La Casita in Bradford

Love this place - you can never go wrong with the croquettes, popcorn halloumi and chorizo - we definitely got our favourites in yesterday!! We had gorgeous mocktails due to my pregnant friend and these came with fresh fruit galore - was fantastic! Thanks Jess for great service yet again!

We have just eaten here for the all you can eat tapas. In 1 and a half hours we were served 6 dishes between 2 of us. They were smaller than we’ve had previously when not an all you can eat. We were at one point left without food for half an hour, which is when we decided to leave. We also had to wait 20 minutes without a drink. I understand this when a restaurant is busy, however the staff were talking by the till for the majority of the time we were there in groups of 3/4. There were also other tables who had ordered 2/3 times in the time it took for us to receive our initial order. When we asked to pay, the staff charged us full price without asking how the meal was. We have eaten at the Skipton (and Leeds when it was open) restaurant previously and always received such a high level of service. We are honestly so disappointed. Given it’s the end of lockdown, we were so excited for this. We even booked close to one month in advance. We definitely won’t be back to the Ilkley branch. Given we have never complained or left a bad review anywhere else previously, it should give you an idea as to how bad our experience was.

Food excellent. Especially the lamb and calamares Service impeccable. Just wished the dishes had come out together as a “unit” They arrived in dribs and drabs which isn’t the best way to enjoy a tapas experience! But that aside it was such a lovely first meal out of lockdown. Thank you !

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a meal here last Wednesday. We’ve visited here for years and are always so impressed with the foods authenticity, unpretentious venue and exemplary service and this visit was no different other than the added, and sadly necessary, covid measures. Lucy was looking after us, in fact everyone, and was nothing short of incredible. Her service was effortless friendly an not intrusive. Our food was delicious and packed full of flavour. Lucy apologised for the odd dish being a touch slower to reach the table which was due to the take away service proving so popular, we are just so pleased to see the service being used!!Looking forward to our next visit, I’m sure it won’t be too long!Thank you to Lucy and the chefs for yet another wonderful experience!!

This is one of our favourite restaurants and we brought along our grown up daughter and her partner who were staying with us for a few days. I think we ordered almost every dish and finished off the evening with espresso martinis. Our daughter is a pescatarian and loved the vegetarian and seafood dishes. We especially loved the chorizo in red wine and the pork belly which is astonishingly good! A few jugs of sangria went down so well! Great atmosphere, superb service as always from Jess and her team - thank you! We will be back very soon!

Great service from the waiting staff who were really great. Food was pretty good although the prawns were super super super bland. But overall everything was great. The pork was a particular highlight.

When to La Casita Ilkley yesterday for bottomless brunch and had an amazing experience. The food is amazing and the service was fantastic. The 2 girls Jess and Lucy were super friendly and helpful and always made sure our drinks were topped up. Such a brilliant deal and the standard of the food and drink is incredible. Our first post-lockdown meal out in West Yorkshire. The restaurant had quite a few tables removed to keep within guidelines. We were warmly welcomed and everything explained to us as to how it would work (trays brought to the table, where we would take the dishes off, to limit the time the staff were at our table). As usual, delicious tapas and authentically cooked. We chose the fish and vegetable dishes and I can highly recommend the calamari and garlic king prawns, which were so good, we asked for a second dish! The halloumi popcorn was really good too. A bottle of Spanish house red was a good choice. For dessert we chose a raspberry parfait and a white chocolate parfait - both really lovely. As our visit was during the Eat Out to Help Out, it was even better getting £20 off our bill! We will be back soon! Thanks everyone for working so hard to make everything perfect. It was really appreciated.

We decided to to eat before watching a film in Ilkley, so we settled upon this tapas bar, what a great decision.....a warm welcome ,great tapas and lovely staff ....we will be back for the early bird again.We went for the early bird ,which works out a reasonable price.. but the full price unfortunately would normally be beyond my pension .....which is a pity as I would love to eat there every week......

