Kebabish in East Renfrewshire

Food quality really bad, we have ordered twice from them never again , curry was not even cooked properly, meet was so tough and nan bread was burnt

First time trying and didn’t disappoint. Got the special mixed grill (so tasty) cabbage salad wasn’t acidic and lovely nice bite to it and good flavour. Carnivore loaded fries my partner wiped. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. I was given popadoms/onions on departure and I’m a popadom snob always rating them various places, lovely taste, crisp and no taste of used oil .. onions also tasty …. Defo my new go to place when I’m in this neck of the woods

Ordered a chicken kebab and children’s curry and it’s usually really good but this time the curry was cold and the chicken undercooked. Spoke to the team via the app and advised they’d do nothing but give me 20% off the next order. There won’t be another order.

Ordered Doner kebab and chips and cheese, doner meat was stale, hard and thick, chips and cheese was alright but nothing special, waste of money

Updated September- pizzas used to be decent, thought will try them again after many months and I have concluded after my last experience the standards have fallen too low, won’t ever be ordering from here again, moving this from 3 stars to 1 star now Pizzas are tasty enough but the pizzas don’t tend to have enough meat on them so not worth the price, donner kebabs are decent too, that’s all I’ve tried here, customer service is a bit hit and miss at times,

Donner kabab’s meat was not real meat, just a processed type of mixed staff, I felt guilty of my self having a few bites, what a waste of money !

Hands down the best Indian food we have ever had (and we are foodies) we ordered a chicken karahi. It’s full of spice and flavour and we have tried some of the most popular Indian restaurants in Glasgow. We also got a chicken korma, again packed full of flavour and just because it was mild it definitely was not bland. The veg and chicken pakora was so crispy and had a great amount of chicken rather being disguised with just batter. The peshwari and garlic nans were beautiful. Gorgeous char on then but not too much that it tasted burnt. The rice is the most fluffy and flavoursome rice, we have never tried rice like it. Overall a 10/10.

Over an hour for delivery , food arrives Cold , and when we phone to complain chap on the the phone asks “ as in cold “ was it frozen . Absolutely disgusting will never order again and advise all not too

Been a few times recently and the quality has been good, not great but certainly nothing to complain about. Delivery always seems to take quite a while but again nothing too bad. Tonight however on calling to place an order I had a simple question to ask first. What are the sizes of the munchie boxes, as in by inches being that they are always in a pizza box. I was told the large one is bigger than the regular........no s£#t Sherlock. When I tried to get some more clarity I got even less. Finally I decided to just go ahead with the order to be told after I had passed it that they had no drivers so I would have to come collect. I'll give a 2 star rating based on previous orders but after tonight's effort I'll not be back anytime soon. Staff not doing the business any favours and reading other reviews it may be a regular problem.

Absolutely shocking service gave them benefit of the doubt and tried reordering after a long time had stopped ordering because of timing issues, nothing has changed 1.5 hours on a Thursday night is shocking and food was cold as well avoid at all costs there is a better alternative at the top of aur road or on Giffnock. Rude staff member and expensive prices

I went into the shop and ordered a donner calzone at £6.90 , the bald staff member said it was £8.50 due to price changes although advertised differently on menu and digital screens. I accepted that this was the case but after also checking just eat prices which were marked at £7.30. I now know that this person is clearly just pocketing extra money as he works this person will be doing this to multiple people throughout the day to fatten his pockets.

I’ve eaten from kebabish on multiple occasions over the years and have always been good. I for the first time visited the shop in Newton mearns and was spoken to by the small rotund bald man like I was sub human. Not once not twice but 4 times. I had to walk out of the shop. I won’t be back and neither will anyone in my family.

Ordered chicken pakora, lamb Khari. The chicken pakora was awful reheat chicken so dry and chewy. When I ordered I even asked them to make it desi and spicy as am Asian however the lamb Khari was disgusting more of a curry sauce slapped up, very disappointed will defo not be coming back here and do not recommend absolute waste of money

Wasted my money and wasted my time. I ordered and was disgusted with the smelly food. I agree with the other reviewers who had the same experience. I will not be ordering again. Stay away from this place, certainly not a chef who prepared the so called food, no hygiene standards, sickened I went here, very bad.

