Kingsfield Arms in Harrow

This is a review from the heart. I’ve been dining at the kingsfield arm from when it was taken over a few years ago. The proprietor and their team are always welcoming and attentive. During COVID-19 the owners have taken a cautious approach and have created a safe environment that I think goes beyond government guidelines. The food is brilliant, and is cooked with care. And they veggie and vegan options taste just as good as there non-veg options. Their nan bread is always light and fluffy. Their curries are well balanced. Basically everything I’ve eaten at the kingsfield arms has been delicious If you happen to be in Harrow and fancy a curry and a few drinks pop in. And their espresso martini hits the spot.

Ate here during the month of August for the Eat out to Help out. Greeted by friendly staff, and instantly felt in good hands due to the taking of our details for track and trace, our temperatures being taken and all staff in face masks with an enforced one way system. The staff were all very lovely and friendly and helpful, and the food delicious. Will definitely be returning.

What a find, our usual Indian restaurant has been taken over by new owners and has suffered since so we were on the lookout for a new place to eat. We stumbled upon The Kingsfield and what a find. The food is authentic, delicious and fresh. Service is great and they show sports on the TV. I was gutted when lockdown happened to our new discovery.... thank goodness they have opened for takeaway, the okra fries and delicious tikkas I have dreamt about are available again! See you on Saturday guys for takeaway. I can’t rave about this wonderful pub enough.

I was at the above restaurant last Saturday evening. It was heaving! Had a great meal and the staff are always so helpful and friendly. The food is always delicious and it is obviously extremely popular as it was so busy. Great to see a local venue so well liked.Long may it stay!!

l can't recommend the Kingsfield Arms highly enough. Food is fantastic but the real winner is the welcome from the wonderful staff. Great to see a relatively small menu which means everything is cooked to perfection. A 13 rowdy bunch were served without one complaint. Thank you to all the patient staff.

Four of us dined at The Kingsfield Arms last night.The place was heaving (which tells a story).Massive respect to Alicia and the staff, they are always very friendly and dealt with the mass of covers expertly.The freshly cooked food was delicious as usual.The best & buzziest restaurant in Harrow.

I go there regularly, food is home cooked and absolutely delicious. I go there regularly with my husband, friends and kids. Family friendly pub,catering for all. Garden for parties. Family owned, delightful landlord and landlady. Great atmosphere and just amazing. I would recommend to everyone. Great location too. Staff are great too. Prices are good too.

We love The Kingsfield Arms, the food is always plentiful and presented beautifully, it tastes as good as it looks. The service was excellent and the owner visited all the tables to check her guests were happy. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

We went for the first time to the Kingsfield Arms, it was on recommendation. It was just amazing! The food was delicious - everything we ordered was mind blowing from the masala chips, chicken wings, the chilli paneer (to die for) to the mains - highly recommend the Desi Lamb, and the naans were the best!The drinks were reasonably price, you can tell the owners take pride in not only serving delicious food but ensuring their beers are served crisp and clean!The staff were very attentive, they paid attention to detail ensuring our visit was comfortable even though it was extremely busy, and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak to the owner.We would highly recommend this place to everyone.We can’t was it until our next visit!

After being a regular customer, both for takeaway and eat in meals and recommending this pub to others, I will no longer be a customer.We booked a table for 2:00 on Sunday. We were the first to arrive and be seated. After watching those that arrived and were seated after us get their food, we waited nearly an hour, to get ours. We had ordered the similar food to the table next to us. When the owner came over to our table to ask if everything was ok, we gave feedback.We were fobbed off with: Food is coming out of the kitchen slowly. No apology was given. We were left wondering why then those that got in after us got their food before us, even after ordering the same food. It struck us that only positive feedback is taken on board....

The Kingsfield Arms is a really lovely pub, with a vast selection of ales and lagers. The service is excellent and the Indian food is absolutely brilliant!

I've lived round the corner from here for 7 years but only recently decided to try it out one evening. I've been many times since then. The food was great but we were particularly impressed by the service, especially given it is only a small pub - the owners were extremely helpful, polite and professional. Excellent place for a casual but great meal.

