KFC Kirkcaldy - Central Retail Park in Fife

I am giving 1 star for the food because the staff were happy to give me a refund. Ordered the bucket for one which was inedible and soaking in grease. Clearly the oil needs ro be changed or my items were reheated in warm oil. The fries were soggy and tasted of old oil. As i day the staff gave me a full refund so got my money back.

Chicken was very well done, felt like it had been reheated. The bread buns were breaking into pieces as soon as touched. So very disappointed, first visit. Might call back, but not sure.

Very expensive for what you get

We paid for tropicana and got offered blackcurrant DILUTING JUICE

I go to kfc coz I love the food. However my experience wasn’t! I ordered at the kiosk as usual and they had table service numbers available so I took one and sat down. The guy behind the counter started calling out numbers I paid no attention expecting table service myself he then called my table number and whistled at me like a dog!!! and made me go up to the checkout to tell me there was no fizzy drinks !! Which I did find strange but excepted they had ran out or had an issue. But when someone chooses table service that doesn’t mean shout across the restaurant ( if you can call it that) and proses to whistle at customers to get there attention !!

Food disgraceful, staff not interested

As expected. Not great but not bad. Restaurants not open. No sign to let you know. Ordered and then had to go in drive through. Only thing is once you've parked and realise the restaurant is closed, it's almost impossible to get back into the drive through queue as nobody lets you in! Quite frustrating.

Pretty disappointed with our visit to KFC as a treat for our granddaughter. Ordered from app inside and 15 minutes later still no table delivery so retrieved from counter only to have to make two further trips to counter to get missing items from order. Staff claimed the couldn't find our table and announced twice on tanoy, which was strange as there was only a dozen people in and about 4 or 5 tables occupied. Food was ok but won't be back as service was rubbish

Love the chicken and the choices. I can't have the fried, though...... because I have a medical issue that prohibits me from eating any skins. So, a skinless option in fries would help me. I also can't eat beans nor corn, so it's fries or nothing, but I've mentioned this b4 Overall, I love the chicken. Staff very busy, so not much chit chat with them. Too hurried at the drive through for me so I prefer to go in. I also get confused with the ordering terminals, I prefer spreaking to someone personally. No atmosphere at all. Good food, but bad pricing but I also can't stand diet drinks.

Always here after work for some scran and some protein / cheat meal for the gym and can say this place is one of the best, the other reviews are discrediting the actual good parts of this place. always clean, friendly and fast service, longest wait ive had is 10-15 minutes for a meal which is banging, definitely recommend this place 👍😁

Been going to this KFC for years, it's top quality when it comes down to food. The workers are friendly and the service is extremely fast, it wasn't all that great years ago but it has improved a ton in the past 3 years. The food was very good, I get my boneless banquet and chicken wings and gravy as a side, only thing that i've ever had problems with is delivery, I order this most the time and 60% they forget to put gravy or put something completely different which isn't too much of an issue but can be a minor annoyance, but the food is always hot when delivered which most places don't manage to pull off. The layout inside the restaurant is very nice compared to what it once was, a lot more seating areas and overall very clean. Wait times for food don't take that long either, usually get ur food within 5 minutes which is really good, way better than the waits you had to withstand years ago. Overall very good, better than most fast food places these days

We decided to order inside the premises to which we had to wait half an hour for our order when we did get the order the chicken was fine but the fries we're cold the bucket has split and we had grease everywhere, seem to be a lot of staff doing nothing and not a lot of motivation

Food wasn’t horrid but we found a maggot on the windowsill next to our table. Manager refunded the food which we are greatful of. However there is clearly a hygiene issue somewhere here. Simply can’t score higher than a 1 as a result. Manager also gave a worrying justification for maggots being where I found them. Defo won’t be back.

My couple of visits in this place wore a failure. Every time I ordered something I either never got my items at all or got different ones given. And instead giving me something in exchange or just straight refunding it I was given a "oh sory we don't have it" like seriously?

Food is howling and half of the stuff they don't even have like why even open ?

