King du Noodle Bar in Harlow

Always enjoy our meal when eating out at King Du, the service is quick and polite, great selection on the menu, and food always tastes delicious, plus the portions are very generous and reasonably priced. One of our favourites

Second time we have had a takeaway from here sadly will be the last. Prawn toast that was deep fried absorbing the oil like a sponge medium sliced instead of thick doorstep surely is no brainer. The rest of the meal was sub par and could definitely of been hotter although this could of been down to the delay caused by cutting through the cling film.

I've visited this restaurant 3 times now due to business trips away from home. Chinese restaurants are very hit and miss in the UK but this place for me is definitely a hit. The quality of meals and friendly service I've received have been beyond what I was expecting on all visits. The ambience of the restaurant is also very relaxed and unpretentious. All I can say is "try it" and make up your own mind. I'm back in the area tonight and really look forward to my meal later this evening!

Great staff and a big menu full of lots of options. We booked in advance this evening, they were expecting us and held our table despite us being slightly later than planned. Food was very good, salt and pepper quid was just cooked and was crispy and delicious. Really visible and attendant staff who were always available if we needed them.

Had a quick pre cinema dinner and it was tasty. The place is comfortable but not somewhere I’d like to spend too long at and the price was very reasonable.

This Chinese was the worst one we have ever eaten. The rice was tasteless, The crispy duck was soggy and fatty, the prawn and chicken balls were just doughy. The chicken was hard and burnt, This was a large order and came to £100, yet all of it was inedible. Will never eat from here again! IT DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR!!

The menu is vast which makes it difficult to order because you want so many dishes. Food is cooked as and when ordered and literally takes minutes to arrive. Always had tasty food and the noodles dishes are huge! Keep it up!

One of the best restaurants in Harlow in my opinion. The food is consistent therefore I will continue to visit here regularly.

During the government scheme, eat out to help out, me and my friend went to king du for a meal. We arrived there around 4.30pm and it was getting busy and we were very happy to see they did abide by government guidelines, but we were so wrong. By 5.30pm the restaurant was almost full and there people continuously flocking in. There was no distancing between tables and all the while I could see this man, who clearly had some authority, kept letting people in and totally ignoring the rules of social distancing. Within 20mins all the tables in the restaurant were occupied and the area where we was packed to the point that the poor waitress had to squeeze herself between tables to take orders. We were disgusted at how they totally put peoples lives at risk. With this point put aside I was very disappoint with the food. It was inedible. I ordered a pork bao bun and it tasted utterly vile - one bite was just enough for me. the sauce did not go with the rest of the pork bao. furthermore my friend ordered a malaysian fried rice without pork and all we got was a few shreds of chicken and 4 shrimp, which we counted clearly this is not good value for money. Overall our dining experience at king du was awful

Everything I said in my last review I stand by but this time the food was delicious. The noodles were perfect and the service was faultless. Overall the meal was excellent value for the money.

I like this place, its often lively and not the place for quiet meal for two but for a tasty meal for two then it’s perfect.. i have been as part of a larger group sitting on a large bench style table and as 1 of 2 and the food is great quality, fair prices and the service is good. The only down side for me is the location if your driving having to park and walk through the precinct but i would say its worth it.

Managed to get in on a very busy evening and as usual, was not disappointed. Quick service with food at the table with a minimum wait. Huge portions and excellent flavours and choices.

I had vegetables noodles and both straight tofu (pepper and salt) and tofu based on a beans sauce (I think). Everything was perfect from service to food. Prices are inexpensive. Highly recommended if you are in Harlow town centre.

It was empty when we entered the restaurant. The waitress welcomed us warmly and explained our questions about the menu very well. She did mention that the portion size is big. And it is BIG, there are about 9-10 king prawns in the dish at the price below tenner. The dish comes with fresh mint and coriander, which is a big plus for my wife. I ordered Singapore noodle which is different to other restaurants (dry, curry flavours) . This one is moisture with a bit sweetish taste which I like more.The total cost is 28 pounds for 4 adults, really value for money

Quick service and freshly prepped Asian cuisine which the whole family enjoyed. Salt and pepper squid and beef in black bean particularly good, generous portions and Chicken and beef pho went down well

what a shock to find chicken in my vegetarian dish, i took back to the kitchen as they ignored me at my table. they didn't say anything just took my plate and said sit. i wasn't being treated like this so we all left with out payment. then the manager found his voice and became very rude to us.

A lot has changed since we last visited. The menu is different, there are no meals choices any more. You have to order everything separately to create your meal instead, like at a takeaway. This means the prices have gone up and there is less choice. There is a set menu you can choose from but everyone in your group has to be ordering from it, or nobody in the group is allowed. Very bizarre. Also, if you choose the set menu you're not allowed to have a doggy bag for your leftovers.The benches are hard and not comfortable to sit on, I had back ache by the time we had finished eating and couldn't wait to leave. We had 3 members of staff watching us eat which I found quite off putting. I dislike the way the food was brought out to us, it took about 10 minutes for our group of 5 to get everything we ordered. Everything is bought out in seperate bowls and you have only a small plate to pile it on to. Another complaint is that they don't bring the dishes out on trays and every dish was handled in such a way that ended up with a waiters thumb on the inside of the dish. I know it's petty of me but I don't think this is hygienic and I personally hate it. The only people who should touch my food in a restaurant are me and the chef. This place used to be buzzing on a Saturday night but the empty tables when we were there spoke volumes. I'm pretty sure we'll be choosing somewhere else for our next girls night out.

