Coffee with family and friends amazing, definitely return.

This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and an extensive drinks menu.

They don't tell you this but you can and should order an Orange Margarita, absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful location, only let down is that there are no lifts.

Didn't book the resteraunt but we were able to get a table. Service was good but unfortunately for the price our meal was not good. One came out over cooked, I pointed this out and then they sent exactly the same out to my friend. The food seemed to be pre prepared, one of the starters was still semi frozen. These were knocked off the bill. Atmosphere was good for a drink with a wide selection of beers. Will call again for a drink but not food.

£22 for a dbbl disaronno and coke and a dbbl Spiced Rum and ginger. No wonder they've got such a lovely light up car park barrier. Total robbery. Don't bother. Over priced rubbish. Empty restaurant full of ' reserved ' tables so had to have our drinks with the rats in the alley behind.

Arrived on a wet, February day to be greeted by a pleasant lady who pointed to menus and asked me to pick them up and take them to our chosen table, which I did. We then waited and waited for some further acknowledgment which didn’t come. I therefore took our orders, went to the bar and ordered our food. My hubby opted for fish finger sandwich which he said was poor, my son had ragu lasagne which had large, chewy pieces of meat in it (he held one piece up to show us and it wasn’t good!) and I had a scotch egg with fries - mine was ok but the fries were just warm. £46 for three of us which wouldn’t have been bad if the food was good but, alas, that’s not the case.

Friendly staff with good service, food was very disappointing would not recommend eating in the hotel. Over priced as well no wonder the restaurant wasn't so busy compared to others in the town .

Avoid if you want quantity food had better in a supermarket cafe absolutely awful especially been Christmas Day Staff did not seem to care if you were unhappy . We’ve been going there Few years now but this takes the biscuit .my advise try other pubs and restaurants in the area value for money nil

My wife and I along with a couple of friends called on a quiet lunchtime. Our order was taken without any fuss even thought we were a little early. The service was exemplary and the food was very delicious. The menu has since changed and the liver is no longer on, a major disappointment.

Nice ambience. Friendly staff. Dog friendly which was great. I had mushroom on muffin which was well presented and delicious.

It’s very rare I leave a poor review as I’d rather find the best in any situation however I feel it would be unfair not to comment for the sake of others who may be wishing to book. Please avoid and go elsewhere. Food was awful and clearly much of it if not all was cooked from frozen and the staff really look as though they hate their job. Maybe we arrived on an off day however I won’t give them another opportunity as there is plenty of nice places nearby.

We had a good lunch ...ceasor salad & beef pie...but whilst adequate feel that you are paying for the location/ venue in lovely market square. Staff were smart and very presentable but you felt that you were not important to them. It's nice to feel wanted when paying these prices and little attention (self service almost) or conversation.

Visited for lunch on a sunny day towards the end of August and as a local, was disappointed in the standard of both the food and the service. The quality of the chips was horrendous, clearly bought in and undercooked could have done better myself with a frozen bag from Lidl! So disappointing. In addition to this the assistant manager (I think her name was Louise?) was quite abrupt when ordering at the bar and certainly not providing the ‘service with a smile’ you’d expect somewhere like this! The decking is lovely on a sunny day but such a shame that all the tables were dirty and we had to eat our lunch around somebody else’s dirty glasses that hadn’t been cleared! Such basic issues! Come on King’s Head, you can do better than that!!

We ate here with another couple and, as it was a lovely day, sat outside on the decking. The decking is actually at the front of the hotel so you are facing out onto the attractive Richmond town centre. The food arrived promptly, especially as it was quite busy, and it was delicious. Even my vegan friend enjoyed his meal. The price wasn’t too bad, either. There’s plenty of room inside for when the weather is poor.

Nice hotel. Dog friendly. Meals were pretty tasty. However, portions were very meagre. Small plates are very small but at around £8 are not great value. Main meals are pretty small too and around £18. You then have to buy veg / chips as sides. These are around £4. Not really good value. The atmosphere was lacking. On a weekend you’d have thought it would be busy. Perhaps pricing and portions have put off the locals. The staff were ok but not very attentive.

