La Dolce Vita Pizzeria in Newry and Mourne

Just seems to be going down hill ordered food for delivery and when it arrived the food was absolutely freezing and the crust of the pizza was absolutely burnt to a crisp

Foods good and the staff are friendly but the prices and portion sizes are a joke lol, everything on the menu costs an extra 2 pound if you want to order online. The delivery is also 6/7 pound 😂 Kebabs couldn’t feed a child and the pizzas just aren’t worth the money

Food is fantastic wait time is excruciating long and people have no patience and can be mean to the staff !

They give food that hasn't been collected on time out to those that order in store as if its fresh. Enjoy your chicken chip kebab thats been sitting here 45mins so that it's freezing cold, chips are full of hard old potatoes, chicken is dry, sauce is all dried up. The wee female manager that gives out the orders has no regard for the customer at all and she's often horrible to the staff too

Wouldn’t give 1 star I bought food from Dolce Vita Newry takeaway on 28/10/23. Inside the food was a huge piece of chipped hard plastic. The food had to be thrown out and I emailed the team a photo of the food. I got a rather uninterested response. After emailing again I was told I would receive a voucher for the trouble. Weeks pass by again and no voucher. I followed up again with the same manager and they send me £10 (wouldn’t cover the meal I had to bin). Terrible customer service from the start and even worse food. Would never eat from this place again as you don’t know the cleanliness of the kitchens.

1 star is even too much. the staff are incredibly rude. they do not use gloves when making the food. i am very disappointed in the level of customer service here.

very slow service, long waiting time and once food is got half the time it’s cold. very rude staff who are uneducated looks like a lack of training! wouldn’t rush back

The food is meh, however the chicken was extremely overcooked it was very tough and dry not to mention the excessively rude service i got when i rang in i will NOT be coming back that’s for sure!!! i found a hair in my kebab and felt violently ill and the fact they got my order wrong in the first place.

Don't normally leave reviews, but today I was very disappointed. Took 2 hours for my pizza to finally arrive, which they also forgot my drink. I still had to pay full price for it all. (Fair play to the delivery driver, he did offer to go back it) Dolce vita used to be the best place in town. Standards have dropped drastically

absolutely hate writing reviews about people and places as i work with the public in my own job and can understand how stressful it can be on people but waitress Katrina was incredibly rude and didn’t even need to speak a word to know that last thing i want is for her to face any sanction or punishment just hoping she can lean as someone less understanding could of took it a lot worse none the less fast service and good food

The young fellas in the back kitchen were listening to banging tunes, making stone baked pizzas. Great! Quick service. Exceeded expectations by exactly 200%

Surprisingly good pizza for takeway from this place in Newry. One of the few places in town open late and was quite a find.

The food is nice but unfortunately the price of everything keeps steadily rising even before all the inflation for the last few years, I remember the price of a chicken chip kebab being £6.50 and now it's £8.50. I liked this place but I can't justify spending £8.50 on a something that hasn't improved since it was £6.50.

- whoever greeted us at the door, looked like she drew a short straw and was forced into work - once at our table, we couldn't ignore the swarm of flies around A/C vent - ordered starters, and 2 pizzas _ all food came out at once, so I sent starters back, was told i'll not be charged for them - One pizza was piping hot, other one cold, not even warm - cold. - let's discuss room temperature milkshakes. Well, it's just chocolate milk and whipped cream on top. Nothing milkshakey about it. They were actually warmer than the cold pizza - and off course they tried to charge me for starters - my complaints were not even acknowledged

Impressed with the range of pizzas available and despite ordering on a busy Saturday evening the food was ready in no time because of the amount of staff working.

Quick, delicious and super friendly and helpful staff that goes above and beyond. I was served by a lovely lad named Eugene, super nice and just a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended for a tasty, quick and full bite!

The wife's favourite pizza (comes with salad and dressing, tells you all you need to know about men and women), she would give it 5 stars. Not my favourite pizza, but they are very good. Way better than most of their competitors.

Went on Friday night a party of 4. They forgot 1 person's order, who had to watch the rest of us eat for 30 minutes until it was brought to him. I then paid the bill and asked for a box for my pizza. This took 10 minutes while she joked and hand jived with fellow staff member as we sat with coats on waiting to leave. Terrible service.

