Ken's Kitchen in Conwy

We don't use Ken's quite as often as we did when we first moved here :) so were looking forward to a treat. We weren't disappointed ; hubby was only going to eat half as he had a late lunch - he ate the lot in one go! Prawn toast & spring roll starters, Beef curry, Szechaun beef, Singapore chow mein, salt & pepper chips and always some prawn crackers added to our orders. Delicious as always. Preorder if you want a certain time - Ken's very popular! Lovely staff too

Best Chinese takeaway in north wales! Always lovely food served with a smile… never tastes gloopy like a lot of the Chinese takeaways we’ve had before

Absolutely delicious, huge portions great value, best salt and pepper ribs ever, came here last year and decided to go again whilst on holiday from Devon, I would say one of the best chinese take aways in the uk.

Honestly the best Chinese around the food is amazing and the staff are spot on I would not go elsewhere, we look forward to our next visit.

I come to this Chinese most weeks and it’s absolutely stunning. There is not one fault. The food is always top level and a very good price for what you get. I have tried a lot of Chineses in the area but Ken’s beats the all. They are very open to collection times and the staff also lovely. They only accept cash but there are cash points located close by.

Generous portion sizes, great value for money, and full of flavour. This place ticks all the right boxes!

I thought I’d give Ken’s a try and was not disappointed , from the really busy but very helpful young lad at the counter to the lovely flavours of the food, we had a lovely generous portion of the curry special as well as a tasty chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken with fab chips , we all ,loved it , so thanks guys I’ll be returning.worth noting is how busy they were which is always a good sign.

Called in whilst on holiday, ordered our food, took approx 20 minutes, got back to motorhome, could not believe the portion sizes, they are huge, loads of meat, and the best salt and pepper ribs ever, have enough left for another night, I would highly recommend very tasty food, nicely presented

Haven't had a Chinese for a few years (been put off them) as a treat for myself and grandchildren, after reading reviews, thought we'd try Ken's Kitchen - it didn't disappoint. Freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful (be prepared for a wait, recommend - ordering about an hour before you want to eat - but honestly you will not be disappointed). Couldn't eat it all but had the rest for breakfast and tasted as good as it did the night before. You have to try it....

Fantastic food and so cheap - would highly recommend the king prawn satay, the chilli beef and the sweet and sour. Szechuan chicken was a little disappointing but everything else was fab! Go go go!

Amazing food! Salt and pepper chips were unreal, and the best I've ever had. Only downfall is you do have to collect, as they don't deliver but it is 100% worth it! Food was piping hot and portion sizes were huge! Can't wait to order again 😁

Had to wait 40 mins for order , food was average. Place was very popular so perhaps they were having anoff day with the food.

One of the best takeaway outlets locally. Consistently good quality food. Owner is always friendly and helpful. Excellent option for a good meal.

Went here for dinner one day why were on holiday the food was basic but delicious the service was fantastic and the place was spotless. Was that good we went back the day after would highly recomend this place

You can guarantee that you will always have a friendly welcome from Ken. A great choice of vegetarian food and he is able to add any of the sauces to a base of mixed vegetables.

having had food from Kens before and enjoyed it we ordered another takeaway. it was quite bland and greasey, thinking maybe it was just a off day and due to the fact we had enjoyed a meal from there before we tryed another takeaway. sorry the food was still bland and greasey/oiley also not very hot.its a shame because the owner is a nice friendly person but the food is not as good as it has been in the past.

Always greeted with a smile, which is lovely. We always seem to have the same,chicken satay and rice, it is gorgeous. Ken and staff can’t do enough to please their customers. love it here.

Ken is always pleasant and friendly. Will happily tailor a meal to your taste where possible. Excellent food and portion sizes.

Salt and pepper pork ribs were quite tough and not recommended even for free, chicken curry was poor and meat was chewy giving the impression it had been pre cooked, but sauce and fried rice good. Pineapple duck dish very authentic and tasty so would recommend this.

Easily the most consistently good takeaway I visit. Always very good with generous portions, this time it was sweet & sour chicken in batter with fried rice . Will be returning soon for more. Keep the good work up.

Our regular Chinese was shut so we thought we would try Ken’s, well let’s just say we won’t be going back to our old one. The food was excellent

I came here after reading all the rave reviews and wanted to try it out.

A friend recommended this Chinese take away and I’m very glad she did! Very friendly welcoming staff and the food was just gorgeous, quick service and very reasonable prices. A very Happy New Year was had in our house thanks to Ken’s Kitchen!!

Excellent freshly cooked food, the best in the Bay, his king prawn dishes are great and his selection of appetisers is simply the best

La comida es estupenda siempre caliente y fresco y Ken es un chico decente. Hay algunas buenas China alrededor de esta zona, pero éste está definitivamente.

Comimos aquí casi cada semana, es sin duda nuestro favorito chino jamás! ! ! Toda la comida es fresca y llena de sabor. . Y la sal. pimienta y patatas fritas son para morirse! ! ! El propietario Ken también es muy amable y hace lo imposible para hacer que nuestra comida de la manera que nos gusta :)

Last reviewed Kens in 2013, food is still consistently excellent, service superb and Ken is always pleasant and friendly.As I don't live far I am a regular customer and you always get great value for money, large portions and piping hot food.The wait at busy times just goes to prove how popular Kens is.Definitely recommend.

Been a few times now, beats all other local Chinese hands down. The food is really tasty and made quickly. Lovely friendly service too. Also really reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.