This hotel is in a really good setting by the market place. Parking is easy but just watch the timings. The rooms are nice, the staff are very helpful and excellent. The food was well cooked and the presentation very good.

We have been before and tonight's experience matches up. A lovely meal well cooked and presented. Good quality and quantity. This is a lovely setting on the Market Place in Richmond, there is plenty of parking in the Market Place and the entrance is flat. There are disabled toilets handy on the ground floor. The ambience is lovely and the staff are excellent.

Hearty British pub food - some of it with unusual twists (e.g. my lamb tikka pie - who would’ve dreamt of this?) This is a perfect destination for when the sun is out, after a nice day out in Richmond!

My wife and I along with a couple of friends called here during a not too busy lunchtime, only one other table being served food. The problems started when I went to the till to order and pay. On querying the amount to pay I was told that a 10% service charge was added as shown on the menu. There is no logic in being asked to pay a service charge before you have (or haven't) received any service. When I returned to the table it was on the menu in very small print at the bottom and it also said that there was an option to remove the service fee, which I wasn't informed of at the till. Whilst at the till I was given cutlery and napkins and informed I would receive a steak knife with the meal, the steak knife never appeared and I had to struggle on with an ordinary knife. We received two main courses and it was quite a while before the second two arrived meaning the first two were almost half way through their meal. The same happened again with the puddings only with a longer gap in between meaning the first two were actually finished when the second two arrived. Surely any chef should be able to plate up four meals all together. The young lady serving gave a half hearted apology before disappearing quickly. The sad fact was that the food itself was excellent, all four of us enjoying both courses. We have met up with friends here for a meal many times over the years and were astounded at how the level of service has dropped. Sadly we will not be returning here again any time soon.

Truly a top class hotel which takes you back to the Georgian days of Richmond. But if you're staying there do watch out for the ice cubes in the breakfast milk - very strange!

After an initial mix up with one of our meals....which was put right quickly, efficiently and politely.....we really enjoyed our food. The dining room is cosy, classy and comfortable with a friendly relaxed ambience. Happily the menu is not huge....good quality ingredients, well cooked.

We booked and ate here the week before Christmas. We werent told that the hotel had a private function , sadly the kitchen or the staff, perhaps both couldnt really cope. The food was nice but overall it was a disappointing and very forgettable

We had a lovely lunch, generous portions and lovely and fresh. The staff were all lovely and very attentive. Laura-jane makes the best malteser milk shake in the country. This place just feels so relaxed and happy. We're also a fan of their sister hotel the castle in Conwy. Highly recommend

Dependent on the time you arrive, service here can be slow, especially at around 11.00 am. Two coffees took 15 minutes to arrive & came without the three Maltesers normally given per customer. Had to remind the waitress! Very nice interior decor.

We stayed for two nights in Room 101 which is a deluxe room. We found the room small for a deluxe as the photos we had seen promised a seating area and more space. The bathroom door also didn't close and the shower was broken. However, this we can live with as the staff at The Kings Head are just fantastic. We ate 5 meals over two days here and absolutely everyone we encountered was working really hard and served us with good cheer and friendly smiles. Real Yorkshire service! Thank you to all of them for making our stay such a pleasant experience.