Had to change the order as they were out of main ingredient for my first order . 2nd order was mince samosa salad but after waiting for over 45 mins got vegetable samosa and still got charged with the price of 1st order :( not the greatest experience

The food is not good, it smells, I don't know because of the weather (summer time) or because the food was old, most of the food goes into the bin. The food was very spicy, and there is no option in the menu to reduce the spacy degree and choose medium for instance. The nans are almost burnt or overcooked. Never order again, I don't recommend.

Placed an order and it didn't arrive. My account was charged and I had a whole lot of hassle pursuing a refund, not to mention having to outlay more money - and time - to order somewhere else. Save yourself the bother.

Ordered a (walk-in) large doner kebab. Meat was tepid and sauce was a slimy mint-flavoured gunk. Not a good experience. Delivery driver came in with no face protection or keeping social distancing.

Ordered through their website and told it would be 45 mins. Called them after 45 mins and they hadn't even started it. Tried to blame just eat, called them again and completely lied about how long it would be. Over an hour late.

Called in to place an order and to collect it, was told by the rude staff that they were too busy for walk ins and I'd have to order for delivery, stating that it would be over an hours wait, needless to say I never ordered from them and will never do so again, ordered from a nearby competitor who'f food was much nicer and were quite happy for me to collect my order, this Kebab shop seems to have hit the self destruct button in terms of Customer Service during Covid-19, they won't last much longer with attitudes like that.

Don't order from Kebabish on the Ayr road newton mearns. My mum got a munchy box She couldn't eat any of it. Was disgusting :( Very disappointing as was our first time ordering from the place & won't be back. I phoned them up (Never phoned to complain ever to any takeaway) Food was reheated more than twice by the texture/look of it . They didn't even apologise on the phone & didn't even answer actually when I phoned with my number. They only answered when I withheld my number 🤔 Me & my son got a meal for 2 they forgot the spiced onions, the curries were ok but cheap chicken. Won't order from them again Total waste of money, disappointing and waste of food.

I ordered my food and he dropped the bread on the floor, then he tried to pick it up again and serve me with it, he is a big chatter.I will never be back again never ever ....

The quality of the food from this place is just great. I like the BBQ chicken kebab. Beautifully marinated chicken with peppers and onions BBQ grilled on a charcoal grill. Loads of salad on a big naan bread with cheese. My favorite take-away. Lots of veggie options and a huge range to choose from on the menu. We normally pick-up from the shop and it's generally really quick. Sometimes busy for delivery at peak times but that's not unexpected.

Food is good quality and very tasty but delivery let's this place down big time. Ordered a few months ago and it took over 2 hours to arrive but felt I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a Saturday night. Tried them again last night, ordered at 9:30 via just eat and order didnt arrive till 10:52. Might not sound long but well over an hour for a just a basic munchie box on a Tuesday night is very poor, the food was lovely and absolutely roasting when it arrived so no complaints there it's just the delivery that's letting it down.

Despite the name, their kebabs are hit and miss. Sometimes they arrive kind of soggy and the chicken can be tough, and other times they’re out of this world. But don’t bother adding any particular preferences for your order because they’ll most likely be ignored.

This was the worst experience of service I have ever experienced. The staff were shockingly rude and the pizza dough was thicc and the sauce tasted like glue. not happy.

Order took a long time (30 mins) for preparation, and was missing napkins, tissues and sauce was covering all the plastic bag.

Kebabish is one of the best Indian take outs in Glasgow. If you want to sample their food go for the Thursday tapas deals which lets you try 3 dishes with a nan bread and a salad for £9.99! Absolutely superb TG

Pedí un plato de pollo tikka kebab (en un nan) y un curry de papa y coliflor. Fue absolutamente perfecto. El curry de patata y coliflor era muy sabroso y no salsa de curry descuidado con verduras heladas como en algunos lugares. Definitivamente recomendaría el lugar. El personal también era encantador a pesar de que soy bastante exigente.

My favourite place in southside Glasgow ....authentic food with fantastic service. Curries and pizzas are the specialty. The kebabs are well cooked and succulent and properly marinated. If you are passing through it's certainly worth the stop.

Disfrutar completamente de la comida en Kebabish. He comido aquí muchas veces y nunca me ha decepcionado. ¡Hay una gran variedad de platos para elegir! La comida siempre es fresca y acaba de salir del horno. Los bhajis y pakoras de cebolla son crujientes y no grasosos, como en algunos platos para llevar. Me encantan las ensaladas y las salsas frescas. Lo recomiendo!

