KFC in Ceredigion

Very accommodating of insoberant people, sorry I just need some food and drink, "money can be exchanged for goods and services" it does what is needed, staff are good, quite fast food service, better than elsewhere in aber, was only about a minute maximusl

Really dont know why I visited this place again as things have not improved at all. Slow service by disinterested staff, food very greasy, toilets and tables dirty. ***AVOID***

So it was late at night and our family was hungry. The only GF option for me was a green salad or corn on the cob. Others had chicken and chips which were nice. I couldn’t even have chips!! I ended up with 2 corn on the cob. Why don’t these big chains cater for GF people. There are 1 in 100 people who can’t eat wheat.

Decided to stop in for a quick snack, always a little hesitant these days due to previous experiences regarding the waiting time. It was alot more organised and food arrived fast on this occasion!

Visited a couple of times and the food was great and the service excellent. Staff were so friendly too. Clean restaurant.

Slow service in a rather dirty KFC. Toilets were shocking, staff uninterested, chicken dripping with grease and inedible and Manager didnt want to listen to complaints

yesterday i had one of the worst experiences in Kfc Aberystwyth. Firstly a large lady who worked there was very rude to me and some of the other customers that where there, and we heard the staff calling and pointing some of the customers and actually saying things like "stupid" and "strange" which is very rude and degrading for some customers. Next, mainly the women that work there only give one ketchup sachets which is ridiculous for a meal from kfc since you need some sort of sauce for the flavour and then when I asked for more she refused and walked off laughing. Like in most places like Mcdonalds you are free to go get ketchup at any time which is more valid than one ketchup sachet. After my experience in the Aberystwyth KFC I do not intend to go back there unless they change there manners and attitude.

the staff are rude and refuse to give you more than one sauce, which is ketchup, mayonnaise etc. you get ONE sachet. when you ask for more because you don't like to eat your food without sauce, they refuse or give you one more sachet and say "no more". when you complain that you are unable to eat your meal without sauce as it doesn't taste the same, they still refuse. not sure if theyre financially struggling and cant afford sauces or what but if that's the issue, make people pay 10p for them? absolute crap place. not friendly, wont give you ketchup or mayonnaise, krushem machine is always broken, or the chips or chicken is out? close down if you cant afford to keep it open AND not to mention the upstairs area with the toilets and all the family tables are always closed due to the fact they cant be bothered to clean upstairs. you have to ask for a key to the disabled toilets downstairs if you wish to use the toilets. they bought the upstairs in 2017 or 18 and cant even keep it open as they cant clean it. disgraceful

I have visited this branch a couple of times recently with my family for a quick tea during stop-overs at Aberystwyth, when we visited we noticed that the place was quite and reasonably clean. Our meals were hot and practically cooked to order.. :-)

We'd been travelling around the area all day visiting some wonderful places and heard the ad on local radio too many times to mention about 5 pieces of chicken for £6. Qued for 10 mins to place our order only to find there was no chickennon the bone at 530 pm and none on the premises to cook. Had to have a burger meal instead. The big daddy burger was a disgrece, hash brown was stone cold the chicken fillet was only tepid (nowhere near 63°c ). The restraunt was filthy and the floor was slippy. The kids said theirs was ok.

Slow service, dirty tables and food was very greasy and Luke warm. When I complained I was told "that's just the way it is!". Toilets need a damn good clean.

we went hear for lunch, food was gd , the reason why i have given a 4out 5 is because the order was messed up and we couldn't change it , clean place , friendly staff, we always call in when in the area

Been here a few times and last few times the chicken has been so greasy as to be inedible. Complained to Manager and he was uninterested and unapologetic. Won't eat here again!!

Popped in here for a snack..fancied the 1 person deal but it has hot wings in and I don't lie fiery food so asked to swap( as I've done so in the past) of lyn to be told " we can't do that anymore"..hmm. disappointed...come on KFC...not everyone likes hot food so had I stayed with my meal choice minus hot wings you'd have charged me the same price and gained extra profits on the wings I didn't have...Or is this the real reason behind this latest change to your menu...offer less gain more.

Rude unhelpful ignorant staff that would sooner talk to thier student friends than serve

The pace the staff work at is horrendous. I appreciate food needs to be cooked, but 10minutes for a mini fillet? Last few times I've been in I have had to wait around the 10minute mark.

Newly refurbished friendly staff, toilets clean and perfect fast food establishment on centre of town.

To call this a fast food place would be an insult. 3 staff on duty, all have beards but only one wearing a net. Food is decent but service could do with improvement.

It was a cold day & we wanted to grab something to take back for dinner. Us as a family have eaten kfc from alot of different places but this kfc was the BEST it wasn't greasy and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken actually had taste & flavour.

Ah me encanta un KF. C! Especialmente los martes cuando mi esposa está en su casa con sus maridos, glorioso. En vez de comer mi tradicional en vez de huevos moteados que rebanadas en un encantador KFC. Ah me puede decir qué llaman Kentubry pollo frito. ¡Delicioso!