This is my preferred choice for a drink and food when watching live football with friends. I recommend the mixed Bhajia and Tandoori Platter. The staff are all very friendly and quick to help. The house Rioja is good.

Been here twice Staff very friendly and make you feel part of the pub. Service very good and attentive Food pretty good but not exciting. Would go again if in the area

Myself and my family had a brilliant meal at Kingsfield Arms. The food, drinks and service were all fab! Highly recommend the Chilli Paneer! :)

This was our first visit to this place, based on Tripadvisor reviews. The restuarant/pub is very cosy and set in a nice location. Food was tasty and cooked well. However, the service was average at best. Not only did we have to pour our own wine, on several occasions the staff brought items to our table not even sure if we'd ordered it. That side of things was a disappointment.

We live locally and have been told by many other locals that it is very good do decided to visit.

First off the staff (especially Alicia) are nice, friendly and helpful. Menus could do with cleaning, as they were very sticky which is another way of saying dirty.

I visited as a group of 8 friends on a Thursday evening; drinks in the outside area at the back of the pub, then a great table for a superb Indian dinner; food, drink, service, price all perfect.

Great pub atmosphere was good food was great would recommend the service was excellent and the staff very friendly

After hearing a lot of good things about the Kingsfield Arms my wife and I were very much looking forward to our visit. The good news is, they do get a couple of things right. Nice ambience and very good service.

What a fantastic restaurant nice modern decor great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff, the food is amazing! I love curries and this was one of the best I have for awhile. The homemade pickles that came with popadoms were superb

Thank you to my son for a fantastic lunch, best curry I've eaten for a very long time, the staff are absolutely superb and the manager made us feel so welcome and has a great sense of humour. Will definitely return, a great mixture of keeping the traditional pub atmosphere together with quality restaurant food, superb!

Been to the Kingsfield arms on several occasions for food and have been impressed on each occasion, great food and excellent staff

This is a great restaurant, the food is fresh, delicious and has your taste buds bouncing. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful which makes your experience even better. It’s clearly a family run place and it oozes warmth and comfort. My very favourite aspect is the vast selection of gin and to my delight they serve Pink Aromatic Fever Tree tonic. I also wanted to say the delivery service with UberEats is fabulous too, the food is delivered promptly and travels very well. A huge thank you to the Kingsfield Arms team You’re a great success, it’s fabulous to finally have a local restaurant like you.

This pub used to have a bad reputation as rough place to drink in. What an amazing turn around. Great beers / wines, fantastic home cooked food and run by a lovely landlady and her amazing staff.

I have een the the kingsfield arms several times for food and I have loved it every time! The food is delicious, the staff are really attentive and friendly. Would recommend this place if you are looking for a good curry! Will definitely be back!

Was there on a Friday evening. It took a very long time to order or receive anything. Drinks orders ended up not coming and had to be re-ordered. Staffing was fine, just that most of them were walking around with drinks trays and not able to take orders!

My husband took me to the Kingsfield Arms for an evening meal first time, wow best indian food ever. Must try their tandoori meat platter, mogo chips mmmmmm. That's where I meet friends for after work drinks and food. Service is great, staff are fantastic and the owners are a delight.

What a gem of a Traditional Pub Restaurant serving genuine Indian freshly cooked dishes. We had an amazing time celebrating 50th birthday celebrations with family. We must have had most of the dishes on the menu from all the starters and mains. All so fresh and flavoursome, the most authentic Indian taste and satisfying Indian dishes we have had for a long time.

Fantastic tasting and presented food. Shared the mixed grill starter, designed and Karachi chicken, saag also and tarka Dahl with boiled rice. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be back. Very busy, you're probably best booking first.