It’s good food consistently. I’ve been about 6 times now and the kebabs and curries definitely worth a try. My fav are the Pizzas. They do good desserts which is unusual for a take away and the best is... it’s can be all delivered. I’ll be going back !!

Usually I don't really bother with reviews of take away joints, mainly because I never have high expectations, this one however has been so bad on two occasions I've decided to do a quick one. We have ordered twice via the web, once from just eat and another via their own site. Both occasions resulted in incorrect orders. The first time they didn't put the chips and cheese in the mixed twisted hoggie wrap. Second time no chips, cheese or salad in the same wrap and salad missing from the burger, also to top things off they forgot to add the drinks to the order. Luckily this time we checked before leaving and when we said the order was incorrect the answer was that it must be us making the error...eh no don't think so. It gets better, after them bringing the now fixed order out we left. Guess what....still wrong, still no salad! If you order anything from this place check it before you leave, I can almost guarantee it'll be wrong in some way. Utter shambles.

Very poor service. Have previously ordered a set meal and did not receive Gulab Jaman - also chicken tikka Karahi was not tikka. It was no biggy but when we ordered again - advised had not received desert with last order and that chicken was not tikka. Was assured this would be resolved and that would receive extra dessert this time. So far so good. Until my wife started to eat her curry which was loaded with green chillies to the extent it was basically inedible. Called to advise on the curry and was told we had ordered desi style (we had not) in fact on the previous order we had been offered desi style and declined. Told this was the way the curry was always made and that 'our customers' like it and dealt with extremely dismissively. Previous complaint was also brought up. My wife had previously enjoyed the Karai curry twice before and this was 100% different from before. I was disappointed with the garlic chilli chicken curry. In summary - the kebabs are very good - curries are hit and miss - service is 0/10. Will NEVER use this takeaway again under current management.

Appalling service. The manager is very rude and threatening. We ordered food and it came late then when it came one order was completely wrong. My sister phoned to complain and he argued with her and threatened her saying he wouldn't refund her order or send a replacement. I then phoned to resolve the issue as my sister was upset and the manager threatened me also and gave me attitude while I tried to be patient and calmly resolve the problem. He stated we weren't listening to him and that he refuses to ever serve this household again baring in mind my sister is only here for a visit. I asked him why he is shouting at me like that and he justified his attitude and aggression by stating I'm from the same household so I must be as horrible as my sister. That was ridiculous he did not give me a chance as a different customer and lumped me into a group of people he hates even though all I did was try to resolve the issue. The manager is incredibly rude and really needs to sort his attitude and anger out. I will not be treated like that especially when all I tried to do was listen and help

should be no star, i am first time. orders a pizza , i never eat a pizza like this as i felt like eating raw dow bcz half cooked. when i called return pizza then told me to pizza was fine & take this cold pizza and no money return. very rude with me abused. Food is always superb. Not many places that get it right....this is one of them. Food is reasonably priced and can be delivered. Staff attitudes and service is second to none. Definetly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Best food in the Mearns never disappointing although you need to get your order in quick at the weekends before it gets busy.

Charged £10.80 for two large donner kebabs, should have been £8.60. When challenged said it was because I wanted sauce separate. No apology so have lost a good customer-shame

Has always been a good Indian takeaway, now even better! Recently redecorated premises and new recipes.

Ordered food at roughly 17:45 didn't turn up until 19:10 then when it did turn up we opened up the order and the chicken tikka hoagie we ordered didnt come with a wrap and to make matters worse - all the food was cold, there was the slightest heat in it. They may aswell call themselves Greggs!! So i called up the shop and explained I didnt have te wrap in the hoagie and they told me thats not what a hoagie is! Well ive been eating hoagies for years and i can assure you that it is. I would not reccomend this place to anyone at all.

We will never order from kebabish again.

Food ordered - 16:36 Food arrived - 19:02 A pizza and 1 cheese naan doesn't feel like it should take 2 and a half hours to prepare and deliver. I was phoned, being told that the delivery driver had arrived previously but had no answer. We were all in front room with enormous window, he'd have seen us and we'd have seen him. Just felt like a lie to excuse the delays.