Myself and my husband regularly go to Ken,s, especially as he does cater for gluten free diet,food is always great,service is friendly.The sweet and sour chicken, which I have gluten free is really tasty,we will gladly keep coming back for more.Thanks Ken

Lovely food the first time,the second time i asked for gluten free and when i got home it wasnt,not kens fault it was the person taking the ordering.

Chinese curry is as good as any I have tried, well impressed, next time I am near Conway, it will be my port of call for takeaway, have it pinpointed on my satnav.

Absolutely fabulous food and great banter. If it's not on the menu he can do anything.. Lovely food. Try crispy shredded beef in sweet and sour sauce mmmmmmmm

My husband and I ordered our meals over the phone and collected a little later, the food was piping hot, if I had to complain my only complaint would be the size of the portions, they are big enough for two!

Decided to stop off at Ken's after the heavy traffic on the A55 had caused gridlock. We ordered 2 meals and a half of duck. Although the shop was visibly busy the order was taken with a smile. 25-30 minutes later our food was done, which was much quicker than expected. The meals are well priced and come in large portions, enough for two meals for me. As always cannot fault the place, thank you for an excellent meal and service. Would defiantly recommend.

Staff are friendly and efficient. The food is lovely and plentiful and hot. It is a very busy establishment so you might have to wait sometimes. It also has a 5 for its food hygiene rating, which is one of the reasons I first visited there. The folder for allergens is displayed on the counter which is good for anyone with food allergies. Definitely worth a visit.

I’ve used this place on a few occasions.... the food’s always been of a good standard... May have to wait a bit when busy...but that’s what happens when cooking fresh to order. Will be returning again in the future.

My sister has raved about this place to me so one evening me and hubby decided to give it a go..never again!! Food was cold, bland except for the overbearing spiciness even though I asked for mine not to be spicy. Side orders all seemed to be frozen from Iceland and thrown in a deep fryer. Won't be going out of our way to come here again!

This is a very popular takeaway which we have used many times. The food is very good as is the menu choice. Fast and friendly service too.

I come here almost weekly, you won't find a better take away. The food is always freshly prepared and piping hot, large portions and a great selection. A few favourites of mine are salt and pepper chicken, chilli and garlic chicken, beef satay, I could go on!!!

Love my Chinese from here defiantly wouldn't go anywhere else. Best Chinese around. Would recommend need and tomato with chips love it!!

The portions are VERY large, and the food is outstanding! I personally recommend the Beef Satay, Chicken Curry, Wonton Soup,Satay Skewers, and if you like mushrooms at least one local swears by them. As an American traveling to the UK, this is what Chinese is supposed to be!

Based in centre of Old Colwyn. Don't do chinese very often but this is as good as they getFantastic range on the menu including many veggie dishes available.Great prices.Food is beautiful.Would happily recommend

Ken has restored my husband and i's faith in Chinese food. The duck is so moist and very tasty (my favourite). Ken is so friendly and polite the food no matter what you have is EXCELLENT and consistent. The only fault he does not deliver. Well done Ken and staff.

Kens is always out first choice - we have never been disappointed .Food always excellent .Friendly service and having a banquet tonight as had one last month when friends came over and it was delicious .

We were staying in a holiday home in Old Colywn and having driven along the street saw two Chinese takeaways which both had great reviews on Trip Advisor but Ken's Kitchen was that bit closer so we went for it and we were not disappointed.We rang our order through for collection at 7.30, (it's by Aldi so we nipped in for a couple of bottles of wine too). Ken (we presume) was very friendly and smiley and our meal was nearly ready when we got there at 7.25. Our food was piping hot when we got it to the table, the dishes were delicious and good sized portions, and there were no leftovers!! We ordered a sweet and sour chicken, Special in Oyster sauce, Pork chow mein, Chicken chop suey and Satay chicken. All cooked to perfection.We will certainly come back for a takeaway in the future for our next holiday here. Definitely recommended :)

Good food from kens kitchen he always goes out of his way to change the dish to how you like it. The curry is very tasty. The only thing that let's it down is the fact they don't do delivery service.

Every single meal I have purchased in the last 7 years from Ken's Kitchen has been perfect. The texture and taste of the chicken when compared to other Chinese restaurants is perfect.Service is always perfect; polite and friendly. And Ken always checks if I want my hot curry. We decided to pick up a Kens take away because the delivery chinese we use was closed for chinese New Year. Man im glad we did! Fantastic i really enjoy my Beef and Cashew nuts and my wife loved her black bean beef. Great salt and pepper chips too. We will definitly order again

Absolutely lovely! Food is so tasty, always served hot, really quick and excellent value!! Their portions are also absolutely huge, so could reheat the second half the next day. Staff are always so welcoming, and I won't be going anywhere else for a Chinese soon!!

Brilliant Chinese amazing food massive portion size and always cooked fresh tasty and nice and hot only thing I could fault is a lot of people waiting on food and the phone was ringing a lot while in there waiting for our food which was a while and it wasn't being answered when we called to order there was no answer had to go down so maybe more staff ??? Never the less will always go there for my chinese

Finally found a Chinese where they are upto date with the concept of Gluten Free meals. Very helpful and the meal was gorgeous. Will def be a regular here from now on

Just finished off a takeaway from Kens. We had shredded chicken in a chilli sauce, barbecue spare ribs, portion of chips and fried rice. It was ready when I picked it up and was piping hot and fresh. Great tasting food at a reasonable price and plenty of it. Second time here and will definately go back.

Been to kens many times again my local Chinese, food always excellent and consistent and piping hot and reasonably priced. The owner is always very pleasant. One tip ring your Order through and go and collect because the food is cooked to order if you go to the shop you can be in for a very long wait especially at busy times. Would recommend to anyone
