Kushi in Thurrock

Disappointing Experience and sadly, it didn't meet expectations. The food was lukewarm and lacked flavor. The portions were small for the price. Wouldn't recommend.

Read your bill carefully, and if you want to be able to chat, don't go on Fridays. We paid a £40 deposit for 4 of us. Got the bill and it hadn't been taken off. Then got the bill and it had 16 poppadoms and 4 trays of chutneys on it. Then it finally came back correct. Our cocktails were strange...a very sweet mojitothat didn't seem to have any alcohol in it and a sweet cosmopolitan.. not right at all. My food was average. Not really very flavoursome and a bit bland. The DJ was quite loud for a small place and it was difficult to hear each other at points. Had really high hopes but it was aberration l average really but looks pretty and service was good.

We have been visiting Kushi now for over 10 years... this restaurant has always been a lovely place and Sharif and his team have always been really friendly. Kushi has had a complete overhaul and now has an amazing new menu with some different options and choices to try. There is also regular entertainment and interaction nights, if that is your thing. You can also now get some good beers and cocktails with your meal. Kushi has evolved and grown over the years and has now entered another phase of its being and I can say that I am liking the current vibe. The food has always been excellent here and this will no doubt continue. Highly, highly recommended...

I have never been to such a plush, stylish, professional and tasty restaurant in all my years of eating out. The greeting and seating was prompt and welcoming, the staff were friendly without being overbearing, and the food probably needs its own, separate review. We were so full of satisfaction after our starters, the main course was a real battle!! Try the fried sushi, it’s amazing!! Big thanks to the owners for personally ensuring that we were well fed and content. We’ll be back before you know it.

Not only was my food late it had no flavour. I don't know if it was because I had to warm it up as it was cold but won't be using this Indian again. Also I will be redirecting people away from them. Waste of money.

Friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Even got the thumbs up from the missus, who's a very non spicy person, she loved the Vegetarian Korma. Definitely go back again.

Highly recommend KUSHI restaurant and bar. We booked a table for 7.30pm this evening, we was shown straight to our table and our drinks order was taken and prepared in minutes. The food was amazing, we tried some of the new dishes on the menu including the sushi and the bao buns along with our usual favourite dishes. The atmosphere was lovely with the management and staff being attentive to all. Will definitely be back soon. Thankyou KUSHI

Stunning, amazing, just wow wow wow!! From food to service to /atmosphere decor everything exceeds my expectations of a restaurant in Grays. It’s like bringing a top both restaurant from Mayfair London into Chafford Hundred. I will definitely be making this my local weekly place to be at ❤️

Kushi Chafford Hundred was good before Covid. They even managed to keep a good take away going during Covid and provide free food to various and numerous NHS teams, and those in need in the community. They closed down a short while ago for a refit and an update of the menu. WOW is the first word that springs to mind. The restaurant it’s self seems bigger than before, a better layout and the Chef, well he was good before, but now he is excelling. There is also a fusion element to the menu now, which stands it apart from its competitors. If you like Asian food, and want to try something different and top class, then you have to make your way to Kushi without pause.

Every Xmas Eve, we have friends & family round and always order a home delivery. The last few years from Kushi. Their food is always excellent but this year was outstanding. Easily the tastiest food delivered hot to our home ever. Incredibly friendly service too. Earlier, my wife & I dined at the restaurant. Perfect!!

The brand new (relaunched) Kushi is amazing, from the food, the drink to the service, all top notch. The recent upgrade to the restaurants decor and menu is amazing. It was good before now it’s great. We’ve already rebooked and plan on coming a lot more. Can’t wait to go through the entire menu as everything looks amazing.

We went for the grand re-opening after the re-furb ..…WOW WOW WOW !!!! The decor is stunningly beautiful! The food was simply delicious and beautifully presented, the service outstanding, but it’s the vibe in here that makes it a truly unique and special experience! Oh! Had a lovely dinner, the food was delicious. We tried the new chicken tikka sushi and loved it! Our server Nash was excellent, everyone was very accommodating. Would 100% recommend.

Just had a an amazing meal at Kushi celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The staff were all amazing. We were greeted by the owner and his team looked after us throughout the meal. The meal was top quality, fresh and plentiful, they made a fuss of our daughter and even brought out a complementary waffle for dessert and sang happy birthday. Glad to see Kushi back open the refurbishment is top class. and we will be back again soon.

Amazing Fusion Indian restaurant. Great selection of dishes with something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes, the ambience and great service. I will definitely be back. We had a great evening at Kushi, the new refurbishment looks fantastic and the food & service was as good as always, with some new dishes on the menu to try. Nash the manager was really friendly & attentive.

Great to have Kushi restaurant back open and looking brilliant after its makeover. Food is excellent as always and Nash and his colleagues were helpful and very knowledgeable. We will be back!

Chips tasted like it was over cooked and was not nice at all,went straight in to the bin, however the rest of the meal was excellent!

Another brilliant night at Kushi. I am an Indian and they know how I like me curry - DESI STYLE - I get extra green chillies in it and they even made me a keema (which was not on the menu). Outstanding.

Vegetable curry was absolutely delicious, One of the best I have ever had, Vegetable samosas were fantastic, Compliments to the chefs…. Will be ordering again soon.

Came early than expected but we had asked for ASAP. Beautiful food and love the little extra gifts.

Been using Kushi for years but tonight must be the best meal iv ever had. Sample of the new menu! Salmon tikka and truffle naan are a must! Even done us an Irish coffee if we provided the whiskey.

Lovely staff, especially Nash, so friendly and the food was incredible. The butter chicken was so so good, will definitely be coming back!

I must say Kushi resturant is the best i have had in a long time. The food was full of flavour, freshly prepared Amin and Nash the two manager look after us and make sure we were serve and happy with everything....the parking us at the back 90 mins during the day and free after 5pm. Kushi is our local indian, whether it is a takeaway or a sit in meal the food is always the same, nash is always there to make sure we have what we need and nothing is ever a problem. He recommended the paneer shashlik and it was amazing thanks again guys for another amazing meal!

My son and I came today for a last minute meal, we have been many times before but I realise I only usually leave reviews when I have a bad experience in places. Today as ever, the food and service were exceptional. Nash was our waiter and made sure we were looked after throughout. It’s the best indian restaurant by far. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I stumbled across Kushi by accident — although I usually get it delivered and always turns up in perfect condition. They do absolutely delicious vegetarian/vegan food that is quite average priced. The Paneer dishes are absolutely brilliant.

Has to be the best Indian food place in our local area, if not in Essex! Been going here for years and has never failed to disappoint. The food is always excellent, freshly made and on point. Service is always great too!

After last time it was 2 hours late and cold, this time it was on time and hot, but not very nice, the chicken was chewy as anything.

Worst Kushi order ever Onion bhaji refried from the night before they were so dry. Worst ever. Samosa nice. Lamb chops dry, burnt and tough. £14 for that was disgusting. The other curries and rice was ok came a bit cold. Cheesy naan breads smaller than normal and cold when arrived. All in all not a good order.