There was no wine list. The lad who came to serve us had no idea what wines were Italian or French or what was available.We got our starters after a very long wait, and two of the mains came after several reminders. Salads, which were the contents of a bag of leaves, a few heads of broccoli covered in harissa and a few dried chick peas. No dressing. We were asked if there was anything we would like and we said ‘some dressing or olive oil, our side orders and the third main’. We were told this salad was not designed to have any dressing. This was novel.Only then were we told there was no lamb (the third main). We were handed a menu and, quite reasonably we asked what was actually available. Reasonable, after the disappointments so far. This was taken as a hugely challenging request and we decided to cut our losses and wait for the side orders - one skinny chips and one fat chips.At this point we were told we would not have to pay for any of the food. When the chips came they were neither fat nor skinny. They needed salt and one of the party went to the bar to ask for some. The manager, Dionne Heslop, said she was about to ask us to leave because of our behaviour. We are three reasonable, middle aged, middle class people who work in the arts and eat out a lot, and know how to behave. And we expect restaurant staff to know how to behave too.We were charged the full price for the meal, including the food that we never saw. After two attempts we paid for the wine only. The staff were ungracious as well as incompetent. They do huge damage to the reputation of the chain. We had chosen the restaurant because if a very successful visit to a sister restaurant the previous day. The Kings Head is not in that league and needs to be sorted out.To add insult to injury the toilets were in a terrible state. Bins overflowing, filthy. In a pandemic this is not acceptable.

Good quality food provided quickly and efficiently by a successful team here.We had Fish & Chips and Chicken Caesar salad which were served on surprisingly large dinner plates so locals must be very pleased with the portions provided! Oversights in the salad content was quickly rectified V. good however had a sad minute when advised that the Black Sheep and the London Pride beers were out of stock.Good atmosphere and friendly service - will certainly return.

Good to see the COVID 19 rules are respected. We were given a nice window table and on ordering the food our drinks came. Tasty potato and jalapeño starter was followed by traditional fish and chips with mushy peas. Good lunch.

We had an evening meal last week and from start to finish it was underwhelming. We waiting more than 5 minutes to be seated. Waited 25 minutes for a drink to arrive. Had to ask 3 times for water to be brought to the table. Saw the waiter carry food to the wrong table three times in ten minutes.I had the sea bream which was pan seared to within an inch of it's life, it was so tough it was inedible. Hugely disappointing when you could cook a nicer meal yourself at home.The chairs were frayed and tired, ambience lack lustre. A real disappointment from start to finish.

Great location, nice food, service was spot on, 2 out of our 3 meals arrived and the staff quickly realised we were waiting for a meal without the need for us to say anything, we all enjoyed our meals, good size portions, tasty food and a lovely bottle of rose!

Visited yesterday for lunch. It was very poor. Aesthetically pleasing premises but don’t be fooled. Understaffed. Waited 45 minutes for what turned out to be a beige lunch. Chicken and stuffing baguette for £9 had 3 small slices of prepacked chicken and 4 teaspoon size bits of dried up stuffing in it. The chunky chips were just ‘off white’ and hard in places. No golden crispness here! Had obviously been kept warm under the lights so was very dry - the gravy was essential if you wanted to keep the roof of your mouth intact. The 3 for £12 ‘sharing’ snacks are certainly not for sharing unless you have the appetite of a small mouse. Sadly very poor. Any decent chef would not send any of the food we had out of the kitchen.

We ate here for lunch and were disappointed, as in the past we’d had a lovely meal. I had the pie and it was just ok, nothing special as expected for£15.00! My husband had the dirty burger and again it was average. Staff were very friendly, service was good. Would return for drinks only.

Afternoon tea for 4...... covid restrictions in place and plenty of sanitiser available, so we all felt pretty safe. The ambiance is lovely and the place is clean and well kept. Tea/coffee served a good 5mins before the food which was disappointing as it was like warm when we got out food. The food on a whole was nice but I’ve had much better afternoon tea for less money. Service was good and attentive....would I go back ?? Not unless we either had a voucher or the price was lowered to reflect the offerings available with afternoon tea.

We were staying for two nights at the Hotel, with friends and decided to eat out on the first night and eat in the Hotel on the second. Glad we did, as it was a foul night and none of us fancied going out. The meal was good, as was the service, by the excellent waiting staff. There was a bit of an issue with the mange tout on the lamb dish, but this was rectified quickly and to be fair, the kitchen staff would not have realised that this vegetable was 'stringy' by looking at it!

