Called in today for a spot of lunch with the family on a day out to forbidden corner. We were fortunate to get a table, just had to wait a few minutes for it to be fully sanitised as a previous party had just left. The menu had plenty of variety and a wide selection of drinks. Red pepper soup was incredible, the sandwiches were amazing (my daughter said it was the best sandwich she had ever eaten!)We missed out on cake as we had to get off however they looked out of this world.Covid safe, clean and friendly.Really nice place, will call again next time we’re up that way.

Stopped in for a family lunch. Lucky to get and table as busy and can see why. I have delicious tomato and pepper soup with Wensleydale cheese crumbled on top. Children and husband all had jacket potato with cheese and beans which came with homemade coleslaw and nice salad. Chocolate cake and red velvet cake for dessert . Extremely good. The talking point has to be the strawberry milkshake in a welly boot glass!! Never seen that before and husband said it was very good. We will be visiting again

Overall delish, friendly and speedy service, very covid secure - clear screens between tables, track and trace, hand sanitizer, temperature checks!! (First place I've seen doing this) - very thorough indeed. Dog friendly too which is ace, not that we had one unfortunately!

Went for an afternoon tea. The portion was just right. Usually you get cake overload which spoils it for me. It was served in a picnic basket and the cheese scones were some of the best I’ve ever had. A little personal touch was with the reserved sign having my Christian name On which made it feel very welcoming. The three staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Disappointing visit, which we had booked over facebook for 2 people having afternoon tea. We rang ahead to say we were running slightly late as struggling to park and the lady who answered advised we weren’t even booked in!When we arrived (only 5 mins late) the table had been sorted but was busy. There was only one sultana scone left even though when I made the booking it was for afternoon tea. Only 4 small finger sandwiches to share between 2. A hair found in the ham sandwich. One cup and saucer was dirty (melted cheese stuck to the side) which was took away for a quick wipe then returned. Not enough plates to use for the sandwiches and cake.Didn’t feel very COVID friendly with the things that are not wiped down and re-used although there is Perspex separating each table. Not enough staff to cover a busy outdoor service so the indoor service was neglected. Tables left uncleared. The service could have been much better, even though it was busy it helps to be polite and friendly to customers. Overall it was a let down - it’s the first trip we have had out and this was a belated birthday afternoon tea booking for my friend (which I did state on my Facebook booking and still have those messages too)

Ordered afternoon tea for a treat out where do I start? Ran out of scones and cakes at 3pm TEATIME. Got 1/2 teapot of tea and had to ask for hot water, sandwiches were piled on dinner plate with cake....had to ask to be put on separate plates. Crockery chipped and scruffy old...not pleasant vintage. Presentation was appalling, staff chatty....behind the scenes too....customers can hear!! Definately a place that's trying to be something they are not.

This tearoom certainly has potential and entering it you are greeted with quirky 'Alice in Wonderland' themed decor and a variety of interesting tables and chairs. The food, particularly the sandwiches and jacket potatoes were good. However during our visit we noted a number of improvements that, as customers, we feel need to be made. Firstly the tearoom didn't feel particularly clean as our table was rather grubby and the apron of our waitress was smeared with chocolate and other food items. Service could have been so much better - our waitress looked quite disinterested throughout and never smiled once. Finally, a number of notices/signs around the tearoom had basic spelling errors. I know these observations might appear to be trivial, but to us as customers they are important and affected our impression and enjoyment of the place.

We came upon this wonderful tea room mid journey to the Lakes. When we entered we were delighted to see that all the decorations were related to Alice in Wonderland. We sat at a table near the window and browsed through the extensive menu and decided on a quick snack of a sausage sandwich and a toasted teacake followed by a pot of tea for two. The service was quick and polite and asked if we required anything else. As it was a quick break mid journey we did not have time to sample the beautiful cakes. The order arrived after a short period and the sausage sandwich was extremely good with local meaty sausages and lovely bread, the teacake was equally good. The tea was served in a large teapot with china cups and saucers and a milk jug. We did notice that they had a sign up saying they did not accept credit/debit cards and this sign was clearly visible but this was not a problem for us. There were plenty of tables in the café but most people were sat outside at tables as the weather was very hot. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food which was very good. The café was all on ground level and toilets were available and it looked as though it was suitable for the disabled. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop here again and try the cakes.

Been here a few times whilst in Leyburn and love the Alice in Wonderland theming it has. Cakes are always lovely as are the scones, breakfast buns and crumpets. Will definitely be calling back. Just make sure to take cash as there are no card payments.

The Queen of Hearts tea for two was lovely - fresh sandwiches, fabulous large cheese scones with Wensleydale chees and pickle and a choice of cake all presented on vintage china in a picnic basket. We couldn't eat the more than generous slice of cake so were kindly given boxes to take the rest home.

KTea’s tearoom did not disappoint, it’s a real tearoom with the best cakes, all a little different flavour wise. Specially teas and decent coffee, served by pleasant staff. Prices are fair so no reason not to give it a go.

Called here just for a cuppa, but were waylaid when we spotted the cakes and scones. I had the cream tea, lovely fluffy fruit scone with jam and cream - choice of whipped or clotted. Lovely china cups and saucers. Loved the Alice theme here, Great prices and lovely friendly staff.

Took an outside seat here to slake our thirst on a sunny afternoon. Ordered tea and a slice of granola. Huge teapot and bone china mismatched cups and saucers rapidly arrived with our slice of granola. Plenty of milk came with the tea too. Granola was excellent, not too sweet and packed with lots of fruits and seeds.

This café is really nice, all decorated as Alice in wonderland. The service is nice and the only bit could have been improved is the milkshake temperature (I was expecting something really cold). Beside that a nice place to relax.

Everything is quirky in this delightful tea shop. The cakes are delicious and there is a large selection of teas to chose from. Toasted tea cake comes with plenty of butter, which makes a nice change. When you visit, look for the mouse family (a painting - not real!!) on the skirting boards.

We called into KTea's whilst visiting Leyburn and it was about half an hour before closing. The staff were so friendly and unhurried despite our late arrival. The cafe is gorgeous! The decor is fab and the staff went out of their way to cater for our dietary choices. I wish I lived closer as I'd be there all the time!

This place initially looked inviting, so my husband and I walked in. One friendly waitress told us to take a seat and she would be with us shortly. We sat down, decided what we wanted and waited and waited and waited for the waitress to come over. Ten minutes later the waitress still hadn't come over, I tried to catch another waitresses attention but without any luck. Two minutes later two women walked in, they appeared to know the waitress and they all got chatting. By this time, having been waiting for about 13 minutes I was getting annoyed and suspected that the women would get served before us. The cafe wasn't particularly busy, so we got up and walked out in disgust.

This cafe is COVID safe with high levels of cleanliness and presentation. I purchased coffee and a scone, both delicious! The service was good from a very friendly and helpful lady. Seating is on benches outside with throws provided should it get cold. Overall an excellent experience!

We visited in October and was surprised to see how well the pub was doing with the COVID guidelines. Every table had high alcohol content hand sanitiser, all of the staff were wearing masks properly and cleaning tables and chairs very well. Toilets were spotless and the staff were obviously taking everything very seriously. Can’t fault the visit, was a nice change compared to pubs elsewhere where the guidelines aren’t being followed or aren’t being followed properly.