Met up with friends who were also first time visitors to La Casita. Nice table then the menu explained and recommendations offered by an enthusiastic and lovely waitress. Always feel you order too much food when having Tapas in a group and this was the case but there was so much on the menu to want to try. As always some dishes are better than others and some group members didn't always agree on the variety. However, all in all great food, even better service and I feel value for money overall. If the other 4 branches are as good as Ilkley we will certainly go again. Great staff led by a superb Manageress.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at this restaurant on Saturday 5th of October with our two friends.We ordered 20 tapas dishes between four of us ( we left very very full ! ) each one was delicious and came very well presented and hot.The atmosphere was great and the manager and his team all did a outstanding job keeping the food and wine flowing all evening.A big thank you to Elouise who was very professional and even after a slight balancing trick with the coffee she kept her cool and had a bit of fun . We all commented how well she had done even after only working for the restaurant for a very short time and having to put up with us lot after we had far too much wine ! keep up the good work Elouise you are good at it .We will definitely go again and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening and dining experience in Ilkley.Once again Thank you to everyone we will be back .Tim

Had an evening meal here with friends. We chose 2 tapas dishes each plus a salad and chips. We shared all the dishes. The food came fairly quickly and all the dishes were served at the same time. The food was hot, tasty and well presented. The staff were courteous and efficient. We had a table outside which was lovely, very cosy under all the heat lamps. Fantastic restaurant would thoroughly recommend.

Went on a Friday night for dinner with my partner, staff are very friendly, and the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

The whole experience I found to be of a good standard. Looking forward to a return visit when it’s not 40 degrees in there. Had to cancel desert as far too hot. I admire the staff for putting up with those working conditions! Was the hottest day of the year tbf. Will return and will be recommending.

Visited on a Saturday evening, booked online which was easy and efficient. Selection of dishes is good and waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. Went for 3 dishes each which was just about the right quantity. Brilliant selection of gins and cocktails which we took full advantage of! Wine very reasonably priced. All food doesn’t come at once which makes it a much more relaxed experience. We were here early evening and the place was getting busier by the minute, but we were not rushed to vacate our table and sat and had a post meal martini! All in all a really pleasant Saturday evening and will be visiting again !

My favourite place about La Casita is probably the cocktails - there are many variations on an espresso martini and they are all absolutely beautiful!! I really recommend trying one during your visit.

We've been here a couple of times before and found it pleasant and quite good value with some imaginative dishes. Two minor points. The music can be a bit loud for some and the individual dishes came mostly one at a time and perhaps not in the order we wanted to eat them. But this didńt detract from an enjoyable evening.

Lovely food and great staff. We have had numerous pleasant experiences here. Food is always tasty and we get so carried away with the menu as there is so much to chose from.

We have been here 4 or 5 times, the food is absolutely to die for and the service is spot on. Couldn’t recommend a place more. Their knowledge on cocktails is second to none - excellent night out every single time.

We ordered 4 Tapas dishes. 2 of them came and we had to ask where the others were. The next one came when we had nearly finished the first two and the last one never arrived. When we enquired about it the waiter said he was sorry but it was his fault that he never ordered it and it would take 10 to 15 minutes so we cancelled it. We had a bottle of Rose but the whisky with a small bottle of lemonade was £11.75 which we thought was expensive. We left and went somewhere else where we had a desserts and coffee.

I visited the Leeds restaurant a few weeks ago with friends and had such a wonderful experience I was excited to book my local Ilkley restaurant for a special family gathering. Gutted I did. Miserable greeting, then just left for ages before anyone asked for our drinks. Appalling service doesn’t even come close. Female manager unbelievably rude. Forced to pay £12 for a 4 year old to nibble on some bread and a dish of fries. Given that 6 adults were paying for all you can eat the fact the toddler wasn’t allowed to share a very small amount of our dishes - that came to £170 is ridiculous. Service was also incredibly slow. They bring one dish every 10-15 mins so when there’s 6 of you sat there, there is just no flow or atmosphere. The opposite to what good tapas is about. Will never return and will never recommend just wish I had read the below reviews before booking. Save your money and choose from the many friendly, quality restaurants Ilkley has to offer because this certainly isn’t one of them.

We visited and had prebooked. Our greeting amounted to no more than "We need the table back in 2 hours so if your going to be longer you'll have to sit at the bar".

This is 2nd time we have been. Really enjoyed 1st visit, 2nd time service appalling for a Tuesday night. Table booked for 5.45 , got there early didn't come out until 7.50! Wine we ordered ran out on Saturday, meats and cheese ordered didnt have selection of cheese offered ( we had to chase up this order) and had to ask for dessert menu - coffee arrived before dessert! When asked when paying how was service told them it was good not advisable to tell customer not welcome in restaurant and to f off especially when other customers agreed service not good and they'd been waiting 20 mins. The excuse they only had 1 chef on isn't a good enough reason.

Went tonight, absolutely terrible. Rubbish service and food want nice at all. Staff was awful and unfriendly Waste of money. Avoid at all costs Save your money!