Updated review because this place is getting more dogcrap as the time goes on. This is now one of many times where I get different items given in my order and everysingle time that I'm in I need to triple check that I get what I order because you never do. What with chips, cold, soggy and over spiced for my liking. What happened to just plain crispy fries? The drink was half filled with ice. I think you can do better!

Chicken was terrible & the popcorn chicken deal, well your lucky if you got 10 and the chips were limp. Place has gone downhill, dirty and the staff couldn't care less. I won't be back to this KFC💯

Another KFC visited. Excellent food and helpful staff. The car park is very small with narrow bays and limited space for manoeuvring. Only 2 disabled bays and the drive through area is tight to negotiate. A negative point for us is the lack of traditional fizzy drinks. The company policy of only serving diet drinks is in my opinion wrong. Good disabled access and washroom.

We took our 3 grandchildren for KFC as a treat. The screen ordering system was a bit confusing - we should probably have let the kids do it lol. The food was delicious, the gravy was gorgeous as always, the fries were really nice, unlike another fast food place's fries 🍟. Tables were cleaned quickly after customers left. Staff were helpful. Clean premises. Over all it was a very enjoyable meal

Worst KFC ever, freezing cold in restaurant. Chips soggy and cold. Chicken portions hardly any meat it was all batter.

Always great going here, the food is always fresh and hot, the staff are polite and the tables are always clean. Never had any issues.

But 10 pieces - which came as 9 chicken legs and 1 breast piece - very disapointing not worth the money - if you don't specify what you want apparently - you get left overs! I don't eat chicken legs - so toast for dinner - I think!

Fine if you eat in, but if you're getting drive thru or delivery don't bother. Every employee with the exception of maybe 3 is illiterate and will mess the order up, tried a few different times and the order has been wrong literally every time

I ordered from here and they missed a full mean, called up was told to request a refund, I suggested ordering something else and asked them to add the missing meal to the order which I was told was fine. The next order shows up food still missing! Called back and when someone answered I heard someone in the background say to hang up, absolutely unacceptable

Place empty when went in but lots of tables had not been cleaned Seats with cushions on were all marked/dirty

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just went to drive thru.. woman on speaker kept me waiting. Then all I got was "what can I get you.". "Next window" where no one was at the window.. left sitting while the 2 girls chatted. No apologies for wait or delay... no please or thank... so I left. Not paying for treatment like that.

The portion of chicken were so small made for kids bites , the tables were dirty and the staff were so miserables like I told them to go and stay in the rain 🌧 and cook my food ... not impressed !.

Rather undercooked chicken ie not raw but certainly not a crispy coating, the chips were also undercooked and it seems they're using skin on fries as ours were covered in potato skin

Bucket of chicken was on spot with USA recipe. Coleslaw was creamier and longer cut pieces, creamy mash and gravy were very differnt but delicious.

The Food was hot the service was fantastic the cleanliness was good no rubbish which is great for a fast food restaurant

Ordered in advance and the food was ready when we arrived. Overall it was hot and tasty. Fries were a little soggy. Cleanliness of seating area was poor. Noone seemed to be cleaning, so the tables were dirty, floors had food, sauce and drinks spilt on or under most tables & some chairs. Floor was dirty throughout. Disabled toilet had water on floor which caused one of my crutches to slip (informed staff of this).

Took a while for the staff to even acknowledge that I was waiting, relying too much on technology and forgetting old fashioned customer service.

I usually use the apps on all takeaways, but KFC currently has a two dinner meal deal for £6,99 in the restaurant, which I couldn't find in the app. It contained two burgers, two medium fries, and two regular drinks. All for £6.99 excellent value for money, especially if you weren't planning to eat out.

First time in here since its refit, what a difference, Cosy, bright and a lot cleaner than the old unit.