Stayed Saturday and Sunday and as with previous stays we enjoyed it. The hotel has adapted well to the social distancing requirements despite being very busy.I would have scored 5 out of 5 but felt the breakfast wasn't as good as previous stays. You have to ask for everything now as nothing is available on a help yourself basis. To be fair not really the hotels fault.Will we stay again - yes without question

We stayed 4th til 6th September. We stayed in room 310 which is really clean have to climb a few stairs to get to room. This room overlooks a main street and was quiet noisy at closing time from local pubs. The food looked amazing we didn't get a chance to try the food as we ate at the French restaurant and the local Indian which were both outstanding. The staff are so helpful and friendly taking time to offer you local advice to help you plan your days activities. The local market was on Saturday just step out this hotel and you are in the centre ideal location for everything. We did a 3 hour walk up near the swales River came back to sit outside the Kings Head for a vino.Will definitely return staff amazing hard working rooms immaculate fantastic location. Well done for this lovely weekend break Deborah and Tony reeve. My star of the weekend is the Young lad who never stops on the bar and outside gave us dome fab advice where to go and eat. He never stops .

I would describe dining here as an experience. The food was passable just the service condescending and rather passive aggressive. I must say that I will struggle to look myself in the eye over my decision to eat here.It’s a shame obviously a lot of effort has been put into the decore, a pity that management didn’t back it up with some training.

Great for stopping and people watching over a coffee, or the rather nice special gin menu. Bar is very good (no standing ), food is decent and well cooked though the menu is a bit limited at the moment. Friendly and helpful staff, can be all contactless if you choose.

Stayed for a week with family, and what a stay we had ,the staff couldn't have been more welcoming nothing was to much trouble to many staff to mention but young David was exceptional. We stayed in rooms 302 and 306 both at the back of hotel so was really quiet both rooms had hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a much needed fan as the rooms are very warm. The food was reasonably priced and excellent. Free WiFi. There is no lift in the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying again.

This hotel is in a good location. The rooms are nice and spacious bathroom are on the small side but are modern . Room was very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Meal was excellent. Desserts could do with being more varied. Portions good size. Drinks expensive. !

Our experience of the restaurant was far superior to our experience of staying in the hotel. Dinner was pricier than other establishments around but the food was creatively presented and of high quality. Commendably more a restaurant feel to it than just pub grub. The two young gentlemen servers worked hard and were enthusiastic and interested in their customers. Definitely top marks to chef and waiting staff. Thoughtful interpretation of Covid precautions gave reassurance without removing from an enjoyable dinner experience.

Excellent hotel in the very heart of Richmond. Free car parking at the rear. Impressive rooms and en-suites. Genuine friendly and efficient, well trained staff and very comfortable nicely decorated and spotlessly clean bar, lounge and restaurant. Can be a bit pricey but there are usually special offers available. Well recommended.

Opted for the Kings Head for our Sunday lunch when visiting Richmond as we liked the look of the interior. Not the cheapest for a Sunday lunch (£14) but the food was lovely and the restaurant was a nice place to dine. I had a half roast chicken and husband had the pork as there was only one chicken left. Both meals were very good and staff were very attentive. After lunch we moved through to a separate comfy sitting area where I had a lovely baileys coffee.

We took advantage of the lazy Sunday deal via the coaching inns website. The stay was faultless, clean spacious room, outstanding three course meal and breakfast the next morning. Well worth the money and we will definitely be returning.

Hi, visiting Richmond and was looking for somewhere nice for lunch, very impressive surroundings and lots of lovely areas to sit , it’s one of those traditional hotels with a lovely atmosphere.From walking in you are made very welcome , staff are chatty and helpful, shown to a table and given two menus, light lunches and meals and what a great choice !! Ordered out food at the bar and wasn’t a long wait , food was well presented, service was great, very reasonably priced and would definitely go back .

