This small pizzeria is the new name of the on-site cafe at Alpaca Annie experience ar Haguelands Farm Burmarsh. There is a reasonably priced menu for eat-in or takeaway food which is essentially pizza based. Staff is friendly and service efficient.. We'll worth a visit after walking with the Alpacas.

I arranged a birthday meal for my son's 5th birthday at Kate's and couldn't have been happier. We live abroad so finding somewhere suitable for lunch with friends and family after a birthday treat could have been very hard. I found Kate's on Tripadvisor and contacted her on facebook to see if she would be open during the period between Christmas and New Year. Kate was brilliant from beginning to end. She offered various options in terms of ordering off the menu or putting together something special for us. We opted for afternoon tea for the adults, while the kids chose from the kids menu. The food was delicious. The children tucked into sausages and hash browns, which they wolfed down. While us adults were served the most amazing afternoon tea. Generously filled finger sandwiches, delicious sausage rolls, scones that were as light as air and seriously delicious cakes. My sister, who's a vegan, was also able to enjoy her own specially prepared selection of vegan sandwiches and cakes. And we took several 'doggy bags' home with us too. It was the perfect place to meet up with friends and family and enjoy a wonderful meal together. We'll definitely return again when we're visiting family in the area.

Heading out for breakfast on Christmas Eve we surprised to find the Cafe's in Dymchurch were closed, but luckily The Bistro wasn't and served up a great full English breakfast, with toast and coffee. Well presented, and cooked using good quality ingredients, we enjoyed it so much we took friends a few days later and visited again last weekend, this time I enjoyed the Scrambled Eggs and Smoked Salmon. There is also a regularly changing lunch menu, which although not yet sampled always look very good. The premises are well maintained, clean and spacious and you can relax, read a magazine and watch the wildlife whilst you enjoy some great food.

However, I could not let our latest visit go without a mention. Having had coffee and cake we stayed for lunch. My wife had fish cakes which she enjoyed. I had the most fantastic 'Steak & Ale' pie. It was a proper pie with short crust pastry. It was one of those meals that tastes so good you do not want it to finish. Well done Kate. I know I told you how good it was before we left. Found this little beauty by accident after a quick drive through the marsh, decided to try it and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service throughout our visit, friendly and certainly young children friendly. I had the lamb and feta burger and my partner had the quiche of the day. We ordered a sandwich off the main menu for our 13 month old daughter and the team were happy to do a small more child friendly version for her. The sandwich came out first as the staff could see Ella was getting a little grumpy and this quickly kept her occupied. The mains were superb, the food certainly has a home made feel about it. We had a cake slice each as they looked how they tasted - brilliant! This place is a credit to Kate and the team. Thank you.

My wife and I went again for lunch today. Sunday roast £8:95p. The choice today was Topside of beef & Turkey breast. Only one word can describe the food 'Excellent'. We are regular visitors to The Bistro, normally coffee with friends mid week or Sunday lunch. From my previous comments on trip advisor people will know that my wife and I eat out regularly and I have to say that for service and value for money you won't beat the Bistro. I almost forgot they sell eggs as well. There is a very comprehensive menu on the chalk board and a snacks menu on the tables, both catering for most tastes. In addition you have other attractions within the confines of the farm complex. A 'Maize Maze' and 'Alpaca Trekking' which is great for the family or children.

We popped in there while the rest of the family were doing the alpaca walk. We both had a lovely croissant then my husband was taken by the look of a hot dog someone else had ordered , so he had one of those , delicious was his comment. I'm rather funny about coffee (ditchwater my family call it) , so I ordered a very weak coffee, which unfortunately was still too strong, my husband suggested to the waitress that maybe it would be an idea to have a jar of instant on standby, surprise surprise they did have, so I had to my mind a beautiful cup of coffee, all with a smile. We returned when the others had finished their walk, I'm sure they were getting ready to close, they were virtually all cleared up, but eight of us descended on them and again there was service with a smile, lovely jacket potato, hot dogs and scones all freshly prepared for us, even a cheese sandwich for the baby,we left a bit of a mess on the floor compliments of the grated cheese,we did offer to clear it up but no they said they had to do the floor yet anyway. Our "residents association" had a meal here and Kate kindly opened up to accommodate the 12 of us last night. The Bistro has a nice feel to it and the food was wholesome and wine was very pleasant. Lovely country setting & loads of parking. Next time we are in the Dymchurch area I can feel coffee & cake calling!!
