1st visit & very pleasantly impressed with food. Quiet atmosphere, Tuesday eve. Totally fine as was with friends. Excellent selection & great portion size, satisfyingly full. Will be returning. Staff good service.

Good service, great food which didn’t take long surprisingly even though the restaurant was completely full. Used to come here when it was smaller and called kervan Saray as a kid, nice to see it is doing well.

1st time back since re refurb very disappointed. Me & daughter ordered chicken a la cream - white sauce was a glowing yellow sauce - not nice at all appearance & taste ! Staff were unusually miserable really not good atmosphere! Prices increased yet service and quality of food really gone down. We have been regulars since they first opened this restaurant which was half the size ! After this experience we will not be back it was a disappointing waste of money !

This is our local restaurant, great food for both eat in and take away - but would say the atmosphere when eating in is unmatched! The food never disappoints and will continue coming here time and time again!

Sorry to say I feel this restaurant is over rated. The decor is lovely and the singer was fab but the food was a let down. The halloumi was rubbery and the lamb chops were fatty, over cooked and bland. I have eaten at other local Turkish where the food is much more flavoursome. The staff were attentive and friendly and I would give them 10/10. Such a shame about the quality of food, just not up to standard. Afraid to say I will not be returning.

Perhaps my 25th visit in here and it goes from strength to strength. I and my family once again had an amazing time. Delicious food cooked by the wonderful chef Ahmed and served in time and without delay. Hospitality is second to none and very hard to match never mind beat. A special mention goes to SERKAN who made sure no stone was left unturned on this visit and never fail short of offering a world class service. Lamb chops were great but the rest was not even ok really. Dips for bread appeared to be watered down. Calamari and chicken wings were Iceland quality. Very overpriced. Shame because I’m happy to at a good price but I want better food. Service was non existent.

The food was delicious and you get so much for your money. The waiter told us not to order too many starters, but we did anyway because it all looked so good! Unfortunately we only had the opportunity to visit once before the lockdown began. But because the food was good and the service was friendly we decided to order takeaways a couple of times during that period. So now with all our favourite restaurants in full swing it's been great catching up with seeing everyone. This led us to today when we decided to return to Kervan Kitchen in Gidea Park. When we arrived we immediately sanitized our hands before they took down our contact details. We were then escorted to our table. We did notice that although they hadn't removed any tables they had laid them so that everyone would be a safe distance apart. I was also glad to see that the staff were not wearing any face masks which is something we're seeing more and more now I'm personally pleased to say. While looking at the menu we ordered drinks and were brought some Pita bread with Garlic and Chilli Dips.We decided to start with the Mixed Cold Meze accompanied with some more Pita Bread and it was absolutely delicious.Once we'd finished our starter we then ordered our mains. I went for my favourite the Mixed Kebab consisting of a Lamb Shish , Chicken Shish & Adana Kofte. My wife chose the Mixed Grilled Seafood of Tiger Prawn , Monkfish & Salmon. Both dishes were excellent and cooked to perfection. Each main came with a nice sized salad and rice.We finished with a Tea to end a fabulous Turkish lunch. The food here is fantastic and the service is very friendly. I think you'll have to go along way to find a better Turkish restaurant than this one. So it won't surprise you when I say that I would highly recommend paying them a visit and I will definitely be going back again soon.#SupportLocal #SupportHospitality

Since this resteraunt opened me and my family have visited weekly.The staff are amazing and we see them like family now, they are super friendly and will go above and beyond to cater for you.The food and drink on the other hand is out of this world and is greatly priced for what your getting. I highly recommend coming here as a family or as a meal as a couple.

This is the best turkish that you can find. We have been coming here for years and it is even better since the renovation which doubled the restaurant size. The food is amazing and the prices are still normal for any Turkish restaurant vs others that are good but loads more expensive. Staff are great too. We have been coming here for 10 years, for couples dinners and family meals and birthday celebrations and we won't be stopping any time soon.

Our party really loved the food at the Kervan Kitchen. The menu was extensive and good for all preferences, including vegetarian. It was a hot day so it was great to have the doors open, and this restaurant is clearly popular, being quite busy on a Thursday lunchtime, though everyone was well spaced. Food was very prompt in being prepared and very well presented.The best part of the experience was the quality of the food and the excellent cooking, particularly the prawns, which were succulent and juicy, and enormous. The salad was very fresh, the rice just right, and the chips, I'm reliably informed, were excellent too. Well done, Chef. With such delicious food, and large portions for both starters and mains, we felt the dessert was a slight disappointment, as the ordered chocolate "mousse" was actually a chocolate fondant. Either would have been fine, but the fondant, whilst hot and tasty, was very flat and small, so just not great value for money.A word to the wise: If the fondant was correctly labelled on the menu it would likely attract many more customers. Its title is misleading, as a fondant is a hot sponge-like dessert, whereas a mousse is cold, light and fluffy.Like other customers before us, we felt the service lacked a bit of finesse. There was a sense of being slightly rushed and an air of arrogance. It wouldn't stop us returning, but we do feel the customer service should be more of a priority...especially at their relatively high prices.

