Amazing coffee, great snacks and lovely decor. Would recommend. Wish they had more outside seating but it's amazing regardless.

The vibe is excellent; bright and lovely. The coffee is robust and flavourful; always a big plus for a discerning coffee lover. The people who work here really elevate the experience; they are kind and helpful with suggestions especially when the entire bakery section looks so appealing! Samiksha and Hannah M, in particular, were very patient and jovial when I was there on a busy Sunday morning.

Busy small cafe with lots of home made options for snacks and meals. Good quality coffee and nice prompt staff.

A busy cafe but lots of friendly staff and very welcoming with quick service. We had take out coffees and cake. Lovely drinks, perfectly made and scrummy cakes. Wide range of hot drinks and healthy foods and quality sweet treats. Very, very lovely.

Excellent food but be warned, when they say crispy bacon they really mean it, cremated might be a more accurate description.

More expensive and smaller cups of coffee with a very light flavour. Very bad desserts. Wobbly tables, noisy environment. Terrible service. Just now I was driven away just because I didn't go on to order a third drink when I hadn't even stayed the full three hours. I don't want to make accusations of racism here based on my experience of being treated differently, but I do sense it in the attitudes of white assistants.

Seldom eat here as I've always found the staff to be distant and somewhat aloof, and it's always a wait for a table, which I never do. Food is good so I usually just buy to go.

Great atmosphere, fantastic selection of cakes and sweet treats, and lovely lunch menu. Staff are friendly and service is personable and efficient. There was a short wait for a table to become available, but staff were accommodating and efficient with organising space. The rare beef sandwich was well made, using fresh bread and delicious beef. The parsnip and carrot cake was excellent.

Great service and very nice food. It’s very busy on Saturdays and Sundays so be prepared to wait for a table. Lovely breakfasts and lunches but a few but not lots of veggie choices. Well worth a visit.

Foods good, always busy. Staff always very pleasant.

The coffee and atmosphere here was great. For breakfast, we ordered the beans and the mushrooms on toast. The bread was unpleasantly soggy but the flavours were good. Service felt very rushed. The staff were friendly, though, and probably just conscious of the people waiting to be seated.

First class customer service and the food was of a high standard and tasted great - I was lucky enough to get a seat after a brief wait on the mezzanine floor which I benefited from

Not one normally to write a review but had a really lovely breakfast here this morning. As an Aussie travelling the UK I've been missing an Aussie brunch but at Kember & Jones I was able to get some amazing avocado toast and a nice coffee. Would definitely recommend to others - the other menu items and display case full of cakes looked great too.

Always busy, great food, really nice coffee and amazing cakes. This place is well worth a visit if you can get a table. Don't forget to check out the specials.

Coffee is nice but the staff at the counter could be friendlier and more attentive. The cakes are also a bit too sweet. Had the walnut cake but it was so overly sweet that I could not even finish it.

This is a unique, quirky place with a great atmosphere/vibe. A must if you're visiting Byres Road and even if you're not. The food is delicious and the cakes, pastries, meringues ( loaded with cream and fresh berries ) are to die for. Have you tried the bacon rolls??? It's the only time my friend and I don't talk lol! Bit of advice....... check the closing times. K&J is not open in the evenings and it would be a huge disappointment to get there and not get the opportunity to embrace!

The dessert show is full of insects. The restaurant need to be care with cleaning.

Coffee was lukewarm. Toast was burnt. Sourdough nice but crust very hard and knives not suitable to cut it. Eggs were nice. Bacon was not very nice, roll was fresh but very dry (there was no butter). The worst was the brown sauce which had a horrible ‘perfumey’ taste…didn’t taste like real HP. Expensive and not good value for money overall. Sorry, we read the great reviews but were disappointed. Shame as the atmosphere was nice and the place looked promising.

Such a cute brunch spot, we’ve stopped in a few times while in town, and I’m dying to go back for more. The avocado toast is amazing. The waffle hits the spot for breakfast or a sweet treat. All their coffee comes out hot and timely. This is a must stop shop when in town!

Repas très frais et bon. Salades extras, planches avec des ingrédients variés au choix pour les enfants, gauffres au Nutella à la demande, serveuses très gentilles. Petit inconvénient : bruyant à l'heure de pointe mais ça vaut vraiment le coup de manger ici. Pain vraiment excellent!

Great place for good coffee and brunch options

Has been on my list of places to try for some time now and decided to head along for breakfast. Place was busy as it usually seems to be, girl who attended to us was rather gloomy and handed my partner and I two menus and simply said there's a table upstairs... Coffee was nice enough, food was very average though. Scrambled eggs tasted microwaved, spongy and bland, added on smoked salmon which was a couple of slithers which wasn't the best quality. My partners avocado and halloumi was pleasant enough without being anything more. Cakes looked good, maybe try them next time with a sandwich perhaps, maybe that's more of their forte.

Such good quality salmon, avocado, and quantity of scrambled eggs, made me worry these folk will go out of business, if they don’t go from « way overboard » back down to « just plenty, thank you! » The espresso is also the best around. Pretty sure the cakes will be knockouts, when I come back again, some day. Looking forward to it!

Went here with a friend for brunch. I arrived about 15-20 minutes after my friend, so it was nice that we’re weren’t rushed to order after I finally arrived. The food was stunning and same with the coffee. I definitely recommend going here if you’re close by!

Good food & good service. Ignore the negative comments from the Karens, it's a popular place so obviously it's going to be busy.