I'm disgusted with this place. Their pizzas used to be nice. Now, when I took it from the delivery guy, you would've sworn there was nothing inside. Opened it up, the cheese looked like melted cheese slices, (the orange ones) not much pepperoni, even though I asked for double cheese and double pepperoni. It was cold, burnt, slices were different sizes and it was doubled over like a Calzone. But it did arrive on time. Just. It also cost £22.50 including delivery. Very disappointed. I gave it 1star because there was no lower option. (Sorry Sid, but you need to train up your staff on their telephone manner and your 'Chefs' on how to make a pizza. It's not rocket science.) People who want their pizza delivered are getting the short straw because they don't see the state of the pizza until they open it up, by then, it's already too late.

Even a 1 star is to good. Disgusting food. Got a kebab, stuffed with cheese and cabbage.Cold kebab- pita bread colder than the kebab itself. Can't understand their pizza order either. Was my last visit ever. Do not recommend

The food might taste good but the service is desperate and the staff are ignorant. I rang to order a takeaway and I had a question about how the gluten free pizzas are prepared. I was passed onto another member of staff who greeted me with a 'what's the issue' when I only wanted to ask a question. I placed the order and was told 25 mins. I arrived after 20 mins to be told it wasn't ready yet and then 10 minutes later I saw them put it in the oven. 30 mins after I had ordered it wasn't even on to cook and it wasn't a particularly busy night. The staff could see that I was aware of this and decided to just whisper back and forth about it while looking over at me. They could have just said it was delayed

Give me the wrong order phoned the shop to tell them I'll be returning it uneaten which was agreed but when i arrived in store the 'supervisor' (little guy with braces) argued about it, finally after a couple of minutes back and forth issued a refund (70p short) (basic mathematics obviously not a job requirement) and as i left i was told and i quote 'I'm banned for life' to which i replied 'you ain't the only game in town' and by looking at the pizza far from the best in town

Waited over 45 minutes for pizza, when I got it, it was freezing cold and burnt, I was told I would only have to wait 10/15 minutes for the pizza and I am pregnant and very sick and nauseous and can barely stand. They were giving everyone else their food before they gave us ours even though we ordered before everyone that came.

Lads. I have to say this was one of the most repulsive take outs I’ve ever had. I literally got a kebab that was stuffed with coleslaw and cheese with hardly any chicken. Nearly gagged. Chips were sweaty and under cooked swimming in a bath of cheap garlic mayo. Just bad. 🤢

Ordered at Patrick Street Newry food took 2 hours to come chips under cooked again and taste like frozen chips Food is bland pure rubbish for the price of it and small portions won't be eating here again place has gone to the dogs need more delivery drivers on and people that can cook 0 stars

Extremely let down by staff in LDV Newry. travelled in to get our family order after being told it would be 25 mins for collection, waiting the guts of an hour in the shop to travel back home to have 2 pizzas that were wrong. (An order over £30) When ringing back told I would have to travel back into the shop with the wrong pizzas to get a refund. Meanwhile 2 children at home annoyed and hungry. This was the best that could have been offered. Ridiculous when the issue was their mistake. Could have been dealt with on a more professional way, was basically told that we asked for the specific pizza we received when the order is something as a family would never order.

Awesome pizza, proper wood-fired style, I had margarita, best pizza I've had in Ireland. Good service & reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

The pizza was okay, however when I rang the order in and collected it I found that the staff I was dealing with were very rude and not friendly whatsoever. Very poor customer service, food not worth dealing with the bad manners.

Great taste of pizza like from my home. Always tasty made by friendly people. Highly recommended.

Don't order for delivery. Its an expensive LONG wait. They try to hide the fact thst the food is tasteless under a sea of garlic and chilli sauce. Would work if the sauce wasn't sickening after a few mouthfuls. 2 stars for the simple fact they are crazy enough to make a donor kebab pizza with chips. Sums Newry up that monstrosity.

The place is full of young teens and the menu is pretty dull for adults. The pizza is ok, but just bland. First meal out in months since covid started, so was really looking forward to it...just really disappointed. Table wasn’t clean when we went in and the place had the AC so high it was freezing.

I love ldv me and my friends go here all the time. It has such a warm atmosphere and everyone loves it. It is very welcoming to everyone. The chicken chip kebab is beyond amazing. The drinkks are good, the desserts are good basically EVERYTHING IS GOOD. only bad thing is that you cannot book in advance :( OTHERWISE AMAZING totally reccomend to anyone

i was really happy to get my chicken meal but i was waiting outside for them for an hour and a half turns out they werent comming and the penson on the phone was very rude and snappy and now im very sad that i dint get my food im really mad at yous so u get 1 STAR

Hygiene is taken seriously at this place, staff were actively cleaning, disinfecting and cleaning their hands. Food was delicious, the pizza base is light and tasty, the tomato sauce has plenty of flavour and they are certainly not stingy with the toppings. This place is highly recommended.

