Amazing. Absolute turkish cuisine experience in Leicester.

Food is always delicious and consistent every time we eat here! We were party of 8, food arrived together so we could all eat at the same time and each individual loved their selection of food including the children! Staff are very attentive, efficient and polite. A shout out to the young hijabi lady (wearing a headscarf) who attended to us yesterday evening - nothing was too much trouble and was extremely courteous. Thank you for a wonderful experience. See you again soon!

We were a large group, and service was great, food was tasty and quick, and everyone was happy. The restaurant was busy too, which made the experience so much better as we could have waited a long time potentially but didn't. Would recommend to and would visit again for sure

It is very nice to have such a place in the wild, but I think it should change and improve itself a little, it is a very crowded and noisy environment on busy days, it would be more attractive to eat in a decent environment...

Leicester's best! A warm welcome awaited us at the entrance and they welcomed us like guests. Turkish classics were playing inside and the decoration was made accordingly. I liked the atmosphere very much. Almost all of the employees were Turkish and they were all extremely sweet and friendly people. Meat doner may be the best I've ever eaten, I'm not exaggerating, it was that good. 10/10 in terms of price and performance, definitely try it and send our greetings from Turkey 👋🏻

Lovely place for Iftar. Gave us complimentary Turkish tea and complimentary desserts. Food is 10/10 & very filling large portions. Will definitely be coming back again.

We ask you to review the prices, special for two people, 40£ , no meat, 6 pieces of wings, three pieces of small chicken, and one shish kebab. It was my favorite restaurant, but unfortunately I was very shocked.

The meat is very tasty, and cooked on a charcoal heat. Good post gym supplement. It's all halal though, and very few caucasians are ever present in this restaurant.

Landed here accidentally while wanting to go somewhere else that just was closed. Waiting time without booking was 15 minutes’ team is really Nice. Ambience is attractive just like any Turkish restaurant. Starters & Main courses both were amazing. Sujuk with Haloumi grilled and pinned over bed of rockets was delight to taste buds. Chicken Beyti good portion size ‘ but the prize winner was Ali Nazik! Beautiful dish with the delicacy of Greek yogurt and under bed of Eggplant smoked mesh & Sizzling… U will love each bite and thank me later… Enjoy the end note with Morrocon Tea if u fancy 🙂

It was my second time to visit that restaurant after a long time. Quality of the food was better before, but I was not happy last time. Lahmacun was not good, it was like eating a rubber, and the amount of meat on it was very tiny amount. Turkish teas was not good at all, despite bakla was good.

Been coming here since moving to Leicestershire 8 years ago and have been here tonnes over this period. Never had a meal I felt let down by. Would always recommend people to come here for proper quality Turkish food.

First time in Leicester. Lucky to find Konak. Fabulous Turkish food. I particularly recommend the Falafel and Lahmacun,. Kind service from Reeja and her colleagues.

We had an incredible time! The service was prompt and the staff were so kind and helpful to us. The food was so savoury and tasty and they gave us so many complimentary treats alongside our meal. Overall, wonderful restaurant experience :) Would definitely return!

Visited Konak on Saturday night, I have been to quite a few Turkish restaurants around Leicester and this hands down was the best. The food was unbelievable. So fresh and flavourful. The service was amazing I felt very accommodated and at home. Such a wonderful experience.

The most disgusting experience. I booked a table for 3 for my birthday. I called up to confirm the time and they accused me of booking a table for 2... They then accused me of lying about the party number and said they never make mistakes and that it's my fault. How can I forget the number of people in my own family for my birthday? I don't think that's possible... They shouted on the phone and kept on repeating that I am wrong. I quote 'we get thousands of customers and never make a mistake, you made the mistake and now you want to lie and change the group.' Is that really what you say to a customer on their birthday in the hospitality department? They couldn't find any time other than 8:30 but wouldn't admit their mistake at all. I said 8:30 wasn't possible and is too late, considering it was their mistake, for which they took no responsibility. I have never experienced such disgusting customer service. They kept on talking over me. I simply asked if you made the mistake and I have to come an hour later for my birthday dinner, is there anything you can do to make up for it? He answered by saying 'im giving you a table when it's your mistake so...' When I asked the man to stop speaking over me, he refused to give me a table at 8:30PM and left me with no restaurant booked on a Saturday night on my birthday. Konak really needs to learn about accountability and customer service. If you don't know how to speak to your customers appropriately on the phone, perhaps you should consider learning how to. Thank you for having such a negative impact on my birthday.