Came here once for dinner and the food was great but I left feeling hungry (as I always do after having tapas). However, this time I came on the last Sunday of the month for the all you can eat deal for £20. The quality of the food was amazing and, unlike with some other all you can deals, they don't rush you out of the door when you're only just getting started! You obviously have a limited selection of dishes but there was still a wide range and, as I said before, the quality was amazing. Left feeling full,which was a first for a tapas meal!

My wife and I have eaten a lot of Tapas in many places, both in Spain and the UK. This was average at best.

I m a Spanish national and i have never had such a bad tapas in my life ,small portion not spanish at all ,very expensive, bad service , spanish bar having rock music playing ,no spanish atmosphere at all .Waitress forgot to bring the drink .Was freezing cold restaurant ,avoid like the pleb and the fact that there own website doesn't show reviews or allow you to click on reviews says it all .How is this people still in business i don't know .I can only imagine it sthe extorsion prices for dishes that wouldn t feel my chihuahua ,is definitely not repeat business.We don't t normally leave reviews but though that they deserve this one .

What a shame. The food here was fresh, tasty and full of flavour. The whole experience was let down by the awful and rude service we received by one particular waitress who offended my sister and was just plain rude and abrupt and would talk back to us when we politely complained about something- never have we endured such bad service and each member of our party are extremely well travelled. My sister was just told 'apple juice' in response to if they had any non-alcoholic wine (with sarcasm in the tone of voice and attitude). When we ordered a non-alcoholic beer instead, we asked to exchange it as it tasted foul and not at all like other non-alcoholic beers to which the same waitress said....again with attitude and a rude tone....."well I drink a lot of beer and there is nothing wrong with that-----have you even had it before?!". When she came to deliver food she just dumped a dish down and said "i'm just going to dump this here". I could go on but I highly suggest this lady be dismissed or re-trained as it really soured our experience and left us insulted. Shame as the food really is delicious-----especially the gambas which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour.

It was our first visit and I was initially disappointed when we were seated outside of the main restaurant in a built on terrace next to a scruffy looking gas heater. Things however then improved! The food was extremely tasty ( especially the prawns) and the wine was very good too. Some of the dishes were a bit over priced ( eg. Manchego croquettes) but all in all a very pleasant evening. We would return when in the Ilkley area again.

We went to the la Casita in Skipton for the first time.

La Casita is a restaurant specializing in Spanish tapas. Offering a wide-variery of meat, fish and cheese dishes. We went as a couple and found 6-7 dishes between us was plenty of food, the hardest part was choosing between all the options. It all tasted so good we'll definitely be back to try out some of the other items on the menu.

I was not a tapas fan until I went to La Casita in Ilkley - I am now thoroughly converted having had the pleasure of several Saturday nights there with my wife. I can honestly say that the food is exceptional and I really struggle to limit myself to a sensible number of courses - I could easily polish off the entire menu (and three parfait deserts to share has now become the norm). It generally has a really nice and relaxed atmosphere and the service has always been attentive and helpful, particularly when we have been served by the very knowledgeable chap that I think is the manager. We generally like variety and to experience new restaurants - La Casita now has made that really hard and I am counting down the days until our next time.

Visited Ilkley and came upon this. Staff were polite and friendly. Food was great and served quickly. The Ox cheeks were best. Very good atmosphere. Price on par with tapas near home. One small note was the menu stated cheese had rennet in it so was not vegatarian. The vegetarian offers on the menu some had cheese.

Tbh I’m not a big tapas fan, or at least I wasn’t until I tasted food like this. Food was absolutely fantastic!! Paid the £18 er head and the dishes kept arriving all of excellent quality.

Three of us had a lovely meal at La Casita. The food is excellent and the wine choice really compliments this.

We arrived a few minutes after the kitchen technically closed, (9.30 pm because I asked by calling on route). A booking was offered to us by the manager on duty for 9 pm as my partner and I were heading up on the M1 from London, and meeting my sister in Ilkey to join her for the weekend.

Visited on a Saturday evening with a couple of friends. Initially all was fine and our waitress explained how many dishes per person we should order and told my friend who was driving that they could make her a nice mocktail. When we ordered we said we would probably order more shortly but no one ever came back which was disappointing. The food we tried was very good and well presented but by the time our waiter returned we just opted for a dessert instead. I would like to revisit

Went on the last Sunday of the month for the all you can eat menu for £18. Great value. There was plenty of choice and we all ate well. Standout dishes were Manchego croquettes, truffle tries and raspberry parfait but everything was good. Fast efficient service.