Went in here for breakfast and got Waffles with Bacon and the Baked Beans on sourdough. The waffles turned out to be waffle, singular but with an insane amount of bacon. The beans were too sweet and under seasoned and again with a huge amount of bacon. I think for the folk that like a ton of bacon it would be great but they were just really unbalanced dishes. We were up on the mezzanine floor and it was also very loud up there, hard to hold a conversation with speaking up, which is probably why it's so loud. All in all its fine, good if you like that sort of thing but if you're look for a more refined breakfast I'd maybe look elsewhere.

Food looked delicious, however the staff were extremely ignorant, 2 standing talking as one looked on, as we were standing at the counter to be served,(wouldn't mind if they had said they would be with us in a few minutes) but getting completely ignored, we left!

Coffee was watery & burnt tasting, service very slow and just not worth the money. Sat and watched tables that arrived after us get served before us. Just dissapointing.

Great wee byres Road eatery, ticks all the west end boxes and then some. Foods top drawer though and staff are lovely jubilee. With quality comes price. Be prepared! You should defonvisit at least once make yer own mind up.

After visiting Glasgow University we came across Kember & Jones which was great spot for lunch. Waited 15 minutes for a table but it was worth it! We had the the smoke salmon scrambled eggs and pastrami sandwich were both so fresh and tasty. A must if you’re in the area.

Nice little place to get some really good coffee. Atmosphere's great and the food is good as well. But my favorite thing is The baked meringue! It is unbelievably delicious!

This place gets busy but for good reason! The food is delicious and the staff was very friendly. I have been here when there has been no wait but I have never waited more than twenty or so minutes for a table of one when it has been busy. The service is usually very quick and once again the staff is amazing.

Visit this morning for breakfast after staying in Glasgow for the night, didn’t fancy the usual heavy fried hotel breakfast so gave here a go and was not disappointed. Warm waffle with yogurt and fruit isn’t the kind of breakfast I’d usually go for but will definitely be returning on the next trip to Glasgow and highly recommended. We even bought cakes to take away Staff and atmosphere were great, service and food arrived quickly and with a smile

Best cakes in town...! Actually, the only game in town.

K&J always holds a special place in our heart. We don’t live in Glasgow so every time we are in the city, we make sure we stop by as often as we can before we leave again. Love their ambient and the extremely wide varieties of bread and pastries. And their soups with the delicious cheese scone just hit the spot every single time. Staffs are always attentive and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back again!

Forget it if you are a party of four. We waited 35 minutes for a table while those arriving after us managed to be seated. It made no sense as there were tables that became available and could have been joined together to allow four people to sit. Shows no respect to those waiting to try out the place. This needs to improve because the food looks tasty and it’s bad business to be a terrible host!

Nous avons dû attendre un peu pour obtenir une table en semaine début novembre mais ça valait le coup! Les produits sont frais, les assiettes généreuses et bien présentées. Un régal pour les yeux comme les papilles. Le scone au fromage est cependant un peu sec mais il y a pleins d'autres choses à tester !

Food is lovely, however there are many issues with the waiting system and staff. I stood waiting in an exceptionally disorganised queue that was so long it was outside the door. Waited for 45 minutes (ridiculous) with no indication of how long the wait would be. When we were finally seated we were absolutely starving and extremely thirsty. We were handed the menus and decided what we wanted with in about 30 seconds. The table next to us who was seated after us got to order first, not only that but by the time we were actually served they had their drinks and cakes etc!! It took over 20 minutes after a ridiculous 45 minute wait to even be served. Kember food is great but there are fundamental flaws. They need a second location or need to move to a bigger premises AND improve service.

Had to wait a little for a table but understandable given the time we went. They also had a polite sign up asking people not to use laptops so they were clearly doing their best to serve as many people as possible. Service was quick enough given how busy it was and both the coffee and pastries were fantastic. My only regret is that we were only in Glasgow for the day so could only visit once!

Tasty selection of desserts and cakes as always

It's a very busy cafe but worth the short wait for my first visit today (Sunday mid-day). The coffee was excellent and so was the banana bread that I had. You could tell the staff were working very hard and it was nice to see the baking etc going on just below me. Worth the visit and would definitely visit again!

Awesome Hot Chocolate and great ambience. Being one of the busiest cafes in West End, it's hard to get a table during rush hours.

We came here twice during a week. I really in love with the vibes and everything especially the most delicious food. The staff were excellent at every visit. I will come back again for sure. It's important to mention that, the waitress added something we didn't want to the receipt by mistake. We asked her about it. She smoothly corrected the total and said sorry for that. I would thank her so much.

Breakfasted here today, my usual being unaccountably closed until later. K&J is not cheap but you do get the quality. My avocado mash on sourdough was juicy and nicely seasoned. The ambiance buzzes and the staff are friendly. A nice range of dishes and drinks. I'll come back for lunch one day to try their choice of wines.

Excellent Lapsang Souchong leaf tea and home made cakes.

Good coffee and bakery. The mint tea was the best I've evert tried! However, I didn't really like the Spanish tomatoes since it was a bit too salty and not to my taste. The real pickle I had this place was they told me I had overstayed right after I had ordered another cup of tea, so I had to uncomfortably down the cup I would've liked to take my time sipping. Its ok if you want me to leave, just don't take my money first.

This used to be one of my favourite spots for brunch on the west end but after their reopening due to covid I am disappointed. They changed the menu to very basic options, with tiny portions and still the same prices as before. Went with a few friends so we got to try a few of the limited options and all of them were quite disappointing, especially considering the service that was provided prior to the pandemic. Their coffee and bakery section is still very good, although I cannot recommend it for anything else, explaining the 2 stars.

Tasty chai latte and breakfast available. And so much choice for baked goods! Note you can't stay for long hours