Excellent restaurant, maybe one of the best Turkish restaurants in Leicester. No fuss, good food, great service, and even a complimentary first Turkish tea. We had one of the large mixed platters - more than enough to feed 4 of us.

After going to Istanbul to experience real turkish food I can confidently say Konak serves tastier food than ANY turkish restaurant I ate at during my 4 day stay in Istanbul. This place is authentic and serves hot bread for free (like tradition) and it is the best bread I've ever had anywhere, free with a selection of dips! Kebabs may seem overpriced but you will feel very full at the end and very satisfied. Complimentary Turkish tea and turkish delights are also very tasty. Favourite restaurant in leicester!

What a scam! Almost £20 for a kids sized meal. Maybe eating in the shop is different but their delivery service feels like I got robbed.

Save your money . I’m never going back , pathetic customer service , we were made to wait for 2 hours, people came after us and were given the table before us, literally ruined our mood and since we don’t like confrontation we did not even question it , the manager lacks basic decency that if someone is waiting in line , he/she should be given a table first , just because someone is a certain ‘ethnicity’ does not mean they take precedence over other people who were waiting before them. Food is overrated and overpriced, efes mangal is much better . The overall experience was horrendous and this was our last time .

Food was amazing and so delicious.

Ordered a rib eye steak. It was incredibly tough. Had no flavour and it tasted like the charcoal grill. The aftertaste is still in my mouth.

Our favourite restaurant. Reasonably priced and large portions. Lovely healthy food with great staff

Not the service I expected, unfortunately we received a single basket of bread to eat between 6 of us, and had to wait for the bread for 10minutes even though the dips were served and salad within minutes. I would never visit again, prices and portions are not worth the money. Definitely do not cater for kids, I wanted to complain as I left, but thought a review may be useful and hopefully change your service for the better.

I am changing my rating from five star to only two stars. I recently went and between three of us, we shared a feast platter. It cost us £65, so we were expecting at least enough food for four people. When the platter came out, our hearts collectively sank. It was only enough food for two people. Despite how delicious the food is, clearly we were ripped off.

I've visited here on a few previous occasions however, managed to take a picture and leave a review. We went on a busy evening and was seated in the waiting area to look at the menu whilst we waited for our table. The food was good as seen in the picture, the service was ok as the waiters were rushed off their feet as the restaurant was at full capacity. Overall, good evening.

Went by yesterday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the staff were super friendly and helped us every time we asked for help. The Halloumi Salad was particularly delicious and we had that come out first so did have a nibble along with the lovely breads - The food was lightly spiced and enjoyable. I’m more of a meat eater but the chicken wings were the most delicious on this occasion. The chips were lovely! Wish the asked us how the food was in the middle of dinner as no one came - we actually wanted more of our drinks but as we had water on the table didn’t want to make a scene. We did have to call for assistance but they were incredibly busy that evening. They managed to seat us within 20mins which we we’re grateful for. Would love to come again. Would be great if they had a larger option of drinks and mocktails seeing we we’re approaching festive season or for our celebrations. But all in all a pleasant experience.

We tried the restaurant tonight before going to De Montfort Hall and were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and service was prompt. We had a cold meze to start with and were brought a large salad as well with some additional dips and olives. The mains were very good as well. We were treated to a complementary Turkish Tea and baklava which was a nice touch. Would recommend this restaurant 😃.

First time trying the steak, and I went for Sirloin, which was simply amazing. Juicy, flavoursome, and a generous portion. (Served with mushroom sauce, chips & peppers) I also ordered my favourite, which is their lamb shawarma served with rice, which is hands down the best lamb shawarma in Leicester. Konaks hospitality is what keeps us going back. They generously serve fresh Turkish bread when you are seated as well as complimentary tea at the end of your meal. Thank you, Konak. I'll definitely be back.