Me and my friend had gone to dinner here and it took over 35 minutes for us to get seen so we could order our food and then it took an extra hour for us to get our food and drink and when they had brought out food out they had then forgot our drinks and said we hadnt ordered any and we had said what drinks we ordered and proced to take 20 minutes just to check if we had ordered drinks or not and bring them out to us I will not be coming here again very disappointed and disgusted with how we was treated and spoken to..

Nice owners, good portion size, tasty and Value For Money. We had a takeaway, prawn noodles, prawns with garlic & ginger and a chicken dish. No MSG!

The staff were very welcoming, and very police and cheerful. The food was fantastic and plenty of it., I would highly recommend this restaurant, for a good family night out

We recently had lunch at the newly re-opened King Du. The food was excellent and service to match. They serve mainly Vietnamese dishes, and it's easy to choose a varied meal from the clearly laid out menu.

Cold stone food, cheap value and half the products had run out. Last time I go there, the food is basically frozen food that gets heated up

I had lunch with two friends and four toddler/babies. The kids portions are massive, they are friendly to the children and understanding of the complete mess we made. Highly recommend the food it is absolutely delicious. Planning to return with my husband to properly appreciate it!

We visited for an impromptu birthday celebration and as always the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We’ve been eating here for many years and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal! The food is delicious and always freshly cooked to order. Try the salt and pepper squid - it’s to die for

I've been a customer of King Du for some time and it has always been good, I've never left disappointed. Honestly it is one of the best places to eat in Harlow, they do takeaway too (though you have to pick it up yourself from the restaurant), usually ready to pick up within 15 minutes! The prices are very reasonable for what you get, portion size is huge and the quality is outstanding.

Arrived today at 11.30 as they opened and had our food by 11.45. Staff were lovely as always and couldn’t do enough for us. Best food in Harlow and honestly couldn’t fault it.

i was invited out to this place witch in the middle of harlow town witch with the drunks and dodgey looking pepple milling round look like a war zone not a good start .we went in and showed to benchs to sit on, place was tatty food was bland and it seemed to me if you are happy to stuff your face with this mish mash of stuff coverd in crums batter and god knows and is dry and tasteless ,this is the place for you..waste of money uncomfortable and tatty .dont wase your mony......

When I first moved to Harlow a few years back, every time I asked for a recommendation for somewhere to eat out or for a good takeaway, I was always recommended King Du. The food is really good, huge portions, reasonably priced when eating in but can work out quite expensive as a takeaway. The kids menu is a tad limited but my little ones love the sweet bbq teriyaki chicken (so do the adults!). The staff are attentive and the chef is always happy to add/remove an ingredient from your meal if it’s something you’re not keen on. The bubble tea is also delicious!

King Du is a regular for me and my boyfriend. There is a variety of dishes and the noodles are great. I really enjoy the family friendly shabby-chic decor, I really makes you feel at home. I only wish they would widen the menu, I really enjoy the tofu noodles but they don’t have many veggie starters. I would recommend trying the bubble tea with flavoured pobbles - addictive!

Good food, decent sized portions, huge "children's" servings. Lovely staff and the food came quickly and was piping hot! Parking is a little awkward as there's no dedicated parking space. All in all a good afternoon.

What can i say the food here is well nice. The plate.s are nice size. One of my favourite Chinese food places around. Friendly staff nice and clean and didnt wait to long for the food to come

Fabulous food, can take away. restuarant really busy. However it is a little cramped and the chairs are not very comfortable. But food and service wise an excellent place .large portions cooked to order. Average price well worth a visit

I have visited many times and love the food. It’s friendly and fast for restaurant. I had one complaint once and they dealt with that speedily and took the item off the bill which was very acceptable. However I would still recommend for value for money and tasty food. They don’t bring things up all together so if you order a few dishes then you will get several trips to your table.

The food in king do is average. The seating is very uncomfortable. Wooden benches, that after a while become too hard to sit comfortably. The tables are long, so In a group it’s hard to have conversations with everyone as they will be too far away. They are quite willing to cater for large parties but you may not all be on one table. Opposite weatherspoons, where the alcohol is much cheaper.

First visit for me, for a get together with family and friends. Very friendly and clean. Food was lovely, but didn't like drinking out of bottles of coke, admittedly I didn't ask for a glass so this could of been provided

This is a very busy restaurant. Visited on recommendation. Turnover of customers must be phenomena.always a queue to be seated and takeout. Also many take out delivery people in and out all the time. Staff very pleasant. Meals tasted wonderful and really big portions of everything. Some people were taking what they couldn't eat home in a takeout box. Chairs I felt were a bit uncomfortable and not a lot of room between the tables. They really could do with larger premises. However the meal was served hot and freshly cooked and was very enjoyable

All us girls in family regularly visit this restaurant as the food is delicious. Some a bit spicy for me but it is great ordering things that you have never tried before and it’s very reasonably priced. Will be back soon

Went with my wife 2 grown up sons and 2 friends last name night. Must have been at least 50 times before since the boys were young and it never disappoints. Food is delicious, served quickly, portions are large. I recommend pretty much everything on the menu with refreshing pot of Jasmine tea.

