Kebab Kidz in Oxford

Maybe dining-in is a different story but the kebabs we were delivered were just plain sad. Took more than an hour to arrive on a Thursday night despite only being a mile and a half away. Ordered two lamb doners & were sent chicken doners (or possibly just terrible quality meat?) which were grey, cold and clearly didn't have any time by the grill. Handful of salad, squirt of mayo and that was it. No pickled chillies or pickled veg. Such a sad excuse for a kebab. Why bother calling yourself Kebab Kid if you can't bother putting any effort into the main dish? It's not like it's a hard meal to make nice. Bodrum do a much better kebab, save yourself from the sadness & go there instead.

Very good and friendly staff, specially SHAHEEN, he is very welcoming and friendly with his best customer service skills.

Highly underrated place, great wraps especially with combo deal. Paneer wrap is the best thing to try for vegetarians.

We got kebab naan and chips for £10 GOOD value and was fresh

Since change of staff, food and service has taken a down spiral.

Literally the worst kebab I've ever had, took an hour and was stone cold, clearly cold before it left the shop as the cheese wasn't even slightly melted. Terrible never again. I'm not the type to leave a review but this was honestly diabolical

It needs a lot of tlc. More importantly, the staff NEED to work on their hygiene and the way they handle food. The individual who made up the wraps and burgers clearly had a cut on his finger, and his hands did not look clean.Clean gloves and, of course, washed hands would have made a big difference. Any food service has to be done carefully. The food was OK, and the outlet itself could do with through clean.

Peri peri chicken and the lamb/chicken curries are the best thing to eat there also nan is made fresh

This is the second time I am getting a wrong order. I ordered Chicken Kebab with chips and got extra chips. I got Chicken kebab with Nan and chips. I don’t like Nan and don’t eat it. The first time it was them giving me Chicken Donner instead of a Kebab. I am so PISSED!!

They used to do the best Kebab in Oxford in my opinion, but what I had in the last time was a bit up and down in terms of quality ! I had a Piri Piri wrap which had tons mayo of inside .. which made the wrap a bit awful ! I also had a kebab but the naan was rock solid because was probably premade.. back in the days they use to make the naan fresh ! A bit disappointed in the last time 🙄

Tasty food, good portion, and lots of sauce - not stingy unlike some places. We ordered 5pc wings & chips meal and mixed doner kebab meal.

Poor Service. Waited 1 hour and did not received order. Called them and then only can hear the justifications in non friendly manner and finally staff cut the call by saying call just eat and not us. Worst service ever by pathetic staff

Worst kebab had put chilli sauce on all the items i ordered. Got order wrong could not cope with the amount of people that came in as only one person could speak english

Have just gone and got dinner for the family, which is a usual Saturday night dinner for us from kebab kid. unsure if it’s under new management or there is new staff but food wasn’t great, chips was cold, loads of old burnt chips mixed in with what I assume was fresh cooked chips that had been left to go cold, and salad was soggy/shrivelled up, the burger bun was soggy like it had been dipped in water and to top it off the boxes wasn’t closed properly when put into the carrier bag so the food was loose in the bottom of the bag. Unfortunately won’t be going back after this.

food is awesome always get the wings extra spicy. there is one staff who is very unfriendly and always gives very little. but there's the one skinnier taller dude who is super fun happy and happy to fill everyone's food up. joyfully!

Excellent service. Made a large(ish) order but unfortunately, the lamb tikka was not available, so I had a phone call from Abaz to let us know. As there was a price difference, they owed me £3.50. I was advised they would refund me when the food was delivered. Unfortunately the driver (Imran) did not have any cash so I did not get the refund. Fast forward to about an hour or so later, Imran knocked on our door with my refund! In all honesty I did not expect that so he really did go above and beyond. Thank you to Abaz and Imran for the excellent customer service & going above and beyond which exceeded my expectations and tasty food as always! 🙂

Amazing food the lamb and chicken was incredible I apologise as I thought they had forgot my dips and called them and and I was upset They had NOT forgotten my sauce or my food I miss placed the box and was in the wrong I’m really sorry for the confusion

Staff was very rude and food was expensive.

A polite service while ordering over the phone, quick and easy delivery. Came with 25mins instead of 50mins. The food was also excellent!!! All fresh and well cooked and tasty.

