Khyber Pass in Aberdeen City

Ordered food a couple of times. Can safely say this is one of the very few restaurants in Aberdeen that cook authentic Indian food

I waited over an hour for the ride, the driver didn't bother to look at the delivery instructions. where it was written that my apartment was on the lower floor and he tried to deliver it to the office on the floor above. then returned the food to the restaurant, I had to come get it myself. I asked them to make new fresh ones, the employees ignored my request. I definitely don't recommend it

Have ordered pizza, donner kebab and chicken shawarma. Food was nice. Heard they are famous for curries. Next time will try it for sure.

Lovely chicken pakoras, big portions

This is a friendly warning to avoid this place. The hygiene here is non existent. You might want to take a tetanus shot before coming in here. The back of the kitchen is dreadful. Rusty pipes and a couple of insects wandering around , likely cockroaches. The owner was incredibly rude and started to shout aggressively when the food came very cold DO NOT recommend

The food at Khyber Pass is consistently wonderful! The staff is super nice and friendly. Highly recommend, especially to students who have late night study sessions.

Ordered a meal for one Chilli Korma Fried rice Veg pakora Popadoms Food was excellent,staff we friendly

First time here for food after a mate said it was good. Guy who served me was nice and polite and very helpful, ordered some different curries, starters and nan. The vegetable curry was great, korma was ok but not the best, pakora, nan were all great. Overall this is one of the best in Aberdeen. They should look at opening a dine in as I am sure it would be busy. Update. Was back for more food. Chicken Jalfrezi was great, took some Biriani (for the wife) daughter loved it. One of the best take aways doing Indian food.

Honest review! Good service & generous quantities. The tandoori mixed grill however, was terrible. The rice & curry sauce were very good but the important part, the mixed grill itself, advertised as 1. Tandoori and 2. Cooked over hot coals is just not true. It's saturated in cheap commercial tandoori paste, zero char from a grill and tastes reheated. I imagine it all came from a bucket in the fridge having been previously stewed on something. The lamb chops were inedible, tasted frozen and like they'd been cooked several times, before being drenched in over salty cheap paste. A tandoori mixed grill should be juicy and properly cooked fresh over coals or in a tandoor. I don't understand why food outlets describe their food to be one thing but then serve food like this to customers with no pride in what they do. Saying that, their curry sauce is very nice. Some mixed vegetables would also have been nice with the mixed tandoor. It only costs a few pennies to throw them on the supposed hot coals. Yannow, the ones that create a char! The ones that don't exist judging by the poor meat.... :( So the good.... Rice was ok, naan breads ok but below average, kebab generous but mediocre quality, curry sauce perfect for British Indian style. The bad. The worst tandoori grill I've ever had. Not fresh, not cooked over coals. Very disappointed :-( Saying that, the quantities were good and overall it wasn't terrible. Unfortunately though, I wouldn't use again. It really shouldn't be this difficult to find reasonable food!

Fantastic meal from Khyber Pass and great value. We try out different Curry take aways and Khyber was one of the best we've tried.

Average kebab. Very disappointed with the taste and size.

Sent half the order and forgot to send rest. When I called to complain he said he wouldn't be sending the rest as we live too far away and it's not worth it, so now half the family have meals and half of us don't. Won't be ordering again

I ordered through Uber Eats at around 10:30pm with delivery scheduled to arrive between 22:55 and 23:15pm. It's currently 00:05am, tried calling however they're now closed. Quick enough to accept my order but I've had no updates since. Don't recommend - certainly wouldn't give them my money again.

Listen, I hate to do this, I really do. Usually I LOVE Khyber Pass - their lamb tikka starter may be the closest thing to ambrosa I've ever had, and they usually are really speedy. But it looks like they have a side business called Ha Pizza. I ordered from them tonight through Deliveroo and after over an hour and a half after the pizza was SUPPOSED to be delivered I received a message saying it had arrived. Except ... it hadn't. Not at all. Naturally, I tried to call multiple times to figure out what was going on but they never picked up the phone. Contacted Deliveroo and THEY tried calling. The same. So I don't know WHAT was going on tonight. I hope everyone is okay. But no food!