La comida está bien, pero bastante grasienta en comparación a otros restaurantes kfc. El servicio de aquí una eternidad, incluso cuando no es muy transitada. He visitado 3 veces en los últimos meses y me dejaba esperando en menos de 15 minutos en la cola cada vez, incluso cuando sólo había dos o tres otras personas delante de mí. El restaurante en sí es bastante limpio y el personal puede ser amable, dependiendo de quién te toque. 2 de 3 veces la comida ha sido más frío de lo que te esperas, pero sabía bien. Por alguna razón, sabe más como pollo frito del sur te en un kebab shop, y las piezas de pollo son mucho más pequeñas y más negro que otros KFCs, pero no era la peor comida que he probado.

What do you expect? nice staff and quick food. But if you are expecting amazing healthy food you are in the wrong place.

Popped in for a couple of pieces of fried chicken on a Saturday night and was greeted by a staff member clearing tables before being served by another very friendly team member. 2 good sized freshly cooked hot pieces were wrapped in very welcome minimal recyclable packaging with a serviette and traditional citrus fragrance wet wipe, all for £2.99 - thank you Team KFC Aberystwyth - highly recommended. Would not normally review worldwide chains but on each and every occasion the high standard of welcome, attention to detail and great customer service prompts this review of this outlet as what appears to be a well led and motivated front of house team - keep up the good work.

A total Hell Hole !!! The Staff were like something out of Shaun of the Dead, tables filthy, covered with food, I asked for a cloth as the table was swimming in coke, I was ignored, floor covered in chips, food cold, no cheese on my burger, no loo roll in the toilets, no cutlery or wipes given, quite simply the worst KFC I have had the misfortune to stumble across, you guys need to get your act together, because quite frankly this really is a hovel !!!

This is an okay kfc, it is a bit small but busy. The food was good and i enjoyed. The staff were friendly.

Could not be more disappointed with the service, fired all the good staff and hired staff that have no clue what they are doing. They messed up my order completely and the food was tasteless. And don't even talk about the gaunt looking faces working there. Wouldn't hurt to crack a smile now and then. Awful

The food is greasy the staff are rude 15 minutes wait when it's not even busy this is not fast food it's a joke The place should be closed down or carry a public health warning !!!!!!

I am a big fan of KFC and have visited many restaurants but this one is by far the worst, so bad i will never eat here again. As i walked in i almost broke my neck when i slipped on the greasy floor that was in need of a clean and the tables were in the same state with left over pieces of food strewn about. There was no excuse as there was plenty of staff on duty not doing anything. I decided to take a gamble and eat.....big mistake! I spent the next 4 days on the toilet while being violently sick, i dread to think what they had fed me, needless to say i wont be going here again. Everytime i am passing now i take a glance to see if its improved but it doesnt seem to get any better. My advice steer clear

Firstly, they got the order wrong, and then continued to go downhill. The walls were dirty, the tables were not wiped (meaning we had to do that ourselves) and we ended up taking the food back to the counter, as it was not to a good enough standard. The chicken was like rubber, the chips were dry and the staff were clueless. We will not be returning.

I dont visit kfc often, but do pop in on the odd occasian if im starving. Always busy in here so you would expect the food to be nice. Every single time i have had food from here the chips are somehow always cold!! HOW?! Even if they are fresh out, i get to my table and there cold straight away. I dont understand! The fizzy pop is NEVER fizzy! The main part of the meal is fine i normally have the zinger twister meal and never any problems with my wrap. Always just the chips and drink. Its funny how they never offer a medium or large meal. =/ . Most tables are dirty when i go in , either not enough staff or just pure lazy. Bring burger king back!

Chips cold,chicken not nice, staff scruffy won't be using kfc again.took my grandson to this kfc have also taken them to kfc in Wrexham which is not much different, vagrants using the toilets to wash but don't buy anything, I wouldn't let my 7 year old grandson go into the toilets for fear of the vagrants in there. Go somewhere else is my advice.

I remember when this shop first opened in Aber a few years back, and it was one on the best KFC's I'd ever visited - which is praise in deed from someone who has been enjoying KFC since the 1970's ! Well what a difference a few years make - this place almost always now has the slowest service, meaning the longest queues. The place almost always looks dirty, with the tables left uncleared, and covered with the previous occupiers rubbish for ages after they have left.I know that KFC is a franchise, well this one needs a sharp kick up the bottom !

Called here at about 4pm long queue waited about 10 mins in this time my husband was looking for a clean table, all the empty tables were dirty. Ordered food, had that pretty much straight away. I asked if I could have a cloth to clean the table my family were sitting at the girl said she would do it and was sorry as they had been busy. The food is probably the worst we have had in any KFC. The gravy had a layer of grease on the top never seen that anywhere else before. The grease from the chicken was running down your fingers and didn't taste nice, and the chips were cold. The state on the floor was shocking there was food and wrappers everywhere, food on the walls, didn't look nice at all. Surely there is no need for this if other KFC restaurants can keep the place clean then why cant this one. Wont be stopping here again.

This is a small but typical KFC franchise shop. There are tables for "Eating-in" but it is mainly a take-away. the hop is situated on one of the main shopping streets in the town and handy for the bus and rail stations.