The best thing about kebab kid is their naan which is a great base for a kebab but unfortunately the meat quality is poor,I doesn't seem to be very fresh and the place is filthy tbh on the customer side I don't think it's been cleaned in years. The peri peri chicken used to rival Nandos if not better but isn't what it once was and it's proper expensive. Walk up to Bodrum for a better all round experience

Staff are rude. Gave me attitude because i asked for the cheese to be melted on my cheesy chips. He asked “how am i meant to do that?” You tell me man you’re the one who’s meant to be working in a kebab shop.

Avoid at all cost! The staff didnt offer/provide good service. we went around 10:50 pm initially to take away order but decided to dine in instead and the man at counter said by law he is not able to provide us plates for dine in even though the facility has a toilet. only one plate provided after arguing. The next thing is that we dined in 06 people but the amount of salad/ Mint yogurt was as little as it could be just for one person in the beginning. Counted 06 napkins and counted 06 plastic spoons provided. No extras not even a single spoon or atleast Napkins number could be improved. Upon complaint Non Apologetic behavior by staff member and infact started arguing that we should have asked for more salad/napkins if we wanted like we were beggars there. Avoid at all cost. You have let me and my friends down. Never coming again to dine in.

Ordered for delivery. Mixed kebab and chips cheese and beans. Chips were awful, cold not cooked and no beans. Kebab had onions when I didn't tick onions on the list. Kebab box had spilled out in the bag and was also cold and had a piece of wood in I nearly choked on. I called to say why onions and why no beans to be fobbed off completely very disappointed with this used to like kebab kid. Will not be using again.

I bought a chicken wrap from them, price was good and staff were friendly but the first bite I had chicken bone or Chicken cartilage in my mouth, I said ok maybe is a mistake then second bite a I had a bigger one and third bite another one, I couldn't even finish my wrap and had to throw it away, usually should be chicken breast or thighs but all I had was Chicken cartilage or bones

They don't deserve a single star. the kebab was burned and nan was not cooked properly. The burger was tasteless and owner was bragging about we have best kebab in the uk. Don't waste your money.

Aweful food , over priced and very tasteless. peri peri berger was very dry. Naan was undercooked and chicken tikka was burnt . On the top of that old man who claimed to be owner of restaurant was misleading by saying he has got one of the best chefs in UK . filthy sitting area and disgusting toilet . Never again cos they are still kids as their name says Kebab Kid :( Nandos is just down the road if you want quality grilled chicken .

Imagine an ICBM hitting your food ... Yeah that's what this place is like. You have to wait ages for your food, and then you have to remind them that you ordered it 😡. I asked them what they would think if an ICMB hit their food, and they said they wouldn't be able to tell the difference... Their food barely looks like food, be warned!

They made me wait 20 mins because they forgot about the food on the grill, and then tried to serve me the most burnt meal I’ve ever seen. 0 stars if I could.

Not a fan that the grilled chicken used to be a medium sized one but now its a small chicken. Fair enough price is reduced but if your oven is strong enough to cook a medium chicken than u should go for a medium chicken. I unknowgly got a Small chicken today that half of it was bones and im happy to pay extra for the medium sized chicken but certainly not returning for the small one as this can be cooked easily in my home. Moreover, garlic sauce is basically smelling garlic but taste of mayo only (could do with few coves of fresh garlic in that blender). Chicken tasted really nice and juicy.

A very bad experience which never happened with any other restaurants to date...The food arrived after 1:20 mins and it was delivered too cold...staff was too bad and the response from them was too bad when I'm trying to reach them and check about the update on the delivery.

Got a chicken burger a lamb kebab wrap a lamb kebab and a naan bread it was all cold not luke warm but stone cold As a chef by trade I am highly disappointed but this service Will not be going back hear anytime soon

Where is route driver I order fish masala chicken grill and they said 45 one hour encumbered my delivery one and a 45 minute driver call me come down I’m not gonna come upstairs absolutely road driver I cool restaurant and they said we send you fresh 45 minute I’m not gonna acceptable accept Uber

Used to have the best doner meat ever. But the last 2 times its tasted disgusting and so hard and dry it leaves a horrible taste in your mouth! Not sure what's happened or if they've changed owner but gone downhill massively.