Booked for a pre cinema meal giving ourselves a good 1.5 hours. They took 15 mins to take the drink order and when we asked if we could order our food we were told it would be a 10-15 minutes wait as they were very busy. They suggested we may like to order an appetiser whilst we were waiting to order which we did but it never materialised!

Friendly good service although perhaps too attentive in clearing away tapas plates while we were still picking at it. Good variety of dishes. Ox cheeks excellent. Hanger stake, a speciality of the evening, was a bit disappointing - a good steak but not special. Whitebait came with a very heavy batter so somewhat filling. Good varied wine list.

I booked online for our monthly ladies social on my sons recommendations.Its in a wonderful Victorian arcade.We had the tapas menu explained to us by the waitress,so we decided to order 2 tapas each. The meat and fish portions sizes were small for the cost where you got better portions with the other tapas.Even the bread was one small strip each! It was nice to get water with your meal without having to pay for it. The service started of well but it fell of towards the end of the meal,even though it was not full!

Excellent night, start to finish. La casita is such a warm cosy place with an authentic decor that makes you feel you're dining in Barcelona. We shared around 15 tapas, all very tasty. Finished our meal with gorgeous parfait and great gin cocktails. Thank you for a fab evening, La casita! Can't wait to come back x

It had been a while since we last visited but that is no fault of La Casita and I was a bit worried that our previous great experiences would not be repeated . I shouldn’t have been concerned. Once again Great food and atmosphere enjoyed by everyone in our group. We had a selection of veg/fish and meat Tapas which were all delicious. We have booked for their endless Tapas day last Sunday in the month. So we won’t leave it so long next time.

Just finished a meal here and, as usual, it was faultless. Some lovely specials on: don’t go the usual meat and cheese and bread, push the boat out and get the amazing ox cheeks, octopus, or bourbon squash. The waiter/manager seems to have returned after a year absence and he was his usual brilliant self.

We had an impromptu family get-together (5 of us), we all decided to ask our waiter to provide a selection of his recommendations and we couldn't have asked for better food, the different flavours, textures, such a wide range which we all agreed we wouldn't have necessarily ordered but couldn't fault anything at all. The service was excellent and the portions just kept coming, we were stuffed. Without a doubt we will be back for awesome food, great wine and a fantastic atmosphere. Great work La Casita.

Visited Sunday 27th May whilst having a weekend away. We had booked before arriving and a set menu was on offer. The food was great, service good and good value for money. Loved it!

Monday to Wednesday there's an early bird offer here on Tapas - 3 plates for £13, so we thought we'd take advantage of this and give La Casita a try. It's actually slightly hidden away within a covered victorian style arcade, a nice airy and different setting.

Came for a friend's birthday. Although it was a large group the food arrived promptly and was delicious, especially the duck breast. Others particularly enjoyed the prawns. Will definitely return.

Used to love this restaurant, unfortunately it seems to have lost its way. Menu not as interesting as it used to be, food was ok but not great, most of it was like warm at best. Service was pretty poor too, disappointing all round.

A lovely little restaurant and faultless service but unfortunately I found the place extremely expensive with small tapas like portions of food that were simply that, small portions of food with not a hint of Spain about them! I wouldn't revisit.

Visited with our 8 and 4 year old. We all loved the food. I can’t even say especially, as it was all lovely. We had white bait, calamari, croquettes, ox cheeks, fish cakes, potatas bravas and bread selection! We all had a dessert and again no complaints. We visited early evening so got the three tapas for £13! The staff are so friendly and attentive. A fabulous evening thank you!

Have always heard good things about this place so thought we would give it a try for my birthday last week. There were 7 of us so we did book even if it was a weekday. None of us had been before so we were grateful for the suggestions of how much to order. The food was amazing!! Perfect portion sizes and only disappointed we didn't order it all! The staff were friendly and helpful, and we will definitely be back soon!

Went here with my sister and we really wanted to chat. It was great we were able to order 6 dishes which we shared. It was informal but still super food well cooked lastly tapas but generous portions. Definitely will return.

I first went to La Casita in Ilkley last year for a valentines day meal with my other half and couldn't fault it, food amazing and service was fine. We went last weekend however for my other halfs birthday and the service was shocking! Total let down because the food is amazing - I wish we could have had more of it but we were totally ignored by the staff all night.

This is my second review of La Casita. I think once you know you’re not going to have typical Spanish tapas and instead treat it as mini versions of tasty food, the experience massively improves.