We booked this two night break directly with the hotel. Our room was nicely decorated, very clean and of a reasonable size for a Classic Room. The hotel is definitely 'dog friendly.' He was made to feel very welcome by all members of staff and there were a number of dog friendly dining areas with water bowls. We ate at the hotel on both evenings. The food was tasty and well presented. Breakfasts were enjoyable too with fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and a cooked breakfast menu using quality ingredients. The staff couldn't do enough for us and genuinely seemed interested in ensuring that we had a memorable stay. A couple of negatives :parking was a problem, particularly at weekends and many rooms are on the second floor (no lift) so may not be suitable for everyone however, the staff were more than happy to carry bags to our room and we knew these minor problems before we booked. We had a really enjoyable stay and would certainly return.

Very old historic hotel, nicely refurbished. Very central location, perfect for exploring town and locality. Rooms very large, and despite overlooking market square were very quiet helped by double glazing and heavy curtains. Limited parking in courtyard at back, but parking very easy, with permit from hotel, in Market Square next to hotel. Dinner was quite 'pubby', very generous portions & seemed everyone had a large Yorkshire pudding. Breakfast was really excellent, served very quickly and very good choice. Staff cheerful and helpful, couldn't complain.

We’ve been to the Kings head a few times and it has always been nice but yesterday we called for lunch at 13:10 and asked for a table for 2. The pleasant bar man was just saying that there was a wedding on and there was a slight wait when his manager (I presume) stepped and said there wasn’t any delay. We sat down and waited 15mins for a menu. After ordering a sandwich and pie of the day we waited for 1hr &20 mins asking a few times where our meals were just to be continually told it’s on its way. Every table around us were all complaining for the unacceptable delays. At 14:45 our food turned up. On putting my knife into the crust I basically fell into the pie. On opening it up it appeared to be just crust with a spoonful of gravy at the bottom. Both the waiter and manager looked horrified and took it away after 10 mins he came back and said they would do another one . We had only booked 2 hrs in the car park and out time was up and I’d still not had anything to eat. After complaining the waiter said he wouldn’t charge me for the pie (like that was ever going to be an option) after showing I wasn’t happy with this abysmal service they said they would take 50% off the price of the sandwich. Our visit to Richmond was ruined by this establishment just making us wait for 2 hrs to walk away still not eaten. On going somewhere else some of the locals told us the place has really gone down in the past few months with never enough staff. Heard lots of complaints since about the endless waiting. It is a shame but I wouldn’t go back here again unless the management is changed for someone who can do the job!ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!!

Waited thirty minutes for three cocktails. Asked twice, but they still didn’t arrive. When we got annoyed and went to the bar to complain the manager (Louise) was extremely rude to us. We were sat, all genuinely stunned at her behaviour and lack of any customer service skills, when our drinks arrived. They weren’t full, served in coffee cups and had no Prosecco shot! At £8.50 a drink there was no way we were accepting them. By this time it was getting late and we were just wishing we’d never gone in. Thankfully a gentleman called Louis saved the situation becoming any more unpleasant than it already was, he apologised, sorted the drinks out for us, and explained the bar staff were in training. The manager just went back behind the bar and glared at us for the next half an hour. We couldn’t wait to get away! I hate giving a local establishment such a bad review, but it was the attitude of the manager that really let the Kings Head down. Non of us have been back since.

Beautiful coffee as usual BUT everyone around us got Maltesers. We come in regularly and today felt that we were being excluded. People that came in after us all got Maltesers.

I have just returned from a couple of days in Richmond, staying at the Kings Head with a friend. We found the hotel lovely, especially the staff who were all very friendly and helpful.

Staff including manager unhelpful l and rude. World cycling comes to Richmond and kingshead could not offer wheelchair access to disabled visitors

We stayed a couple of nights in this Georgian Hotel- quiet room at the rear- just be careful of the little step along the corridor to Room 211! Lucky to get a car parking space so used the local buses to get around. Friendly and helpful staff , excellent breakfast (except for the crispy bacon), no complaints.