Ordered through just eat and had a message saying food was on its way 20 minutes ago. Just phoned kebab kid and was told not to worry as driver had broken down but he would still deliver our food..... Haven't received our food still, won't order again, customer survice is 👎🏼

How times have changed. From being the go to place in Oxford to now being the one the lowest ranked place. Money shouldn't make you want to loose customers. Business 101 busy place should thrive on building bigger more places spreadingthe quality and love. Instead the owners have a different philosophy bikes spinning let it spin. Such a shame as I have some really good memories there with friends.

To be honest the food is of very ordinary quality and very poorly presented - does not taste fresh and I do NOT NOT NOT recommend the donor kebab !!!!

Is this the worst takeaway in Oxford? Yes it is. Rude staff who barely understand English or understand your order so they make it wrong. Aggressive too in that they will chuck your meal if you question why it’s taking so long and why multiple people who have come after you are served first. None of know what customer service is, they need to know we are the customers paying them our hard earned money, not the other way round. Incredibly rude and disorganised, lazy staff. Oh and a small meal with barely any chips for £7? Joke. No wonder they have so many one star reviews.

Kebab Kid has to be my favorite fast food restaurant in Oxford. Very tasty meals-Their chicken is the best I've had in my 5 months of being in Oxford. Takes just a few minutes to get ready and very importantly- very affordable. With £7.50 you can eat to your feel. Good customer service as well. Absolutely recommend

Extremely poor service. Ordered from here at 7pm, order arrived at 9 after we phoned the store to ask why the order hadn't turned up after we were told it should be with us by 8 at the latest, food arrived cold and the orders were completely wrong. Driver told us that we were to blame and refused to even apologise. Will not order from here again as it seems they can't get the staff to do the job right

Ordered via Just Eat. Waited over 2 hours. Claimed they tried to deliver 3 times I was at home the whole time. Told me I was lying that I was at home and hung up on me several times, EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone. Very poor service and now struggling to get refund from Just Eat now

The order arrived 1h 20 min after the order was made. it arrived 20min past the maximum expected delivery time and the worst thing was that the restaurant was fine with it.

I was used to come here to have a chicken doner and its always very good food but just yesterday I tried the lamb doner and I was a bit frustrated. I will come back definitely for the chicken one and I recommend it. Staff very nice!

Go to the KFC nextdoor instead. Honestly, really bad. It used to be a 3, but i could tolerate it. Not anymore, it went downhill quite drastically over 2020 and 2022. Quite expensive and not very good. 6.50 for a tiny strip of meat with a few chips. It used to be acceptable, but not anymore. You'd be better served getting something from the KFC next door. I've had cold food more than I'd like to admit, they've been out of salad and sauces more frequently than not. It's really disapointing and I've been holding out on writing a bad review. But I needed it this time and i'm extremely disapointed. I literally wrote this review specifically because it was that bad. The few reviews I've written have been good. This is the opposite.

Yesterday I ordered 1 chicken burger meal, half chicken meal and fish meal. Chicken was dry, fish was nasty. Very disappointed, waste of £21

Very poor hygiene went to this shop I seen one of the staff picking his nose while preparing the food he doesn't even wash his hand after picking his nose luckily it was not my food that he was preparing. The staff are so rude as well.

Good food but worst customer service shouting at customers and not at all listening to customers, when customers ask for sauce or salad they will give a different face reaction. I desperately wants to someone make a competitive restaurant next to them then they will know what is customer service.

The staff are nice people and service was quite fast, we didn't have to wait too long before our food was ready even though it was very busy inside. They also take card payments which came in handy. Downsides are that the tables were all very dirty from previous customers but no one had gone round to check or clean these up even though there were like five members of staff behind the counter. Then the food itself, was really bad quality. Chips tasted fake and their ketchup was like plastic. The donner Kebab is not normal Kebab, they must buy from a really cheap supplier - it had weird texture and tasted like Pakistani/Indian spices had been mixed in, nor the authentic Turkish flavour I expected. Grilled chicken was okay, not great.

absolutely the worse business ever. Late delivery, cold delivery and when I questioned the driver and asked him to take it back it he through it on my driveway. Phoned to complain and they blame me for putting the food on the floor. Reporting to Food Standards Agency and Trading Standards...Attitude of staff is disgusting. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid
