is owned and run by lovely people...Tapas is excellent and as my wife will testify the steaks are always perfectly cooked to your request...Will be back soon..

Very disappointing and average. We really wanted to like this place after seeing all the reviews. The food was mediocre at best. The prawn and avocado salad was made up of the cheapest, smallest prawns - like the frozen ones from Iceland. The worse aspect of this place is they clearly, despite the fact we had a booking, wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. We had two courses and left in under an hour. Everything came far too quickly and that ruined the whole meal. They also have a serious fly problem in the summer.

You can never go wrong with La Familia. Tanya and the staff are all a delight and very welcoming. The food is always delicious, freshly cooked and authentic. We love this place - you will too!

Phoned up to book on same day and was accommodated. Service was attentive. Great food options for tapas consisting of meat, fish and vegetable options. All our choices were delicious. Had the best sangria there. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First visit after numerous people saying how good it was.On DEC22nd three of us celebrated my 75th birthday at lunchtime and what a Fab time we had.Festive menu was GREAT the best birthday meal i have had. Service was SUPERB what a wonderful restaurant. many thanks for a great birthday meal we will be back soon

Most enjoyable lunch I've had for a long time. 10 adults and 4 children enjoyed delicious food and excellent service in the most convivial atmosphere. Several party members have since commented on how much they enjoyed the occasion and the food. Thank you Tania!

Absolutely gorgeous food at La Familia today with our family for Mothers Day. We were given a table for 14 of us in a private-ish part of this gorgeous restaurant. Everything from start to finish was perfect. There was not a single dish that wasn’t perfectly cooked, seasoned and flavoursome. Thanks so much will DEFINITELY visit again

We had decided to go for lunch at La Familiar one Friday as it’s one of my nan's favourite places. We got there at about 12.30 and only one other person was eating so we were quickly seated and had a nice choice of tables. We shared a selection of tapas including; the chorizo in a Rioja wine sauce, the beef meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce, the chicken strips in a spicy tomato sauce, the garlic prawns, the sardines and a couple of bread baskets. Most of the food was lovely, we were not keen on the sardines (they did not come out as we’d expected and instead as whole fish you needed to de-bone yourself, we didn’t touch these - well a bit of one out of the three so I’d hoped maybe they would have been a taken off the bill, especially when asked we suggested we didn’t like them but instead they were just brought out in a to-go doggy bag at the end…) and the bread baskets could have used some butter rather than just the oil/vinegar. Other than that the food was nice, my favourite was the chorizo and my Nan liked the chicken which was very tender in a lovely sauce, she wasn’t as keen on the meatballs commenting that they were a little tough but I thought they were fine. We also shared a bottle of wine which was nice and finished off with a Sherry and a sangria which were delicious. The only thing I was disappointed with, was we were offered some water at the beginning (which I’d assumed - not that you ever should!) that as it was just still water it was free, however, it was charged at £3.95! Overall the bill came to just over £70 which is quite a bit for lunch but we did have a fair amount of food. I am sure we will return at some point (especially as we got a voucher for a free jug of sangria when you order a certain amount of tapas throughout a set month!) although there are now quite a few new other cafes/restaurants on the high street that might be a little cheaper to try.

Family of four for lunch. Spanish cuisine but also steaks. The meze were delicious and paella very authentic. Food is very reasonably priced for a restaurant of this quality. House wine prices not overly expensive. No garden, but there is a small semi-open area to the front. Blankets provided which is a nice touch. A good ambiance and very good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

After a disaster at the Beach house we popped in here! Food was excellent and so was the service- I had the fish and is was cooked to beautifully. We will be back!

Fantastic experience. Wonderful food and drink. Chose La Familia more on a whim but certainly not let a down and will definitely be back and with friends! We had tapas which was sublime, but saw other tables with mains which left us encious.

My elderly parents love this restaurant but sometimes I wonder if they just like convenience, the nice decor and the idea of it. The whole family Mediterranean vibe is alluring but it seems to me that it promises much but in reality never delivers. I find the service always to be lukewarm and the food to be just ok. It often appears fast which points to it as perhaps being frozen and reheated? and not always heated through that well unfortunately.. so another family meal and another ok experience for me personally. I honestly think if the service was better and had more warmth I could probably forgive the lukewarm meatballs. More importantly I query why we were not asked for our contact detail? The current government guidance is very clear for restaurants that in order to assist the nhs and the community it is “critical” in their words to take records from diners. The news from Aberdeen today that at least 32 people have Covid from one pub must surely highlight the importance of this? I personally won’t return again until a safe system of track and trace is in place.

I’ve been to the restaurant a few times and it’s never disappointed their mixed paella is incredible. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Wine selection is great as well.

I have been using this restaurant for about 15 years and the food and service have always been exceptional. Recently I have been having a fillet steak in a mushroom and wine sauce which have always been lovely. Last night there was a special offer for slow cooked pork knuckle with a sherry reduction. It was incredible tasty as was the mash potato that came with it. For pudding my son and I had the almond tart with ice cream. It’s so nice I have it every time. I asked for an extra scoop of ice cream and was charged no extra for this!