We haven’t had a curry out in a long while : the problem is my husband loves to cook curry and is dab hand at it having been taught by some buddies from South India many years ago. But I’d heard the Kingsfield Arms had a reputation for a good curry so we went along last night. Good selection of beers and ales on tap. We sat in a back room to avoid the quite loud music and this was perfect for us. We had Chilli Paneer (a favourite of mine and it didn’t disappoint ), Desi Chicken, Methi Lamb, Pulao Rice, Peshwari Naan and Kachumber (a delicious salad of cucumber, red onions, chilli and tomatoes). All the food was very good and the meat sauces tasted freshly made. The portion sizes were perfect -we finished everything but didn’t feel stuffed, just pleasantly full.I give this 4 stars but I’m comparing it with the only curry place to get 5 stars from us (The Regency Club in Edgware). Actually the meal was very tasty and we would definately go back to the Kingsfield Arms

We are new to the area and decided to try out the pub at the end of the road. We were really pleasantly surprised. A nice popular pub where all the food tables were unfortunately booked out, but they just managed to squeeze us in. The food was delicious as we have frequented the Regency before, but this was just as good and a welcome change. Also, the staff were very friendly and there was a nice ambience in the pub. Highly recommend!

Was planning on meeting a few pals and wanted to meet up somewhere central to reconciling from different parts. Remembered the pub from years ago as a classic old man's pub. No frills. Anyway, knew it had been done up and thought we'd give it a whirl. Delighted to find a great range of ales, very friendly bar staff and natives, oh and the food looked and smelt delicious.. Now it's back on my radar will not leave it so long until I return and will sample the grub next time.

Second time I've visited and I have got to say that this place gives regency a run for its money (Regency has been one of my favourite restaurants in this area for a very long time). Chicken wings were amazing, so was the paneer. Will definitely be visiting again. Service is also great - welcoming staff who are quick to assist when necessary.

We came to the Kingsfield Arms for an Indian meal on a Saturday night - and just before christmas so we expected it to be busy and we therefore booked ahead. Indeed it was hectic in the main bar but our table was in one of the back rooms where it was a lot quieter - it meant we were able to chat. :-)

I was last here 15 years ago and have always driven past it. Last visit was a memory of a fairly old and unimpressive pub. We were pleasantly surprised by both the revamped and warm interior of this pub and the friendly welcome from the owner.

I don’t often write reviews, however I was really pleased with the quality of the food and service at Kingsfield Arms. I went with my partner and we had not booked a table. The owners of the restaurant were very accommodating and despite being very busy, were able to seat us within 30 minutes. And we did not mind waiting as they had a bar area with seats. We were also unsure of which cider to get and were given a sample of a particular cider on tap to taste which I have never been offered before in a pub so that was nice of them. The food was of such a high standard, it was so tasty and I will be recommending this place to friends and family and will be returning here. I have never been to a pub which serves Indian food so this was a really nice surprise and the vegetarian options are really good.

We met some friends on a Saturday evening. The menu was interesting with some unusual dishes. All the curries could be ordered to a different heat to accommodate different tastes. Attentive waiting staff. Efficient service.

If you're going to modernise an old pub and give it a give it a food theme then make the food exceptional and make people want to come back. My recommendation is don't bother going in the first place unless you're content with mediocre.

12 of us dined in the Kingsfield Arms last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious with amazing fresh flavours. The sauces were light and the servings were generous. All tastes were catered for and nothing was too much troubled. The service was attentive and the staff were ever so friendly. The pub setting has been updated with a bright, clean modern feel. We will definitely be back.

Our 2nd visit in the last 2 months. A nice setting, good bar selection and excellent Indian Food. Good value too, we've enjoyed this place and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, we will be back.

Myself and about 14 work colleagues went last night for our Xmas in May evening as we couldn't all get together at Xmas time!

This Indian food is genuinely the best food I ever tasted! My family come here at least once and sometimes 2-3 times a week. The staff are really sweet and caring. Please book if you can, otherwise you probably will be disappointed.

First of all it’s a good pub with a secluded garden for some sunny al fresco dinning and drinking. The Indian menu is small and packs a punch in flavours. Arguably the best Indian restaurant in Harrow. Stylish Asian gastropub that has a fabulous menu in the heart of Harrow.