We went for dinner last night, the food was delicious and very well presented. the restaurant it lovely with a great atmosphere. Our waiter was great and very attentive but my only issue was it all happened to fast, I know they were busy and trying to keep up with ordera but we literally had our bread, starters and main in under an hour it felt like as soon as one dish was taken away the next one was given to you, we didn’t have a break to rest or digest until til next dish was given so we didn’t manage to eat it all as we felt to stuffed x but would deffo go again and we did enjoy it x

I have just returned here for my first meal out since re-opening. I expected to find many changes but the only obvious changes were a hand sanitizer in the entrance and the staff wearing gloves. There was no wearing of face masks or plastic visors by the servers. It was quiet so spacing between diners was not a problem when I was there. Cutlery and a plate and salt and pepper were already laid. Menus were not of the single use type. Three different servers attended my table. There were no hand sanitizer in the loo.The staff and food and ambiance were all great but I left wondering whether I have put my self at risk.Perhaps my expectations were too high following what the media had told us to expect but I think that face masks and only one member of staff per table to minimise contact is not too much to expect. We all have our own opinions so you must make your own mind up as to whether you consider this acceptable or not. If the issues I've mentioned don't worry you then eat at this establishment, you won't regret it.

I've only had the pleasure of eating at this Turkish restaurant once and even then that was a last minute decision for a quick lunch. But even during that short experience i absolutely loved the food and the staff were very friendly so you could see why some of my friends had said I should give it a try. So when it came to these tough times that we're experiencing now where all the restaurants had to close but could still open for takeaway and delivery only we decided to put Kervan Kitchen at the top of our list. It was three weeks ago when we decided to use them for the first time and I have to say their service was excellent. We rang up to make an order for delivery ordering the Mixed Cold Meze Starter followed by the Kervan Kitchen Special and under the time they gave you it arrived at our doorstep fresh & hot. We received a thank you from the driver for using them which was a nice touch. I have to say the food was amazing so straight away we definitely knew we'd use them again. This made our decision for this saturday very easy as we thought we'd try them again and once more the food and service was excellent. On this occasion we ordered the Patlican Soslu , Yaprak Sarma to start. Then for mains the Large Special Chicken Kebab & the Mixed Kebab along with an Ezme Salad and just like our previous time arrived at the door fresh & hot and inside the time stated. I would highly recommend giving them a try as the food is fantastic and their service is excellent. I'm definitely looking forward to when these times are over so I can visit the restaurant again but until then I'm more than happy to use there delivery service.

I come here every week and every time I cannot fault the place. Kervan is such a lovely, friendly and inviting restaurant, I recommend this place to anyone who is in the area. We are often asked by our friends if we can recommend a place to go and eat, we always suggest Kervan Kitchen. The staff members are always there in case you need something and are more than happy to help no matter what.

Kervan Kitchen is the best restaurant. Very good food, nice atmosphere and with really welcoming team. One person in particular who always make our stay more pleasant is BETON. He always is around to ask if everything is ok, makes jokes and makes you feel really comfortable while you are there.

Great restaurant , great food , great service , a very welcoming restaurant with a very modern traditional theme with a very relaxing environment with a variety of different occasions in the restaurant which are all catered for in a very nice manor ! One person in particular that always makes the meal nice is Beton - always checking if anything else was needed and always a pleasure to have a chat with , making as much time for the customers as possible !

Had a very good meal here last night good selection of starters main and desserts at a relatively decent price. Service was professional and accomplished. They even managed to do us some mash that wasn’t on the menu. Would recommend pretty buzzy in there a good spot for a friends night out.

Booked a party of 20 to celebrate our son’s birthday after a recommendation. We were pleasantly greeted at the door and seated by the window just like we requested. The service was excellent and the staff was so polite and helpful. After we finished our meal, waiters brought our cake to our table and sang us a birthday song. That was the best part of the party. Ordered a takeaway, the lamb in two of our mixed shish ones were raw, I like pink lamb but this was not edible.... also forgot part of our order and once home it’s too late to go all the way back for it. The salad was small and lettuce brown was not fresh. It seems they do not care enough about takeaway which is a shame, we order more takeaway food then eating out. Will not return.

The meals for our large group were exceedingly tasty. Best lamb I have tasted in a restaurant for a long time. The service and waiters was excellent. The only downside was we were seated near to the kitchens and it was draughty when the waiters went in and out and left the door open. Otherwise a good night out.

Made a large order over the telephone for collection. I specifically said I have a dairy allergy and clarified if any dairy was added to the dishes ordered. I was advised over the phone that dishes were fine, no dairy added. Upon collection however, when we queried again if any dairy was added to the order, we were advised the rice dishes contained butter. Does this restaurant not take allergies seriously? what poor service, very unhappy with this.

Meal was average and they couldn't get us out of the restaurant quick enough after 12.00 which was disappointing given that we were there to celebrate the new year. The entertainment wasn't as good as last year and we won't be back next year.