Amazing food and smells so good!

Used to be very good (if sightly inconsistent) but has really gone downhill in the last couple of years. Consistently poor quality now. Usually get a Korma, but it now tastes very little like it used to. Seems as though they're trying to cut corners with a watery base and very little added to it. Quality has been poor on at least the last 3 visits. Will be looking to try somewhere else now.

I ordered a custom pizza with 4 ingredients, the pizza had 1 of those and the dough was raw on the inside. The only thing this place is good at is giving you food poisoning. Ridiculous.

Ordered paneer and chicken biryani recently. Staff on the phone was very helpful and accommodating for special needs. Food was delivered on time and it was the best biryani we've had in Aberdeen. Quantity was also very sizable. I would highly recommend this place. 5 stars to the chef also.

Had a takeaway Indian curry from here. Food was ok (naan was very good) but Aberdeen is quite competitive with Indian food and I feel there are other places with more flavour.

Ordered tandoori lamb chilli masala,got mutton,with what I think was a bhoona sauce no fresh chilli just lots of seeds,SAD excuse for an usually enjoyable meal,should be ashamed gents 😖😖

Bought a Groupon and they have now “apparently” changed the Terms and Conditions, so it can only be used Sunday to Thursday. No notification of the change. Very rude manager! Avoid at all costs! Scam artists! Cheap and nasty joint! Will not be back! PS your floor and windows front of house are absolutely disgustingly filthy! That is front of house! How filthy is the kitchen?

I have been to this takeaway many times in the past the staff is very nice and the food is usually very good but on Friday I got a pizza and ended up with food poisoning and could I have been so ill that I have had to have help to move between rooms in my home still font feel right so this is only reason I am giving one star and this review because of what I have went through this weekend and still am

Open till late, convenient spot if you live nearby. Affordable for students as it gives you discount, the doner kebab and chips has never failed me. Ps. If you eat little you could share one kebab with somebody else since it is quite filling.

Good curry at great price using Groupon voucher. We thought we would receive a smaller portion but no - it was a good portion of meat. We had had set meal fir 2 and it was great. Hot and nicely spiced with a great depth of flavour. Recommended.

The food is delicious and the delivery was prompt. It arrived sooner than Just Eat said it would, which was great. I love the Meal Sets. Reasonably priced with plenty of food, enough for leftovers. I also love their student deals.

Not sure how to put this but I ordered a vegetable calzone fully expecting the standard onions, tomatoes etc as it says on the menu. However I was given an imalgamtion of the items listed plus alot of other stuff that simply isn't edible in a calzone. For instance the 2 or 3 whole potatoes, the 2 full heads of cauliflower, the random head of broccoli, the random sticks of lentil. I know I ordered a vegetable calzone but that seems extreme by so many means, it simply wasn't edible and so unenjoyable.

Normally I'd give 5 stars but tonight il gv u 1 star for the pitta or naan bread the chicken was nice to and always is but it was swimming in chilli sauce normally I just get tiny bit of chilli n yogurt but tonight I got a whole few ladles of chilli which I never asked for i cldnt eat much of the chicken cos the sauce was overpowering with chicken tikka my mouth is on fire half an hour later)!🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥😂

Beef burger (patty) tasteless. Calzone- doughy and soft to the verge of uncooked. The garlic sauce in chicken shawarma is odd tasting. One star for Halal food and other for pleasant staff. Wouldn’t recommend above 3 dishes from menu.

Great takeaway food with good prices. We've tried mostly pizzas and Indian food, both were great. Indian food was spiced perfectly. Staff is friendly and food was ready on time.

You thought you can eat spicy food? Order the chicken phall from Khyber Pass and then talk about bragging rights! It'a incredibly spicy, I think the hottest item on the menu - I love it but seriously, whoever orders it, proceed with caution!

