Some friends of ours treated us to dinner at Katch 22 last Sunday evening. We received a friendly welcome and outstanding service throughout the occasion. I had a huge bowl of homemade mushroom soup to start followed by plaice in cream sauce with grapes. Both dishes were excellent. All the meals were big on size and flavour. My wife had salmon with Teryaki sauce and rice and a giant chocolate meringue desert filled with ice cream and mousse. It is a little bit of a drive down from Belfast to Kirkcubbin but well worth it to eat at this wonderful restaurant. Highly recommend. Seems to be a popular place with local people judging by the friendliness of the discourse between owner and customers.

We love to visit Katch with our brother and sister in law. We have never been disappointed with the food - it is delicious. Our only problem is what to choose as we usually love everything on the menu! We’ll be back very soon again

Daft Eddies

03/10/2018: We had a great lunch here on a very pleasant summer day with a window table overlooking the Lough. The lunch menu is great value at just under £20.00. There is also a selection of starters, mains and desserts. All of which are well presented and so well cooked.
03/11/2018: We stopped for lunch on our tour of the surrounding sights of Strangford Lough .

The Old Post Office

23/11/2018: Early morning coffee stop, quickly seated and served , good choice of fresh scones and traybakes. Cinnamon scones was delicious.Quirky interior, lots different seating areas. The room had a cosy fire in ingllenook fireplace.do just remember the original old post office at Lisbane. Little gift shop with Christmas theme at this time of year.car parking available and pantry shop for takeaway bakes. Popular little spot.
16/12/2018: The newly branded OPO has had some positive tweaks & changes; larger traybakes, some new pastries and sandwich cakes. But the old stalwart of lasagne really misses the mark. I hesitated when I'd seen it but realised the mistake when I was gnawing it...hopefully there will be a tweak. There's barely any sauce. Hopefully they can tweak it. The salads are still fantastic.