We had an evening meal here not too long ago and enjoyed it so decided to go for afternoon tea.

We were booked in to the restaurant for dinner on Bank Hpliday Saturday. There was also a wedding on. Wedding guests and non-guests were all vying for the bar and we got the distinct impression there were no additional staff to cope with the increased custom. The staff were great and very helpful but the service was slow and problematic. Two of us had our dinners delivered, removed, put back again, told not to eat it whilst they checked if it was for us or another table. The lady at the next table was in fits of laughter at the performance. One of the drinks ordered in the second round never came, neither did the asked for dessert menus, so in the end we stopped another waiter for the bill then went to the bar to settle it ourselves. The food was excellent, although a request to serve the hake without the lardons, was ignored. Luckily it wasn't a necessity.

Treated ourselves on the last night of our holiday. Food was excellent. Very popular hotel - especially when the sun was out and people could sit outside. Only comment was that one you man was left to serve several people in the queue while others ignored the customers for some time before eventually getting behind the bar too.

We visited Richmond with friends today and had booked a table at another restaurant but wanted to eat earlier and they couldn't accommodate us so we cancelled our booking and went to the Kings Head instead and were so glad we did. The atmosphere and furnishings were excellent. The staff, especially Luis, were attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent and plenty if it and very reasonable. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch and the roast pork Sunday lunch. Couldn't fault it and will go back. Highly recommend it.

Had a lovely meal here back in June so looking forward to enjoying another bite. Popped in early for a drink in lounge bar very friendly staff , very nice atmosphere great. Came back the next day about 3.30 for a meal, told we could sit where we liked, and that was it. Sat in the main dining room which had two other tables with people sitting eating or having a drink, waited 15 minutes for some service, no offers for drinks , laying the table ,menu, nothing. Got up and walked out. It was not busy, so disappointed with this experience as we had come back knowing how good the previous visit was. Will I come back? sorry but no.

We were in Richmond and fancied something to eat, as it was getting on for 830pm we chose the Kings Head as they serve food until 9pm.

From the out side looks ok, going in seemed good throughout, service ok. Team seemed confused but all put great effort in. The two has been given from the value of the business. For the food that we had the price was very extreme, taste was ok at best, presentation good. Feel business like this would have better longevity with a fair price for what they deliver

Stayed Wednesday 7th August in a standard double (£85 for 2 guests including breakfast). Room not the most spacious but well appointed with very comfortable bed and immaculate en-suite shower facilities. This is the second time I've stayed here and I'm pleased to report this hotel is maintaining its very high standards of guest comfort and service. The cooked breakfast is as good as you'll get anywhere with very good quality ingredients, expertly cooked, presented and served.

Not one to usually leave a bad review. But £4.50 for three mozzarella dipper. Chips the same. Not homemade. £6 for kids Mac n cheese. Again clearly out of a tin. I don’t mind where it comes from. I mind paying top price for reheated food. Shocking.

My daughter and I each had a different choice both were excellent and the white table cloth made us feel special,the staff couldn’t be more helpful also Laura Jane the evening before .Thank You

Passing by one afternoon so went in for quick drink. Big mistake...stood around for ages and when finally got served the staff serving did not seem interested and spoke to each other rather than customers. Very expensive bar bill for 2 drinks, will not return.

Went for evening meal and this was very good and of high quality for a reasonable price. Friendly helpful staff and nice atmosphere

My family popped into the Kings Head for a coffee and snack, there were 11 of us. To describe the person taking our order at the till as surly would be kind, rude and unhelpful may be more accurate. I was told that due to the size of the hot drinks order (4 coffees, and 3 teas) it may take up to 10 mins for the order to arrive, which was fine. I then asked for one take away coffee, the person I spoke to was again rude and unhelpful. My parents are local to Richmond, born and bred, and regularly attend the Kings Head, but after this visit, they will not be visiting again. If it was one member of staff, I could have accepted the behaviour, but it was three individuals who individually showed no grace, warmth, humour, or basic customer service skills. I ordered a scone which arrived, microwave hot, the person serving us just said “scone”, nothing else was said at all. I desperately want Richmond to develop and be a welcoming place, but after the visit to the Kings Head, I despair.