Been there twice now, food is excellent quality, service is great and very good value for money. And they sell real ale. Thoroughly recommended.

We've visited The Kingsfield Arms a few times over the past months and are always impressed with the food, which is also reasonably priced. Their curry has a great depth of flavour. We will be returning for sure.

Probably not low key, I’ve heard it’s quite popular but this pub is the best Indian food place I’ve been to so far.

Ate here last night and the food was delicious. Service was good and prices were very reasonable. One little negative, the football was on and there were a crowd of very loud and excitable footy fans there to watch it. Next time i'll check the footy fixtures!!

Both my wife and I have eaten at The Kingsfield Arms several times over the last three months. The group sizes have ranged from two people to eight people.

A large group of us went for a meal. We started at 7.00 with drinks followed by some fantastic food, very tasty and high quality in my view. I recommend the bindhi, even though I am not vegetarian, i would go back for this alone. The owner let us try out a new chilli prawn dish not on the menu yet, this was fantastic too.The Chicken wings and lamb tikka was excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and ideal to go with a group of friends or family, feels like a traditional pub with top Indian restaurant food.

This was a really great place to visit, it was like being in someones home, a really friendly place with a good atmosphere. The food was served quickly and tasted amazing, there was always a member off staff to deal with any other items/drink we needed which made a real difference to us. We are definitely going there again soon.

The food was cooked well but the portion sizes are small. 5 pieces of fish for £8.25 is disappointing. Can't fault the taste of the food or service.

Some collegues and I visited the Kingsfield Arms while visiting Harrow on business. First off, the atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Both take every measure to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed. The food is even better! We ordered a variety of appetizers and main courses to share at the table. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic! The chile naan is particularly good. The prices were very reasonable too. The Kingsfield Arms is definitely worth visiting while in the area.

From the out side it looks like just another small corner pub. Looks are deceiving.

Wow - what a find! Expectations were raised by an enticing aroma then more than satisfied by the fresh spicing and quality of ingredients. A beacon of culinary excellence in an unpromising locale. Keep up the good work!

Living locally we eat and drink here quite a bit. Fantastic transformation of what was originally a pretty dingey pub. Friendly staff, really really good homemade food (and the right size of menu), great for drinking and to also watch the sport. Highly recommended for anyone that doesn’t know the place.....!!

Ordinary pub with exceptional indian food. Very busy, probably need to book. It's does feel a little cramped but the food more than makes up for it.

I live near Kingsfield Arms and have been there a number of times over the years. A while back, they renovated and brought in an Indian chef. I was skeptical at first. Over the years they have tried to serve food and the best they managed was frozen pizza heated in a microwave.

Family friendly, food is decent - good to pop in after a Sunday stroll up the hill. Mixed grill is 👌🏼

Food was excellent and service was ok. The venue lacked atmosphere and the lighting was too bright for the evening. Not happy that the toilets opened up into restaurant area.

What an absolute gem this is. Although Harrow has its fair share of Indian food outlets there is nothing quite this. Food, service and setting are all first class. You must go!!

This pub serves some of the best indian food we have ever had (we ask for our food to be mild and it is still sufficiently spicy). The prices are reasonable and every dish we've tried has been exquisite. The setting is a delight, a chic interior with traditional elements. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and always welcome us with open arms. This place is truly a blessing to our town and we have recommended it to all of our friends!

Went here yesterday and was blown away by the most authentic cuisine. Food was super tasty with so much effort put into all the dishes. My favourite was the non veg mixed grill and Kuri kuri bindhi is a must! Service was top notch as well. The restaurant is cosy and relaxing.

Very polite and attentive service from several waitresses, refreshingly so. The food and it’s presentation were remarkable and unlike anything we’ve experienced of late, really quite special. Finally, the owner, who took time out to chat with us, was clearly and rightfully very proud of his cuisine. I guess that’s why it’s such a success - the personal touch. Very well done guys. We have had many evenings here and have always had fantastic service and simply the best Indian food!