Mi amigo y yo pedimos el menú fijo no. 2, lo suyo estuvo bien, estuvo bien y hubo mucho, pero. . .Soy vegetariano, así que para las proteínas elegí verduras y para el curry elegí Punjabi Masala. ¿Sin embargo llega con pollo ?. Incluso si generalmente está hecho con pollo, si solo pido verduras, ¿por qué le pondrías pollo? Está bastante mal pensado y deberían dejar más claro qué platos tienen carne y cuáles no.

Exceptional Curry again from Khyber Pass!!!! Best in Aberdeen and not over priced like most across aberdeen & shire! Brialliant that they delivery to Balmedie too without charging a fortune for delivery, excellent way to support the community during this pandemic!

We had a takeaway tonight from the Khyber Pass. It was so nice and flavoursome. I felt I had to phone them to say a huge thank you. Such hard times right now for us all, so was so nice to have such a Yummy Meal !!! we had the two person offer deal, well worth the money. Food turned up 30 minutes late, onion bahjis were missing from the order, for some reason the korma is spicy, probably just an ordinary curry as it didnt look nor taste like a corma, the tikka was over salted... Ordered pepsi and got coke.. Poppadoms tasted weird and the onion dip was sour and rank had to spit it out.. Robbed isn't the word, dont care how busy you are if you cant keep uo standards then closs your online order option.

Ordered on a Saturday night and the order was half an hour late, called them and was told the driver had just left and they apologised. If it’s so busy stop taking orders to catch up. Ordered korma and got a normal curry, tikka was inedible due to all the salt added, ordered Pepsi and got coke, poppadoms were stale and the food had spilled inside the carrier bag. Very disappointed, don’t waste your money here.

Great service, great prices and fantastic menu choice. Chicken pakora is absolutely delicious and brilliant value for money. Only wish it was open later at night!

Ordered food couple weeks back and order was all wrong thought try again last night and again all wrong !!! no rice, wrong nan and pakora freezing !!! Called and said I was disappointed and that by time they brought rice and nan out curries be cold!!! Manager was very rude to me on phone said what did I want I said refund and replacement he “laughed” an hour later he arrived at my door offered me £5 I said no I want refund he said only on return of food which I happily bagged up when I returned to door he was VERY AGGRESIVE AND SAID NOT TO COME AGAIN I SAID DONT WORRY I WONT !!! Felt very uncomfortable and threatened by him was glad my daughter witnessed him - AVOID THIS PLACE TERRIBLE FOOD AND ABUSIVE STAFF

Ordered one thing and got something different, also first time we had a kebaf from there it came with chips, second time it didn't. Staff was also a little rude and condescending. Shame as I used to quite like it but will probably not bother again.

Amazing tastes. The portions are good too. The only thing that needs improvement are the nan breads. They are very doughy not the crisp puff of a clay over shame it’s only thing that lets them down.

If i could rate this 0 star i would. Very bad customer service order food here go to collect and food not even started making. They told us 20 mins for collection we gave them an extra 15 mins and still no order ready. Not even started. Very terrible custiner service. Disappointed.

Great take away for Indian food. We tried the Saag Paneer Muttar and the garam masala. We also ordered the special rice and chicken fried rice. It was great! Definitely my go to Indian take out in Aberdeen! To our surprise, we ordered pizza and it was amazing!!! We could not believe how tasty it was! Of course it's not authentic pizza but it's an Indian pizza. The bread tasted like naan and it's amazing! There were so many dishes to choose from and it took us quite awhile to decide which one we wanted to order. We waited quite long for the order but definitely worth the wait.

If it is true they've changed management then it shows. The best takeaway in Aberdeen is now amongst the worst. Last night we had 3 different meals, one was completely inedible and two people were up all night being ill. We will miss the original Khyber Pass :'(

Good value and friendly staff but average food. Nan bread underdone and made to wait just as long if not longer when going to the take away and ordering at the counter than if I'd stayed home and got a delivery. Won't be in any rush to eat from here again.

Recently moved in to Sunnybank road this take away is a blessing the food is worthy of the 5 star rating I've given it. The staff deserve the 5 star rating too very friendly even when they are busy so fair play to them its not often you visit food outlets when busy they have time to still be extremely friendly.