Fabulous! The menu choices are really well thought out with something for every taste. The food was well presented and delicious. Service came with a smile and knowledgeable when helping us to choose dishes. Great selection of drinks too. Well done La Casita Ilkley - we’ll be back again.

We've eaten here quite often but haven't reviewed for a couple of years. We had a great selection of food - nearly all of the dishes were absolutley delicious. Strongly recommend.

This used to be one of my favourite places in Ilkley, but the service last night left much tobe desired. We were sat at the back of the restaurant and for about 15 minutes there was no visit to that area from any of smthe staff. When someone finalky came it was to serve the table next to us. She was still oblivious to our table and I had to stand up to get her attention. This level of attentiveness continued all night. It took over an hour for them to bring out a single dish. For a tapas restaurant I thought this was pretty lame. They could easily have brought out one or two dishes to keep us going. When I mentioned this to be fair they did bring out a couple of dishes.

Four of us visited yesterday and we all left still hungry. The food was ok but you need to order lots and lots of portions to feel like you’ve had enough to each. At roughly £6 pound a portion the bill soon adds up.

Very good tapas - and very substantial portions. The downside is the noise level inside the restaurant (outside in the arcade is quieter) and the speed - in and out in less than hour - if you plan a chatty evening.

There are some really great things about La Casita; the location, the wine, some of the dishes (the pork and apple, the scallops, the halloumi and churros were great). However, there are also some things which let it down. Our calamari had clearly been pre cooked and then microwaved meaning it was soggy. The order in which the food came out was also disappointing as we received all our sides last - two portions of potatoes and salad. Pointless when all our other dishes had been eaten earlier - a slight timing issue. All in all an OK evening but not entirely representative of true Spanish tapas.

Just spent the evening at this restaurant. We asked to move tables as the music speaker was just above us and it was hard to hear each other speak, waitress seemed surprised at our request.We ordered the meal and cheese selection which was the most expensive tapas on the menu, so we expected a decent sized portion and it was, then some fried potatoes and some calamari. The waitress said we hadn't ordered enough and suggested another dish, so we ordered the lamb. We also ordered 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc too.The food arrived and was lovely, we struggled to finish it all and didn't really need the extra dish.We ordered coffees and we asked for semi or skimmed milk, please note they only provide whole milk which neither of us have so we declined the coffees. The waitress seemed surprised that we didn't want whole milk. The bill then arrived and was £52.50. Each glass of wine was £8.50, which we considered way overpriced!!! Would I return, probably not.

Went here for my partners birthday. Online booking was easy, the menu was varied and explained well by our server. The food was delicious- dishes arriving as they were prepared meaning that the surprises just kept coming! Would definitely recommend the pork cheeks. We will be going back again

Great menu and different options from other tapas restaurants. Excellent food quality and great value for money, as a vegetarian I was very impressed with the options available. If you're a gin drinker there is an excellent array of gins available too. Would definitely recommend

Visited on a Sunday with my sister and husband, booking is advisable as it was quite busy .unfortunately all the outside tables were taken, this area is very pretty as it is undercover in a victorian arcade and there are fairy lights etc. However inside was nice too. We had a selection of 9 tapas which were brought to the table at intervals so we weren't overwhelmed with plates. Every dish was delicious and large enough for the three of us to share. Wine was £20 a bottle and the recommended white was very good. The bill came to £25 per person which was good value for monst. Definitely will return.

I took my Dad for dinner here at the weekend as it was his Birthday, and it was incredible service from the start. We had some of their speciality cocktails before our food arrived which were really nice, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. From the next table's waiter wishing my Dad a happy Birthday when he saw the cards on the table to our waiter making the meal extra special, I can't thank the staff enough for such an enjoyable evening. The food was delicious too, and the menu offers something really unique in Ilkley and the surrounding towns.

I have visited this restaurant numerous times and always enjoy the food. The choice of dishes and the quality is always excellent. The staff are always very helpful and friendly.

I've been here a few times and this is the best one yet! The food was incredible and the service was friendly and attentive, even when the restaurant became full. I will not be waiting so long for my next visit!

I decided to shoot over the tops to eat in ilkley for yet another birthday meal for my mum and had decided what we wanted but then noticed La Casita. The young girl who served us was lovely I think she was called Laura and couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing but sadly no one in which I believe it needed something like a 3 Tapas for £... or a bottle of wine with etc , but instead of a quick cheap meal it ended up being nearly £50 which isn't allot but we weren't drinking and all deals were off today. I felt after looking at the bold lettering on the outside menu 3 Tapas for I think £11 would had suited us and our quick lunch. The one thing that we thought was a little tasteless and chewy was the pork. Everything else was lovely, staff and place spotless. Don't expect a cheap lunch though unless you time it on that day of the year where there is a Sunday lunch deal on....