Food lethal BUT... Last night my friends and I went here hoping to enjoy a lovely meal before going to a show. Unfortunately from the get go we were the victim of prejudice due to us being teenagers. Even though the comfortable booths were available and we were a large enough group to occupy them we were given a table extremely close to the door where we were hit by a cold draft every time the door was opened. Everything from there was fine until we received our food and drink. First of all we ordered a jug of lemonade but what we recieved was clearly watered down club lemon and definitely not the usual lemonade that I’ve had before. Furthermore I ordered a margarita pizza however, what I was given was a chicken chip kebab pizza, now usually I wouldn’t have minded and would have eaten it without complaint but due to me being a vegetarian I obviously couldn’t just pick the chicken off. However after i sent it back, I must say my replacement magharita was cooked very quickly. THEN after we had clearly finished our food we had to wait nearly 40 minutes for our table to be cleared so we could order dessert. Of course I wouldn’t have minded if the restaurant was busy but it was on a Tuesday night with only 3 other tables and 2 waitresses serving them and not us. We had seen food ordered and given to the other tables whilst our empty plates still sat at ours. It was clear that we were not being served because of our age as we were the only table with customers in our age group and the only ones waiting for our waitress.ADDITIONALLY we ordered the “Hot Brookie” to share but the promised Nutella™️ Filling was clearly hazelnut chocolate sauce . Would NOT recommend...

Overpriced and waiting for too long and poor customer service and cold food

First of all, menu has changed so less vege options than before. When the pizzas came, one was the wrong order. My daughter and I ordered Aperol Spritz for drinks but they were rotten. There was too much liqueur and looked and tasted like there was no Prosecco in it all. We couldn't finish our drinks. We had to ask for water three times before we got a carafe. Very, very disappointing and I won't be going back anytime soon.

Chicken chip kebab pizza unreal

Dolce Vitae is favoured by a generation of Newry people, mostly students and the local yokels who have never tasted decent food, or been to a good restaurant. Tonight,we were served dried up ham and pineapple pizza with chips than had skinny dipped in barely warm oil. It was slop of the highest order. I had stayed away from Dolce Vita for many a year, remembering their sloppy, practically wet offerings for only for the drunk (which I was then, but still managed to find them objectionable). Tonight’s return will not be repeated. So beware traveller of this establishment’s glowing reviews for they have been penned by Newry Numpties, unskilled, barely educated (degree from the Tech does not count as an education) and not travelled beyond Dundalk(Magaluf). They therefore, mean nothing to the more discerning individual.

Always look forward to a Dolce Vita pizza when on holiday in Warrenpoint but tonight’s BBQ pizza was a huge letdown. Dry, bland and with barely a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Reading recent reviews I now realise it's a common complaint. Not impressed and won’t be back.

Usually order every Friday night normally spend around £30. Ordered a delivery on Friday night at 8 o’clock, half 9 and still no food so rang back and was told it was left and on it’s way. 10 o’clock still no food and they said that order had been changed to collection but they would start it now. Told them didn’t want it anymore and they said ok. Customer service is beyond ridiculous. Will never eat here again. 2 hour wait for no food is a joke.

Very poor service . 5 staff and had my pizza ready for 5 minutes . Asked for a large pizza and the toppings only came out as far as a 9 inch pizza. Well below average

Only go to this place once every so often, but for some reason I'm always sitting about waiting on small orders (some times waiting 30mins) but normally 10/15mins. Food is nice but would highly recommend their sit in shop over hillstreet

One of our favourite places for pizza - plus delicious sides and friendly, attentive service! The Peri Peri sharing pizza is our usual plus some taco fries, enough for us all. Plus a lovely milkshake for the kids!

Second time ordering from this restaurant in 2 weeks and second time pizza was cold when I got home. Went to collect food at 11pm, pizzas sat there for 15 minutes waiting on wedges to be made. House is 5 minutes from the restaurant and pizza was as if it was cooked over 30 minutes ago. Extremely disappointed and will not be ordering from here again

I love La dolces food! Pizza and kebabs are great! But sometimes can be a hit or miss. Sometimes food can arrive cold, small portion size or lack of sauce! This needs to be improved! But overall food is yummy!