Booked to eat here at 7:30PM as the previous night we were advised although there were empty tables there would be a 40-50 minute wait for food so we went elsewhere. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We ordered 3 starters for £12 to share which were really tasty. The main course steak was perfectly cooked. I disliked the bean burger and felt like I was eating a pile of mush but that was just personal taste and other people may like it, however at £13 thought it a little expensive.

Whilst a recent visit to Richmond with a friend , we decided to stop for lunch at this establishment. We had a dog with us and saw that it was dog friendly and thought brilliant. We managed to get a seat in the out side decking areas. After searching around for a menu we eventually found one inside. I the proceeded to order 2 sandwiches a portion of chips and 2 soda waters this cost over £21.00 so I expected it to be good. Sadly I was wrong, the sandwiches arrived and looked fine until you touched the bread. they had obviously been sat under the hot light for some time (we were waiting 30 minutes) as the bread was hard and toasted. the underneath side was fine and as it should have been, the chips were cold and rubbery. Whilst waiting we heard a few people complaining about the wait for things such as coffee. Now I do not mind waiting if the food is of a good standard but sadly we would have been better off in Gregs. We watch an elderly lady on her own with a dog take a seat she asked the girl clearing the tables if there was a menu. The girl told her that the menu was inside (how rude) to be honest it would have taken her 2 seconds to get one for her. The lady then said she had a dog and the girl said that it was a dog friendly establishment and no one would mind her walking in and getting a menu. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT. The lady looked very embarrassed and left. It would be a good idea to have a waitress service outside in the summer months and even better to serve HOT food that is edible (even the dog turned his nose up at the chips)

ate here before and couldn't fault so tried B&B; staff where excellent polite helpful the chap with the glasses lovely customer service lovely comfortable bed breakfast top notch good start for the day will come back !! many thanks once again

We popped in here with my little children and our dog for a hot drink after a busy day. Dogs are allowed in the lounge and bar area which was really helpful. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, even offering my toddler a free babychino.

We visited last night (Saturday 22nd) for our date night. As usual the service was fantastic, Deyna and Laura Jayne were brilliant looking after us throughout the night. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the Yorkshire mixed grill was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The Eton Mess Sundae was the perfect ending to a lovely meal. If your ever in Richmond or the surrounding areas please visit you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed here with my partner and friends for a friends' 50th birthday celebrations. Warmly welcomed when we arrived and my friend received a complimentary upgrade.

Food was really nice & the cocktails were lovely. Great service, only downfall was the server forgot to put my friends food order through so we all got our food & the chef's then had to make hers through no fault of there own. Either way will still go back.

Booked well in advance for a 65th Birthday celebration meal knowing it was also Fathers Day. 6 adults & 2 small children. The menu had been changed from the regular Sunday offering despite reassurances that it would be the same when booked. We were eventually offered the full menu to choose from. Service was slow and disjointed. Around 5 minutes between first starters and the last of them to be delivered to the table. Part of the kids food was also brought out with the starters and had to be sent back. On finishing the starters at least a 45 minute wait for the mains to arrive. Again an age between the first plate and the last getting to the table with one meal being completely forgotten about. One small dish of veg between 5 main meals. None of the food particularly hot when we did finally get it. The one waitress who did seem to know what she was doing was nice but fighting a losing battle with all that was going on around her. We had to ask for the Duty Manager to come to our table rather than him taking the time out of whatever else was more important than looking after paying guests so we could speak with him. He seemed rather unwilling to apologise for the ‘lost’ meal and when the word sorry did finally creep out of his mouth it was the most insincere uttering I’d ever heard.

Visited with a group of friends for an evening meal, we ordered starters which turned up fairly quickly.