It's always a struggle to finish off one of there meals , for the first time ever I had chicken popcorn, and it was great. And to be fair there hotchocolate definitely gives the like of Costa and Starbucks a run for there money.

If you like a dose of salmonella in your chicken then be sure to eat here! The greasy windows and debris covered table tops should of warned me really. The worst case of diahorria was soon to follow. The place needs a good steam clean and the staff need a good slap! Wouldnt eat here again even if the food was free!

Great service with a smile from staff despite long queues and a lot of noise. Seemed to be busy every day we passed and very popular with towns residents.

Went to the kfc and asked for a takeaway the service was poor and I was waiting to be served while staff were doing other things . I was parked in a restricted area and wanted to be served and reason I stopped was the restaurant did not appear busy. I was disappointed and when I found my order was also short of popcorn chicken I was not amused the food however was very nice and what I expect from a kfc

Me and my family ordered food here whilst away for the weekend in Aber. I ordered the fully loaded me, I generally order this because I love their gravy... To my distress they had run out! My father had also ordered at the same time to get back to the caravan to find the order is wrong. Food we were given was nice but just a shame they can't get simple things right.

The KFC is situated in Terrace Road which is just a short walk from the railway station. The place itself was very clean as were the toilets. The food was up to the usual KFC standard and served by friendly staff. It's popular with students and visitors on holiday. Very handy for a late night snack.

I can't say that I am a fan even though the food is as it would be in any other KFC. I went once and that would be it for me. I didn't like the coffee and I prefer the ice-cream in McDonalds where the wifi is also better.

The food is nice. But make sure you check your order, there is something wrong without fail everytime i get a takeaway from there...or something is just missed out completely

Heavens above....what is it with staff, is it the summer rush they get with holiday makers...or just the evening food rush from students....either way, the staff need a good talking to about their attitude to customers, whome, without their patronage, would be on the dole or filling shelves in the local superstore.No please...no thank you and certainly no smile from ANYONE.......With this attitude and poor deep fried frozen food.........I will never return.

A good standard KFC restaurant. It's clean and has a friendly atmosphere. There's rarely a queue because they work well and if there is it usually goes down fairly quickly.

I felt like the experience was a punishment, things improved slightly when ian informed me that the salt was in paper sachets in the bag! then declined when a girl started playing music on her phone! I at one point thought it may be a concept food experience like the black out restaurant I visited in Berlin, the concept being the dedicated salted chips and strangely moist yet dehydrating chicken were designed to improve the experience of the drink, but when I drank the Pepsi that was so over carbonated it burnt my throat! I looked around and wondered how any human could enjoy this experience and felt a dead hollowed out sensation growing in my soul! And for some weird reason I can't remember what it tasted like?

I really like KFC in Weymouth but this one In aberystwyth is beyond a joke overcooked as it is being held too long very dry . warm gravy . lumpy porridge is what it looks like .Chips soggy greasy and cold bread roll very dry and stale so t go again and you should think twice

Called here on Saturday evening - 22nd November 2014. We had high hopes having enjoyed the KFC in Aberystwyth last time we tried it about 8 or 9 years ago. But this time is was off to a bad start right away, having to wait in a queue for about 45 minutes. Next surprise was the menu had changed drastically (why change a good thing?). It is now far too complicated to make a quick decision at the counter. I ended up with a "supercharger" chicken burger with fries, my partner ended up with a snackbox with fries. In both cases it was grim eating, but we were famished. It had no taste other than the BBQ sauce on it, chicken was tasteless, burger bun was tasteless - I strongly suspect there would have been more taste in the packaging. All in all it was a completely dismal experience that spoiled the evening and we will never visit a KFC again.

It was ok vist to this resurant the staff was polite and sevice was slow I had to Waite at least 30 mins before I was actually seved with my meal

Gravy was lumpy and tasted of flour, chicken wings were tasteless, chicken had fat just dripping off and chips were stale.Friend had pulled chicken burger and the 'salad' was a few pieces of shredded carrot and lettuce thrown limply on top. Avoid at all costs.

Quick service, but food isn't as fresh as it could be, and the restaurant seems to close quite early, which is odd considering it would make a roaring trade from all the students!

Basic fast food odd queuing system synonymous with Aber where no one knows where it it is and just mingle around wondering who's next.

went to purchase food then went to table tables not cleared food every where unfit for customers bench seat had big hole in it padding bursting out very sorry not good enough will never go back there.

If KFC advertise they close at 11.00pm they should at least have more than popcorn chicken and hot wings at 10.15. this is the 2nd and last time we will choose KFC for an after cinema take away. On both occasions (Aberystwyth and Coalville) the staff have been less than interested in supplying food. my advice to KFC is close earlier and save the wage bill and stop wasting peoples time.

I was waiting for over 20 mkns in the queue, then another 10 for just one boneless banquet - fries fried in old stinky oil, soggy and bitter! Small, dry pieces of chicken with almost no "secret spices" on it. Never again!

Friendly staff. Lets just say that budget bucket was to die for. Miss the Reggae Reggae meal though.