A really lively atmosphere with good service and fabulous food.Great variety of choice on the tapas style food, knowledgeable staff, all make for a great night out.

We visited here last Saturday with friends, knowing we also had a table for two booked for a week later for my birthday. Neither couple had been here before, but we are all fans of tapas and the reviews looked good. We ordered a varied selection of dishes which, when they arrived at the table, all looked rather pale and insipid. They all tasted OK, but they didn't live up to expectations. We asked for sangria and we were recommended to try the cava sangria. So we did. But it was extremely sweet and we found out later that they had added peach schnapps, which was all we could taste. The red wine sangria we had afterwards was better, but again, it wasn't quite right. We had already had a table booked here a week later for my birthday and we were wondering how it would turn out. We needn't have worried. The dishes we chose were all wonderfully cooked and so tasty. We mentioned it to the manager, who admitted that the previous week had been a trainee chef! A huge difference in taste, presentation and overall authenticity. We were recommended to try a Prosecco Marguerite and it was stunning. The warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and tomato salsa was a perfect start to our meal. I'd highly recommend: chicken strips, king prawns in garlic and chilli, calamari, potato with tomato, garlic and sour cream, the pork was superb and you must try the avocado, pomegranate and mango salad - we loved this dish so much, we had seconds. We also enjoyed a bottle of white Rioja which really complemented the dishes. Afterwards, we asked for an espresso martini, which sadly they couldn't do for us. So Jess suggested we tried the strawberry sorbet with a side measure of pink gin to pour over. Picture is attached. It was wonderful. We loved it and even suggested it to fellow diners at the next table. We then enjoyed espresso coffees. We had been given a table out on the mezzanine as requested and I can't recommend this enough. Much cooler (it was a hot evening!) and quieter too. A perfect birthday dinner. We will be back again soon!

I visited La Casita for my birthday after a previously enjoyable visit. The food is still excellent as are the drinks. However our waitress was very pushy and our bill was incorrect at the end of the meal. We were overcharged £26 and the waitress argued with us about it, which was upsetting and ruined the visit. They also include a portion bread on the 2 for £9 offer when it was only a couple of quid. We don't care how much things cost if they are correct and I do not expect to be argued with when in fact the mistake was yours. We will not be visiting again.

First time last night. Couldn't fault it apart from the price of the Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc. We both enjoy Marlborough White, but at £35 per bottle that is £6 in Asda that is sheer profiteering. Comments from the Management please.

Visited here a few times and it's a favourite place. Small but warm and friendly, very tasty food at a reasonable price.

I've have really looked forward to visiting this restaurant .The food was good but took 1 hours 40 minutes to bring 6 small tapas.Staff should say that tapas are for .one person.usually they are for sharing.

My wife and I ate here during a recent trip to Ilkley. We have dined here before and they lived up to our expectations. We each had 3 tapas and if we had been a bit earlier we could have got them for £13 (prior to 6:30). The special was Dover Sole in breadcrumbs with aioli - which was very hot and a large portion. Calamari was good as was the mushrooms in a delicious sauce. The chicken strips were fabulous. The menu is not hugely extensive but there is enough for even the most discerning of palates to find something good to eat. The wine list is similarly not extensive but has some good wines at decent value for money.

We visited on Saturday night with a group of friends. The location is great in the Victorian Arcade. The restaurant has a nice outside seating area, which was heated and inside it's modern with reclaimed wooden tables. The atmosphere was lively as it was busy with most tables taken. The waitress was very polite and recommended a £15 per head deal, which we went with. So everything about the surroundings was taken care of, however food wise I wasn't bowled over. For what worked out at £35 per head including wine, the amount of food you actually get is minimal. The dishes were ok, but man does not live on a meat ball, two prawns, a few potatoes, a small portion of salad and a ham hock crocket alone. The desserts were better as you got an individual portion, the flavours were good but presentation wasn't too flash. I totally appreciate if tapas is not your thing to start with, visiting this restaurant was never going to float your boat, however, having given it my best shot, I came away feeling underwhelmed. If the food that came had been bang on the money sensational then I would have understood the concept. As it wasn't, I didn't.

This place offers excellent tapas and the staff are very relaxed and friendly. The chorizo is my favourite dish but everything I've tried is authentic and delicious.