Food was well cooked and presented we ordered sweet and sour prawn with rice 3 different noodle dish’s sweet n sour chicken satay chicken was really lovely sitted quickly and food ready quickly was a quiet evening so good choice of seating can’t wait to go back again

Wow! This is an amazing Chinese/noodle bar which offers a wide selection of great dishes at reasonable price. Spare ribs are more than one bite wonders, chilli beef deliciously spiced and duck noodles are really tasty - all freshly cooked and piping hot. Wasn’t keen on the Ramen Noodles but that was just my personal taste. The Yum Yum sauce is soooo addictive and found myself dreaming of it in the days after! Book early as they are always busy due to being one of the best in the area and their reputation precedes them. Loses a star just because you have to walk a way from the car park, which may be a problem if you have limited mobility. The food itself is fabulous so recommend highly

I have been eating at King Du since it opened many years ago now and I have introduced countless people to eat here too over the years. I have travelled from Enfield for the salt and pepper squid.. and ironically I have moved to Harlow now.

We popped into King Du before going to Panto we only had a short time do relied on the prompt and professional service we got. Food is wonderful the staff attentive its just a lovely place to visit.

I've tried two different dishes with Udon noodes, they were very tasty. I don't remember their names, but one was number 32 I think.

There was a limited selection but what there was it was hot and tasty and for £10 it was reasonable value for the money. The staff were polite and the tables were clean and tidy.

I think King Du might possibly be my favourite restaurant of all time. Food is cheap and absolutely divine, it comes quickly, you can usually get a nice table and the decor is rather nice! It's a gem that is hidden away in the back streets but is always busy even when harlow looks like a ghost town. Only gripe is that I wish the takeaway menu was the same as the restaurant menu as I would order takeaway from there, but all my favourite dishes arent on the menu.

This is still one of the best restaurants in the area, with consistently good food and reasonable service. It is getting a bit more pricey compared to its better days though and service is notably slower. Still worth it for a decent meal.

went on a sunday afternoon 5 adults 1 child under 2 years they made us very welcome food was served as soon as it was cooked so your meal was hot which means everyone didn't get there meals at the same time but was hot and tasty good value and a lot for your £1

This is at the edge of Harlow town centre by the weatherspoons pub. Service is friendly. Food is quite nice.I wouldn't say it is a place for a romantic meal. My wife and I went there for lunch whilst we were in Harlow. It was pleasant. Food was average as was the price. It is nothing special and I would definitely not go there specially. But if I am in the area, I would go back.

If you don't have the Salt and Pepper squid you are missing out I even got talking to someone who lived in Norfolk who had been and said how they miss the squid! Everyone I know loves it! Yummy yum yum

The quality and quantity of the food is fantastic and at a very reasonable price. This is simply great food, loads of it, served quickly with the minimum of fuss.

I’d never visited the Harlow shopping centre before, but whilst there were lots of voices, we plumped for here based on quality previous reviews. Thanks again Tripadvisor!

We have been either getting a takeaway or eating in here for many years (prob eaten in around 10 times and 40 takeaways).

We absolutely love this place. We don’t live that close to it but will go whenever we are in Harlow.

The service at King Du is quick and the staff here are really friendly. There is a great range of food to try on the menu, I am always spolit for choice - this time I ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid and spicy Beef Noodles - the food was great and came out really quick. All the food is very reasonably priced making this place great value for money. I was impressed with the decor that has been recently put in as part of the refurbishments too - great place.

We went here for an early dinner after going to the cinema. They have a great selection on their menu (almost too much choice!) and it’s all very well priced. The food came quickly and we had no issues with any of it. Salt and pepper squid was great and the kd noodles had very generous portions of meat

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years. This was the first time this year after many month and Its great to say that they continue to provide great food.

We popped in for a late evening meal after a visit to the cinema. We ordered fairly quickly from the extensive menu but were really delighted with our choices. The service was very efficient and our meal arrived within minutes. We ordered the salt and pepper squid (delicious), the Yum Yum king prawns (hot and spicy), chicken in black bean sauce with rice (gorgeous!) and teriaki beef with noodles (fabulous!). We really enjoyed our first visit. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

King du is my favourite restaurant in Harlow i eat there regularly and it never disappoints. Has been a little quiet recently though but possibly this could be me not eating at the busy times.

Nice range of food, and good lunch menu, I go here to celebrate a birthday at work or for leaving lunches. Everybody always enjoys themselves. Its not fancy- but you'll always have a good time here with the right company

Never, EVER, been disappointed with the food here...period! Get yr hungry belly to King Du, eat salt & pepper squid & yum yum beef til yr belly explodes!!! Omg! I'm hungry again!!! #getmeadoggiebag 😋