Wonderful service and food as always, never dissappointed, only wish we could visit more often, but but sadly health problems do not always allow, as it is my favourite restaurant I hope we can visit again soon as so miss their fabulous food.

We called in at lunch time and the restaurant was quiet so we were served quite quickly. Ordered a selection of tapas, all were delicious apart from the chorizo which was very oily. There is an impressive bar!Imagine this would be a lively place at night; we will try sometime.

A massive thank you to Tanya and her amazing team. We held our presentation evening to give out the cups and trophy’s to our members for the 2019 season. The team provided us brilliant support in planning the event. We sat down to an excellent three course meal of which there was several different options to suit everyone. The food was served promptly and arrived hot which was excellent considering over 80 people were seated at the same time for food. The bar staff provided brilliant service whilst rustling multiple up cocktails to satisfy the thirsty dancers. There was plenty of room for our presentation and dancing. Everyone had a great time and we will be returning. The Captain of North Sheen Bowling Club

A last minute choice - last table available- great appetisers full of flavour, large selection good wine, prompt efficient service. Well worth a visit or three.

Although it was out of our way, we ended up dining here on a quiet Sunday evening as our local Spanish was closing at 8:30 p.m. and all our other preferences were closed for the day. The food and ambience at La Familia was decent. Great cod croquettes and gambas al ajillo The jamon and chorizo in red wine could have been much fresher.

From first arriving and ordered drinks at the bar, the waiter was rude and unfriendly, if it hadn't been for a group of us meeting, I would have left then, and as the meal went on I wish we had. The food was average, and no attention was made while taken the order. Would not return.

Have used the Ewell branch many times, was in the area so decided to give it a try. Great food, service friendly no probs, which do I prefer? The Ewell restaurant.

The food here was really tasty and generous in quantity. However the service was rather tepid. Would recommend the paella and house red.

What a brilliant place, a fun and lively atmosphere,very friendly waiting staff and wonderful food. If you want a place to inject a spark into your evening out, the food and ambience did it for me...and the prices were very acceptable for the quality of the food.

The food here is very nice, the waiters could be more friendly but is not going to stop us to return.

There's not a great deal of choice in Hampton Hill but we were in the area and this place looked tempting.

We visited on a busy evening but the service was friendly, fast and efficient. We were quickly shown to our table and our pre dinner dinks were quickly ordered and delivered. Our dinner order was taken within a very reasonable time and our starters were soon served, the main course came with a reasonable gap after the starters were cleared away. Both the starters and main courses were large, hot and delicious. Everthing we had, including the drinks were excellent and at just under £30 a head you could not fault anything. Well done to all the staff, we will be back soon

I took my Nan for lunch here on a Wednesday, I’d not booked but didn’t think we would need to for a midweek lunch, and it turned out there was only one other couple dining when we did. The restaurant was nicely decorated, cosy and not too warm (as it was very hot outside). We decided to share some tapas so had a selection of; meatballs, lamb cutlets, lemon prawns, potato bravas and garlic bread - all of which were lovely! The prawns were not as I’d expected, I thought they would be the small ones in sauce, but instead they were the larger ones with heads/tails still, and it was a shame the lamb cutlets you had to order/pay per individual cutlet rather than a set amount like a normal dish, but none the less everything was very nice. For deserts we had the creme brûlée and the fudge cake, and again both were nice. Our bill came to around £60, which considering we’d shared a bottle of wine was quite reasonable. Overall it was a nice afternoon, service was not rushed and the food was good, we would go back again.

I came here last year and I can’t remember whether I wrote a review or not but anyway the food tastes authentic, rich and lush. Maybe it’s a bit expensive but then again I am a 22 year old student. It might be considered reasonably priced if you have a nicely reasonable Paycheck too HAHA. But anyway staff are lovely and we ate a lot of food too! Thankyou very much!

Poor service! The food amazing ! The calamers are very tasty, chorizo cooked in red wine as well the sardines as well we had a marisco salad like a tapas side smaller the usual but was fine :) the waiter terrible and impolite! Very cold person they have to learn to be more Latins :) more friendly more professional! Sad never come to check of everything was fine ...

Or should it be: Everything fried .... from frozen. To be fair, we only tried the Tapas. But that was enough to put us off from a return visit. Upon arriving, we checked out the menu. Having a very long list is usually a bad sign as there's no way that a restaurant could stock this many ingredients fresh.

We have been coming to La Familia on and off for over ten years and always enjoy our visits. It’s easy to criticise restaurants with a long menu but the tapas here is always good fun, served piping hot and full of flavour. On previous visits the service has been OK but on this visit it was a different team and they need training. These days people will ask about dishes on any menu so the staff need to be prepared and really ought to know basic such as the flavour of the cheesecake. That said, it didn’t spoil a perfectly relaxing meal out.

We come here a lot. We like Tapas. This restaurant is consistently good. The service is superb and friendly - as I discovered when I forgot my glasses they even have a selection of reading glasses available for their customers! Very good thinking!