I come here a lot to have Lamp soup (paca) and I have to say coming from London this place is not up to standard at all. We had 4 soups on the table, they gave us a couple baskets of bread which we finished. We then asked for two more which they gave without saying anything. At the end when we got our bill we found out they had charged us £3 for bread, when confronted they said we give one bread per person but hold on, we had 4 soups and only had 4 baskets of bread. They noticed their mistake and rectified the situation by removing the charge however, I found this so rude as no one mentioned anything at our table and on the menu there is nothing on bread so the price was just made up on the spot. I decided to come again as this is the only place in Leicester that sells paca or I would have gone somewhere else and the experience was even worse. I ordered 2 paca soups which usually come with garlic sauce, chilli sauce and some olives next to it ( that is what I have been given in the past and I’m regular) however this time they said if I wanted their small plates of meze I will have to pay for it. I will not be visiting your place again, as a fellow Turkish person I am disappointed in this restaurant and the staff. Reply to your response: I will not be coming again no worries, your reply shows me how inconsiderate you are to your customers. People who go I will tell them to get individual tables so that they can get one bread each. It’s so rude to argue about one basket of bread. Disgusting place, never coming again.

I had an awsome experience at this Turkish restaurant with a warm welcome as we arrived. We were a group of 6 and was attending a concert in Demontfort Hall. The Lamb Shawarma was filled with exquisite flavours. My mates, who had chicken shish and Yogurtlu Kebabs all enjoyed the meal. To our surprise, we were offered Turkish teas and some Baklavas. Definitely give it a go if you are up for a good Turkish food and atmosphere

Worst service ever, we didn’t order lamb beyti, because my girl doesn’t like lamb. She had chicken beyti and I had steak. We ordered prawn cocktails which was worst. Then the waiter said we ordered lamb beyti which he didn’t I asked him to take it off he forced me to take it. I will strongly recommend people to not go there unless you don’t have any options. Horrible experience, horrible service and food below average. I shared my experience with manager he was turned out to be useless as well.

Restaurant was super busy which is always a good sign but they managed to fit us in even though we didn’t have a reservation with no fuss. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced we would definitely recommend.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent dining experience I had at your restaurant on November 3, 2023. I had made a reservation to celebrate a friend's birthday with a group of five, and what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening turned into an emotionally distressing experience. Upon our arrival, we were informed that a table would be available at 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, due to traffic, two of our friends arrived slightly late, and we placed our food orders around 6:30 PM. We received our food promptly at 6:50 PM. However, at 7:00 PM, a person who identified themselves as the manager of the restaurant approached our table and informed us that we would need to vacate the table by 7:10 PM, as another party had been scheduled for the same table. We acknowledged the situation but requested a reasonable amount of time to finish our meals, as we were in the midst of our dinner. To our shock and dismay, we were pressured to leave the table by 7:10 PM. The manager's attitude and approach were incredibly aggressive and lacked empathy. One particularly distressing moment was when the manager suggested that if we couldn't finish our dinner in time, we should take it as a takeaway and finish it at home. This suggestion was not only insensitive but also inappropriate, especially considering we had a 2-year-old with us who was still eating. This entire experience left us feeling like our patronage was not valued and that the establishment prioritized maximizing profit over the comfort and satisfaction of its guests. The manager's words and actions were unacceptable, and we felt that we were treated with a complete lack of courtesy and professionalism. I believe that this situation could have been handled much differently and with more respect towards the guests. No customer should be subjected to such treatment in a restaurant. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this incident and take appropriate measures to ensure that future guests do not have to endure such distressing experiences. I hope that you will address the issue of poor management and the manager's inappropriate behavior promptly

Beautiful place to go and have a meal with family, an absolute Turkish cousin, Lahmacun, doner, lamb, etc recommended also order a kunafe as well to make a full course with a nice Turkish tea, Thank you guys it was a brilliant experience after a museum visit before heading to home👍