KFC Kirkcaldy - Ordered a bargain bucket with 10 pieces. Advised at payment window contact less was not working only accepting chip & pin, no problem. Moved onto final window expecting to receive order. Car park quiet and inside restaurant not busy. I was told they are cooking the chicken and they will bring my order out to me once ready found it surprising as when I parked up numerous cars were ordering receiving their orders and driving off. I had to wait 25 mins for mine there was another man waiting after me so we got our orders at the same time. Watched the man get his and did hope the order was not mixed up as mine looked smaller than usual. When I was handed the order it did feel lighter than normal. Drove off and thought to check good job stopped a newliston and opened the bag to find gut feeling was right, the bucket was half the size in it was 6 drumsticks 2 wings 2 small thighs all for £17.99 I was ragging!! Went back to KFC went straight into the restaurant and questioned it. Was told they had run out of White Meat! Why had they not said this at the time of placing the order so a informed decision could be made just like their Contactless not working. Also asked why various orders were made before mine, told not all orders are for meat on the bone. So they do have white meat!!@@!!!Asked the manager could he not see a problem here customers paying full price for cheaper cuts of chicken. Got my money back in full in cash. That was also weird normally it would be credited back to the debit card used to purchase the order. The whole experience is very suspicious think a conversation with Trading Standards needs to be had. As I have also read other reviews explaining similar situations. KFC this is disgusting.

What Is The Point In This Place Opening , You Turn Up And Its Drive Thru Only , When You Do Get In More Food Off The Menu Than On It , Run Out Of Milk At 8pm So No Coffee , No Point. Staff Are Nice Though I Feel Sorry For Them .

Great tasting Chicken large portions ,tables spotless fast service would have 5 stars but 2 of the ladies toilets had no paper ! Staff were informed and this was rectified right away.

19-11-22 . Waited in the drive through...tried to order and was cash only . No communication at the start so I could have an informed decision. Had wait as I couldn't get out. Always issues with this Kfc? Need to give the franchise to someone else as they are ruining the experience and the brand.

Worst KFC I have ever been to. Been there 5 times. First 3 times, I had to go back because they made mistakeS and were not dealing with it nicely... 4th time, we got inside, starting to order at the machine and then, member of staff came to us saying "it is actually closed" even though it is written quite big "open 7 days", it was 17h00 on a Saturday... The last time, we were told "it is cash only all of our machine are broken"... Anyway, there is ALWAYS.... ALWAYS something wrong at this place... They need to change the manager there.

Kfc in Kirkcaldy is actually a disgrace and I don't know why I never learn my lesson and look in the bag to see if is all in there. Tonight we ordered a bucket to share,a box of hot wings and chicken strips. Got home (Leven) and realised there were no chicken strips inside . Everytime I ordered a garlic sauce, I pay for it but never in the bag. I am very disappointed and probably won't get anything from there for a long time Staff members are ridiculous and always forgetful or maybe they do it on purpose to just take the money but not giving everything you paid for. Today is been the 4th time in a row that happened and I think this is totally unacceptable. 😡

Ordered a zinger tower box meal with gravy and 2 hot wings at £8.49 I got a standard fillet burger and NO hot wings!! Missing a wrap that cost nearly £5 And only a tiny portion of fries. Either they gave me someone else's order or just completely messed mine up! Tried phoning repeatedly but just kept ringing out! I am NOT happy and want my money back!!

Salad box (via drive thru) without cutlery No napkins No straw for drink, which was also wrong. I ordered diet coke but was lemonade or 7up or something similar that I received instead. Won't be back

Gave entirely wrong order and receipt the coke I ordered had a cut in the lid and dripped all over me this is the third time this has happened me and my family order takeaway once a week and are constantly disappointed would not go again waste of money

Excellent service and fabulous chicken

Great place, recently been updated, looking good. Always good and quick, they have never forgot my gravy. Drive thru still has large concrete pillar out front tho, which is a nightmare if you have a family sized car.

Ordered from just eat and just never arrived. Great when you have a house full of people waiting for food before bed.

1st juice is spilled into my car all over me and my partner by accident which isnt the guys fault as hes running about like crazy, obviously stressed while 2 lassies are standing about doing nothing now parked up waiting on our food which has been over 25mins. With queues getting bigger. For a lassie to be sent out with our meal but walked all round car park then went back into restaurant with our order and got the guy who is trying to take orders and serve people meals to bring it back out. Service is a complete joke.

Food is good, location entrance is rubbish. You get stuck in the McDonald's queue and can't get out due to the same issue. Last thing is you get no spoons, napkins or forks to eat your beans with. Rubbish!