If the criteria for a great restaurant were marked on the standard of food alone, then this would score a full five out of five quite easily. It is genuine Spanish food prepared with a passion and true originality. There is a vast range on the menu, but every dish we ordered was cooked and presented to perfection. Dishes are obviously cooked fresh, as we asked for minor adjustments to a couple of selections and all could be accommodated without question.

This is an excellent place for tapas in South West London. We stopped by for lunch and ordered the patatas alioli, croquettes with jamon, croquettes with cod, chorizo in red wine and fried whitebait. Every dish was delicious! Lots of Spanish wines and beers to choose from and a wonderful mix of regional dishes from Spain and Portugal on the menu. We'll definitely be back!

Tapas is an excellent choice for vegans, plenty of option what to eat, all of them are very tasty. We been there twice and the food was delicious in both occasions. Looking forward our next dinner in La Familia.

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years. I’ve only had the fillet steaks and liver and bacon and the almond tart. They’ve always been nicely cooked and are served with lovely vegetables. They also operate a loyalty card scheme which gives up to 50% off food

We have been coming to this our favourite resturant for many years. Today was lunch to celebrate my fathers 93rd birthday. We were a table of 11 people. The atmosphere was friendly and very welcoming. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. The food came out altogether and was hot, tasty and excellently presented. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large selection meat,fish and tapas dishes. Will be back again soon. Thank you again for a perfect visit

We have had lunch at La Familia several times with friends and also at annual events with larger groups, including last Sunday. On every occasion we have had excellent food and very good service. There is a friendly relaxed atmosphere. We will defintely go again and warmly recommend La Familia.

Me and my family made our 3rd New years eve visit to this lovely restaurant.

Myself and two friends, who had never been before, had lunch here yesterday. The restaurant was reasonably busy and as usual the food was excellent, however, the service was nothing short of rude. The attitude of the waiters could not have been worse.....they have no idea of how to interact with their customers and although all 3 of us were unfailingly polite, we got no reaction. A bit more of the Christmas cheer was needed.

They say that time heals all, the décor was the same and the real change came in the staff. Friendly attentive and easier to talk too. The dishes we choose were very good, I would like to recommend the peppers.

Having last dined here 4 years ago when my husband and I first started dating we decided to return as we were in the area. The service was professional and quick. The food was excellently prepared, well cooked and delicious.

Elvis tribute act night - eight friends, we had so much fun. Lively,friendly atmosphere, good service. We had heard the food was good but it exceeded our expectations - as it a 'cabaret' eve, we could only order from set menu All of our dishes were delicious - the meat eaters amongst us had steak - apparently one of the best steaks they had eaten. Only niggle - just one vegetarian main option - however this dish was also very good. Can't wait to return to try the tapas menu

Friendly restaurant for good Spanish cousin. Friendly and prompt Service with reasonable prices. Even the wine was not too expensive. for a party of seven, we paid £180. for a variety of dishes and two bottles of wine.

Has Ben looking for a local tapas bar for ages and found this one. Good selection of meals, beautifully cooked and served. Will certainly be visiting again.

I moved to the area a few months ago, some people recommended this restaurant as I’m Spanish. I finally tried it a couple of days ago and I was rather disappointed. Service was ok, rather slow and not very engaging with the customers. Menu has lots of dishes that are not Spanish at all, I suppose after all they need to cater for all sorts.

This is Hampton Hill and not London! A rude lady who hung up on me. My friend I were passing - we heard the music only to be told it is £35 to get in to have a meal.....even though we had already had a meal. Common as muck over the phone! Her excuse - she didn't know my name so instead she called me darling. I was born in this country yet people like her seem to think it is acceptable to be rude. It is not acceptable for anyone to be rude!

This is rapidly becoming my favourite local restaurant. My partner and I have been here several times over the past few months and everything we have tried has been delicious. We came here for 'Steak Night' and enjoyed two fabulous sirloin steaks with chips and pepper sauce.

I have been a regular visitor here for a number of years. The menu is great, there is something for everyone always fresh and cooked to order. The staff are all great, The Manager Tanya especially. My favourite dish is the Espetada ( steak on a giant skewer).

Great local to have just round the corner for Spanish tapas. Nice and chilled environment but I remember the waiters being a bit grumpy.

I cannot speak more highly about this wonderful restaurant and their staff. We booked our 25th Wedding Anniversary Party to be held there. Tanya made it so easy for us, helping us with every detail. She is very friendly and made the whole experience stress free. Our guests were treated to wonderful food , which was hot and delicious. We received so many compliments the next day from our 90 guests about the atmosphere and how well organised it was.. And above all how amazing the food was. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and said they would return. I would highly recommend to anyone ! First Class !

My wife and I are frequent visitors to La Familia and always enjoy the excellent food and relaxed , pleasant ambience...This Friday we took 2 friends along who were "newbies" to the restaurant...They loved it and will be returning very soon....and of course so will we..