I've have a sampled their food a couple of times now, both as a take away and also eating in. The food is the real plus of this pub - light, delicate tasting and doesn't leave you feeling too heavy afterwards!

Use this place regularly and have seen it go from strength to strength due to the hard work the owners Mandeep & Rav have lovingly put into their business, the selection of beers, lagers and wines are really good, and compliment the high quality food that they serve, the staff are all very efficient and knowledgeable about the drinks and food menu, and are always willing to help and recommend dishes.

We was recommended to this pub by friends to taste their food. It was truly amazing and by far the best indian in west london!!

We are regulars to the Kingsfield Arms but thought that we should try the food for the first time Saturday just gone. I must say it was absolutely beautiful. All the dishes we ordered were fresh and it was a delight to taste all of the different herbs and spices. The owners and staff were all very welcoming and helped us order the food we would like. Great atmosphere and music. It was great to be able to sit at the bar and have pre- dinner drinks before moving to a table .Once finished we moved back to the bar for a couple of drinks. This meant we had the experience of a bar and restaurant all in one ! Well done to all that work at the Kingsfield. We will most definitely eat there again. Its a must for you all to try !!!

This really is my new favourite place... A Super chilled pub, with the most refreshing hosts who actually care about the cause, welcoming staff and fantastic decor. Regenerated shockingly well and if I'm being honest I really wasn't ready for it to be as good as it is. Drinks selection is extensive, they have great music playlists to enjoy the tasty food with and they also have a cute beer garden at the back too.

Great little pub which just happens to serve up truly authentic, restaurant quality Indian food. Forget the pre-prepared stuff other pubs might offer as one item on a mixed menu - this is the real deal.

I went to the pub on a Saturday evening with my wife. The lagers and ale selection is good and the food was tasty.

We have watched this little place go from strength to strength over the last few months and it is no wonder why. The atmosphere is super friendly and the staff have been amazing on every visit we have made. The traditional Indian food is Devine and the BEST we have had in London and has kept us coming back for more over the last few months. Super fresh and made with passion. An excellent place to visit unwind and relax with super hosts and great friendly staff to serve awesome food. Can't wait to go back again soon.

This was our second visit to the Kingsfield for a meal, the first being on a sunny afternoon in June. This visit was early on Sunday evening. The food is just so good. My favourites are lamb chops and tilapia fish although everything we ate on both occasions was absolutely delicious. The menu has many vegetarian dishes as well. There is a lovely atmosphere and we were very well looked after on both occasions. We don't live in Harrow but we will be back to visit the Kingsfield again.

Veg biryani, channa masala and aloo methi all delicious. HOWEVER...the battered okra starter is on another level of amazing. Hats off and thanks to the chef. Lovely bar staff too.

We have staying in this area for quite sometime but earlier hardly visited it as the place was running down.... Ahhh... but recent new management & excellent renovation has added new soul to this place !

The food here is absolutely excellent and great value. It also happens to be a welcoming and high-quality pub. A perfect pint of real ale with a curry -- what's not to like? Staff and owners seem very dedicated to good food, drinks and service. My wife and I eat here at least once a week and we unreservedly recommend it. Also a family-friendly place.

The food in this restaurant is worth a trip! There is chicken desi on the bone, and lamb on the bone with authentic laccha paratha. The food is probably the best Indian in London as of this date. The staff is super friendly and helpful and is overall a lovely pub. But the Indian food makes this 7 stars.

We visited this goldmine once last week and found ourselves there a few days later with a group of friends, highly recommend amazing food, very passionate owners with the thrive to deliver great service and food.

Amazing food, amazing service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Me and my girlfriend have been here twice now and both times the food has been faultless. Freshly cooked and full of flavour. The service from the waiting staff is tentative and efficient. The decor including the plates, cutlery and the complete feel of the place is homely and clean. The outside area is enclosed and pretty with flowers and comfortable seating.

Pub has just been renovated to a very high standard and is run by a very enthusiastic couple quite passionate about their food and service. Second time I have eaten there and to sum up my experience in one word excellent and I will definitely be returning. Xx
